Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 L'Ordre De L'Infiniment Nada L'Ordre de l'Infiniment Nada Founded in 2015 in Montreal, L’Ordre de l’Infiniment Nada (Nada) is dedicated to creating spontaneous, contemplative and psychedelic music based on profound listening and group improvisation. Using mainly synthesizers to create constantly evolving sound, each Nada performance fluctuates between drone and pure waves evoking altered states of consciousness, daydreaming, sonic meditation and cosmic kitsch. The members of this ever-changing collective prefer to stay anonymous and meet at non-fixed intervals of time, indetermination being at the heart of their approach.

Search Add 2 Mary Asquith Mary Asquith was known as the ‘Queen of blues and folk’ in the Manchester area during the seventies and eighties. Her only album was released on Saffron Summerfield's Mother Earth Records in 1978. BBC Radio 2's host Mike Harding was among the ones that covered the title-track of her 1978 album Closing Time, and named her 'one of the best: a great guitarist and a fine blues singer whose voice, tuned by the roll-ups and whisky she had a taste for then, was edgy but tuneful and more importantly - truthful.'

Search Add 2 Mark Laflin Mark has been interested in the Theatre Organ from an early age. After classical organ studies as a teenager, Mark was educated at the Royal College of Music and the University of Oxford where he was organ scholar at Keble College. He studied with several well-known organists along the way and continues to perform and enjoy the classical organ repertoire. After a gap of several years, Mark reacquainted himself with the theatre pipe organ and he has a busy concert schedule. Since then he has recorded two albums featuring the Tywyn Wurlitzer and the Clayhall Compton, both of which are closely associated with the society. His music has been played on the BBC and on several podcasts online – notably Hotpipes and The Organist Encores. On the latter Mark has recently become the shows resident organist and has been featured several times with specially recorded music.

Search Add 2 Bayram Krueger Bayram Krueger Bayram Krueger, since his birth in 1976 West Berlin (Kreuzberg), Germany, has always been drawn to making music. As a student during the late-80's and early-90's he played drums in the school band. After a hard day of studying and skateboarding he would head to the rehearsal space to pound the skins with friends in a punk-rock band. At this time, he would have never expected the new passions that waited for him just over the horizon... Fast-forward to 1994, which marked his first "Love Parade" attendance, and the development of an addiction to house music in all facets of the genre. A few years of clubbing and dancefloor education ensued. Then, in 1999 he started a job at the Rave Age Recordstore in Berlin, insighting yet another need: to find and collect vinyl. Next came a year of exploring electronic music styles before taking to the tables, performing for the first time as a DJ. He started and ran a weekly electronic night at the bar Ad Libitum (from the Latin for "pleasure") with DJ Emanuell Eisbrenner and in 2000 he began to work for now defunctional EMD (Electronic Music Distribution) as head of distribution, with much success. Between 2000 and 2003 he played in Berlin, in clubs like: Acud, Deli, Sternradio, XS-Club, Kit-Kat Club, Rotor, Cassiopaia, and more. The next three years saw little in the form of music for the budding DJ, but he was unable to stay away for long. In 2006, a new interest in minimal led to the start of producing his own tracks. Since 2010 he has been publishing tracks on his Soundcloud page. Creating an electronic sound that mirrors the world around him, Bayram's music breathes the city of Berlin. A city that has been influenced uniquely by the two dominant world cultures in modern society. Like the popular names that came before him; Kraftwerk, honing the tones of Dussledorf, Ritchie Hawtin fine-tuning the Detroit Techno sound, or even the classical sequencing of American composers Steve Reich and Terry Riley, who paved the way for the American and German Minimal Club sounds, Bayram Krueger is of the past, and the present, but most importantly the future. Will humanity ever enter the far reaches of space? Can we come together as one? Bayram Krueger's music lets us know surely, yes, we will, if we haven't already. All you need to do is listen with your whole being, and you will believe anything is possible.

Search Add 2 roskiewicz orchestra roskiewicz orchestra is an audio art creation institution. All technical possibilities are used to create special music and audio result. We produce music for meditation, yoga, relaxation and binaural beats. We also produce concept albums with electronic music as well as experimental and danceable music. Numerous productions have been created under various project names in the last almost 30 years. The musical spectrum ranges across almost all genres. In order to implement various productions, three completely independent studio concepts have been set up in recent years, which enable the working methods of the last 60 years. There is an analogue studio in which the 60s and 70s are shown. Another working environment is for the 80's and 90's where digital synths and MIDI played a big role. The third concept is dedicated to the 2000s and is designed for purely virtual working methods. The whole orchestra in the laptop.

Search Add 2 Blue Grass Roy Edward Leroy Freeman Blue Grass Roy was born about 1901 on a farm in Christian County, not far distant from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Just a kid, he began to sing, gradually learning the old mountain ballads and folk songs of his home and surrounding area. He was a regular feature of WFIW for a year, being employed by the station to advertise Hamlin's Wizard Oil. The famous product and the famous singer went so well together, that the management of the Hamlin Wizard Oil Co. employed Blue Grass Roy permanently, to advertise their product. Blue Grass Roy stayed at WFIW for four years before moving on to KRLD in Dallas, Texas in 1933. He went to WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia in February 1935. He then went to WTIC in Hartford, Connecticut around February 1936 as he continued to gain fans all across the country and reportedly even in New Zealand where he was heard regularly. He was a pioneer singer of early morning and late night broadcasts over WWVA, from 1934 to 1935. However, he only appeared once on the Jamboree in a farewell appearance. The reason is that he didn't memorize his songs and he felt that a music stand would look a bit out of place on the stage of the WWVA Jamboree.
