Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Daniel Pea | Dániel Pintér | He was born in Hungary on the 6th of may, in 1986. At the age of 7 his mother decided, to matriculate him to the music school of Nagykanizsa, where he learnt to play the piano for 6 years. In 1998 his friend showed him a PC program called Fast Tracker II. That was the time, when he started to listen and produce electronic music (especially trance music). As the PC’s were developed, higher quality sounds, and softwares became available to use. In 2007 he sent his track (produced with his friend) to international trance labels. That was the time, when Tranzident, and the Sonar-Eclipse Recordings became interested in his music. Meanwhile he goes to the University Of West Hungary too, in Sopron. At the end of 2008 he started to produce electronical hiphop break and drum&bass music under the name D.D.F. (Dan da Funk). In 2009 Fankadeli (Ferenc Kőházy) gave him acapellas from his amazing rap songs. |

Search | Add | 2 | Ex Vegas | Alternative rock band from New Brunswick N.J. Original lineup was Alex Saville (guitar), Amy Jacob (vocals), Thierry Bonnaire (guitar), Richard Sternin (drums) and George Vlahogiannis (bass) This was the lineup behind both of Ex-Vegas' singles, Thin Across/1993 and Hydrostatic/Trepid. Vlahogiannis was replaced on bass by the talented Jim Halsey. This was the lineup during the near-entirety of Ex-Vegas performing career. After Richard Sternin left the band to start a career in New York, Amy and Alex kicked out Bonnaire. This caused apparently caused a rift with Jim Halsey, who was not consulted. Halsey summarily left Ex Vegas soon thereafter. This picture shown of the band is not Ex Vegas. It is Alex and Amy and some other people, but not Bonnaire, Halsey, or Sternin. Following Sternin's departure, Bonnaire's removal, and Halsey's exit, Ex Vegas had a few different permutations, with Saville and Jacobs (now married to Saville) eventually starting Prosolar Mechanics instead of hanging on to the Ex Vegas name. Search | Add | 2 | Spiritual Friendship | In 2005 [a=Gareth Jones] was hired to mix an album by [a=Men, Women & Children], a group that [a=Nick Hook (3)] was playing keyboards in at the time. Connecting over a shared love of synths and the simple fact that they were the only two non-musicians in the room, Jones and Hook struck up a friendship. Nearly a decade after their first meeting, the two finally decided to get in the studio together, in late 2014. Guided by a simple premise—no judgement—and a whole lot of psychedelic adventuring, the pair went to work, letting their unconscious lead the way as they pieced together a complex suite of field recordings and modular synth transmissions.

Search | Add | 2 | Bozon | Bozon | From the CD packaging: The band heard on this CD was Bozon in its final incarnation. Bozon began in the late seventies forging a unique form of jazz-rock in a rehearsal studio (”the space”) behind the Dharma Submarine Shop near the nexus of Market and Van Ness streets in San Francisco. Countless long days and late nights were spent working on complex original compositions that often featured an anarchic sense of humor and “odd” time signatures (with no regard, indeed a disdain for the monotony of the four-four disco beat so prevalent at the time). The diversity of the players’ backgrounds brought a large palette of influences into the mix. Sometimes, this created an overly complicated gumbo of confusion (both for the players and listeners). However, when things did go right, the results could be surprising and sublime. Bozon played a modest succession of rather eccentric parties and gigs, but it was hard to duplicate their sound out of the space. As disco gave way to punk, the handwriting was easy enough to read. The group disbanded in late 1980/early 1981. The bulk of this CD was originally recorded in 1980 in the space on a couple of Teac 40-4 tape decks and the sound quality was pretty dismal. Almost three decades later this material was transferred into the digital realm (none too soon, as the tape was disintegrating) and, in a laborious process, cleaned up. Two of the pieces were originally recorded in 16 and 24 track analog studios and were also moved into Pro Tools for editing. The goal wasn’t to “re-do” the music, but to improve the sonic quality and present some lost work from an unknown band. |

Search | Add | 2 | Babel Ruiz | Compositora, vocalista, escritora, actriz vocal y guionista. Polyhedral artist with a whole professional life behind her, who began in music as a sessionist for great national pop figures, among whom the singer Raphael stands out, and culminated with the leadership of her own project, in a very personal fusion between jazz and the world music. Today, after thirty years of activity on stage, she is evolving towards other narrative territories as a vocal actress, screenwriter and composer.
