Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Stefan Wermelin | Erik Stefan Wermelin | Swedish music producer and host of Swedish Radio, born September 1, 1946. His program Wermelin is broadcast on Swedish Radio P4 on Sundays 22.05-23.00. He has received the Swedish Radio Language Prize 1998, the Grand Radio Prize 2001 and the Grammys 2001 and 2003 for his work with music on the radio. Together with Staffan Schöier, Wermelin has made several radio series about Swedish music and entertainment history. Their collaboration began with the program series Life is a Party in 1999, about Swedish pop and rock music from the 1960s onwards, and continued in 2001 with the series A Schlager in Sweden, about older popular music. In the summers of 2002 and 2003, they made the radio series The Svenska Ord Story about Hans Alfredson and Tage Danielsson, which subsequently resulted in the book Svenska Ord & Co, for which they received STIM's writer's scholarship in 2006. During 2007-2008, an even more historically oriented radio series is broadcast, Swedish Entertainment, which deals with Sweden's entertainment history throughout the 20th century. |

Search | Add | 4 | Peel MD | "Swedish duo PEEL MD was formed in 2008 after Tomrum finally managed to persuade A. Stantz that they should jam together. The core of their sound is driving drums, 303's (there's something particular about them), noise-free midi, lots of fx and a dub approach to the often cheap mixer desk. Since their 2012 debut "Grip EP" on Börft Records (which blew the ears off the Swedish underground with its 120bpm dirty and wobbly psychotic acid techno) the releases have kept coming. The foundations of their music lie back in the early 90's; they both grew up on the countryside outside the town Örebro, both were dreamers and were pretty much alone to be into house and techno, plus they both had older brothers that where into synth music. This shared background led to a friendship that later evolved into PEEL MD. They quickly discovered they worked good together and while Tomrum was an awkwardly-obsessive sound junkie, A. Stantz had a feel for how to mould their acid explorations into something danceable with a beginning, middle and an end. They also discovered they both had a slight hearing impairment but luckily in different ears, so together they would still be able to hear in stereo. Sometimes the sum of two takes it all to another level, and PEEL MD, one of Sweden’s best kept underground secrets, is a great example of this!" Search | Add | 4 | Sandra Simões | Sandra Simões | Sandra Simões is a little-known Christian pop/rock/MPB singer, who began her career in Christian music as one of the backing vocals of [a6302877] in its original new wave phase together with Claudia Bastos Makuko, having recorded with them the albums "O Som que makes you spin" (1989) and "Katsbarnea/Extra" (1990). Years after the band's reformation and her departure, she would embark on a solo career, which was not very long in terms of number of releases, but yielded two fantastic albums where she reinterprets classic songs by singers and bands such as [a4157173], [a6676910], Mingo & Rod Mayer , [a6192653], [a3180844] and [a6850604], [a903792], among others. In addition to her two albums, she appeared in several compilations and works, such as the album "Calmo, Sereno e Tranquilo" by [a6715430] (2000), "O Maior Palhaço do Mundo" by [a6715430] (1997), and several compilations. |

Search | Add | 4 | Exebelle | Known as "Exebelle And The Rusted Cavalcade" until 2017. Taking inspiration from Virginia's folk tradition as well as the rural country-rock of Ryan Adams, the Band, and Neil Young, songwriters Philip Heesen and C.E. Wright formed Exebelle & the Rusted Cavalcade in September 2007. Kerry Hutcherson joined the duo soon after, having previously cut his teeth with the local group Copper Sails, while bassist Ryan Owenby enlisted after the disintegration of his own Richmond-based band, Motion Picture Demise. The lineup remained intact for the local release of The Skeletor Sessions in 2008; shortly thereafter, though, Wright returned to his native Utah. With their original frontman gone, the remaining members began incorporating thick harmonies and varied instrumentation into their previously stripped-down music. The Antipoison Creek Sessions displayed the new sound in 2009, with each member contributing lead vocals to at least one of the EP's four tracks, and the countrified C.A.F. followed a few months later. Exebelle wrapped up the year by putting the finishing touches on Vivement l'Automne!, which appeared in early 2010. That same year, Virginia native Ben Willson joined the group on piano and vocals, making his Exebelle [record] debut on 2011's "V". - Andrew Leahey, AllMusicGuide Having gone without drums for quite some time, the band gained the aid of Mike Trimble for a short while in 2011 -- who had performed previously drummed with the band, some years before -- but then were back to square one when nature called Mike to LA. In 2012, with Phil's newly-acquired position in the popular Richmond band "Long Arms", he and their drummer Greg Butler became fast friends, leading Greg to graciously agree, along with Willson's friend and former bandmate Steve Chiles filling Owenby's spot on bass, to join the ranks of the Cavalcade in their quest toward a rowdier, more rewarding destiny. In 2014, Butler moved on and Exebelle welcomed drummer Kevin Willoughby into the fold. In early 2017, Exebelle welcomed bassist Mikey Bryant (Alabama Thunderpussy, Kid Is Qual) to the band. | |

