Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Rhalef | Raffaele Fontanella | House / Techno DJ producer based in Napoli, Italy Raffaele Fontanella aka Rhalef, was born in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) on 05/06/1986. His passion for music started at the age of 10, when he listened to his first remixed dance Cds. With the time and thanks to a group of friends closer to House music, his musical influences changed. Later in his life his musical evolution led him to the world of electronic music and then to techno. The latter was the crucial moment in his musical career; at the age of 20 he was fascinated by this music and his environment. When he was 24 he started travelling to most European Capitals and fell in love with the different clubs he went to during his trips. He soon realized that techno music was something really special to him which he never left, even when he was interested in Pop and Rock music. Music has always been part of his life, something he couldn‘t live without, at home, driving his car, while walking around the city, in bed, with his headphones on, and this is how he understood its sounds. With the time and experience he acquired following the world of techno music he felt these were the sounds that were close to him, that’s when he decided to start his own music production. He was obsessed, in his free time he listened and bought all the latest tracks to make his own mixes which he played for his friends and family. After spending many years following music in clubs and in his everyday life, he felt that it was time to start his own music production. That’s when he bought a producer equipment and created 2 tracks. His first EP “Never Too Late” was released in June 2014. When his dream came true, he was so enthusiastic that dedicated more time to music ( this time his own ). This is when started his career as producer which he continues today, producing new sounds. His musical influences: Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, Roberto Capuano, Luigi Madonna, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Alex Di Stefano, Joseph Capriati and many others… Contact: rhalef.official@gmail.com |

Search | Add | 2 | Trinidad Maestros Steel Orchestra | Maestros steelband was severed in 1964 when Steve Lalsingh, its leader was killed in a vehicular accident on the San Fernando Bypass. Other members of the band were seriously injured. The death of Mr. Lalsingh resulted in the almost abrupt end to Maestros as the pan yard was at Mr. Lalsingh’s home. A combination of no place to practice and death of the leader spelt the death knell of Trinidad Maestros. S.Lalsingh & T'dad

Search | Add | 2 | Ghost Note Project | Thessaloniki, Greece Asklipios Zambetas (guitar), Christos Tsaprazis (bass) and Giorgos Tolios (drums) came together in 2009, forming the core of a new group and experimenting with instrumental musical forms. The members of the group Trypes (Zambetas and Tolios) and Xylina Spathia (Tsaprazis) were soon developing a style that blended rock, funk and psychedelic, sometimes treading a fine line between jazz and ethnic. As their musical ideas matured, the first recording sessions were held at Rough Studios in Thessaloniki, where the three musicians were joined by a large number of friends and colleagues, each leaving his personal stamp on the final result: Evgenia Patika (piano, keyboards), Mihalis Vrettas (violin), Chrysanthos Christodoulou (synths, electronics), Stefanos Lazarinos (sax), Giorgos Avramidis (trumpet), Yiannis Marinos (trombone), Georgia Dagaki (Cretan lyre), Elias Aifantis (keyboards), Nikos Magnisalis (flute and percussion) and Izabela Zambeta (vocals). As the recording sessions proceeded, the group began to assume its final form, being joined by new members Kostas Papachristos (trumpet, piano), a member of Skaribas, and Christos Trypsiani (synths, electronics). The recording and mix in the studio, was made under the supervision of producer Christos Megas.

Search | Add | 2 | Surfoniani | Surf trio from Turin Italy. Reverb out of limits, wild bikini, tiki possessed and dirty rock 'n' roll! The Surfoniani are a surf music trio, devoted to the most reverberated sonorities of the Sixties. They came from Turin (Italy): Giamba on the guitar, Fra on the upright bass and Tony on the drums. They were born in 2005 from the former punk rock band Funny Extasy that animated the night in Turin in the past years. In 2008 Matteo replaced Hermann and The Surfoniani played at the “Surfer Joe Summer Festival” and again in 2010, when they also opened the Los Straitjackets concert in Alessandria. The autumn of the same year, Herman came back and with him on the drums they played once again at the “Surfer Joe” fest opening the concert for another great band: Tito & Tarantula. At the beginning of 2014 Tony, bass player in the bands Ponches and Kelvins, two great bands of the Turin punk rock scene, took his place on the drums. With him, the number of live concerts increased and they consolidated their musical richness, distinguished by the drums and double bass strong rhythm section where Giamba's wild guitar find its perfect place. The Surfoniani also have an acoustic project called “Street Version” that gives them the chance to play in any situation using portable amplifiers and a minimal drums with great sound results that recall the Polynesian atmosphere. Besides participating in the already mentioned events, The Surfoniani played in many concerts in Piedmont, Lombardy and Liguria. At the end of 2015, the band walked into the studio and recorded the tracks for their debut album.

