Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Members: Francisco D'Uva Gerónimo Godas Rodrigo Godas

Search | Add | 10 | Feenix13 | Feenix 13 was one of the founder members of Spiral Tribe. She was a lynchpin of the sound system’s event organisation and played a vital role in the design and décor. Responsible for many of the later flyers and heavily involved in the conception of the event spaces, she helped define the ‘look’ of the sound system. When the Spirals travelled to Europe it was Feenix 13 who coined the word ‘Teknival’. A word which would become synonymous with the new underground movement. At the end of the 1990’s, she fulfilled a similar role in the Sound Conspiracy sound system and embraced video as a design tool. Since 2000 she has been the resident designer for the Audiotrix record label and has more recently been specializing in computer based digital imagery and animation, which she incorporates into her live VJ mixes. Today, Feenix 13 is SP23’s VJ and central to the graphic design team. Her digital remixes of archetypal imagery and mutation of symbolic themes has given SP23 its own, mysterious, visual atmosphere.

Search | Add | 10 | The Amplified Version | This early Jesus movement band is remembered for its album Whatcha Gonna Do? which revealed their indebtedness to producer Gary S.Paxton. Their sound was distinctive in its use of brass (seven horns), recalling such early-’70s outfits as Chicago or Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Two Paxton songs received a lot of attention: "Jesus Is My Lawyer in Heaven" and "Jesus Keeps Takin' Me Higher and Higher." These and the title song constitute the album's high-energy numbers. Another Paxton song, "The Gadget Man," is noteworthy for its complex and original structure. (keyboard), Bruce Hibbard (vocals, guitar), Jorge Marsal (percussion), and Shirley [Monroe] Marsal (vocals) were also members of the group at some point.

Is it possible to incorporate influences like Jon Hopkins and Moderat on one hand with Mats Gustafsson's sax and live hypnotic The Knife-wise beats on the other? Seems that it is. Musicians known before from other Polish projects got together to blend electronic sounds with live instruments that resulted in a pretty innovative instrumental album called „Binary Beats” released March 21st 2014. Their music is full of deep bass, vibrating with beat but not deprived of a human factor.... it's live and close, cool and very organic in the same time, electro-improvised.

Search | Add | 10 | Eddie Wray | Eddie Wray | Eddie Wray needs no introduction. Most famous as the Northern Irish dance music scene’s most prominent figure and founder of renown music festival Planet Love, Eddie Wray’s contribution to the music scene in Northern Ireland reaches as far and wide as his worldwide music contacts! By launching some of the Northern Ireland's most successful clubbing ventures he has been fundamental in forming and sustaining the current NI scene’s dance music infrastructure. From hosting a popular radio show on Citybeat back in the early 90s, to launching award winning dance magazine BBm, to developing the dance music awards, to founding the festival Planetlove and right through to opening clubs and clubnights across NI and developing the brands Planetlove and Rendezvous. From the early days under the guise of Eddie Wray Entertainment, he was the first person in Northern Ireland to bring over bands like Ultra Sonic, QFX and Dream Frequency among countless others, initiating a ‘band-scene’ here. The happy hardcore scene then developed and thrived as a result - particularly Exit 15 and Kilwaughter House in Larne which Eddie promoted. In 1995 he launched the landmark Bassline Magazine which became BBm in 1998 and was awarded many accolades including Magazine of the Year in the prestigious IPR/BT Media and Journalism awards. It was also his company, around the same time, that launched and ran respected the Northern Irish Dance Music Awards which ran alongside BBm Magazine for eight years. 1998 was indeed a spectacular year, also heralding by far his biggest achievement – the first ever Planetlove festival was born setting a precedent for outdoor festival licences across Ireland. The event – now in its 10th year – is ever-expanding and has hosted most of the world dance scene’s biggest players including Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Mauro Picotto… the list goes on into the hundreds taking in many dance acts including Faithless. The 2006 festival in association with BBC Radio 1 has been hailed the biggest and best yet, breaking all records. In 2004 he brought Irish clubbers Club Matrix in Dungannon which hosted a spectacular cross-section of world renowned DJs and genres over its 18 month licence span. DJs from Paul Van Dyk to Jeff Mills and Pete Tong to Smokin Jo and Pablo Gargano! 2006 was a significant year of expansion for Eddie’s main ventures. His monthly night in Clubland, Cookstown, is currently the North’s most successfully consistent night while the Planetlove brand has enjoyed considerable success with the launch of the Winter and Spring indoor parties at Belfast’s King’s Hall, followed by the phenomenal success of the festival in September. The knowledge, acumen and appreciation for music required to make these ventures work is borne from one key source though - his DJing. Countless gigs in countless clubs have seen Eddie Wray hone a unique talent for that simple – but often elusive – task: filling a dancefloor, and then rocking it! Eddie Wray – the DJ – has a wide and loyal following of fans who probably know the contents of his record box as well as he does! Nowadays you can catch him regularly at The Coach, Banbridge and Clubland, Cookstown. It’s tough work condensing the work of Eddie Wray so far – a name which has probably become something of a household brand in Northern Ireland. All his efforts and his ventures are fired up by passion and sustained by determination and a simple love of music. And his DJing is the oxygen that fuels it all. |

