These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

The first songs he began to write while still at school, the first group with which he began to work at that time was Orient Express. After graduating from school, Andrey Shkolin entered the Krasnoyarsk Civil Engineering Institute. But he spent most of his time in the rehearsal room - as a result, he was expelled for poor progress and went to serve in the Army. Upon his return from the Armed Forces, he participates in various rock and bard festivals that were then held in the USSR. In 1988, as the leader of the Siberian Link group, in 1989 he recorded the album "You drink, brother, drink!" in the studio of Slava Medyanik, then in 1992 the album "Crazy Organ Grinder" was recorded. In mid-1992, Andrey Shkolin ended up in a prison in the city of Voronezh, where in cell No. IZ 31/1 a new album “Indian Summer Flirts” was written in a year, which included the song that became the artist’s “calling card” - “Silence Over the Voronezh Prison” . Released in 1993, he records the album “Indian Summer Flirts” and sends it to Moscow, from where it diverges throughout the country. From 1993 to 1999, Andrei Shkolin lived in Western Europe, where he did not study music. In 1999 he returned to Russia, to Krasnoyarsk, where he recorded the album "Comrade Lebed, you are a great scientist", which was not distributed. In 2001, he finished recording the album "You will put your hands on my shoulders." In 2002, a double disc “In a good hour” was released in Moscow and Andrei Shkolin moved to Moscow for permanent residence. In 2003, the album "Siberia" was released. In 2004, Andrey opens his own label "Master Disc Records" and releases a new album. In 2005 he published the magazine "Chanson - free song". |

Life in Norway with Mayhem became very difficult however and it is rumored that he didn't enjoy this world and Euronymous put a lot of pressure on him, or even bullied him, and he most likely suffered from depression. Ohlin died by suicide on April 8th, 1991 and left a note with the lyrics for "Life Eternal", which were later used on Mayhem's "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" album. |

They were definitely part of the "big-hair"-"sleaze rock"- "Hollywood glam" scene, but it wouldn't always remain that way. Eventually they would take a walk on the darker side of the street and be fully accepted in that realm as well. In the early days of Tragic Romance, you could find the band decked out in leather pants, eye-liner, and big hair.BThey tore up the stages of just about every large and small venue in the Hollywood and L.A. Valley clubs. They would share the stage with the likes of Warrant, Junkyard, Bang Tango, Love/Hate, Vain, Jetboy, L.A. Guns and many others of that ilk. They were fully accepted into the hairband world. However, in the fall of 1989, they meandered over to the darker side of hard rock music and soon won the respect of the underground scene that featured such wicked, wild, and wonderful luminaries like Jane's Addiction, Lions and Ghosts, Human Drama, Motorcycle Boy, The Nymphs, and many more. They felt more at home in this scene where dark sounds and real poetry for lyrics were the norm, instead of the overdone, overblown, anything for a good time theme that was smothering the Strip. By mid 1990, they had become critical favorites and a rare crossover of both the Strip and the Underground. They were getting the well-deserved respect that comes to a band so serious about their craft. On any given night you might find standing amongst their regular throng of fans - some of Hollywood's A-listers such as Dave Navarro, James Hetfield, and Lenny Kravitz. In mid '93 they signed with the metal label Century Media who released the intense and soaring live CD entitled "Cancel the Future" which garnered great critical praise, and some college airplay. In the music business, its easy come and easy go, and as has happened to many-a-other band, TR was left to wither due to lack of record company support. It turned out the band wasn't heavy enough for their hardcore fan-base and they shelved the project altogether. As a small child, he would spend hours in front of his parents’ 8 track or turntables, fiddling with the dials on the car radio, or enjoying his favorite toy, the Fisher Price record player. As time passed this passion only grew, and while the equipment evolved, the essence remained the same. By 17, Saint Michael was known as one of the DC area’s premier up and coming junglists and played weekly at events up and down the East Coast. He soon became interested in scratching/turntablism and SaintMic/ST/MiC was born, blessing the microphone with lyricism, while still remaining firmly ensconced in production and work behind the wheels of steel. By the mid 2000’s, ST/MiC had a number of regular gigs both on the tables and the mic in the DMV area, including a weekly in Fredericksburg, as well as frequent spots at Jessie Tittsworth’s now legendary Krunk events. From ’04-’06, there were frequent collaborations, production for other artists, and the release of several EPs, including those of friends Jazz Addixx. 2009 and 10 would prove equally busy with releases on DigiCrates Records, Japan’s Libyus Music (alongside artists like Nujabes and Fat Jon), and production and engineering credits including Moka Only, Muneshine, Has-Lo and many other well known artists in the indie hip hop scene. In 2011, Mike’s musical explorations took him down yet another new avenue. Having just finished hosting a 52 episode underground hip hop and beat phantasmagoria radio show series , Scrunch Face, Mike adopted a new moniker, SaintLike, to match the new direction. With his very first dubstep remix winning a remix contest for French producer LaTourette and landing on an EP on Beatport in early 2012, the rest of the year would bring more sonic noodlings into the deeper side of bass. As part of the One Love Massive collective, SaintLike continues to bring his genre-defying, “let’s push things forward” sounds to the aurally-inclined. His prolific release schedule continues to bless the mic and pay homage to subwoofer science. |

