Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Marvin Short | The youngest of four, Marvin was raised on a steady diet of country and rock ‘n’ roll music. His dad worked for a US Army munitions plant that was a 6-hour drive away, but performed on nights and weekends with his Country/Western band, Ken Short and the Drifters. “My Daddy made sure to call it Country AND Western,” Marvin said. As Marvin’s singing talent became more obvious, his dad put Marvin on the stage and let him front the band more and more. By the time Marvin was 10 years old, his dad got him gigs on morning TV shows in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and introduced him to the recording studio where he cut his first track on a record. At the age of 12, he won several honors including “Under 16 Male Vocalist Award” and the “Under 16 Male Instrumentalist” from the Oklahoma Opry Association. These days, he’s rockin’ and rollin’ with six of Sedona’s most talented musicians, 5 nights a week, in his own ‘Rock N Roll Dreams’ show at the Encore Theater Sedona. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Paula Lindberg | Paula Maria Lindberg-Lizell | Swedish opera singer (soprano), born Frödin, 25 January 1873 in Stockholm, died 12 January 1962 in Stockholm. She attended the French School in Stockholm. She was a student in singing for [a15474069] and Louise Pyk, and in drama and stage performance with Signe Hebbe and Charlotta Strandberg. She made her debut in 1893 at the Stockholm Opera as Matilda in William Tell and was then one of the leading sopranos there from 1893–1911. After having succeeded in such demanding roles as Guilmette in The Lawyer Pathelin and Margot in The Huguenots, she was then mostly given the big dramatic soprano parts, roles that, according to Eugène Fahlstedt in Nordisk Familjebok, she was able to handle “thanks to an appearance that was particularly suitable for young heroine roles, atmospheric action and intelligent singing style, although the high notes of the voice were exposed by the softness and charm that its lower registers possessed.” Among her roles are Margareta in Faust, Margareta-Helena in Mefistofeles, Valentine in The Huguenots, Senta in The Flying Dutchman, Sieglinde in The Valkyrie, Eva in The Mastersingers, Gudrun in Ragnarök, Santuzza in På Sicilien, Marta in Tiefland, Anna in The White Lady, Katarina in The Crown Jewels, Pamela in Fra Diavolo, Tatjana in Eugene Onegin, Ingeborg in The Taken in the Mountain, Teresia in The Witch's Trap, Gullväg in Tirfing and Signe in The Guild on Solhaug. After her career at the Opera, she taught plastic arts and lyric-dramatic role study privately and at Richard Andersson's music school. From 1922 to 1931, she was director of the Royal Swedish Opera's opera school. |

| Search | Add | 2 | UltraNothing | UltraNothing is a D.I.Y. post-punk band from Luxembourg, formed in 2023. After the disbanding of their former band Office of Weird, Mich and Mig asked Pit whether he’d like to join them on drums in a new, undefined band. After more than a year of creating material and tireless rehearsals, in July 2024 they recorded their debut EP at Holtz Sound Studio and had Julien Rosenberger (L’Autre Oreille Studio) master the 4 tracks. UltraNothing have nothing to add to the usual, standard litany of “punk” phrases and ideologies: of course, they are anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-sexist and anti-everything else that discriminates people, however, as they see it, punk slogans and phrases unfortunately didn’t leave much of a dent on the institutions and on the main causes of discrimination and suffering of people around the world during the past 50 years. Nevertheless, the trio are very much intent on grinding on ferociously and defiantly to the rhythm of modern fallacy in an empty ode to daily exhaustion, ennui, spleen and existential tiredness. It’s melanchopunk, it’s UltraNothing! | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Julio Venegas | Julio Venegas (3 April 1972, El Paso, Texas — 15 February 1996, ibid.) was an American musician, bassist, visual artist, and illustrator, best known as the close friend and early collaborator of [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala] and [a=Omar Rodriguez-Lopez]. (See Julio (left) with Cedric in the 2nd photo). He committed suicide at 24, which profoundly impacted both artists. They dedicated most of the [a=At The Drive-In]'s 1997 album [m=45442], particularly the song "Ebroglio," as well as [a=The Mars Volta]'s [m=9308] (2002) and the critically acclaimed debut album, [m=9154] (2003), to the life and death of Venegas. Most recently, in August 2016, [a=Omar Rodriguez-Lopez] used one of his drawings as the front cover of his [m=1611296] album. Venegas was born to a single mother, Maria Guadalupe Venegas (1926—1989), and grew up in El Paso, Texas, leading a tumultuous lifestyle since childhood. When his mother died, 17-year-old Julio made his first suicide attempt by overdosing on morphine; Venegas went into a coma instead, with his right side paralyzed after he woke up. Julio re-learned how to walk during the lengthy recovery, later again incapacitating his arm by further attempts to inject various chemical mixtures; Omar and Cedric jokingly called their friend "Frankenstein" for multiple scars over his body. Venegas introduced them to other genres besides punk and hardcore, with bands and artists like [a=Fela Kuti], [a=Magma (6)], and [a=Can]; he played bass in Cedric Bixler's band [a=Dregtones] while the co-founder and core bassist [a=Jimmy Hernandez] was away at school. Julio Venegas also drew the artwork for the group's demo tape [r=9335229] in 1994. (Dregtones dissolved later the same year after Hernandez died of cancer.) The exact circumstances of Julio's suicide are unclear; many sources claimed he jumped off a freeway overpass into the busy afternoon traffic, while others report Venegas took his life at home. According to subsequent interviews with Cedric and Omar, one of the main reasons behind Julio's tragic decision was bullying and tormenting from [a=Ben Rodriguez], a temporary guitarist and backing vocalist with [a=At The Drive-In] in 1996–97 (who briefly replaced [a=Jim Ward] on [r=1332686] EP, the first record where [a=Omar Rodriguez-Lopez] switched to guitar and new members [a=Paul Hinojos] and [a=Tony Hajjar] joined). Bixler-Zavala and Omar-Rodriguez described Ben as a "sociopath," and he was kicked out of the band shortly after. In 2002, when Omar and Cedric released the [m=9308], a debut release by their new band [a=The Mars Volta], one of the songs, "Concertina," revisited these tragic events. The group's debut full-length album, [m=9154], which came out in June 2003, was based on a "Cerpin Taxt" short story by [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala] and Jeremy M. Ward — a fictionalized and dramatized version of Julio Venegas life and tragic demise. (Ward died from a heroin overdose in May 2003, weeks before the album's release.) | |
