Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Jean-Claude Gallotta | French Dancer And Choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta Following a lengthy stay in New York at the end of the 1970s, during which he met Merce Cunningham and discovered the world of post-modern dance (Yvonne Rainer, Lucinda Childs, Trisha Brown...), Jean-Claude Gallotta returned to Grenoble and, with Mathilde Altaraz, founded the Groupe Émile Dubois, which in 1981 took up residence in the Maison de la Culture de Grenoble (House of Culture). In 1984 it was named a National Choreographic Center, one of the first of its kind in France. With his first ballet, Ulysse, in 1981, his international reputation was assured. Other works followed, including Daphnis é Chloé (1982), Hommage à Yves P. (1983), Mammame (1985), Docteur Labus (1988), Presque Don Quichotte (1999), and Trois générations (2004). Between 1997 and 1999, he directed a Japanese dance company in Shizuoka, Japan. Over the years his choreographic creations – over 90 to date – widened to embrace other arts: cinema (he has two feature-length films to his credit), video, literature (les Larmes de Marco Polo (2000), l’Etranger (The Outsider, 2015) and Comme un trio (Like A Trio, 2018), based on Françoise Sagan’s novel Bonjour Tristesse), classical music – (Bach danse experience (2008), l’Amour sorcier (2013), working with the stage director Jacques Osinski and the orchestra conductor Marc Minkowski; and le Sacre et ses révolutions (2015) performed at the Paris Philharmonia); original music – working with composers such as Henri Torgue, Serge Houppin and Strigall; and even pop music, thereby expanding the frontiers of contemporary dance deemed somewhat elitist. In the pop music register, working with the singer Olivia Ruiz, he created Volver, presented at the Biennale of Dance in Lyon in 2016. His additional work in the genre includes his triptych My Rock (2004), l’Homme à tête de chou (Cabbage Head Man , 2009 reprised in 2019), and My Ladies Rock (2017). The French Ministry of Culture has recognized the Groupe Émile Dubois as a dance company with national and international impact. The company is now resident at the MC2: Grenoble. Jean-Claude Gallotta is also an associate author at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris. He is currently working on his latest creation, Le Jour se rêve (The day dawns, the day dreams) which will be created in the fall 2020. For this project he collaborate with musician and composer Rodolphe Burger and visual artist Dominique Gonzales Foerster. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | The New Kinetics | Garage rock band from San Diego, California, formed in October 2010 by singer Birdy Bardot (real name Emily Reilly) and her husband, guitarist/keyboardist Brian Reilly, with drummer Jon Bonser and bassist Leslie Schultze. They self-released their debut EP Rock & Roll Has Got To Go that November, then signed to Aural Gravy Records for their first full-length album, Contact, released on CD and digital in September 2011. They wanted to release their next album on vinyl, but Aural Gravy was unwilling to pay for the expense, so the band ran a Kickstarter campaign and raised $5,000 to record in San Francisco with producer [a=John Vanderslice] and release the LP themselves. In Stereo was released in December 2012 on the band's own imprint, Anobel Records. Schultze departed the band in April 2013 to focus on her new project, [a=Flaggs], and was replaced by Josh Kmak. TNK broke up that June due to the Reillys' plans to move back to the East Coast, but plans changed and the band regrouped in early 2014 and recorded an EP, Red, which went unreleased. They announced their impending breakup in October 2016, and played their farewell show two months later on New Years Eve. The Red EP was released to streaming services in June of 2021. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Heillig Manoeuvre | hy-lig-ma-noo-ver What is a Heillig Manoeuvre? Heillig Manoeuvre is a Toronto-based quartet whose repertoire consists of original instrumental jazz. Bassist/bandleader Henry Heillig describes what they do as thoughtful fun. “I write songs, with melody and elements of my own character. They become jazz in performance with my musical partners.” — Henry Heillig Heillig is best known for his twenty+ years as musical director of Manteca, the nine-piece afro/latin/world-beat/calypso/jazz ensemble. “Manteca was a great ride, much like an ocean liner. Heillig Manoeuvre by comparison, is a sailboat that can change direction on a gust of spontaneity. Our performances have form, but also room for fresh ideas, and we push each other to be our very best. Audience reaction to our approach has been uniformly rewarding!” — Henry Heillig | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Jorge Eduardo Eielson | Jorge Eduardo Eielson (April 13, 1924 – March 8, 2006) was a Peruvian artist and writer. As an artist he is known for his quipus, a reinterpretation of an ancient Andean device, they are considered precursors of conceptual art. Eielson was born in Lima on April 13, 1924. His father died when he was seven years old so he was raised by his mother. At a young age he developed artistic tendencies: he played the piano, drew copiously and recited poetry. Eielson switched schools several times until at the end of his secondary education he met the anthropologist and writer José María Arguedas who introduced him to the artistic and literary circles of Lima as well as to the knowledge of the ancient civilizations of Peru.[2] Eielson started studies at the National University of San Marcos in 1941. He won the National Poetry Award three years later and the National Drama Award in 1948, when he also held a successful art exhibition at the Lima Gallery. In the same year, he traveled to Paris under a French government scholarship, in that city he exhibited at the Colette Allendy gallery before traveling to Switzerland thanks to a UNESCO scholarship. In 1951, he travels to Italy for a summer vacation and decides to settle permanently in Rome. During this period he wrote the collection of poems Habitación en Roma and two novels: El cuerpo de Giulia-No and Primera muerte de María. In the late 1950s, he abandoned avant-garde and resorts to using materials such as earth, sand and clay to sculpt in the canvas surface; at first he uses this technique to depict landscapes but gradually moves towards human figures represented through clothing of various kinds. In 1963 he started his first quipu, reinventing this ancient Andean device with fabrics of brilliant colors, knotted and tied on canvas. Eielson's quipus were exhibited in the 1964 Venice Biennale to wide acclaim[citation needed]. In the mid 1970s, he traveled to Peru where he devoted himself to the study of pre-Columbian art; during this period, the Instituto Nacional de Cultura (National Institute of Culture) published most of his poetry under the title Poesía escrita. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1978 for a lecture in New York. | |