William Hatch ran a print shop in Prescott, Wisconsin, where his two sons, Charles and Herbert, grew up learning the craft of letterpress printing. In 1875, William Hatch moved his family to Nashville where, four years later, Charles and Herbert founded CR and HH Hatch. Hatch creates uniquely designed posters for events. These limited edition Hatch prints sell out quickly and rarely are reproduced, making them instant collector’s items. Each print is a work of art created using the same letterpress technique today as the Hatch brothers used back in 1879. The hand-carved blocks that form Hatch posters are laid out in reverse on plates, inked and run through antique letterpress machines by hand. 224 5th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37203

Search | Add | 10 | S.K. Grundy | Shirley K. Grundy | S.K. Grundy He directed the orchestra of a Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri. He wrote lots of barbershop arrangements, many of which were considered daring, audacious, and unstylistic. They contained many unusual twists. One of Grundy's masterpieces was "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square," which he arranged for the Confederates, and revived some twenty-five years later by the Vocal Majority. In hindsight, many feel that Grundy was ahead of his time. Those who heard his work didn't understand it and Grundy was written off as a "wild man." But he was a superb musician, and in the sixties he went to California to do vocal and instrumental arrangements for Lawrence Welk. Many of us recall quartets appearing on the show, usually featuring bass Larry Hooper and tenor Joe Feeney singing songs undoubtedly arranged by S. K. It seems that alcoholism cost him his job with Welk, at which time he returned to Springfield, where he continued to deteriorate from alcoholism until his death. Unfortunately it is hard to find original Grundy arrangments because Grundy would write out 2/3 of an arrangement on a bar napkin, bring it to quartet rehearsal, teach it by rote, and finish (and further refine!) the arrangement on the fly. This done, he felt no particular need to bother writing the entire arrangement down. |
Search | Add | 10 | Júnior Cordeiro | José Valni Cordeiro Lima Júnior | "THE ARTIST Combining Baião with Heavy Rock, that is the key alchemy of Júnior Cordeiro's music -- poet, singer and composer. This junction of genres (in this case, the junction of ideologies, since the two segments transcend the pure concept of “styles” and reach the idea of musical cultures) is nothing new in the Brazilian scene, what is new is the way in which this paraibano achieves this dialogue so naturally. O Bruxo do Cariri Velho, as he became known in the music industry, travels through virtually all segments of northeastern music, from toada to baião, as well as various segments of good old Rock'n'Roll, from Progressive/Psychedelic to blues and Heavy Metal, establishing a strong musical accent, which the artist himself conceptualizes as Rock-Baião. His poetics, while denouncing strong influences from northeastern cordelistas and repentistas, bear subtle traits from the most diverse literary poets. With fifteen years of career, Júnior Cordeiro managed to establish a strong characteristic: the peculiarity of the themes covered in his discography. The mythical and mystical Northeast, the Iberian heritage, popular magic, messianic delusions, rustic and sertanejo Catholicism, western occultism, metaphysics and existential questions, madness and many other intricate subjects, come together in a fixed idea of verification and denunciation of the evils of man's objectification in liquid and globalizing post-modernity, in a rich and fertile field of imagery, where the collective imagination is always present and invigorated. From his first album (Carrascais/2006), to O Lago Misterioso/2011, Capa Preta/2013, Sonhos, Sertão & Loucura/2016, Céu, Hades e outros Porvires/2018, Vênus Philpeia/2019, #CâmaraEco/2021, until it culminates in his newest work, Infinito Migrar/2022, Cordeiro navigates his sea of musical information, always willing to approach different themes related to human nature." |

Search | Add | 10 | Mohamed Marocain | Mohamed Hamadi | (1907-1973). |

The song reached number one on the UK Independent Singles Chart on the 19th December 2014. Known in her native city for her colorful hair and unique fashion sense, Lia's debut album proves there's much more to this striking young performer than aesthetics; her masterful songwriting talent belies her years. With producer Simon Britton (Aaliyah, Ashanti, Boyz II Men, Run DMC) and co-producer Jon Moon (Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Lady Gaga) by her side, the album features an impressive range of collaborators including Morris Pleasure of Earth Wind & Fire, (Michael Jackson, Christina Aguilera), Dale Davis (Tina Turner, Randy Crawford) and Karl Vanden Bossche (Jamiroquai, Mark Ronson, Gorillaz). Recording took place at Camden's legendary Sensible Music studios, which have also played host to the likes of Amy Winehouse, Sting and Michael Jackson. A sophisticated Pop undertone blends with a touch of Electro and Soul to connect the past, present and the future, characterterised honesty and innovation. Lia's unique vocal carries the listener through a journey that embraces love, heartbreak, death, grief, the search for happiness and ultimately a sense of self-empowerment. Legendary Bimbo Jones (34 UK Music Week number ones and 30 US Billboard Dance Chart number ones) were commissioned to remix Lia's first single from the album, 'Hound'. Their remix debuted at number two on the Dance/Crossover Top 40 Breaker Chart in the US, second only to Katy Perry at number one.

She played a couple of roles on no-wave films such as Rome '78, Kidnapped and The Foreigner.
