Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Andrew Cushen | Andrew Cushen | Andrew "Andy Trash" Cushen has been playing music since his debut at CBGBs at 13 years old on drums with The Cravens. He went on to play drums with Redex before switching to bass in such acts as Scarecrow (3 tracks are available on 2012 release "Dark New York (Gotham City's Post Punk, Goth, & Deathrock Bands 1983-1988) Vol. 1", infamous NYC trashrock band Chop Shop with Joe Truck, and a short stint in the briefly-reformed HiSheriffs of Blue. That led him to more of an emphasis on Delta Blues and slide guitar, fronting shortlived Punk/Delta hybrid Love In Vein with Eddie Stern (Chop Shop), Jerry Williams (Th' Cigaretz, 171-A Studio) and Scott Jarvis (Cigz, Workdogs, etc.). Next was blues/punk/rock hybrid The Hellhounds, and occasional gigs with the Workdogs (one captured here: https://workdogs.bandcamp.com/track/the-theme-2), plus an appearance on their 1993 release "Roberta" on lap steel (available on Spotify). After a hiatus of a dozen years, he recently resurfaced for a few Hellhounds reunion gigs, then spent just under a year in Brooklyn-based HonkyTonk/Alt-Country outfit Aron Blue and The Bootleggers, whose eponymous record he appears on, playing lead and slide on all tracks, though uncredited. Currently he can be heard gigging with Rockabilly band The Skelekasters, and The Robert Kennedy Assassination, and on guest lead and rhythm guitar on the Jam Messengers song "Contact High".. |

Search | Add | 3 | Everett Shock | As the 80's progressed, [a=name (6)] only played sporadically and by the mid 80's they had more or less disbanded. Everett Shock was planning to leave the Bay Area and Henry Kaiser asked Shock to record unused material from the past few years before moving away to document the work and compositions of the past few years. For reasons not entirely clear, the record was released under Shock's name rather than [a=name (6)]. Wold described the album as a "love gift" to Shock. The album was mainly recorded in a home studio in southern California. All members of Name except Statham performed on the album. Everett Shock is now a professor at Arizona State University.

Search | Add | 3 | The East Texas String Ensemble | The East Texas String Ensemble (pronounced "In-SIM-bel") formed in 1968 in the college town of Nacogdoches, TX, and consisted of 4 college professors who loved traditional country music: Francis "Ab" Abernethy (bass fiddle and vocals), Stan Alexander (guitar and vocals), Charles Gardner (fiddle, mandolin, and vocals), and Tom Nall, (banjo and vocals). The ETSE played county fairs, weddings, U.S. State Department cultural programs and - beginning in 1972, they represented Texas hillbilly music at the annual Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio. In approximately 1983, Charles Gardner left the group and was replaced by local high school teacher and fiddler Ronnie Wolf. The original members of the band are all deceased but leave a legacy of having communicated the joy and excitement of traditional rural country music to new generations.

Search | Add | 3 | Zombies Loves Videogames | Matt Gallagher & Julie Rutherford | Zombies Loves Videogames was a Chiptune/Emo project based in Port Macquarie, Australia. Founded in 2007 originally by Matt Gallagher and Owen Guttormsen, Matt and Owen created the band as a hobby rather than something serious and released the first EP in 2009 Where would be the only release where Owen would be present since at the end of that year he died from a car accident. After months, Matt decides to recruit Julie Rutherford (A friend who met her on Myspace) and for the following year, they decided to release the first full-length album. The duo released a total of: 2 albums (Pretty Bits Machine and The Living Sprites), 3 EPs (Self Titled, Penguins And Nintendo Games!! and Konami Code) and 1 live-album (Thx U Sm, UK <3) and 1 compilation (Untitled), The project lasted from 2007 to 2014 when Matt and Julie decided to leave the band because they wanted to pursue other projects not related to ZLV. And it wasn't until 2021 that they returned to work on the project and would create new songs again, although so far they haven't released anything yet. •Members• Matt Galmagher (vox, screams, programming) - 2007-present Julie Rutherford (backup vox, keyboard) - 2009-present •Former Members• Owen Guttormsen (keyboard, programming)[deceased] - 2007-2009 |

In the late 1970's Asbjørn Hollund and Roar Nordhagen joined, and the group changed name to To+To+To. For their recording debut three years later, they changed the name to 2+2+2 ("To" is Norwegian for the number 2, but the record company felt that spelling it with digits would be more "marketable"). Two years after that, Elisabeth Nordhagen left the group to focus on her family, and Tom Sennerud and Rune Rudberg joined the group. Appears to have been active till early 1985, after which the two Holm sisters and Rune Rudberg continued as the short-lived [a1459122].

