Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Jimmie Durham | Jimmie Durham (1940–2021) was an American artist, poet, and writer who lived in Europe. From the early 1960s he was politically active in the American civil rights movement and began to work as a sculptor in 1964. In the 1970s, he was a co-founder and chairman of the International Indian Treaty Council at the United Nations, where his and others’ work led to the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Durham became internationally known in the 1980s with objects and sculptures made from materials such as stones, animal skulls and bones, and carved wood, ironically related to Euro-centric notions of “Indian art.” In 1987, Durham left the United States, first to go to Mexico and then, in 1994, to Europe. From this point on, he also increasingly observed European political developments. The relationship between history and environment, architecture and monumentality, and a critical attitude towards political structures of power and narratives of national identity are often at the center of his artistic and literary work. In sculptures, film and video works, drawings and texts, Durham described behaviors and norms of coexistence and the relationship with nature in different cultures and societies. Jimmie Durham has exhibited worldwide, including at the Venice Biennale, Documenta, Serpentine Gallery, Walker Art Center, Whitney Museum, and many others. He was awarded The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 58th Venice Biennial, the Robert Rauschenberg Award in 2017, and the Goslarer Kaiserring Prize in 2016. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Bröderna Brothers Design | Design agency run by [a84940] of Reeperbahn fame and his brother [a2387265]. Not to be confused with the Gothenburg band [a434723] (formed 1986) or the [l32314] design agency with the same name [a16650131] The Sundquist brothers designed a number of albums, singles during the early and mid eighties. Mostly for Stockholm based bands in the new wave genre. They picked the alias Bröderna Brothers to be a bit secretive during the artwork production for Venuspassagen by Reeperbahn. Dan thought, back then, that adding/his own name on his bands album cover seemed a bit cringe. All the artwork for Venuspassagen was his work and doing, while Pelle colorized the image on the front cover. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Crossfire Duo | Crossfire Duo consisted of percussionists Bob Fullex and Jason Bauers, and was active from 2010 through 2013. The two drummers met as teenagers in the wintry barracks of Buffalo, NY, taking lessons from the same local teacher, and continued their collaboration in grad school at SUNY Buffalo. The group took their name from one of the first pieces they tackled, Richard Festinger’s Gordian, stamina-testing, Crossfire, which they spent a year perfecting. Always a collaborative project, Crossfire built their distinctive repertoire from the ground up, commissioning new works from Rust Belt-based composers with whom they worked very closely, allowing these artists to help shape the duo into what it became (their only stipulation being that each piece’s percussion battery be able to wedge into a small sedan for touring). Through intense basement sessions marked by trial, error, and experimentation, Crossfire and their collaborators cultivated an eccentric arsenal of pieces marked by a variety of newly-developed and highly-nuanced techniques, including some works–like Jacob Gotlib’s Portrait Sequence (Blanching Out) and Megan Grace Buegger’s Daring Doris–that didn’t even involve striking a single object. The duo performed these works around the Midwest and at prestigious festivals alongside ensembles such as the Slee Sinfonietta. Bob and Jason’s work eventually took them to different parts of the state, forcing Crossfire to hang up their sticks, but not before the duo executed an impressive recording of some of the key pieces of their rep. Recently unearthed, their album Vellum was released by Infrasonic Press in Summer 2023. | |
