Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Angel S. | Angel Sakurai | From the early age of six years old when Angel Sakurai began his training in classical Piano and Organ, he has always had a special affinity for music. That special fondness was not limited to just classical music but also many other popular genre's like reggae, soul, dance, techno, and house music. In the mid 1990's Angel began his D.J. career spinning at popular Tokyo nightclubs like Fai, Lust, Cave, Web, Maist, Gamos, Manuera Cafe, GoGo Lounge, La Fabrique Tokyo to name a few. Angel's radio D.J. activities included spinning at FM Shonan Napasa and a Kamakura FM radio program. The year 2000 marked a notable point in his career, he was invited to participate in an album for Hemptone Inn Records. Angel produced the popular laid back track "Afternoon Gin" for the "Hemptone Inn Records VA 02" compilation album. Also in that same year, Angel released his debut album entitled "angel" in collaboration with "aor" fashion brand, popular in the young independent fashion scene. Angel's next album "angel volume 2" was released in March, 2001. This second album, also in collaboration with the Fashion label AOR was an original T-shirt and CD set. Sold at popular fashionable Tokyo shops like United Arrows, Far East Irony, this CD and T-shirt set was very well received. The Album's concept to create a cityscape soundtrack for different areas of the world special to Angel, Tokyo London, Paris, New York, and the Bali resort island, Legian. The ambient vibrations of the city and it's people, concrete or tropical, big or small. 2003, "Sexy Music" explores yet another aspect of the city. Keywords for this album are night, young Love, and things sexy. Taking the influences of late 70's and 80's Black American Contemporary Urban Music and combining the moody downbeat with present day dance music, to express Angel's unique night atmosphere. In the 2006, he was invited to participate in an album for Unity Records. Angel produced the deep and sexy track "Do What You Like" for the "SPIN:YELLOW" compilation album mixed by DJ Khadji, Unity Records A&R. 2013 Abegel released digital album “Angel Vol.01” on iTunes store and Amazon all over the world. On the other hand, Angel has started publishing Re-edit and remix singles on SoundCloud and Bandcamp since 2011. |

Search | Add | 3 | Ensemble "Ile-De-France" | The instrumental Ensemble "Ile-De-France" was created in 1961 by some choir singers from the [a3519899] who were also playing instruments like guitar, recorder or lute. Other amateur musicians joined, adding more baroque instruments to the line-up. The group have played hundreds of concerts, either alone or accompanied by choirs from the movement "A Cœur Joie". They have also recorded several albums, some with the [a=Chorale Franco-Allemande De Paris]. The repertoire of this amateur ensemble is made up of music from the end of the Middle Ages to the 18th century, and of comtemporary music played with ancient instruments.

A unique brand of hallucinatory, melodramatic chamber-pop. Songs for strange and beautiful margins; intense, absurd, soft, playful, intricate. Something like if Béla Bartók ran the Dirty Projectors as a string and vocal duet.

Search | Add | 3 | Grupo Alaya | Music group from Bolivia (South America) created in 1984 in La Paz, Bolivia. The name of the group "Alaya" comes from the Aymara language which means "from above", with reference to artists living at 3,800 meters from the sea level. The musicians of the group live between Bolivia and France. In 26 years of career, 5 CDs have been produced, mainly Miguel Angel PUÑA's compositions, but also a few covers of traditional and popular Andean music. The characteristics of Grupo ALAYA's music are the links with nature and the cosmos. His music is the voice of the Altiplano and Lake Titicaca (the highest navigable lake in the world). It carries with it the melancholy of one of the poorest countries in the world that has endured four centuries of servitude, exploitation, oppression and political instability. It reflects the energy and love of a people who face their destiny without losing hope. It is the expression of the mystery of the mountains where lives El Condor, the king of birds. Grupo ALAYA wishes to promote Bolivian art which is based on a rich cultural heritage, with live events (music, song, dance ...) such as shows and animations. Participating in cultural exchanges between peoples makes it possible to affirm the personality and the soul of the Bolivian lifestyle. In a spirit of valorization and evolution of the Bolivian folklore, the group interprets different styles of music: - traditional music also called indigenous music, the one that comes from the Andean high plateau. It can be played at carnival time, but also during community celebrations. The composition of this ancestral music requires the intervention of wind instruments (sikus, zampoñas ..) and percussion (bombo ...) - contemporary city music, imbued with Spanish influence, particularly with stringed instruments such as the guitar. - modern music that retains traditional instrumentation and rhythm and uses Western instruments such as bass, drums or keyboards. All these reasons make Grupo ALAYA an ambassador of Bolivian culture.
