Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Aleksandra Kabakova | Aleksandra Kabakova | Aleksandra Kabakova is an artist from St Petersburg, Russia. Since 2008 working on worldwide commissions, including book and magazine illustrations, greeting cards, CD covers etc. "Working primarily with pen, ink, pencil and watercolour, the sensitive, young creative’s art is both simplistic and involved – utilising basic shapes and line work to create patterned, black and white graphic works. At times her imagery feels melancholic but devoid of cynicism, then carefree & playful whilst always distinctly feminine and delicate". James Watkins "In my works I would like to show an emotional perception of a glimpse of a life span, its mood and atmosphere. It can be an emotional splash or a total quietness and melancholy, when the wind has abated and all around has stood. I believe that not only people have emotions, but also all the things around us. Slow movement of clouds, shades of trees, soaring of birds, falling of a raindrop, old boats, houses, street lights, electric mains, branches of trees, snag trees and blades of grass create their own special mood of the moment. We can feel their loneliness, sadness, expectation and hope that fleeting mood of a moment which I want to capture. Frequent subjects of my works are trees and a floral subject matter in general. Trees for me are similar to people, as unique, mysterious and beautiful, as people with their individual characters and specific features. Also I adore drawing birds, I love them since my childhood. I remember a story when my cousin and me have found a rook with a broken wing in the snow. The bird lived with us in the apartment until it completely recovered and was able to fly away. Birds are absolutely astonishing creatures, nobody has got feathers but them, and their feathers are so light and fragile, like petals of flowers. They soar freely above the earth seeing our world from a bird’s eye view". Aleksandra Kabakov For inquiries please contact me: aleksandra.kabakova@gmail.com www.kabakova.com |

The author has also had his articles, essays and interviews published in the two biggest Brazilian newspapers, O Estado de São Paulo and Folha de São Paulo, as well as in music magazines such as Bizz, Rolling Stone, Rock Brigade and Roadie Crew. As a presenter, he worked with Gastão Moreira and Edgard Piccoli on the Heavy Lero show. As a lecturer, mediator and curator he takes part in many musical events throughout Brazil and South America. As a reporter, he has covered festivals, shows and musical events in the U.S., Europe, and several Latin American countries. In 2016 he released his first book, Lindo Sonho Delirante: 100 psychedelic records from Brazil (1968-1975), published in Portuguese and English, and sold in more than 40 countries. He also released two more books from LSD book series: Lindo Sonho Delirante vol. 2: 100 daring records from Brazil (1976-1985) and Lindo Sonho Delirante vol. 3: 100 fearless records from Brazil (1986-2000).

His work is distinguished by a unique mixing style, unexpected blending of songs and an unusually wide range of tempo in one program. Martmixes are extremely well arranged, the job is done in the distinctive Dutch mega-mixing style: a kicker-intro (usually a vocoder) and an eclectic selection of favorite songs of the year. Martin was among the first mixers in Holland who used a PC and Cool Edit ™ software, and as the result of his innovations he is able to compile very stylish, suave and delightful mixes. Martin also recorded a very successful commercial mix for Hypersound Productions, the company headed by Humphrey Robertson (a composer / producer from Switzerland known for his work with Cyber People, Digitronic, Private Movies, Sharon, Veronique etc.).

