Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Lost Fairy Realm | Born in 2015 as a side project to Black Mountains Chronicles, deals with ambient atmospheres and titles about the world of fairies. Originally the first compositions were thought to be parts for a new B.M.C.'s album, but the soundscapes of the full length were very far away from the B.M.C. tracks, so a new name has been thought. For L.F.R. sounds are more liquid and romantic, quiet reigns without noise attacks ... Also, some tracks are not as dark as usually you can expect from the creator. It is not clear if other albums shall see the light in the future.

Search | Add | 2 | The Ramplings | The Ramplings were a short lived, Staten Island (NYC) based band that was together from 1996-1997. The idea of the band was to go back to the early 60s bubblegum pop sound. The band consisted of relatively well known local glam rock musicians, but to conceal their identity, they performed under completely made up names. The band consisted of Joey D'Agostino (using the name Joseph Jamison) on vocals, Torii Wells (using the name Lance Grey) on guitar, Dennis Lords (using the name Darin Loch) on bass, and Nelson Pop (using the name Eddie Wilson) on drums. Torii Wells at that time was most known for being the guitarist in [a6373044] and Spiral Fetish. Dennis Lords and Nelson Pop were both from the band [a3727331]. The band first recorded and released a two song cd. Soon after they recorded six more songs, four of which were released in very limited numbers to friends on a cassette. The band planned to release a second cd featuring the four songs, but they never did so. The other two songs from those sessions, "Oh Girl" and "Can't Stop Falling In Love With You" remain unreleased.

This is the time when he scoured the clubs of Abidjan with his group, the Black Devils. He would later join Les Scorpions then Les Shafts, after having been known as a Ziglibithy dancer alongside Ernesto Djédjé. In 1985, he appeared on stage at the Houphouët-Boigny stadium with zêzê-pop. He did not then experience the expected success. But from the 1990s, begins for the zêzê-pop, an important recognition. John Mayal becomes John Yalley. The name means "suffering" in Bété. Later John Yalley creates Les Kyffys (The Chefs), a transnational group and then takes the name of John Kyffys.
Search | Add | 2 | #0001 | Hans-Peter Fassbender / Thomas Kruesselmann | Behind the simple number combination #0001 hides the complete re-recording of Kraftwerk’s iconic album “Trans Europa Express” from 1977. For this purpose, the two Düsseldorf-based professional musicians Thomas Kruesselmann and Hans-Peter Fassbender have disassembled the original work into all its individual parts in forensic detail work, analyzed it and re-recorded it using modern recording technology. The result is a very balanced and faithful album with a refreshingly modern sound. The fact that this is a completely new recording is revealed above all by Thomas Kruesselmann’s voice: large-diaphragm microphones and tube amplifiers were used here, giving the sparsely used vocals precision, elegance and more presence. The album was analog mastered in Ballfinger Music’s new in-house studio in Krefeld, 20 kilometers north of Duesseldorf. |

