Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

His workshops and retreats seek to show that God is faithful and that the Eucharist is deeply connected to our daily life. Robert is currently working full-time as a speaker, retreat leader and evangelist. He lives with his wife and four children in the Nashville, Tennessee, area.

Search Add 2 Pumpkin Head Ted Pumpkin Head Ted is a mostly acoustic 5-piece ensemble that defies category. Pumpkin Head Ted brings together an eclectic mix of textures and rhythms that draws on blues, jazz, country, rock, Afro-Latin, among others, without being bound by these traditions. Pumpkin Head Ted has frequented many haunts and dives along the south coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island for many years. Pumpkin Head Ted has performed with many great artists over the years, including local jazz greats Jim Robitaille and Rick Britto. Pumpkin Head Ted has also backed up the great singer-song writer J.P. Jones. But some of their most exciting and memorable collaborations came with Celtic music great Johnny Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham, who has performed with a myriad of great musicians: from the Pogues to Phillip Glass and has been a guest many times on Prairie Home Companion, stated in an interview that his performances with Pumpkin Head Ted were among his very favorite!

Search Add 2 Hardcore Tamburo Hardcore Tamburo is a collective of drummers and percussionists who performs on the basis of minimal electronic music. The instrument that every musician has is a simple metal bin. The tribality of the resulting music, which sometimes chases the song form, is as archaic as it is futuristic, post-atomic and artisanal. For this reason the sound of the Hardcore Tamburo can be defined as "industrial primitive". The number of components of the project varies according to the situation, so it is modular. In Hardcore Tamburo some well-known drummers play in the Italian independent music scene. However, their faces and their names are not known, each component has an identification number and it is with that number that everyone is recognized. The project is born from the ashes of post-punk and new wave, but also looks at the actuality of a certain type of electronic alienation.

Search Add 2 Practical Senses Practical Senses band formed in 2009 in Ukraine. Encompasses various genres such as coldwave, electro, post-punk, synth-pop The history of the band dates back to 2009, when Yuriy Baygush (at that time a member of the band Soundform) became acquainted with another musician — Olexandr Mylnikov. The main topics of their interest were keyboards and musician equipment. At the beginning of 2009 they created the first demo-record “Harpsichord and noise of the Marine Waves”, using chiefly vintage analog synthesizers and drum-machines. Musical cooperation was maintained through the internet and rare joint rehersals, as the musicians were separated from each other by the distance of 450 kilometers. At the same time, Practical Senses and the band Soundform recordered together cover-version of the songs “Corridor of Choristers”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian band “Scriabin”, and “Cold Solitude”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the band “Mournful Gust”) Both songs were released on the official music albums (collections) of the mentioned bands. The group Practical Senses also wrote background music for a game “”Drug the candy” (Apple iOS game) The first concert, for which session musicians were also involved, took place in 2010 and the first band’s album was released in 2011. In 2014 an independent German label “Aldi-punk” became interested in the band and released it’s second album «Songs cycle about the decisive king» with a limited edition of cassetes. The album consisted of songs in English and Ukrainian and was sold and distributed mainly in the countries through Europe. After this, due to the recording of a new album and restructuring of the band “Practical Senses” worked temporarily only in the studio. In 2017 Practical Senses released a new album which was it’s third and entirely Ukrainian-language album. The lyrics of the songs were poems of Ukrainian writers including I. Franko, O. Bilash, M. Vingranovsky and others. Search Add 2 Eyes Turned Skyward Full electronic three-man project from Munich/Germany founded in 2010 by the members: Armin Dörfler (aka AD) Markus Lindwurm (aka Cygnotic) Matthias Köhler (aka Sal Ban) Characterized by 100% live and adhoc sessions, unplanned, unaltered, without pre-designed schemes or structures. Every live session is unique and not to repeat that way. Most Sessions extend to very long tracks. So e.g. the first release 'Border worlds' still represents the longest single release with 92 minutes. Subsequent to the recorded live session the releases are enriched with track names, artwork and sometimes a story line (e.g. 'Cosmodrome'). Eyes Turned Skyward represents a holistic musical flow "The whole is more than the sum of its parts.
