Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Cre•scen•do | From Los Angeles, California Cre·scen·do is the combination of passion, late dreamy-filled nights, and utter love for music. The band has been slowly coming together to it’s completed state since Gregory Cole [Guitarist and Singer] had other projects in the works and decided to take steps forward to revolutionize a new style and sound. It was with this realization that their path toward making their debut album began to unfold. Cre·scen·do formed through the help of John Glenn Kunkel of The New Division under the backdrop of Los Angeles, California. With this combination of talent, determination, and the occasional late-night out to talk about their lives, music, and desires, the band coined their style under the genre “DreamGaze”: a combination of Shoegaze and Dream-pop elements that encapsulate the entirety of the band – a group of individuals with a love for music, and a dream to further their lives with it. Cre•scen•do currently consists of Gregory Cole, Olive Kimoto, and Jess Krichelle. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Magnus Hjelte | Magnus Hjelte got into the world of electronic music in the beginning of the nineties. Inspired by the English and German techno scene, Magnus started together with his friend Mikael Persson the techno label G-Force records in 1995. At the same time Magnus bought his first music equipment and started to produce music. In the year 2000, Magnus Hjelte got his first dj-equipment, and began to play as a dj. This would be something that would take him deeper into the world of electronic music. The same year G-Force was transformed into the Backbone rhythm collective. A collective with a broader view on music, stretching from the house label Eloge, to the deep techno label Facets and the hard rhythm label GFR. During the summer 2001 Magnus will start a new techno label called 8th Army, a label that will release the darker and harder music from the late G-Force records. A number of new releases on different labels world wide, and cooperation with both Swedish and foreign artists will take both the 8th Army and Magnus as a dj, through the beginning of the new millennium. This won’t be the last words… | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Giedrius Zinkus | Giedrius Zinkus | DJ Zinkus, a.k.a. Giedrius Zinkus is a Lithuanian DJ, born on the 20th of August 1969. With a combination of different layers of pop and modern house music, Zinkus creates danceable music that perfectly fits the requirement of any contemporary event. In 1993 Zinkus launched a career as a professional DJ, which resulted in the acclaimed album ‘XX Amžiaus Mėsmalė’ (Twentieth century mincer) in 1995. An experimental release with electronic music that was strongly influenced with the modern classical genre. In 1999 Zinkus decided to take a step back from the music industry and explore other fields of interest. However, his passion for producing and entertaining kept lurking in his mind, and made him decide to realise a comeback in 2011. Older, wiser and with years of experience Zinkus is now producing danceable tracks on a continuous basis. Taking ultimate pop songs (e.g. Michael Jackson, George Michael) and turning them into unique and high-level house tunes. To create an exclusive and diverse vibe during live-performances, Zinkus mixes layers of Jazz, Orchestra, Folk, Middle East instruments and Actor speech into his tracks. A true artist with a high level of musical qualities, passion, and the ability to entertain a crowd; who operates according the principle ‘Party people may never be bored’! |

| Search | Add | 7 | Rigo Maldonado | Rigoberto Maldonado | I was born and raised in the small town of Rupert, Idaho. I spent some time living in Austin, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Nashville before settling in New York. I have had some amazing musical experiences throughout my life which include performing on the stages of the Grand Ole Opry and Radio City Music Hall as well as performing to a crowd of 10,000 people in Indianapolis, Indiana. Through my involvement with the renowned Christ Church Choir in Nashville, I was able to record and perform with the likes of Carman, Charlie Daniels, Kim Boyce, Dolly Parton and many others. I was also part of a couple of video shoots with Bill Gaither's Homecoming Series which are still seen on television to this day. My back-up vocalist experience had just started to pick up when I followed my heart and relocated to Long Island, New York. Music continued to be something that I was a part of while working with a couple of church choirs and a short stint in the wedding band industry. I was even a part of a dinner theater group for a short while. Here we are in 2020 and WOW!!! A lot of lives have been changed with the Covid-19 pandemic. Reevaluation of what's important and how I want to spend the next chapter of my life has definitely been brought to the forefront of my thinking. During a forced quarantine, Mark Chadwick and I decided to record some love songs from the past as well as 2 original songs. The result, Love's The Only Way, released on October 30, 2020. |

Good Luck Mountain is the name he's adopted for his new band as well as the name of the record; "seasoned players", he calls his new band mates, who include Konrad Meissner from The Silos (with whom Drew Glackin also played) and Matt Mays, once of The Guthries, but there's a host of other players on this album which features music that is carefully built - layers of sound that spring from some synthesiser atmospherics in the background and with changes of emphasis that are characterised by use of strings or horns.

