Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 10 | Rudy Rosa | Rudy Rosa | Abridged from Mr. Rosa's website: Rudy was 5 years old when his father Leo began teaching him the Accordion. When he was 7, he began playing with Leo's Polka band, soon becoming a Virtuoso. At 12 he developed an interest in Ham Radio -- the beginning of his Electronics education. At 15 he taught himself to play the organ, transposing what he knew from the Accordion -- with the help and inspiration of Lenny Dee records. At 17 he went directly to St Petersburg Florida, where Lenny Dee was performing at the Desert Ranch Beach Resort. The rest, as they say, is history. |

| Search | Add | 10 | Marlena Crystal | Born in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Marlena Crystal soon developed a big love for the 80s and, at the age of 14, began to write and produce music herself. With her interest in how the sounds she loves were created, she started to build up her own homestudio. Marlena found herself in a wild mix of AOR (adult-orientated rock), Hi-NRG and New German Wave. For that, she does not only rely on digital means, but also uses original analogue equipment, which is crucial to her authentic vintage sound. For the label [l=Last Forever Music] and the music publisher Nightline Publishing, Marlena works under the name of her own edition called Crystal Line Music. Besides ghostwriting songs for other musicians, she also released her German debut single ‚Das Schwarz in meinem Licht‘ in 2021, followed by ‚Heut bin ich so stark‘. In 2022 she released the Hi-NRG hit [r=22301059], which became the start of her international success. Her style was heavily influenced by artists such as [a=Stevie Nicks], [a=Pat Benatar] and the German Pop duo [a=Cora]. [a=Bobby Orlando] also counts to her favourite music producers and inspirations. | |

| Search | Add | 10 | Alfredo's New Princes Orchestra | Group formed by [a=Alfred Gill]. See also: [a=Alfredo's Band] and [a=Alfredo And His Band]. In 1925, Alfredo formed a band of his own, to play at the New Princes restaurant. This band included sax player and vocalist [a=Bert Brown (2)], who had also been a member of [a=Jack Hylton And His Orchestra] with Alfredo. The other members of the band included [a=Arthur Wilson (5)] (trumpet), [a=Laurie Day (2)] (piano) and [a=Charles E. Harris] (drums). The band played at the New Princes for about 2 years. During the latter part of 1926, Alfredo re-organized the band and it now contained a fairly stable personnel right up until he disbanded in 1930. He recorded for [l=Edison Bell Limited] from 1925 until 1930 and after the 1926 reshuffle, the band maintains the same distinctive sound right through. It was not a large band (generally a nine-piece) but they made some fine records for [l=Edison Bell Winner], [l=Winner (2)], [l=Edison Bell Electron] and [l=Edison Bell Radio], some of which feature fine hot solos by trumpeter [a=Alfie Noakes] (father of television's [a=John Noakes], of "Blue Peter" fame). Some records have extra musicians added. The Rust/Forbes discography gives a bewildering mixture of differing personnel for the band, the records were made by the 'main' personnel of: [a=Alfie Noakes] (t), [a=Richard MacDonald] (tb), [a=Claude Cavalotti] (as),/ [a=Bert Brown (2)] (ts), [a=Alfred Gill] (vn), [a=Frank Walsh (4)] (p), [a=Steve Gauna]) (bj, g), [a=Tom Eggerton] (bb), and [a=Charles E. Harris] (d). ([a=Les Allen], [a=Mark Sheridan (4)] & [a=Ron Garrison] replace Brown, Gauna & Eggerton during 1927/28). The other personnel given in the discographies refer to the many other bands which Alfredo organized during this time, such as the band he put into the Park Lane Hotel in 1927 which was directed by Wilbur Blinco (this is not Jay Wilbur, despite the comment in Rust/Forbes). According to his letterhead (in an advert in 1928), he is described as "director of dance orchestras" and lists his engagements as: New Princes restaurant, Grafton Galleries club, Moss Empire theatres, Stoll theatres. When Les Allen joined the band in 1927, it is noticeable that, along with Allen, [a=Hal Swain] also contributes some vocal choruses to the band's records. Swain had his own band to run (also at the "New Princes"), so it unlikely that he was a member of Alfredo's band, he was probably present just for the recordings; he may also play saxophone on the records. Worth mentioning here is the fact that Swain, Allen, Frank Walsh & Ron Garrison had all been members of Swain's New Princes Toronto Band in 1925. In 1931, Alfredo changed his style of music, forming a gypsy band (mainly of genuine Romanies, initially). He made a few records for HMV under the sober name of "Alfredo and his Orchestra". His right-hand man, [a=Claude Cavalotti] was a member of the gypsy band too. | |

Musicians known before from other Polish projects got together to blend electronic sounds with live instruments that resulted in a pretty innovative instrumental album called „Binary Beats” released March 21st 2014. | Search | Add | 10 | The Original Gospel Chimes | The Gospel Chimes started singing in the late 1950s, and their home base was Chicago, Illinois. Just who formed the group is a mystery, some sources claim James Cleveland, and others say Jessy Dixon. Both men were just starting to rise in the field of gospel, spreading their talents among the group as well as choirs. James and Jessy were a perfect match, they sang alike, both phrased in a modern quasi-pop manner on ballads. They were both composers' and wrote and arranged a number of the songs the group did. The harmonies they arranged for the Chimes mediated between 1950s gospel groups and the evolving choir sounds. The Chimes released four albums on the HOB label, before moving to the Savoy label, and in later years recorded on the Atlantic label. Some of the groups sessions also included Billy Preston and Alfred Bolden (Voices Of Tabernacle) on the organ. As with most gospel groups the personnel was always changing, the Gospel Chimes have included James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood, Jessy Dixon, and Imogene Green (of the Davis Sisters and Caravans fame.) Two of the long stay members were Lee Charles Neeley and Claude O. Timmons. After his tenure with the Gospel Chimes, Lee Charles Neeley ventured into to the secular side of the music. His career lasted a few years and spawned a few minor hits for him during the late 60's and early 70s. | |