Founded by Chuck Camp and his wife Mae, the members of the group varied over time but for many years consisted of the Camps and their children Bill, James, Mary and Catherine (Catey) Camp. Chuck and Mae retired in 1990 and their son Bill took over the operation until the facility closed in 2003. Like most chuckwagon operations, the "Wranglers" performed a live stage show which was recorded and sold as LPs, 8-Track Tapes, Cassettes and CDs to their customers. Sometimes the groups would also record studio sessions, but it's presently unknown of the Triple C Wranglers released any studio recordings.

Search | Add | 2 | Thomas Ueber | Thomas Ueber | Thomas was born in Germany where he lives and works. Music has been with him all his life. He recorded radio broadcasts in childhood and later there were various DJ appearances, mainly at private events of friends or colleagues. Later then, all this turned into a serious interest for computer music production. First contact in Propellerhead Reason demo and in Ableton Live 8 Suite but today the center of every of each of his productions is Steinberg Cubase Pro and sometimes Bitwig. Digital as well as analogue components provide the drive in the home studio. With a little focus more in the digital area he makes use of modular softsynths or a Reaktor ensemple as well as an emulation of a Roland synth, drum samples and orchestral Kontakt instruments. All shouldn´t be missing there. His genre is electronic music. The style ranges from acid to idm, electro and techno or deep house with a touch of Balearic vibes. However, the musical influences come from all directions from blues, rock, country or sometimes jazzy and pop. |

Search | Add | 2 | Gipsy Khamoro | Khamoro (translated as "Sunshine") Originally a Romani folklore ensemble of dances and songs. Founded by conductor and artistic director Helena Demeterová (born in eastern Slovakia). The Demeter family was supplemented in the ensemble by musicians and dancers mainly from the extended family. The ensemble was founded in the 1980s. Some of its members starred in the 1986 film "Kdo se bojí, utíká" by director Dušan Klein. The group performed at the 1st Czechoslovak RomFest in Brno in 1990. Several studio films were also made in the Czechoslovakia. The basis of the ensemble was Helena Demeter and her 4 sons Jiří, Pavel, Jan and Robert Demeter. At the beginning of the 1990s the ensemble transformed into a Rom-pop group of the same name (without Helena Demeterová). The leading personalities of the group became Jiří and Pavel Demeter. The group's permanent stage and home was the eponymous Prague and Žižkov Roma music club and restaurant Khamoro, founded by Jan Demeter. In May 1993, the group also performed at the Concert Against Racism at Chmelnice in Prague. At the same time, they made a significant contribution to the song "Žehnej Bůh" (inspired by "We Are the World"). Members: Jiří Demeter - composer, lyricist, singer, guitar and harmonica player (30.4.1963 Prague - 21.9.2023) Robert Demeter - choreographer, singer, guitar, mandolin, violin player (30.1.1966 Prague - 5.5.2021 Auckland, New Zealand) Jan Demeter - singer, guitar and bass player (1968 Prague) Pavel Demeter - composer, lyricist, singer, guitar and keyboard player (1972 Prague) Monika Demeterová and others The group has performed and recorded (among others on ČT - Česká televize and ČRo - Český rozhlas) with many guests (e.g. Jan "Sivák" Omáčka, Judr. Emil Ščkua, Emil "Miška" Gadžor, Zdeněk Lázok, Pavel Gondlolán, and others). In the second half of the 1990s, the Demeter family emigrated to Australia and New Zealand, where they undertook several music and dance tours. In 1999, the Khamoro festival was founded in Prague, named after the group.

Search | Add | 2 | Gilt The Lily | Gilt the: lily defined :: Beneath the pain, the sadness, and all the layers of armor that we carry everyday, rests the lily. It may be the one thing in life that we try so hard to keep alive, but keep hidden from everyone else, or it may survive to hold our dreams and our deepest fears. What is your lily? What is your prize? What holds your blame? The music is an answer to the seemingly unchanging reality of life, love, and hate. Pollinate; spread the word. Plant the seed; watch it grow. Formed from humble beginnings, in the shadow of a growing central New England city, the breakthrough rock quintet Gilt The Lily is peeling back the layers of human nature. Through emotional lyrics, floating and inflicting guitars, technically infused drumming, and solid bass lines they feed the release of a sound that must be heard. In the summer of 2002 the group entered the studio to record their debut album. An extensive recording process ensued as the band produced and financed the album on their own. Overcoming set backs and economic hardship, the band prevailed with an album which serves as a testament of their unwavering dedication to their music. Easily shifting from lulling, somber compositions, to relentless and uncompromising aural assaults, Gilt the Lily is generating music for the masses. Feeding on crowds of all sizes with their energetic stage presence, the five members’ diverse styles embody a sound that is unmistakably their own. Inherent to all life is the music that moves us. - giltthelily.com
