Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Brothers Egg | Brothers Egg formed in 2015 in Wilmington, NC when brothers [a=Jamie Eggleston] and [a=Hunter Eggleston] teamed-up with [a=Suzanna Crist] to forge a vibrant, individual sound from their wide range of instruments and musical influences. Their music reflects an eclectic and driving blend of Roots Rock, Bluegrass, Country and World Music. Brothers Egg hatched after James spent time living in South Africa, where he honed his ear for African rhythms and melodies while traveling and surfing around the country. In the meantime, Hunter thru-hiked, solo the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail where he gained a newfound appreciation for American roots music and Appalachian bluegrass. The brothers returned home with new song ideas and a fresh approach to songwriting. Suzanna Crist was discovered by James at an open mic night at Grinders Café in Wilmington, NC. Upon hearing her sing and play, James decided to play some of his own songs and asked Suzanna if she would sit in on violin. A strong musical connection was felt, and a positive reaction from the room followed. Weekly jam sessions ensued and Suzi eventually accepted the brothers invitation to join the band. Contributing tasteful fiddle hooks and harmonies, Suzanna brings a unique musical element to the Brothers Egg. James and Hunter's father, [a=David Eggleston] played drums and recorded with some infamous R&B and rock bands out of Richmond, VA in the 1980’s and now frequently joins his kids on stage behind the drum kit. [a=Jimmy Thompson (8)] was spotted in Raleigh, NC while playing bass with the alt. country outfit the [a=Debonzo Brothers]. James took note of his tasteful playing, and when the band relocated to Raleigh, Jimmy was asked to join. A veteran of the Raleigh music scene, Jimmy's playing is unassuming yet packs with a punch.

Search | Add | 2 | Thomas Nast | Thomas Nast (September 27, 1840 – December 7, 1902) was a German-born American caricaturist and editorial cartoonist considered to be the "Father of the American Cartoon". He was the scourge of Democratic Representative "Boss" Tweed and the Tammany Hall Democratic party political machine. Among his notable works were the creation of the modern version of Santa Claus and the political symbol of the elephant for the Republican Party. Contrary to popular belief, Nast did not create Uncle Sam (the male personification of the American people), Columbia (the female personification of American values), or the Democratic donkey, though he did popularize these symbols through his artwork. Nast was associated with the magazine Harper's Weekly from 1859 to 1860 and from 1862 until 1886.

Search | Add | 2 | Victor Menace | Victor Menace | ‘Victor Menace’ is the instrumental brainchild of alternative composer and musician Ruth Theodore (Guardian ****/ MOJO****). Forming the band back in 2006, the sheer pace and infectious danceability, was an instant hit on the festival circuit and within a few years ‘Victor Menace’, fronted by Theodore on Violin and Alejandro Toledo (The Magic Tombolinos) on sax, was headlining the world music stages at Bestival, Hackney WickED, and Glastonbury’s Shangri-La stage. Soon after the release of their self titled debut record, the band sadly split as key members moved overseas and Theodore went on to release a further three acclaimed solo records. But at 3am on New Years Eve 2016, she declared war once more and reformed the band, with the original bassist and fellow composer Mike Limmer (La Chula), Lucien Windrich (eVoid) on acoustic, Haruna Komatsu (No Cars) on Clarinet and Sax, Luke Upperton (Ska-prest) on lead electric, and Arturs Reirs (Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges / Steve Nimmo Trio) on drums. Remembered for their infamously energetic live shows the band were instantly asked back to Bestival 2016 and are now on the rampage. |

Search | Add | 2 | Gang Is Alles | It is the autumn of 1993, one of the Ameland village festivals is in full swing. And sometimes you don't need much more than that, a beer and a chat in a marquee, to come up with the best ideas. For example, the idea of starting a new band. The plans that were carefully drawn up in that autumn still need some time to mature, but in 1994 Taryadi Boelens and Daniël Metz founded 'Gang is Alles'. The Amelander band also consists of Martijn Boelens and Heru Metz. The fast repertoire with many own songs, the sounds from an old, dusty accordion by Daniël and the high party level mean that the link with the music of Rowwen Hèze is quickly established. It brings the boys to stages in various halls, tents and bars. First on the island, but not much later, performances ashore are increasingly the rule rather than the exception. The popularity of Rowwen Hèze rises to great heights and Gang is Alles is regularly impresses the band at concerts, because not much later they are asked to play support act for the Limburgers. It will be a great success, resulting in even more performances and special requests. In this way they also end up in the support act for Jovink and the Voederbietels. After seven years full of highlights, including their own album, Martijn and Heru decide to leave the band. Their successors are Gerjan den Hartogh and William Beijaard. They are rapidly being prepared (because corridor is everything) for big performances. With the arrival of the new band members, the repertoire also gets a small metamorphosis. The Rowwen Hèze style is complemented by other genres. The result: more songs, more variety, but still performed in a unique way. The success continues unabated and the agenda of Gang is Alles remains busy. In the meantime, training courses are completed, new jobs are taken and sometimes even relocations to the mainland. The individual agendas are increasingly difficult to combine with those of the band and in 2008 it is decided to stop. Daniël, a stage animal pur sang, continues to perform together with William. From Hollum to Haarlem and from Buren to Broeksterwoude, the two crowds know how to sing along and celebrate. The accordion still plays an important role, now there is a whole arsenal in the cupboard. The only thing missing all these years is an official band name. Gang is Alles Because the statement 'Gang is Alles' still fits perfectly with the energetic performances full of sing-alongs and danceable songs, Daniël decides, with the approval of the former band members, to restore the old name in 2016. The composition may have changed, but Gang is Alles still provides one big party. And that will never change.