Year before Frano played Scotty Moore’s (Elvis Presley’s lead guitarist) guitar at the convention’s final evening concert. Search | Add | 3 | Wayne Downey | Wayne R. Downey | Wayne Downey's involvement in music began in 1960 as a third grader in Commack, New York as a trumpet player in the elementary band. A few years later, the local Fire department organized a fife, drum and bugle corps to perform at various civic events and at fireman's parades. Wayne's next-door neighbor (a fireman) persuaded him to march in the corps. After several seasons, Wayne became more attracted to a drum and bugle corps in nearby Smithton, New York, primarily because their horns had a valve and a slide. He marched with the Smithtown Freelancers in 1966, 1967, and 1968. In 1969, his senior year in high school, Wayne marched in the Long Island [a8590293] as one of their soprano soloists. At the same time his father, who was an elementary school principal, interviewed for and accepted a job in California, which required relocation. The family departed during the summer of 1969, leaving Wayne behind to march with the Sunrisers. Wayne planned on finishing out the season with the Sunrisers and taking advantage of a music scholarship offered to him by Florida State University. However, midway through the summer, Wayne decided it was best to join his parents in California. "After all, great weather is great weather no matter which coast you soak it up on." With this in mind, he elicited the help of friends (including Dave Shaw, Editor of Drum Corps Digest) to locate any drum and bugle corps on the West coast. Wayne was informed of a three-year old corps located in Santa Clara, California called the [a473043]. Ironically, his parents had moved just one block away from the home of the Vanguard's corps director, [a4670281]. Wayne marched soprano bugle with Vanguard during the end of the 1969 season, and all of 1970-72. In 1971, Santa Clara's brass instructor [a5983459] left the corps. Jack was replaced as brass instructor by Wayne (one of the soprano soloists in the corps) and [a8735443] (an "age out" from the previous season), led by Gail Royer as music director and arranger. Wayne "aged out" in 1972. During that season, the professional relationship between Wayne and Gail had soured and Wayne was politely "relieved of his responsibilities" as brass instructor at the end of the season. In 1973, Wayne instructed the reigning World Champion [a8838508], and the [a8590005]. He was teaching the Commodores on Tuesday evenings, and then flying down to Los Angeles on Wednesdays to teach the Kingsmen. During the winter months, Wayne drove to LA every weekend to instruct the Kingsmen and finally moved to LA in the summer. After the drum corps season was completed, Wayne moved back to San Francisco to complete his last year of undergraduate work at nearby San Jose State University. Meanwhile, the position for San Jose State's marching band director became available and Wayne interviewed for the job "just for the hell of it". The next day, San Jose State University Band Director and undergraduate student Wayne Downey met his secretary, moved into his office, and prepared for next season. For the next two years Wayne wrote the drill and the music, directed one of the jazz/pep bands, and taught a marching band techniques class. During his first week as band director, Wayne received a telephone call from [a4670283], the director of the Concord [a1063612]. Jerry expressed interest in having Wayne teach the [a1063612]. Wayne reluctantly agreed to help audition of new people for the corps' 1974 season. "There was this for incredible magnetic energy that drew me into the organization" says Wayne of his first visit to Concord. At that time, [a8892724] was the brass instructor and arranger for the [a1063612]. Wayne and Jim were already good friends from their times together instructing the Commodores and marching in the Vanguard. Ultimately, Wayne decided to take the job as brass instructor with the [a1063612]. In 1974, the [a1063612] improved their placement at [l153566] (DCI) Nationals from 24th to 9th place. The next year, from 9th to 3rd, and the corps took their first DCI Title in 1976, the quickest three year ascent in DCI history. Wayne was now twenty-five years old. After graduating from [l277506] with a degree in secondary music education, Wayne opted to work full-time for gal the Concord [a1063612] and has been there ever since. Today, Wayne Downey has reached "icon" status in the drum corps community. He has enriched drum corps and high school and college marching bands throughout the world with his instructional techniques and carefully crafted musical arrangements. He continues to arrange, adjudicate, and instruct, and he still somehow manages to make time to consult and conduct clinics for Yamaha Music Corporation of America. |

