Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 17 | Riandy Karuniawan | Riandy Karuniawan was born in Aceh, Indonesia and migrated to Bandung to study architecture. Bandung introduced Riandy to the indie and underground music scene, which he often did illustrations for album covers and band merchandise. Straddling the dualities of reality and fantasy, Riandy as a visual artist is able to create a porthole into alternative realms and curious landscapes that transport the viewer into a hallucinogenic state of mind. The energies between natural life forms and technology are brought to life as he transcends between alien landscapes veiled in vivid auras crawling with beasts juxtapozed with dream like sci-fi elements. Karuniawan’s preoccupation with unlocking the unconscious mind is reflected in his style. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Biggy Smallz | Tim Bigelow | Biggy Smallz (born in 1979) was an underground White/Latino rapper from the west coast who started recording music in 1991 when he was around 12 years old. He is the main reason The Notorious B.I.G. was unable to use his nickname (Biggie Smalls) as his official stage name. By the time The Notorious B.I.G's album Ready To Die dropped in September 1994, the original Biggy Smallz was just 16 years old. Ready To Die inadvertently helped boost the sales of the original Biggy Smallz' records due to confusion in the listening market. In other words, people accidentally bought Biggy Smallz' records thinking they were buying The Notorious B.I.G's. Although he did release other songs. When The Gulf War ended in 1991 he, like many artists, created a tribute song about it entitled "When Duty Calls." |

| Search | Add | 17 | 821 | Special music enthusiast, drone music writer and player. Combining the European ancient instrument, the hurdy-gurdy, nicknamed the 'medieval synthesiser', and a state-of-the-art modular synthesiser reminiscent of early electronic music, he performs in a thoroughly abstract style of expression based on drone (performance with sustained sound), which is concerned with 'sounds that lead to other worlds' that directly affect the listener's musical sensibilities, rather than his or her own. The band's performances are concerned with "sounds that lead to other worlds", which directly affect the listener's senses rather than his or her musical sensibilities. In the past, he has participated in bands and units of various genres, including the unit Sarry formed with female vocalist Fuji-Yuki, and has also produced and released many works from labels in Europe and other parts of the world, as well as touring in Europe, Australia and Taiwan. PEPPINO PIPPIA (Fisarmonicista) Born in Narbolia in 1937, Peppino Pippia was the first accordionist to go on stage and accompany the cantadores (Singers of Sardinian folklore with guitar "Cantu a chitarra"), along with the traditional guitarist. It happened during a race at Codrongianos. [a=Nicolino Cabizza], convinced that the stage should be enriched and renewed with another figure, invited Peppino Pippia, then very young, to perform together with the cantadores and the guitarist. For Sardinian singing it was a true revolution, appreciated by innovators and challenged by traditionalists. For Peppino Pippia it was undoubtedly a growing success, especially since he partnered with guitarist [a=Adolfo Merella], forming a close-knit and high-quality duo. Many of his performances, not only in Sardinia and in Italy, but also abroad, and not less the recordings. | Search | Add | 17 | Astral Dance | Pelle Händén | Astral Dance is Pelle Händén, a Swedish synthesist and pioneer within Swedish electronica music who has always proved his worth as both an exemplary synthesist and composer of progressive soundscapes from beyond. He reveals himself as a multi-instrumentalist of great adeptness. All in all his music cutting across and blending a wide range of styles most effectively. A sense of atmosphere plays a key role and creates energetic electronica soundtrack-like moods. Astral Dance is a splendid machinery of talented creations. It is both very dark and wonderfully bright. There is plenty to choose from here. From soothing arpeggios, to the snarling but graceful drums. It is a world filled to the brim of oriental delights and music paradises. Slight basses and hums tiptoe. Dark pads sneak in then back out again. Twinkles of stars represent the sweet sounding arpeggios. High notes reaching the very sky and plucking the moon from it. Settling it nicely in us all. Romances abstract, grief and joy, lost moments of love and pain. I'ts all here for you. |

He is eminent for instigating Neo-Rockabilly with his band Danny Dean and the Homewreckers and his modern 80's twist on vintage rock and roll throughout the Pre- Nascent Rockabilly Revival and the Neo-Swing Revival, opening up for and touring with established acts like The Specials, English Beat, Big Bad Voodo Daddy, Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats, a Flock of Seagulls, Missing Persons, Berlin, Dramarama, the Blasters, Reverend Horton Heat, Real Life, and the General Public to name a few. Currently Danny Dean is involved in many band projects between touring with some pretty big acts he has also opened a chain of analog recording studios from New York to California. |