While his activities were primarily associated with filmmaking, Dejan Vlaisavljević also composed soundtracks for his films and theatre plays. In the beginning, around 1987, he was the only member of the group, performing live several times as a one man band and occasionally with the help of video/sound artist Petar Milić. The concerts combined video and film screenings, live instrumental music and spoken word. During that time P.P. Nikt recorded the four cassettes. In 1989 Mirko Mikulić and Dragan Ve Ignjatović joined in making P.P. Nikt a trio that performed several times in Belgrade and Warsaw. Later on, in 1990 Dejan dropped the 'P.P.' in the band name as well as the two other band members, teamed up with longtime friend and a colleague [a=Igor Toholj] and produced an album called Amazing Flight Stories. Soon, in the wake of war in Yugoslavia, he relocated to Amsterdam where he remains until today, making movies and just occasionally composing music. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Heybale | The Band, the Myth, the Legend... Heybale! has been holding down Sunday nights at the Continental Club in Austin since 2000. In the current band incarnation, Tom Lewis is playing drums, Redd Volkaert holds court on guitar, Earl Poole Ball pounds out the piano, Kevin Smith plays bass, and Dallas Wayne plays rhythm guitar. With a constant stable of the town’s very best players, the sounds coming from the stage on any Sunday night bring in dancers, hipsters, late nighters and off-duty musicians. Ironically, the beginning of Heybale! was actually at the End -- a club in Nashville where the band played its first performance. The only “post-Nashville” members of the band at that time were Tom and Redd, although they did meet a country singer named Gary Claxton who had recently moved to Nashville from Oklahoma. In 2000, Tom decided to move to Austin where he ran into Earl – they had met previously at the Palomino in Hollywood nearly 10 years before then. Within that same year, Redd and Gary also relocated to Austin, and by June of that year Heybale! had been resurrected. Come on out and kick up your heels on Sunday nights at the Continental Club; you won't regret it. Enjoy! | |

| Search | Add | 7 | A Tree On A Hill | A tree standing lonely on a hill has been watching the passage of time for centuries A feeling of majesty and confidence, the connection with the sur-roundings and the tranquillity of nature. All these are the sources of inspiration for the tracks of A Tree On A Hill. A tree on a hill exudes a sense of majesty and confidence, a connection with the surroundings and the silence of nature. All of these are the sources of inspiration for the songs of "A Tree On A Hill". The composer consciously takes a step back and let the sounds work for him. Born in the early seventies, the sound artist was mainly influenced by New Wave, Synth Pop and New Romantic. The piano and the classical guitar were replaced by keyboard and sequencer at the end of the eighties. Around the turn of the millennium, he produced several pop songs with various artists. Since 2020, he has been producing, among other things, new age songs in his studio, which are released under the artist name "A Tree On A Hill" and have a strong connection to nature. The first EP released, "Lying Under Trees", conveys the feeling of sitting under trees and feeling the wind blowing through the branches and making the leaves whisper. Each of the four tracks is dedicated to a special group of trees. The EP "Mellow Waves", which was released in the same year, takes the element of water in its various forms as its theme. The basis is the water cycle, which is the origin of all life on earth. From the first drops from the cloudy sky, over streams and rivers to the wide open sea. With the first single "Red Flavia", and the second single "Purple Hydrangea", the beauty of the blossoms follows this year. The blaze of colour awakens when the sun hits the delicate petals after a spring thunderstorm. Each individual blossom is delicate, unique and beautiful. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Junior Holt | Garth Holt | Junior Holt, born Garth Holt, is the son of Reggae Legend John Holt and Yvonne Leslie. Junior was born in the Maxfield Ave area of Kingston 13 and then moved to the country side of jamaica with his Grandma Leslie at age 7. He attended the Maud Mack School in Westmoreland then moved back to Kingston at age 13, where he went to the Tarrant Secondary. Junior started to sing at age 15 but not on a professional level. His main inspiration was his Father and then Dennis Brown. It was the year 1988 at the time he went to Spanish Town to live with his mom.Shortly after he was then introduced to DJ Hammer MouthChronicle and Gary Minott who had the inexperienced artist sing on dubplates and sound systems such as, City Rock, Strike Force, Turbo Crown, Impression Disco, and the big champion sound, Killaman Jaro. Junior Holt’s name start to ring an alarm in St.Catherine Jamaica. The young Holt started to gain more confidence in the music so it was time to hit the road to Kingston. He was introduced by his Mom to producer Ski High from Tuff Gong, who recorded three singles with the young singer. They were released in 1988 and did well in Europe. He was working at the Epiphany night club in New Kingston every Thursday night, under the supervision of Bobsie Grange. He was doing opening acts for Tony Rebel, Mighty Diamonds and Jack Radics. In the year 1993, he ran into Youth Promotion Producer Lincoln (Sugar) Minott, who recorded 2 singles from the artist and released them in Europe. In that same year Junior came across DJ Skullman, who also recorded 2 singles with the young singer. Those 2 tunes did well on the local scene and earned the singer the privilege to perform on Border Clash 93, which was the singer's first major show. In 1994, Junior Holt was introduced to Bob Marley's daughter, Cedella from Tuff Gong Records, by singer Anthony Mattai. The singer was soon signed and started to work on tracks with musical wiz, Handel Tucker. Soon after he was introduced to Singing Canary Sanchez and gained more popularity singing on the champion sound Sexilus which is also owned by Sanchez, which played every Wednesday night at StandPipe Kingston Jamaica. That was a place where you would find most artist hanging out. In 1995 Junior migrated to the United States, where he was introduced to Sir Coxone Dodd by Ansel Meditations. He recorded 5 singles for the Studio One label and by February 1996, "Still In Love with You", was released in NYC and getting regular rotation on the airwaves. In 1996 Junior moved to Connecticut and met Richie Calbut Mcpherson, and recorded a few singles that were getting regular rotation on the local radio stations. In the year 2000 Junior Holt teamed with Richie Calbut and put a 5 piece band together which was called the Calbut Band. The band lead singer which was Junior Holt all did well with shows all over Connecticut and some boroughs in New York city. In 1997 Junior Holt and ace DJ Mellow under the guidance of Valri Dotty Allen, entered the Apollo Theatre in Harlem NYC with the hit song, "Sipping Champagne." They both came out a winner and the song was released in Hartford, CT. Junior Holt then met up with King BenjI, owner of Tronic One Records. They immediately went into production on his new album called 'Good Vibes". Everyone who hears the album says it is going to be a # 1 seller. Junior Holt is now currently recording with Wattage Label under the leadership of Courtney Johnson who is also Ceo for the company. Recording Artist Don Fyah Wyah Hines also plays a great role in the Artiste Career as his road manager by earning the singer a few reputable shows down in the western side of USA. Junior Holt plans for the future is to continue his father’s works by singing good music and still set the trend his father did. You will be hearing from Junior Holt. |