Search | Add | 2 | Kristin Forbes | Kristin Forbes was born to be a musician. A distant relative of the composer Tchaikovsky, she has been playing music since she was three, when she heard a song on the radio, went to the family piano, and figured out how to play it. She started playing guitar in high school and in college, upon playing in her first band, realized that pursuing music was the life she had to live. She recorded and toured as a solo artist for years in Boston before moving to Washington, DC to play keys with The Travis Morrison Hellfighters (frontman of The Dismemberment Plan). It was in DC in 2005 that she met Olivia Mancini and picked up bass to play in her band, Olivia Mancini & The Mates, which she performed in faithfully for 15 years. She also went on to play bass in The Andalusians, who have a 7" on DC's seminal punk label, Dischord Records. Kristin now lives in Baltimore and has rediscovered her love for playing Jamaican music. Dubbed Lady Hatchet by her peers, Kristin is the fearless leader of The Scotch Bonnets, her punky reggae band that also serves as an outlet for her song-writing. Since their start in 2009, the Bonnets have released two full length albums (Live Ya Life, self-released in 2013 and Come On Over, released on Jump Up Records in 2019), an EP (Quest, released on Morphius Records in 2014), a 7" single (The District, released on Jump Up Records in 2017), and have tracks on numerous compilations. The band backed and recorded with HR, singer from Bad Brains, and twice toured backing Roddy Radiation, lead guitarist of The Specials. The band has toured regionally every year since 2014 and in 2019, they embarked on two cross country tours, once in February to open for American ska founders, The Toaters, and again in June to play the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival in Victoria, BC. Later that fall, they went out with The Toasters again for a southeast run. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, The Scotch Bonnets embarked on two successful all-outdoor Midwest tours in 2021 and 2022. Hatchet used to considers herself “the utility infielder” in Baltimore’s premiere ska-reggae band The Players Band because, since her start with them in 2008, she has sang, played guitar, bass, even keys when necessary! However, starting in 2023, Kristin has become the permanent bassist of the band as they head into the studio to record their fourth album. She also plays in the only all-female, roots-reggae crew, Strykers Posse: Sistren In Power. During the pandemic, she helped start Rude Girl Revue, an all-female all-star ska band that played headlining festival gigs around the US and UK in 2022, as well as playing festival highlight sets at the Supernova International Ska Festival in 2021 and 2023. In 2011, Kristin spent a month on the Vans Warped Tour playing with Angelo Moore, singers/saxophonist from Fishbone, and the songs they wrote during this collaboration were released in 2015 on the Japanese album Ska Do Au Ska Don't. Kristin spent time in 2013 in the band of NYC ska capo King Django, and in 2015 she filled in on guitar with NYC’s longtime Jamaican music stalwarts The Slackers on their European and Canadian tours. In 2018, she subbed for DC ska-soul hooligans, The Pietasters on keys and later traveled to Mexico to fill in with The Toasters for a week on bass. In 2022, Hatchet was The Slackers' first call to sub for them again on guitar. She also expanded her solo act, opening for The English Beat at the historic Birchmere club in Alexandria, VA, as well as touring Europe by herself, playing the Big One 20 Festival in the UK and travelling by train from city to city to play club gigs on the continent. In 2023, she ventured out by herself into the US, doing a tour to San Antonio, Texas to play Ska By Southwest. It was on this tour that Kristin played her first singer-songwriter showcase in Nashville to an enthusiastic response ("I feel like I just watched a masterclass in songwriting!" exclaimed one industry onlooker). She also did a solo tour of the Midwest, this time bringing her Rude Girl Revue bandmate Dunia Best (founder of 90s NYC ska pioneers, Agent 99) along for her first van tour. Subsequently, Kristin has occasionally been playing guitar in Best's project with her husband, Dunia & Aram. Kristin is proud to be endorsed by Reverend Guitars. Kristin has also started her 16th year teaching music lessons in the Washington DC-area. When filling out tax forms and loan applications, Kristin is very grateful to write "professional musician" on the occupation line.

Search | Add | 2 | Leda Zuniga | Leda Leonor Zuniga Rodezno | Maestra, declamadora y antólogista. |

Search | Add | 2 | Biomusique | Biomusique is the vehicle for percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Greg Ellis and siren/songwriter Lisbeth Scott. Some will be familiar with Ellis' work as a founding member of the sacred music duo Vas. Unlike Vas, which is rooted in more Middle Eastern and East-Indian rhythms and atmospheres, Biomusique's first effort, 'The 10,000 Steps,' is a polyfused hybrid of many styles that range from textured electronic ambience to atmospheric riffs on Celtic sound-stylings. The results are breathtaking. Scott's vocals resemble the non-local phrasings of Liz Fraser and Lisa Gerrard, toning, intoning, chanting, and singing, blending and bending a fluid vocabulary of vocalese. While Ellis moves surprisingly well out of his percussive comfort zone to play a number of other instruments such as trumpet, guitar, dulcimer, piano and, of course, a battery of drums and percussion.