| Search | Add | 17 | Sasss | Female trio of singers who were often hired by local producers, for background vocals on recording sessions. New York producers got wind of the group and began soliciting them for projects. The earlier Sasss days included the "You've Got What It Takes" UK Tour with Bobby Thurston. During the early 80s Sasss received the chance to travel to Europe, where they performed at various club venues in London, Scotland and Wales. Upon returning to the US, the group auditioned for a record promoter by the name of Maxx Kidd who immediately took them on and began managing the group. He introduced the group to Philadelphia International Records Producer and Songwriter, Dexter Wansel and Cynthia Biggs. Sasss began doing background recordings under Dexter's direction and were later featured on some of Lou Rawls' and Pieces of a Dream's recordings. Dexter signed the group with a London label, Virgin's 10 Records. One of their releases on the label, "I Didnt Mean It At All," made the International Billboard Charts. Sasss are also the recorded background voices on Sharon Redd's song "Can You Handle It," which was originally recorded for a Sasss release. Other contributions include Gayle Adams' songs "Love Fever" and "Your Love Is A Lifesaver" among several other Adams recordings. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Art Perko | Arthur J. Perko | Art Perko (1935 - 2008) was a leading talent of the new wave of young polka musicians who followed the Cleveland-Style legends of the 1950s. His most popular band line-up, featuring Billy Tomsick, Mike Dragas, Ray Sterle, and Roger DeBenedict, performed for 32 years. Cleveland's largely Slovenian St. Clair-Superior neighborhood was home to Art. He was considered one of the best boy sopranos in the St. Vitus school choir. He began accordion lessons at age six and led his first band at 13. Art and his band were frequent guests on the popular syndicated Polka Varieties television show in the 1960s and 1970s. The group was one of the first to record with the Delta International polka label. Art's four albums included many fan favorites, such as “Quick Stop Polka” and “Magic Trumpets.” He scored a pop hit with his bouncy “Peanuts Polka” in 1965. On Cleveland radio charts, "Peanuts" peaked at No. 9 the same week the Beatles’ “Ticket to Ride” was No. 1. After a ten-year break from music, Art formed a new band in 1998 and recorded an album, “Reunited.” In the 2000s, Art hosted Sunday night jam sessions in the Collinwood neighborhood at the 4-Rs Tavern. |

| Search | Add | 17 | Sondra Williams | Sondra "Blinky" Williams (born May 21, 1944 in Oakland, California is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. She recorded the album Hark The Voice on Atlantic Records, then moved to Motown where she recorded (as "Blinky") five singles including her debut, the Ashford & Simpson penned single "I Wouldn't Change The Man He Is", (a song reportedly written about Lovin' Spoonful studio bass player James Killingsworth) in 1968, and thought she would find success when she recorded a duet album with Edwin Starr entitled Just We Two on the heels of his 25 Miles. However, they did not get the push that either the Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell or the Supremes-Temptations duets did, and success again eluded her when, after becoming a protégé of Sammy Davis, Jr., his deal with the label fell through. Blinky released two further singles for Motown in the early 1970s (on the company's California-based MoWest subsidiary) and has had several others scheduled for release but never actually released. She is also credited with singing the theme for the 1970s TV series Good Times, along with Jim Gilstrap. His version of "God Bless The Child" appears on the album Rock Gospel: The Key To The Kingdom and her recording of "'Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness if I Do" is on the soundtrack of Lady Sings The Blues, the Billie Holiday bio-pic starring Diana Ross. Unfortunately, most of her solo work, save for a few singles, remained until 2019 unreleased. She can be heard live on the Motortown Revue Live! CD. In addition, she was one of the original Cogic Singers, with Andraé Crouch, Sandra Crouch, Billy Preston, Edna Wright (lead singer of The Honey Cone), Frankie Karl, and Gloria Jones. Following her non-success with Motown, she returned to gospel music and resumed her given name. On October 31, 2009, Sondra appeared as a backup singer, along with Sharon Jones, performing The Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main Street" as part of the rock band Phish's musical costume at their Festival 8, which was held at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California from October 30, 2009 through November 1, 2009. