Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Steve Gresswell | solo artist and a member of The Inner Road, Coalition, and S.G. Group. STEVE GRESSWELL has been a professional musician for many years and is listed in the INTERNATIONAL WHO'S WHO OF MUSIC (POPULAR). Steve writes, plays the instruments on, records and produces his own music. Steve's first professional band was in 1970 when Steve was only 15 years old. The band name was JUSTIN CANNS. The members of Justin Canns were, Steve Gresswell, Dave Minty, Roger Fletcher, Pete Cox and Dave Harding. Justin Canns became successful very quickly - and they performed in the Rock Musical 'The Soldiers Are Coming' at the Arts Theatre in the West End of London. This show was highly acclaimed. In 1975 Steve worked on his own projects with drummer Mick Kirton (who later went on to work with the Groundhogs and Hawkwind). It was during this time that Steve was in Gyppo with Bob Moody, Mick Kirton, Steve Towner and Alan Arkless. It was also in 1977 that Steve first began his training as Sound Engineer/Producer at Multium Studios in Southill Park, Bracknell - under the expert guidance of Engineer/Producer Doug Gleave. Steve formed his next band Scorpio (a Rock Band) in 1977. Scorpio was Steve Gresswell (Founder member/Songwriter/Keyboards), Kenny Serth (Drums), Kevin Ball (Vocals/Songwriter in original line-up) Mike McDonald (Vocals/Songwriter), Harry Brzezinski (Guitar/Songwriter), Nick Hollings (Guitar/Songwriter in original line-up), and Pete Brill (Guitar). Scorpio toured extensively throughout the South of England, as well as Denmark and Norway. Scorpio had a large following, and sold out each venue they played. The music press loved Scorpio, and reviews on the band were frequent and favourable. Scorpio released a single on the Quicksilver label - 'Taking England By Storm'. They also released the single Express Yourself under the pseudonym Oddjob which charted in the UK Disco Charts, and which launched the Lighting Record Label - part of Trojan Records. In 1982 Steve produced and released a single by his band Dream called Just For You. This single became a favourite with radio listeners and became Radio Manchester's 'Record of the Week'. In 1984 Steve formed Poiema as a special project for the Play Cross Purposes which was written by his close friend and renowned playwright Don McGovern. Poiema performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for three weeks in the August, and at Bridge Lane Theatre in London in March 1985. Steve recorded and produced a single of two of the songs from the play - performed by his band. This is the time that Steve started working with Richard Demarco OBE, and became his Technical Director for all his productions. During 1984 Steve also worked on a collaboration with the late David Byron (formerly of Uriah Heep). In 1985 Steve briefly joined Heavy Rock band After Dark during whiach time they released the single Call of the Wild on the Laser Records label. After he left After Dark Steve formed his own band Scorpio II. In 1986 Steve formed a new band, Guardian Angel. Guardian Angel's style was compared favourably to Genesis. In 1987 Steve changed the line-up and the band played at the Official Party for the Edinburgh Tattoo Festival - in the Scottish National Gallery - the first time any band had been allowed to play in such a venue. This line up consisted of Steve Gresswell on keyboards, Phil Mercy on guitars, John Procter on bass, Chris Wigmore on vocals and Caro Adler on vocals. In 1989 Steve released the Official Record under his SG Band for the Lockerbie | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Dorotabou | どろたぼう (Dorotabou) | Aburadako and The Stalin inspired Japanese punk band from Kobe, consisted of [a=Laukaus] and [a=Kruw] members. Active from 2004 to 2006. Dorotabou was formed while Laukaus was still active. The band members operated their own label [l=生存不能 レコード] (Seizon Funo Records). "Dorotabou "Kyomu no kukan" MCDR - The first track starts you off on a march reminiscent of the hard punk of The Stalin and the second track doesn't relent, but turns the march to high gear with the only break the chants of "ASA! HIRU! BAN!!" with a high-pitched scream reminiscent of Yokai from Laukaus/Kruw on their recent recordings. By "Niku" (not a Stalin cover) the listener gets a chance to slow down and shuffle their feet a bit into the fourth track, a downward spiral into madness, only broken by shouted-out gang vocals. Picture a Japanese Igyy Pop with his throng of devoted fans pumping their fists and working themselves into a frenzy by the end of the song - that's how this one goes. After five tracks of solid hard punk, you're treated to an Aburadako cover ("Erusaremu no kutsujyoku") that's done quite well. This one is recommended for fans of Aburadako, The Stalin, SS, and other classic Japanese bands before Gism took over and turned punk on its ear." (by Terminal Boredom) |

