Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Lj Ugarte Lj Ugarte LJ Ugarte is an American Actor,Singer,Songwriter,Producer and Humanitarian Award Winner. born January 6th, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York. Captivated by the Arts from the early age of five, LJ began singing, taking dance and acting classes. His skill and talent developed over the years fueled by taking ballet. During his admittance into the Ballet Hispanico Dance Company, he was able to master the arts, even more, enjoying every moment. He embraced every opportunity to develop and diversify his love for arts within the entertainment field. This was a wonderful time for LJ. His family later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. In 1997 Lj attended Palm Beach Lakes High school where he vigorously continued to study Acting. He excelled as an Actor both on stage and in front of the Camera using Sanford Meisner’s master technique. In addition, he continued his study of dance and in his senior year he had the chance to perform for the Florida Stage company in the production of “Gun play”. LJ later attended Keiser college in the study of computer graphic designing and imaging, between college he was working on starting his music career as a vocalist and songwriter the following college he began concentrating on his skills performing professionally at large venues with local artists at various nightclubs throughout the United States and Canada. He is currently in the process of writing and producing his own music with an eye toward much success within the mainstream of the Music industry. With his 90’s and millennium R&B moves and his braided hair vibe, LJ Ugarte's debut single wore its old school on its sleeve. In the course of two singles, LJ has vaulted from wanting to re-create the mood of the vintage soul to wanting to make his own combination of Maxwell and Eric Benet These two singles mark the return of the retro-soul movement that began taking shape several years ago. LJ is aiming to return the soul to a headier, more opulent era. Some new Hip Hop and R&B artist revel in a sometimes brazen, sometimes vulgar fusion of hip-hop and old-school-soul pleading.

Search Add 2 Brad Dungca Bradley Burke Dungca 1960-2023 Brad was considered by some as one of Kansas City’s best blues and jazz guitarists in recent memory. If an instrument had strings, he could play it and play it brilliantly. His specialties were the hollow body and electric bass guitars, but he could also play a mean violin, piano and keyboard, mandolin, and banjo. He could be found in local coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and venues under the monikers Artemus Arbustos, Seventh Note, and Duke Slim. He played the music circuit with a variety of bands including Right Clique Blues Band, Big Harry & The Back Alley Blues, Blues Underground, Nouveau Jazz, the Christopher Burnett Quintet, In the Pocket, and Smiley’s Graffiti. He also regularly performed with other fellow instrumentalists, including keyboardist Becky Berry, guitarist Don Spain, percussionist Jeff Collins, and others. For over 17 years, Brad taught hundreds of aspiring musicians at the iconic Toon Shop in Lenexa, Kansas. Search Add 2 Conterm_red Conterm_red was founded in the late 90's by Winfried Strauss. He developed the music slowly from trackerbased computer music towards industrial and EBM. In 1998 Tom joined Conterm_red as vocalist and songwriter as well. After releasing the more industrial and lofi sounding MCD [r=1190541] Conterm_red changed their music style by including more and more electronic elements and went into the music studio Audiodrome in Mannheim to record their songs. The next EP [r=1190537] was released exactly two years after the first MCD. Today Conterm_red represents a hard, technoid sound without any vocals except sampled voices and a music style somewhere between Thomas P. Heckmann and Tragic Error.

Died May 25, 2003 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Shard's father was a vaudeville conductor and his mother a vaudeville pianist. He began playing the drums when he was seven, began the saxophone and clarinet at twelves and the trombone at sixteen. His first band job came at the age of eighteen with Enoch Light at the Taft Hotel. He added more instruments to his repertoire including piano, chimes, tin whistle, xylophone and vibraharp. He left Light for Horace Heidt then Frankie Masters. Then he left night clubs for radio. He had his own network show "Hot Jerry" until he was drafted in World War II. After three years in the Air Force he joined the Paul Whiteman band, then became the staff conductor of radio station WMCA. In addition, he formed his own ensemble which eventually led to The Picadilly Hotel and The Picadilly Trio. In 1950, Shard was named musical director of the pop division of Abbey Records. He was arranger, conductor and co-emcee with Joe O'Brien on WMCA's "Open House." Shard also did the music for "The Steve Allen Show" on CBS (1950-2).

It's some hard street tales about living in Jacktown over with great mic control over pure southern fried funk. Timeless album... Ratt Pac also performed the song "If I Fail" featuring R.M.C. on the compilation of Monetary Records released in 2000 & entitled "Survival Of The Fittest", entirely produced by legendary Freddie Young... After this they vanished. Don't know what they became...