Don studied theater, was the main teacher and director of teacher training for Kundalini. Having 55 years of experience in yoga and sound, he teaches his own method called Gong Yoga, which is a set of regeneration and strengthening exercises. He is the creator of La Voie du Gong. Wandering around the world, he discovers for others the wonderful properties of the gong, which by its holistic resonance has a huge impact on the body, mind and soul. The sound therapies used to improve health, reduce stress and internal changes are currently disseminated by many participants in its seminars and workshops. The artist is also known for his peace activities. Each year, it organizes a concert of the Artists of the World. He describes his music as free and spiritual jazz. He is the founder and leader of the music group Mysterious Tremendum. In concert, in addition to gongs, he uses voice, shruti, shells and other ethnic instruments. The concerts - like the one presented on the album - are attended by guest musicians who accompany Don in musical improvisation. Don is also the initiator of the Bell Garden for Peace. These are areas of peace and calm in which space is organized according to ancient geomancy and geometry.

| Search | Add | 7 | Grim Mortality | Grim Mortality | Grim Mortality began its journey in 2002, although at the time, the duo of Hardluck and Sandman were known as "Headhuntaz." The group was in its early stages, cutting their teeth in the underground rap scene while honing their signature dark and ominous sound. During their time as Headhuntaz, they released their first CD, Still Creepin', which captured the raw, unfiltered energy of their early work and started to build a buzz for the duo. In 2005, the group underwent a transformation, rebranding themselves as Grim Mortality to better reflect the evolving themes of their music—grim, haunting, and steeped in vivid, often macabre storytelling. Under their new name, Grim Mortality released their second album, Improper Burial, a chilling and intense project that cemented their place in Seattle's underground hip-hop scene. Over the years, Grim Mortality continued to grow, releasing a series of albums that showcased their dark, introspective lyrics and hard-hitting beats. Their discography includes Grim Tales, Free 4 All, Dark Overcast, Afraid of the Dark, and Cutz from the Grave, each project adding to their legacy of eerie, hardcore rap. Their latest release, Macabre Mentality, represents the culmination of years of experience, highlighting their evolution as artists while staying true to the grim aesthetic that has defined their career. Through dedication and consistency, Grim Mortality has remained a pillar in the underground rap community, crafting music that explores themes of fear, darkness, and survival in a world that often feels as menacing as their lyrics. |