The vibe is vivacious and the sound is alienating. These are musical explorers. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Stereo Headz | Luis Norte | Luis Norte is a Techno producer and DJ who, since his early age, has been captivated by electronic music, sparked by the discovery of his father's vinyl record collection - analog recordings with unique textures and sounds that served as portals to different worlds. In those days, unable to fully explain the depth of his passion, he noticed that, when surrounded by music equipment, the dimension of time would simply fade away. Curating music and compiling mixtapes became an immersive journey, each one a self-made musical universe. It was in this period that he uncovered the immersive and distinctive Detroit Techno, embracing artists such as Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Richie Hawtin. Fuelled by the desire to master the art of DJing, Luis Norte set up two turntables and a mixer in his basement, establishing a refuge where dreams and reality seamlessly blended. Until, like a beam of light in the darkness, the synchronization of two records became a reality. Overflowing with joy, he left the turntables untouched, eager to share his achievement with friends. The story had just begun, and his world would never be the same. With a fervent intention to share his musical influences, Luis Norte began organizing electronic music events. This phase of his career not only deepened his understanding of the music industry but also allowed him to share the stage with renowned artists such as Adam Beyer, Redhead, DJ Misjah, Jesus del Campo, Jiggy, and A. Paul. Over time, Luis Norte developed a unique perspective on music and a strong desire to express his ideas. In this context, he decided to establish a music production studio,a space where he has been sculpting his sonic language to this day. Later, he adopted the pseudonym Stereo Headz, achieving a notable milestone with a participation in Lula's album "The Underground Sound Of Portugal And Me," released by the prestigious Kult Records (USA). Subsequently, a prolonged sabbatical period followed, during which Luis Norte reevaluated his perspective on electronic music. This introspection led to a new alias, Frida Hepburn, reflecting not only his ambition to challenge technological boundaries with a more intelligible vision of Techno but also to provoke reflection on the struggle for authenticity in a world shaped by social expectations. For Luis Norte, Techno doesn’t aspire to be a tangible reality but rather a means of conveying emotions, moods, or subjective concepts open to interpretation by each individual. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Swansong for a Raven | Swansong for a Raven (SfaR) started during summer 2007, created by Julien on bass and Estelle on vocals. They wanted SfaR to have a very strong visual identity. In december 2008, the promo video for the song Baby Goth Metal was shot. It was a reference to all the styles which used to influence the band back then. The first autoproduced EP « Secret » has been released in february 2009 and was featuring this video. After that, SfaR started to forge its name on the local scene, and played with the Japanese band Anli Pollicino at the Grillen in Colmar, and also at the 2010 Artefacts festival which took place at La Laiterie in Strasbourg. On the 1st of July 2011, the band released their first album « Love, Darkness and Decadence » which will definitely pose the bases of their style. After numerous concerts and the release of the One more on the Road PV and single, most of the members of Swansong for a Raven decided to leave the band in July 2012. Julien and Estelle decided to take advantage of this change to give the band a new musical direction. The band has been on hiatus for almost a year before coming back in a new form. In summer 2013, seven years after the beginning of the band even tough it’s the same name Julien and Estelle come back with a whole new style. The new music is composed only of strong distorted bass guitar, drums and vocals for a whole new sound. After making 3 new videoclips (Youtube Channel here), the band went to Japan for 2 concerts, and after that, in december 2013, they joined the Japanese band Eat You Alive as opening band for their European Tour. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | The Legitimate Excuse | The Legitimate Excuse (TLE), TLE was formed in 2001 in Pennsylvania by me and my great friend Nick Onorato. After recording an EP "Always The Last To Know" and an LP "For Reasons Left Unsaid" on our own in a storage shed, we decided to move the band to Baltimore, Maryland where bassist Phil Sweeney and drummer Kris Gobeil hopped on board. In the summer of 2002 we drove down to Florida and entered our first real studio where we recorded the full length record "Pathetic, Ordinary" (which is where the Alesana song title derived from. It was my way of paying tribute to TLE). After playing shows for over a year, Patrick Thompson (guitarist of Alesana and my co-writer for the last 9 years) joined the band where he actually played his first ever rock show. Not too long after, the members of TLE parted ways, some to finish college, others to start new projects. Shawn - lead vocals/guitar/keyboard Nick - backup vocals/guitar Phil - backup vocals/bass Kris - drums | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Sen-Sei | Nathan Uhlir | Sen-Sei, a native to Brooklyn ,N.Y., started his musical career at age five. After 13 years of studying classical music, Sen-Sei had mastered the finer elements of piano playing. A demonstration of his musical talent was seen at Carnegie Hall in 1989. In the following two years, Sen-Sei found himself in and out of bands that ranged in funk, jazz, and top 40 of the time. Problem was, he couldn’t find the type of music that really moved him. After relocating to San Francisco in 1991, Sen-Sei experienced his first underground house party, dancing to the beats of DJ’s Dutch, Carlos, and MoonPup. From that moment on, it was clear that dance music was the true love for Sen-Sei. Sen-Sei's ingenious talent lies in his ability to take electronic music production out of the sterile recording studio and into the lives of the fans by creating the music real-time, on-stage. He has teamed with well-known DJs world-wide to create a cutting-edge infusion of sound. When he is not performing, Sen-Sei is creating music for CD, vinyl, television, and movie. |