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Mammoth Gavioli Fair Organ | The "Mammoth" Gavioli 112-keyless Fair Organ (conv. to 98-key ca.1917–18), GV26, also known as "White Bros." Gavioli was built in 1903 by the renowned French manufacturer Gavioli et Cie — the eighth of nine models supplied by the firm to England in the early 20th century, and, reportedly, the largest-ever built by Gavioli. It was ordered by a Welsh fairground proprietor Sydney White from Cardiff. The manufacturing date was given in "A Century of Tobers" (Vol 1, No. 2, January 1978) newsletter by The Fairground Association of Great Britain (FAGB). However, the organ is typically described as the "1909 model," referring to the purchase date in the UK; the newly acquired "Mammoth" was freighted by the railroad in December 1908 from London to Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, where it debuted for the Christmas season at the Iron Bridge Merthyr showground. The mechanical organs became popular among British fairground proprietors in the mid-19th century (for the sake of convenience, at first, as it was a versatile "all-in-one" device to cover musical needs for any fair or traveling show). Around 1901, as the groundbreaking Electric Bioscope Cinematograph Moving Picture Show first came to England, the competition instantly became fierce, with the leading showrunners striving to capture the audience's attention with the largest, brightest, and loudest possible presentation of the licensed spectacle: Alfred Ball with "Lyceum Theatre of Pictures and Variety," James Crighton's "No 2. Bioscope," John Proctor with "Royal Bioscope," Henry Studt's "Coliseum Bioscope," William Haggar's "Electric Coliseum," as well as J. Wingate & Sons, James Dooner, William Murphy, and Mammy Paine, to name a few. Massive, ornate organs with dancing and moving figures both provided the soundtrack for silent film projections and served as the show's eye-catching façade. At the time, Gavioli & Co., officially Société Des Anciens Établissements Gavioli, was the world's leading fairground organ manufacturer. The French company had offices in London and Manchester, happy to fulfill the orders for their exorbitantly expensive, lavishly decorated 110-key and 112-keyless mechanical organs. Sydney White, who launched his "Coliseum Bioscope" show in 1908, scored the largest and finest build. The instrument's subsequent fate was indicative of other "mammoth" Gaviolis in the UK. Rapidly spreading movie theaters soon made traveling cinema spectacles obsolete, and most owners repurposed their massive organs to "Scenic Railways" (one of the most popular fads of the 1910s), roller coasters, steam-powered carousels, and gallopers; some were mounted on wheeled carriages and steam engines. Often, the organs were reduced and converted to a more compact 98-key or 89-key function in the process. Likewise, Sydney White's 112-keyless "Mammoth" was inherited by his sons and reduced to 98-key as it became the centerpiece of the Welsh Dragons Scenic Railway. White Brothers continued to use Mammoth Gavioli across various South Wales fairs until 1930, when it was permanently installed at the Cosy Corner Amusement Park on Barry Island, Glamorgan. The park was closed in 1939, during the Second World War, but was never reopened and, effectively, left abandoned. (Unfortunately, some of the Gavioli organs were lost at this point; unless local enthusiasts and collectors identified and rescued these priceless artifacts, they ended up decaying with the rest of the old equipment at abandoned amusement parks and fairgrounds.) Luckily, the White Bros. Mammoth survived. In 1954, the commission to dismantle Cosy Corner Park went to Jack Reohorn, who happened to be a nephew of the younger White brothers. Thus, he recognized Gavioli's historical significance and purchased the organ, saving it from destruction. Reohorn passed the instrument to George R. Parmley (1914—1989), a British collector and conservator based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, who repaired the organ. In 1956, the fully functional 98-key "Mammoth" made its debut at a local steam engines rally. Over the next two decades, the organ was maintained and managed by the Show Organ Society, regularly appearing at various gatherings of the steam preservation movement, including the 1964 Great Steam Fair in Shottesbrooke, Berkshire. Between 1964 and 1967, a series of critically acclaimed LPs and 7" records featuring the instrument came out on Decca Record Company. In 2000, Jack Reohorn's family sold the instrument to Neil Corner, a member of the Show Organ Society, who kept the historical instrument in the country, maintained and preserved by Norman Smith. After Smith died in January 2013, the instrument was again offered for sale, subsequently acquired in December 2017 by Tom Mayhew in Southampton, Hampshire, UK. | |