| Search | Add | 7 | The Infamous Arab | Chicago born Kid Heartbreak began his professional mixing career back in 1996 while still a teenager with his first mix tape titled "Chapter One". This was a freestyle medley as Kid had become very interested in freestyle music during his high school years, even though rap music was his first love. The success of his first couple mix tapes on the streets of Chicago inspired a situation where Kid was coming out with a new mix tape every month (freestyle or rap). By 1998, Kid Heartbreak had established himself as one of Chicago's most elite mix tape djs. After several years of networking and establishing connects with other artists, producers, and underground record labels, Kid was able to release a fully licensed album in 2003 featuring many tracks exclusive to that CD. There was also a 12" release from the CD, featuring full dj versions along with acapellas of 3 of the hottest tracks on the album. Kid is also the executive producer behind the Ill Clicks Militia, a rap group that he discovered during the mix tape years. Between the years of 1997 to 2004, Kid released over 30 different mix tape titles combining to sell over 70,000 units. The Chicago mix tape scene is now far subdued compared to what it once was, but Kid Heartbreak continues to do his thing. Kid has a master's degree in accounting as well as a CPA. Music and accounting together make up Kid Heartbreak's life. Kid Heartbreak had always wanted to spit his own freestyle song and earlier this year, completed this track "Thoughts of Her". This song is written and produced by Kid Heartbreak himself. He Passed Away In 2017 R.I.P. A Chicago Legend Forever | |

| Search | Add | 7 | The Better Way Quartet | Bluegrass Gospel Quartet Union County gospel group that started jamming about 1978, which included Jerry Cole, Sr., Bill Turner, Neal Walker, and Dannie Peters. Then they became known as Union Grass, a bluegrass and bluegrass gospel band. As Union Grass started singing southern gospel songs, their first singing engagement was at Oak Grove Church in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee. Nancy Cole came up with a new name for Union Grass, that would cover bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, southern gospel and country gospel. The new name was The Betterway Quartet. Expanded its booking area from East Tennessee to eventually include 10 states. Betterway now was booking larger churches and festivals, and appearing on Mull’s TV Show on Channel 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1982, Mull’s Gospel Show featuring Betterway played to a packed crowd at Horace Maynard High School at Maynardville, Tennessee, their home county. At this time, Shannon Walker became Betterway’s manager and their bookings greatly increased. They were performing at concerts with The Primitive Quartet, The Paynes, The Spencers, The Inspirations and The Cooks. They also performed regularly on WJBZ 96.3 that was Mull’s radio station. They performed on television in Indiana, Ohio and Bristol, Tennessee. They were also featured on Grant Turner’s Early Bird Show that aired at 5:45 a.m. Monday - Friday on WSM 650 AM radio station that was the home of the Grand Ole Opry on Friday and Saturday nights. They made videos with Eddie Crook Gospel Music Productions. They recorded albums, eight track tapes and later cassettes and CDs in Nashville. They performed at an Amish Festival in Pennsylvania along with The Primitive Quartet and others. Stuart Wyrick joined as singer, musician and bus driver around 1984 or 1985. The Betterway Quartet entertained for over 30 years. Here is a partial list of members of Betterway from 1978- 2014: Jerry Cole, Sr., Bill Turner, Neal Walker, Dannie Peters, Gale Lee, Stuart Wyrick, Shannon Walker- Manager, Paul Carter, Darrell Williams, Arnold Branton, Scott Payne, Vic Graves, Wade Brantley, Ronnie Kitts, Johnny Raley, Jonathan Brogan, Kenny Dryer, Jerry Cole, Jr., Savannah Cole Brogan (daughter of Jerry Cole, Sr.).D. Sumner and the Stamps, The Primitive Quartet, The Inspirations, The Sego Brothers and Naomi, The Cathedrals, The Isaacs, and The McCameys. For the three remaining original members there are good memories. For the rest of the living members of Betterway, there are dreams to resurrect the group and go forward. | |

His father was a farrier with his own business and in due time George too became a blacksmith. In 1912 he married Agnes Kemp, the sister of [a1173692], the King of the Cornkisters, and moved to Oldmeldrum in 1919 where the Kemp family ran a hotel business. During his time in Oldmeldrum he started performing and writing. By 1930 he came to the attention of the Beltona record label and during the following decade he recorded more than 40 pieces, either bothy ballads or cornkisters, for them, some of which he composed himself or in collaboration with Willie Kemp. His best-known composition, still popular in Northeast Scotland today, was A Pair o Nicky-tams but he wrote many others, the most notable of which were The Buchan Bobby, Aikey Brae and A New Lum Hat. Morris's Hotel is still open today in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeeenshire.
