Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Cantor Samuel Heber | St. Louis, Missouri Born in Lodz, Poland in 1928, Cantor Samuel Heber was a young boy when he arrived in the USA on January 1940. Narrowly escaping Europe just before the Nazis invaded Paris, he eventually made his home in St. Louis MO. He studied Chazzanus under the famed cantor and composer Joshua Weiser in his youth and received his ordination from the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY in 1952. It was at this time that he was invited to St. Louis MO to become a Hazzan at the city’s largest Orthodox congregation. He served as Cantor at Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha Congregation in St. Louis, MO until 1973 and officiated at Chesed Shel Emes Congregation (now U.CityShul) for a decade after. His lyric tenor voice with baritone qualities was unusually brilliant in tone and emotional in warmth. He appeared before audiences throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. In 1968 while attending the International Conference of Cantors and Choirs in Israel he was invited to perform in the home of Israel's third president, Zalman Shazar. Even in his later years he was sought after as a High Holy Day Cantor in congregations around the world.

Search | Add | 2 | Eric DeCamp | From the creative and scientific mind of Eric DeCamp comes a collaborative excursion into the collective unconscious which makes painfully clear the divison between the self, the whole, and the secluded nature of humanity. Powerful and emotional, neoclassical instrumentals carry us through the air aloft like helpless insects until we are gently set back down to to earth, miles from any previously recognizable world. Close your eyes. Give yourself to the moment.

Search | Add | 2 | Rob Picazo | Roberto Picazo | Rob Picazo is a Rhythm & Blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Madrid and based in London, Rob’s love for Blues, Soul and Gospel date back to his teenage years, as regular explorations of his father’s vast record collection and the music of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke gave way to an obsession marked by listening, research and adulation. Over time, all these influences inspired Rob to write songs with themes of vulnerability, intensity and heartache. Rob’s songs travel the map of US Soul, R&B and Gospel, drawing inspiration from the sounds of Chicago, New Orleans and, of course, Memphis in the 60s and 70s. Rob’s upcoming album was recorded in the heart of Soulsville with a stunning band that featured Memphis legend Charles Hodges on the Hammond B3. With Rob’s caramel vocals sitting atop a stew of boiling guitars, simmering organ, soulful horns and funky rhythms, he’s set to make his mark in the history of Southern Soul. |

Search | Add | 2 | Lamalice | Pure product of Marseille, Lamalice lived his youth by being a drummer in a rock band and hip-hop dancer. At the end of 2012 he discovered electronic music via "house dance", one of the parent disciplines of hip-hop dance. After Monkey Coops and DRMC (Def Raw Music Concept) he looks at his solo project and releases his first EP on Shotgun Records. Then he joined his new family, the Sentaku label. He will release a title under DRMC in 2018 sentarl label, several digital tracks and a split EP in collaboration with Dandeloo more recently in 2021. Dj known for his finest but very open selection, he added a string to his bow by working on a first solo live in the image of his universe : minimal rhythm and hypnotic. Somebody with « malice » often have more than one trick in their bag. It is in this spirit that we can define Lamalice, improving its versatility and technique, expressing its emotions and roots both in the studio, behind turntables and machines.

Search | Add | 2 | Shadiii | Former members of South of Sahara, tshidi helen Leloka and Anneline Malebo met a former member of the all rounders, Faith Shadi Kekana and formed a new trio, shadiii. It was named after Faith but spelled with three i’s at the end to show that they were three, as in Bob Marley’s backing vocalists,I-three (rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths & Judy Mowatt). Shadiii released a maxi single, Yes I’m Gonna Give It Up, in 1985 on rpM’s right track label written by Sizwe Zako, produced by allister coakley and engineer, creg cutler. Maybe I should pay a special tribute to Faith Shadi Kekana, daughter of a preacherman who featured in many music projects before going solo. She has travelled the world backing superstars as a vocalist. Besides her session musicianship, she’s been a member of the all rounders, Shadiii as well as Varukweru whose members included Vusi Khumalo (drums), Bakithi Khumalo (bass), Zoli Bacela (guitar) and ndumiso nyovane (trumpet). Sadly, Bacela passed away in august 2006, a few days before the death of talented saxophonist, Moses Khumalo. By 2008 Faith had released her debut solo album titled Ha Re Yeng produced by condry Ziqubu.

Search | Add | 2 | Merlin Ettore | Merlin Ettore is an experimental musician, artist, drummer, and percussionist. MERLIN ETTORE is a creative freak: a virtuoso drummer, masterful producer, and coveted visual artist. With a long-established artistic persona proving as polymorphic as his skillset, his message cuts as striking and uncompromising, defined by a bold aesthetic-noire he can call his own. While the intense, polyrhythmic powerplay that underpins his live performances leaves a compelling mark, his compositions reveal a mastery of both the acoustic instruments and analog equipment that define his sound. Ettore cuts a unique presence in electronic music’s experimental underground. A passion for the interaction between acoustic and electronic instruments has led to the creation of intricate, mind-bending, and challenging compositions. There's an unrelenting and visceral impulse to his work, defined by a life-long and far-reaching passion for the rhythmic qualities of music. It’s a compelling, abrasive alchemy, defined by a belief in pursuing the ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’. This is 'total' music production: composition, collaboration, performance, and recording - of which Ettore is a proven master in all four disciplines. Merlin has been seen and heard through various collaborations with an array of forward-thinking artists such as Don Preston (Frank Zappa), Pussy Riot, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson), Huun Huur tu, Kangding Ray, Barry Burns (Mogwai) Belief Defect, Kyoka, Samuel Kerridge, Cirk La Putyka & dance company rootless roots. Music festival appearances include Dismaland, Atonal, Unsound, Rewire, WOMAD, and Diaghilev Festival.

Search | Add | 2 | Stoyk | Stoyk is a French hardcore/techno/gabber and breakcore producer. A member of the Core-Tex Labs label and hardcore party collective. He lived in Australia for a brief period in Sydney during the early to mid 2000s. While in Australia he started "Travelcore" with fellow french producers and DJs including Zip The Robot and Epo and organised warehouse and underground parties around inner city Sydney alongside fellow co-conspirators, The "Killerwatts" or KWS breakcore and hardcore crew. In 2004 and 2005 he also co-hosted the "Illegal Frequencies" Radio Show on 2serFM with The Shredder. Stoyk's sets were notorious for live mashups of industrial hardcore and gabber with heavy metal and punk rock songs. Often combining common moshpit favourites with abrasive noise and bass and heavy distorted breakbeats. Stoyk now lives back in his native France and when not raising a family still produces hardcore techno and organises parties...although not as frequently as he used to.