| Search | Add | 17 | Folja | Konrad Zduniak | FOLJA is a sonic and visual alter ego of polish artist Konrad Zduniak. Initially FOLJA emerged as an concept audio art project consisting of instrumental music based on sounds downloaded from the internet databases and video works. The title of the debut four-track mini album „Pyramids and Stars and Our Bodies Together” as well as the cover image were chosen randomly, following the popular, facetious online manual. Its physical copies where delivered to the random individuals around the world using the giftastranger.com website or hidden in the unknown locations. Videos documented placing the album copies in public for strangers to find. In 2011 FOLJA’s first full-lenght instrumental album „Pompa Funebris” was released by an independent label Sangoplasmo Records on the cassette tapes. The album was followed by one more instrumental release, a Midnight Symphony single in 2013. Two years later, in early 2015, with the self-released single “Water Can Break the Rocks”, FOLJA presented a new sonic direction, developing a singer-songwriter electronic pop. |

| Search | Add | 16 | Garra Blanca | Garra Blanca (White Claw) is the title given to a barra brava that was created in Chile by the supporters of Santiago based football club Colo-Colo. It is one of the three largest and most important barras bravas in the country, the other beings Universidad de Chile's Los de Abajo (those from below) and Universidad Catolica "Los Cruzados" ("The Cruzaders"). In early 1986 a youth movement gave rise among the various supporters of Colo-Colo imitating the Hooligans. Amid the military regime of Augusto Pinochet, marginalized members of Chilean society decided to unite and form a voice of identity.[1][2] Over the years the group has been associated with widescale violence. Fighting with security personnel, the Chilean national police, and other team barra bravas is a common occurrence. Garra Blanca leaders are reported to have an unofficial relationship with Blanco y Negro, the corporate entity that is in charge of Colo-Colo. The board of directors deny such an alliance and have only stated that the barra brava is recognized for stadium safety reasons. | |

| Search | Add | 16 | J.M. Valle | Jose Valle, Jose Manuel Valle, H/M, The Homeboy Mad, Thee Midas Touch, | Executive Producer, Songwriter, Publisher, Graphic Designer, Promoter, Writer of [l1244578]. J.M. Valle grew up in East Side San Jo (California), just blocks away from historic King and Story Roads. Mr. Valle’s grandfather came to the United States under the Bracero program, a government program that helped fill farmworker labor while a majority of Americans were serving in World War II. Mr. Valle’s parents were both farmworkers who moved to San José in the late 1970’s during the height of San José’s low-rider capital to work on the computer assembly line. While Mr. Valle’s parents were chasing the American Dream, Mr. Valle endured a flawed education system, police harassment and brutality, and everyday survival of the barrio. J.M. Valle founded the Souleros Ball in 2009, which undeniably was the first public event where Rare Oldies (Soul Harmony/Low-rider Oldies) record collectors gathered to spin their prized collection in front of a live audience. The Souleros Ball indirectly embarked on an entire movement and market encompassing Oldies vinyl nights, old school cholo artwork, and contemporary recordings of the Rare Low-rider Oldies sound. Although the Souleros Ball showcased live performances since its inception, the Souleros Ball became a game changer in 2011, after a live performance by Myron and E of Timmion Records (Finland, Europe). This event constructed a bridge between contemporary recording artists and the Raza. At Mr. Valle's request, Myron and E performed a cover of The Exit's "Under the Street Lamp", which later led to a record contract with Stones Throw Records. During the same year, Wax Poetics Magazine released a cover story of the growing Chicano Rare Oldies scene which featured Mr. Valle and his contributions to the movement. In 2015, J.M. Valle wrote and directed the screenplay for the The Jack Moves "Joyride" (Wax Poetics) music video. The music video depicted la Chicanada with cameos of OG Dave (Barrio Brawler), Victor Barrera (Duke of Earl Movie), Roberto Hernandez (SF Lowrider Council), and Big Serg (The Principal). Filmed in San José, San Francisco's Mission District and Oakland, the video is also dedicated to Sonny Madrid, founder of Low Rider Magazine and Teen Angel, both of which had their break in San Jo, and passed during the same year. After trial and error, J.M. Valle formed Thee Baby Cuffs made up of Joe Narvaez, Gilberto Rodriguez and Dave Herrera and began his songwriting and producing career. In 2017, Mr. Valle self released a rendition of Larry Sanders’ “Where Did Peace Go” backed by The M-Tet (Bay Area). Mr. Valle re-worked the lyrics to describe the plight of Raza and re-titled Larry Sanders’ protest song to “Where Did Our Pride Go”. Digital formats and streams were released during anti-presidential inauguration