Eventually she also started to buy her own records and so the love for DJ’ing began. Whilst hanging out with her friends, they were thinking about what artist name would fit Denise. She played mostly hard techno and absolutely loved the bass! Around that time the idea of “Feel My Bass” was born, it wasn’t really a name but after some creative juggling with letters she decided on Miss eFeMBy, pronounced as Miss eF – eM – Bi. The next 20 years she was resident in many different clubs and had bookings in many other locations. Over the years the love of DJ’ing turned into something else, passion. Passion for music and therefor she decided to start creating her own music by using Ableton and lots of creativity at the end of 2018. At the end of July 2019 she started the weekly 3 hour live show “Techno Diaries” every Wednesday @ Radio Dark Tunnel.

Search Add 2 Maude Bascome Cummings Taylor Bermudian-born Maude Bascome Cummings Taylor emigrated as a young woman to the United States, where she established herself as a pianist, organist, music teacher and choir director. A woman with boundless energy, she ran a music school on weekdays, teaching voice and piano, and directed church choirs on Sundays. At Cornerstone Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, where she was a choir director for 45 years, she is remembered as a “composer, musician par excellence”. Talent Taylor, the eldest of nine children, was born in Pembroke East to Rhoda and Ainsworth Bascome, and raised as a member of St Paul AME Church. Her mother was a musician. Taylor’s musical talent emerged early in her childhood and she nurtured it all her life. She took her first piano lesson at age 3 and composed her first song when she was 12. Taylor attended the Berkeley Institute, a member of the Class of 1914. The record is silent on her growing-up years and early adulthood in Bermuda, but she is said to have played piano for silent movies. Her talent caught the attention of a US film company, which offered her a job touring the States. But she had to turn down the offer because her deeply religious father did not approve of movies. Motherhood In June 1923, at age 26, she sailed to New York aboard the Fort Victoria with the goal of furthering her studies at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, but marriage and motherhood intervened. She married Richard Cummings in 1925. The couple set up home in Brooklyn, New York, and had two children, Gloria and Richard. In the 1930s, Taylor opened a music school, where Richard Cummings also taught. Their children were among their students. Taylor’s school was later known as MBC Music Studio. She presented annual recitals and also established a scholarship fund for promising music students. Her sister, Thyra, a well-known pianist and music teacher in Bermuda, taught at the school during the 1950s. Taylor became a choir director shortly after her move to New York. She served for a year at Friendship Baptist Church, followed by 14 years at Newman Memorial Church. Her longest period of service was at Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she was choir director — the position later became known as minister of music — for 45 years until her death at age 87. At Cornerstone, she led a 50-voice choir, and taught voice and piano to many of its members, at her studio. Prestigious Taylor was a lifelong student of music, taking courses at such prestigious institutions as Columbia University in New York, Matlock College in England, Mozart University in Salzburg, Austria, and Fontainebleau Schools in France, where students were accepted by audition. Taylor was twice married. She divorced her first husband and married William Taylor in 1944. According to Taylor’s obituary, the two “shared teaching duties and church fellowship happily until his demise in 1972”. Although Brooklyn would become Taylor’s permanent home, Bermudians were kept abreast of her achievements, usually through reports carried in the Bermuda Recorder. In August 1934, four of her original songs were performed at a Festival of Negro Music held at the Opera House in commemoration of the abolition of slavery. Taylor wrote many songs during her lifetime and was a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. In July 1935, the Recorder reported from New York on a recital at her school. In September 1956, the Recorder published an article about Taylor’s sister, Thyra, who had recently returned to Bermuda after four years’ residence in New York. Taylor’s MBC Studio was a thriving enterprise with six pianos, according to the article. Classes were held from morning to night. Taylor’s husband, William Taylor, taught piano and her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Frederick Dennard, taught voice at the studio. Thyra Bascome also taught there. In 1972, the Recorder reported how Taylor was honoured by Cornerstone Church at a service on October 29 that saw four church choirs taking part and many of her original compositions on the programme. According to the article, Taylor had taught hundreds of students at her school, several of whom had risen to the top ranks in music. Professional Taylor died in 1984 and was buried at The Evergreens in New York after a “service of triumph” at Cornerstone. She was survived by her daughter and son, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She passed on her musical gifts to her children and several grandchildren. Her daughter, Gloria DeNard, a graduate of the Juilliard School and a singer, was founder and director of Manna House Workshops, a music school in East Harlem, New York. She died in 2020.Taylor’s grandsons, Richard Cummings and Kenwood Dennard, are professional musicians. Kenwood Dennard is also an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2006, Taylor was honoured posthumously with a Bermuda Arts Council Founders Award. Gloria DeNard accepted the award on her mother’s behalf and sang one of Taylor’s songs at the ceremony.