| Search | Add | 4 | Dave Dri | David Ryan | An Australian producer and musician that founded the live electronic music act Segue, and previously a member of the live breaks act Superfluid at the time of the band's debut and subsequent tours. The experience was educational and indicative of the era, with Superfluid signing to the Creative Vibes label at the peak of the label's powers, ensuring a steady stream of radio play and high demand for both club and rave shows. The latter pulling the band further from the plunderphonic sounds of the initial album, a product of a small and collaborative community of sample-heavy producers including The Avalanches and label mates PNAU and Gotye. Superfluid would ultimately move into the harder Breaks and Nuskool Breaks sounds, switching Ryan on to the opportunity to branch out and pursue the more Acid House era sounds of an 80's child, the common influences of childhood Kraftwerk to teenage Chemical Brothers. Outside of Segue's experiences as a live electronic act, David Ryan was a guest keyboard and touring member of the bands D-KO, Silent Shadow, and Statler & Waldorf, as well as occasional solo tours, such as an unexpected invitation to perform at Exit Fest in Serbia in 2004. An unmissable opportunity that arose as a result of sampling Slavic folk songs in one of Superfluid's releases on the Creative Vibes label. The experience in the region not so long after the Balkan wars, immersed into communities connected to his Australian friends who had left as refugees from the conflict, proved immensely moving, and resulted in a highly creative period upon return. Off the stage, Ryan studied sound design and synthesis, and increasingly focused on the technology side of the industry, joining open source company Red Hat, before spinning out a publishing technology project as a tech founder and settling into San Francisco. Now back in Australia after the pandemic reset, Ryan has established a fund to begin collecting and archiving the stories and gear from Australia's early electronic music community, and is supportive of the next generation of makers and culture creators coming through Australia's creative community. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Ugly Bluz | Swiss rock-jazz group. Established in 1984 as a blues duo by vocalist and blues harp player [a=Sleepy Dan] with the Czech guitarist [a=Lukáš Machata]. Initially performed mostly blues cover versions as “The Ugly Blues Connection” with guest players. Merged with the parallel jazz-rock project “Rat Tomago” in Autumn 1985, becoming “Ugly Bluz Connected” and resulting in a gradual style shift to free funk and ‘punk-jazz’. Adopted an unusual group naming scheme in early 1986: the attribute “…ected” was changed for every individual live performance or release, often being a commentary of the respective event. Among these names were: Ugly Bluz Injected, Erected, Intellected, Selected, Suspected, Infected, and many more (see ANVs). Disbanded in October 1988. Members: Daniel “Sleepy Dan” Boemle (vocals, blues harp, trombone), Lukáš Machata (guitar, vocals), Joel Kaiser (bass guitar), Roman Gondolán (drums, 1984–1985), Martin Pensa (keyboards, 1985), Christian Wolfarth (drums, 1985), Gitta Kahle (tenor saxophone, 1985–1986), Therese Allemann (alto & soprano saxophone, 1986), Andi Hug (drums, 1986–1988), Christian Brantschen (keyboards, 1986–1988), Tinu Schneider (trumpet, 1986–1988), Christian Germann (tenor saxophone, 1986–1988).

| Search | Add | 4 | Bent Roads Tavern | Bent Roads Tavern | Bent Roads Tavern (BRT) is a Canadian Indie Folk collective based in Calgary, Alberta. We started as a folk-roots jam band in the early 2000s. The 1938 film, “The Adventures of Robin Hood” inspired our name. The usurped King of England returns from overseas and takes shelter at “Kent Road Tavern”. There, he learns of Robin Hood’s support of his return to the throne. The Olde English writing on the sign looks (to us) like “Bent Roads Tavern”. We like the connection of Robin Hood with social justice and equality. We think of our music as the atmosphere in a refuge on a mountain pass – safe and warm from the howling winds along life’s endlessly bending road. Drawing inspiration from Robin Hood’s theme of fairness and equality, our music offers a bold commentary on modern life. A&R Factory says, "if you could imagine how Lou Barlow's (Dinosaur Jr.) vocals would resonate over a mesmerizing contemporary folk melody, you'll get an idea of the stinging evocative potency which will permeate when you hit play,” Recording technology has changed a lot over the 18 years since we started recording. We wanted to re-record our songs for you using the latest in sound quality. Check out our re-released music "The Legend of Bent Roads Tavern.” We’re recording new music now and look forward to sharing it with you in 2021. We believe the cornerstone of Bent Roads Tavern is an enduring togetherness amongst our fans and minstrels. The music fosters sharing stories around the metaphorical fire. Step into the Tavern day or night, rain, snow, or shine. |

I'm trying to capture the soundtrack to the movies in my head - where words fail and pictures and sound form a new syntax. | Search | Add | 4 | Los Jemax | Los Jemax | Albert Puig, Andreu Ferreres, Joan Pujol, Miquel Griño and Xavier Amela, five friends from Barcelona, shared their talent to create Los Jemax in the mid-sixties. They played their own songs and covers of the bands they listened to the international radio stations, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, The Animals, Wilson Pickett… Their gigs in clubs and discotheques (San Carlos Club, Gogo, Peter’s Club…) were amazing and full of energy. They became a very popular band in their city, specially when they were the winners of a contest hosted by Radio Barcelona. The prize was a contract with Columbia to release two singles. They recorded four songs under the direction of José María Solá, the musical boss of the label. There were published three postcards to promote the upcoming 7”s. But all of them were never released because of intern changes in Columbia. Los Jemax played alongside Los Canarios, Lone Star, Los Sirex, Tete Montoliu, Palito Ortega, Micky y los Tonis… and in several TV commercials. With a repertoire of almost 100 songs that they recorded in the rehearsals at the attic of Joan’s family house, the tapes have been ketp in a drawer for 50 years. |