Has an unpolished amateur glow – you could easily imagine these folks leading the Catholic collegiates in song at a Newman club in the late ‘60s. Titles like ‘We Have His Spirit In Our Hearts’, ‘Lord, We Touch You Today’, ‘Do We Really Try?’, ‘Lord, We Make This Your World’ and ‘Won’t You Come Away?’ are all presented with simple acoustic guitar backing, alternating solo singing with unison vocals. All songs composed by Rev. Shawn Tracy, O.S.A." (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott). The group released three albums, The 10:15 (1968), Making Tracks (1972) and Songs of the Father (1974). Search | Add | 3 | the trve Bapphoman | A collective of artists from Italy, writing music under aliases, active since 2002. The collective claim to be the musical branch of an esoteric order. Thematically, their lyrics are various degrees of satire targeting the Italian's and World's politics, popular culture and musical subcultures (especially Black Metal and Metal as a whole). The collective remained quite elusive, spreading some handmade demo compilations with dozens of songs of very different styles, until 2022, when it signed with Nycticorax Production. From there, The Trve Bapphoman started to publish official remastered compilations of new and old songs.

Search | Add | 3 | Metrallo | Metrallo | Metrallo has it´s roots in early 2010 as a Cristian Montoya (Lead guitar/vocals) idea, an an attempt to create an 80’s influenced thrash metal band. The idea began in 2009 when he composed 2 of the songs that the band now plays in every single performance. In 2010 Cristian Quintero shares his band idea with Cristian Salazar (guitar/chorus) who accepted to take part of the project, and a few months later while in a night of drinking, they named the band “METRALLO”. Metrallo is the slang used to allude to the band’s home town (Medellín) adopted by locals in the early 1980s due to the violence partaking in the city since then. The name stands for “Medallo” (city’s original appellation) and “Metralleta” (machinegun). While searching for the remaining members of the band they called up Duber Lopez (Drums 2010 – 2013) an acquaintance of the band that was just starting to play drums and aided to the process of forming the first lineup of the band with two guitars, the drum set; and vocals and chorus from Cristian Quintero and Cristian Salazar respectively. Mid 2010 they convince an old friend of joining the band; Felipe Rivas (Bass 2010 – 2013) having minor knowledge with the guitar, he decides to join the band as a bass player. After two years of rehearsal and arrangements they started to work on their first production in early 2013. The idea was taking shape since their first composition “Alcoholemia” song that named their first EP released in March 2013. This production consist of 5 demolishing songs made with a lot of effort and work and was completely self-produced with the savings of each band member who gathered a fee every week before rehearsing. They printed 300 records, the band’s biggest achievement at the time. Unfortunately a few months later, Felipe Rivas decides to leave the band due to personal and professional reasons, but kept a close relation with the band members. Metrallo’s lack of bass player was short since Cristian Salazar invited to join an acquaintance that liked the band and had some experience with the bass. Cristian Velasquez (bass 2013 – current) takes up on the opportunity and joins the band as the new bass player, bringing new ideas and even more union to the band. Days later Duber Lopez decides to leave too. Fortunately another friend of the band who had played in early projects with Cristian Quintero was available and very excited with the idea of playing in the band, thus, Wilo Montoya (Drums 2013 – current) join ranks in Metrallo making it more than a band a family. In late 2013 the band is contacted by 2 Greek labels interested in producing a vinyl (LP) and a CD with songs from the EP. They wanted a new design and 3 more songs to complete the recording, so the band with now two new members and little time had to work in composing and recording the new songs. This presented a huge challenge for the band, but after a lot of commitment they finished recording and the new design in April 2014. The vinyl will be named “Kill the Witch” in recognition to the band most liked song from their first EP and it is expected to be released late 2014 arriving on a near date to our country from Europe. |