Luis Giménez Amorós started performing live at the age of 15 with local bands in his hometown Villena, Spain. During that time, he also toured around Spain with a story-telling company called Colorín Colorado until he moved to England at the age of 18, where he started performing with world music artists such as Ahmed Muktar (Iraq), Chartwell Dutiro (Zimbabwe) and Mzungu Kichaa (Tanzania) among others. After his time in England and influenced by a number of artists from the world music industry, he went back to Spain where he established two bands – Dimeiwe (2005-2008) and Demachena (2009-2011) – releasing nine albums and touring throughout Europe and Africa. In 2011, he moved to South Africa where he formed a new band called “Café con Leche” and performed with African artists such as Mariem Hassan (Western Sahara), Ramata Diakite (Mali) and Hope Masike (Zimbabwe). During 2019-2020, he has released two new albums entitled Middle Passage and Pagoda Session. Both albums are based on a musical journey from Spain to South Africa (Middle Passage) and a historical journey from Al-Andalus to Malaysia (Pagoda Session). The international experience and musical influences during these two decades performing are reflected in his albums and live performances. As Hopeton Gordon at the A.C.E. BBC show said about Demachena, Luis ́compositions are “an exciting and unique blend of African rhythms and Latin flavours, truly something special". Besides his artistic career, Luis has been an Ethnomusicology lecturer in various Universities and conducted interdisciplinary research in three different continents from which he published many academic articles, five documentaries and two academic books. |

She had a musical upbringing; her childhood memories are of climbing trees and reading books with an eclectic soundtrack on a bright yellow Sony Walkman including The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Monkees, Steely Dan, The Bangles, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Kate Bush and David Bowie. Rosalie’s father, always a working roadie and musician, toured the US with The Grateful Dead and other bands during the 1970s, creating the belief that life as a musician was always only a small step away. She started learning the piano at 5 and the guitar at 14 and sang to anyone who would listen. Rosalie started out creating song and dance routines to Madonna and Michael Jackson, then grew out of that and spent hours moodily playing guitar along with The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, U2, The Lemonheads and REM. Rosalie’s teenage years were spent obsessing over Suede, Blur, Elastica, Sleeper, Pulp, The Divine Comedy and The Longpigs, although she never realised her dream of fronting an indie band or of marrying Evan Dando. She continues to love both the earnest and emotional synthpop and the edgier new wave of the 1980s (Roxy Music, Cocteau Twins, Sparks). In the early 2000s Rosalie began writing and recording in ambient/down-tempo electronica duo Delaware with guitarist and producer Benjamin Morgan, influenced by Zero 7 and Air. Although Delaware played very few gigs, one song ‘I Can Get Out’ was used in US series The Black Donnellys, sparking a life-long ambition to get a song on Grey’s Anatomy. Rosalie has since performed in various bands, building her confidence as a songwriter, pianist and backing singer. She formed pop-folk band All the Fires in 2008 and performed as lead singer in Cornwall and around the UK to a steadily growing and loyal fan base. All the Fires released their debut album ‘Territories’ in 2012 to popular acclaim but the band ended in early 2013 – a subject Rosalie will talk about at length if required to but would much rather leave to your imagination. Rosalie’s work is an unusual mixture of melancholy and mischievousness. Her voice and songs can be heart-breaking, but coupled with a wry, sardonic humour and a propensity for candid on-stage and lyrical revelations about her own mental health (which she self-describes as “a fun combination of autistic traits and EUPD”), religion, heartbreak, television and substance abuse it makes for an interesting show. Rosalie makes no apology for including her own versions of popular hits by Kate Bush, Radiohead, Billy Bragg, The Cure, The Eagles, Nine Inch Nails and many others in her set. These sit comfortably alongside Rosalie’s own compositions, in which the influence of the classic songwriting of the 70s, the 80s’ emotional depth and 90s’ hooky indie melodies can be clearly felt. Rosalie says that she has repeatedly tried to give up music but that it just won’t seem to go away. She is now recording her debut album, which predicts a move towards the atmospheric LA indie/dreampop sound (think Phoebe Bridgers, Cigarettes After Sex, Sharon Van Etten, Lucy Dacus). Her joy in writing and performing both her own and others’ songs is evident and what is guaranteed is that in every performance and every recording, Rosalie gives you a little piece of her accidentally massive heart. | |