protests nationwide when Trump took the White House. A 45 release followed during the same year on Cinco de Mayo. The following year in 2018, Mr. Valle wrote a song titled, “My My My Baby” about his early relationship with his wife, getting married and having a family, yet challenged by family members who naturally wanted to shield their baby girl. “My My My Baby” was recorded as a demo which never came to surface at Chris Lujan's (Lugnut Brand Records) studio bedroom. Cold Diamond and Mink (Stylart, a subsidiary of Timmion Records) cut an uptempo version which gave both Mr. Valle's songwriting and his group, Thee Baby Cuffs an international platform. In 2019, J.M. Valle released a reissue of Suenos “Baby I Love You” with the Spanish version as the B-Side for the first time on 45. J.M. Valle previously reached out to band leader Frank Lizarraga to perform at the Souleros Ball in 2013 in the band’s hometown in Sacramento, Ca.. Suenos “Baby I Love You” was originally pressed in 1982 as a single on San Jose’s Luna Records with a Spanish version released on their album the following year. The Spanish version never cut as a single and the sought after English version never made an album release making this reissue unique. Aside from Mr. Valle’s music career, he also wrote for Street Low Magazine making two cover stories, one of which being R&B Bay Area artist, Davina. Mr. Valle also broke the Souleros Ball in an article he wrote in Street Low Magazine which had Benjamin Bratt starring in the La Mission movie as its cover story. Mr. Valle also wrote for Teen Angel Magazine including its cover story of tattoo artists Pistolero Viejo which was also the last issue to print. J.M. Valle has also curated various art shows featuring art from prison and local artists. Lastly J.M. is known for his work in the community including prison reform, prisoner’s human rights, working with youth, historic preservation and mural advocacy. |

| Search | Add | 16 | Dean G Smith | Dean G. Smith aka Deangersmith (born 11 February 1969) is a South African–born musician and vocalist based in London, UK. His primary instrument is guitar and vocals although he began his career in Johannesburg, South Africa as a drummer and vocalist in the thrash metal band Ragnärok. He is the founding member of several South African and UK heavy metal bands from mid 80's to present day, including Ragnärok, Odyssey, 2 Dogs Funking, Brothering, PijinFist, Mouthful of Flies and Philistine. He appeared as guest vocals for The Blast and played rhythm guitar for the female fronted rock band Balance. He was the creator, producer and host of the radio show, The Metal and Hard Rock from Africa Show for Diligaf Radio. Inspired by AC/DC and Metallica in his teens, Dean founded the thrash metal band Ragnärok as drummer and vocalist in 1986. They were considered the initiators of Thrash Metal in South Africa ahead of the burgeoning metal and hard rock scene in-spite of the political climate. The band unofficially released one demo album in 1989, Troops of Thunder. During this time Dean was also guest vocals on The Blast’s 1988 self released two track 7" as lead vocalist on Little Sister and backing on Not Quite The Same Thing, recorded at Universal Studios. Their demo album was re-released as a CDR in 2018 due to new demand from fans in Europe. From 1991 onwards Dean played guitar in the band Odyssey, was lead vocalist and rhythm guitar in the band 2 Dogs Funking, founded Brothering as lead vocals and guitar in 1997, winning the Battle of the Bands. He toured extensively around Southern Africa with these bands. Projects during that time include Pijinfist and the female fronted rock band, Balance. In the UK in 2004, Dean founded Mouthful of Flies as guitarist and backing vocalist with Dan Stevenson from Fallout and Bloodstone as lead vocals and guitars. The band released Ten Negative Sixes in 2007. The album received excellent reviews by Malcolm Dome in Metal Hammer, Kerrang and all major Metal magazines, and they played numerous London venues throughout 2008 and 2009. From 2013 to 2014 Dean produced and hosted The Metal and Hard Rock from Africa Show for Diligaff Radio as a way to showcase African metal and hard rock to a wider audience. In his own words, "African bands generally have a huge struggle with regards to internet access and bandwidth issues and publicity, my aim was to get them on Radio and expose them to a wider audience, Dilligaf has an extensive fan base and provided the perfect platform to expose these bands to listeners from all over the world.” From 2010 onwards Dean has released solo albums under the name Deangersmith. Deangersmith’s latest album, Lead Us To Your Taker (Disable The Corrupt) contains ten songs released over 2020 and 2021, with the complete album available worldwide on all platforms on 25th September 2021. Originally inspired by the political climate in the world, much of his song writing on this album is driven by themes of Equality and somewhat influenced by the current Pandemic. | |