With a KKKK review in Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Powerplay magazines etc all passed comment on the quality of FULC’s songwriting. FULC hit the road again in winter 2003 for a further 20 date promotional tour, their most successful yet. Featured on BBC Radio 1 One Music FULC were no.1 in the “Lock Up” chart for 6 months and playlisted on Radio One in July 2003. FULC were personally selected by Mary Anne Hobbs to perform at a Radio One Rock Show event in Leeds in June 2003. Mike Davies ( R1 DJ ) described FULC song “Nest” as :- “Fantastic, Fulc have got subtlety down to a fine art,”Nest” rocks in all the right places without thrusting itself in your face. This is both melodic and bowel shakingly heavy and will have rock fans creaming themselves to catch them perform live “ FULC supported Vendetta Red, Span, Agnostic Front, Skindred, Fony, Vacant Stare, Spear of Destiny, Kinesis, Martin Grech and others. Tours were sponsored by Jagermeister alongside The Darkness, Violent Delight and This Girl. FULC headlined the second stage at the 2003 Bloodstock Festival in Derby, alongside Saxon and Paradise Lost on the main stage. Two further 15 date UK tours took place in 2004. Recording their final album at The Chapel in South Thoresby in Oct 2004, this was followed by tours of Germany and the UK in 2005 to promote their second album "Embrace.Destroy" which received much critical acclaim in the UK and Germany. Shortly after the release of Embrace.Destroy in May 2005 personal circumstances led to a hiatus which the band never recovered from. Lineup: Duane Walker - lead vocals, guitar Rik Clay - lead guitar, backing vocals Kris Kilmore - bass Mark Cooke - drums |

Search | Add | 4 | Thomas Näfe | Thomas Näfe | Born 1968 in Darmstadt (Germany) and electronic native since the early eighties at the age of 13. I have chosen the synonym "the artist formerly unknown" because I prefer the unknown part in the background of my projects. I have started in the mid 80s to produce electronic music in many projects with various singers or solo. With singer Dirk, I started the first project "Perspex Hearts in the Fog" (PHF) in 1985. The name was inspired by OMD, but the music was more experimental. I programmed some tracks on a Commodore 64 with the software "Sound Monitor" and an early C64 sample-module. The result were some very low quality synthpop-tracks trying to sound like a mixture of "art of noise", "the human league" and "omd". Maybe I will upload some of the funny tracks in near future... With singer Manfred I started "Delete Delete" in 1987. Influenced by hard industrial and EBM stuff (Klinik, aGrumh, Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle, Non, Current 93, Severed Heads) and some pop heroes (OMD, Depeche Mode, Human League, New Order). We have tried to combine these influences using some nice gadgets: Korg MS20, Korg PolySix, Korg CR8000, Roland CSQ600, Roland MC202, Roland TB303, Roland TR626 and some digital devices Korg DDD1, Casio CZ101, Casio SK1, Casio SK5, Korg Poly800, Commodore Amiga 500. We released 2 Tapes in 1988 and performed some strange live gigs. In 1989 keyboarder Axel joined "Delete Delete" and we switched to be more catchy. Before the third tape was ready and maybe a record-deal was signed, we split because of musical differences. Between 1990 and 1995 I wrote a lot of pop songs using my PolySix, Korg DDD1 and the brandnew Roland JD800 sequenced by KMS on an Amiga 500. Some of these tracks were used later for "Commercial" and "The artist formerly unknown". With singer Kai I started "Banality" in 1996. We produced a demo-cd "demonstration" in 1996 which we tried to "sell" in London. We walked from door to door of nearly all London based labels, but without any success. The classical 80s synthpop was not very popular in 1996, so we were refused. Later that year we renamed the project to "commercial" and decided to sound more "90s". We released the mini-album "Concepts" (500 copies) and shipped 90 copies to various labels again. The feedback was frustrating: "The vocals are too 80s and the sound is not compatible to chart productions". We tried to produce a "hit" and released the single-cd "forever" in 1998. The refrain was sung by female vocalist "Antonia" to get more "90s". The Track was no 1 in the local Radio-Charts and No 2 in the year 1998. But no label was interested. In 1998 we produced some more tracks and performed some Gigs, but without any success we stopped producing songs together. My SetUp this time: Roland JD800, Korg PolySix, Roland JX3P, Roland JX8P, Boss Dr550, Kurzweil MicroPiano, Moog Prodigy, Roland Orchestra Module OC1, Deep Bass 9, Roland JP8000, Akai S2000, Waldorf PulsePlus, Roland S330 and various effects. Since 1995 I switched to Cubase on a MAC for sequencing. From now on, I recorded some demotracks with various vocalists and I produced many instrumental tracks as "The artist formerly unknown". First I wanted to produce Trance, but soon I decided to ignore all genres and I produced melodic, danceable, instrumental, electronic music. Somewhere between trance, ambient, synthpop and soundtracks. In 2000 I switched from Cubase to Logic for sequencing and additional to the commercial-setup I began to use virtual instruments. Today I use virtual instruments only, cause I sold all equipment somme years ago to pay some bills :-) Actually, I am looking for a singer (m/f) to continue writing electronic popmusic. |

Search | Add | 4 | Tjuva | Sweden EDM act, formed by Emmy Altemyr and Jasmina Mujcinovic. Meet the newest female duo that’s turning heads in dance music: Tjuva. Although freshly established on Facebook and Soundcloud, these girls have been working hard together since Tjuva’s inception nearly two years ago. Both members, Emmy Altemyr and Jasmina Mujcinovic, were on the solo DJ career path when they first met. Attending a production course in Ibiza back in 2012, Emmy and Jasmina connected instantly after meeting; and soon the girls decided to join forces and fulfill their dreams of producing their own dance music. Now back in Sweden, the collective work of Tjuva is alive and the duo is ready to release their first original track, entitled Euphony, on October 8th. Check out the preview video to Euphony below! On top of putting in the major studio time, these two are keeping their momentum alive by playing gigs all over Sweden including the upcoming Life In Color in Umea. The lineup holds a spot for Tjuva alongside big names including Adrian Lux, Sebjak, Rebecca & Fiona and more. Their debut track Euphony is set to release on Link Music, a branch of Sony, setting these girls up for success – so long as they stay true to their vision and continue to develop their unique style. Keep your eyes on these two; with the rarity and increasing demand of solid females behind the decks, Tjuva could potentially be the next female mainstay in electronic dance music.
