Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Preisthood Priesthood now consists of J-Raw, Mr. Swift and Chico Breeze. The group was founded in 1994 by J-Raw (junior Moaalii) and Papa Semm (Semi Tafao). The two came from different gospel rap groups. J-Raw was with a group called "Prophets of Peace" and Papa Semm was with "Next of Kin". In 1996 Mr. Swift was added to the line up. Name But the crew had been together playing shows, without a name, until Papa Semm presented, "Priesthood". This he saw in the Bible in Hebrews 7:24, "Because Jesus lives forever, we are a permanent Priesthood". Papa Semm left after the recording of "Turn up your radio" in 2002. He went to help his mother to run their church. Metro One Music Priesthood released an independent tape in late 1997 and was soon there after signed to Metro 1 Music, January 15,1999. Their debut "Sprinkle Me Luv", was released in stores, July 20th, 1999. The music is a mix of hip hop and R&B, which blends into a very soulful sound. Crew J-Raw or Junior Moaalii as he is known by friends and family was born in California, but was raised in American Samoa, an island within the South Pacific. He returned back to California in 1988. His parents were divorced and he finally ended in Lynwood where he stayed with his uncle and his family, who were devout followers of the Lord. J-Raw grew up listening to different styles of music in which later developed into a passion to write. He first started out in a group called "Prophet's Of Peace", who released a couple of independent CD's and he was also involved with a group from Compton, who had a group called "Village Crew Production". Then J-Raw decided to use his talents for God and founded Priesthood. Identity Mr. Swift (Kirk Douglas) was raised in a christian home, still he was searching for his identity. He didn't like the person, who he was. At a young age he accepted he needed Jesus in his life. He says about that time "So, I asked Jesus into my life personally and from the age of 15 he's never left me". Foundation Adam Maaele is Chici Breeze, who was born and raised in Carson, California. Adam was heavily involved in gangs, but had his grandparents and other people praying for him. This laid the foundation for the change in the lifestyle he was leading. In the year 1994 he accepted God. Now he's married and has four daughters.

Search Add 2 Pucho Vilar Pucho Vilar was the younger brother of Italian singer Tony Vilar, who was the main star of the CBS Argentina label during the early 1960s. Pucho was around fifteen years old when he was offered a record deal with small-time label Junior (a record label for teenage artists). Pucho enjoyed unexpected runaway success during 1964 with twist single "Buenos Y Malos" and was offered a better deal at Microfon label, but his carreer was short-lived. He also appeared in television show "Escala Musical" and in Microfon's LP compilation, "Una ventana al Éxito" during late 1964. By late 1965 he was completely off the music industry. At the time, there is not any information about his whereabouts.

At 1982, Saifullin debuted in Tomsk with saxophonist Valentin Rusakov. The duo played new jazz at festivals in Novosibirsk and Moscow in 1983-84. Search Add 2 Philip Challis The pianist Philip Challis [1929-1996] born in Huddersfield, the Yorkshire town world famous for its magnificent Choral Society, was able to read at sight at age 4 and quickly progressed, at first with local teacher Frederick Greenwood. In 1948 he took over at short notice in a concert when the soloist Colin Horsley became ill. Challis was a student of Iso Elinson at the Royal Manchester College of Music, then went on to study with Herbert Fryer (1877-1957) who had attended Busoni's classes. Fryer was an excellent pianist and teacher - among his students were Constant Lambert, Cyril Smith, Kendall Taylor, George Malcolm, Lance Dossor. Later Challis studied with Ilona Kabos (1892-1973), wife of Louis Kentner. Her musical studies were made at the Liszt Academy in Budapest. She taught many pianists who achieved eminence (Howard Shelley, Janos Solyom, Varella-Cid, Peter Frankl etc) in England then at the Juilliard School. Challis, a pianist who excelled in the big virtuoso works of Ravel, Liszt, Scriabin and Bartok, performed widely in UK and Europe, made very many BBC broadcasts, featured in a number of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, in solo recitals and with orchestras. He was also a successful teacher in Worthing and London but died in mid-career before reaching the age of seventy.

Over the years a variety of hardwrae has been used from roland, korg electribe and quasimidi grooveboxes, yamaha su series and roland sp808 samplers, yamaha motif 6 and access virus ti polar synthesisers to a variety of modular synthesisers including variously analogue systems, bugbrand, cwejman, doepfer, multiple eurorack brand frankenstein systems, elby euroserge and others - for full details see the equipboard page in the allmylinks on the weblinks list below.
