Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Jonn Hawley | Jonn Hawley | House producer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Music and dance have always been driving forces in Jonn Hawley's life. At age nine Hawley learned to play the saxophone, cello, and stand up bass. As a teenager music continued to shape the course of Hawley's life; in the late eighties he began break dancing. In 1991 Jonn started actively pursuing his love of music as a deejay. Hawley drew inspiration from the budding house and techno music scenes in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit. His career as deejay was influenced by the sounds of brother Michael J and other deejays such as Derrick Carter, Ralphi Rosario, Mark Farina, Derrick May, and Green Velvet. Hawley's musical talents were quickly recognized. Along with playing at numerous raves he soon found himself playing at some of the most influential clubs in Chicago and Milwaukee. He was also named resident deejay at Milwaukees Summerfest in 1999. In 2000 Hawley decided to put together all the pieces of musical knowledge he had acquired throughout his life and dive into the world of production. In 2002 Hawley began releasing tracks using the aliases Under Origin and 5900 West. He also established Foundation 75, his production studio. Then in 2003 Hawley launched his label, Soul Fuel Recordings at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. Currently, Hawley is busy traveling to deejay, releasing tracks on his own, as the Sound Navigators, as Mr. Drobot, and as Organized Crime on various underground house labels and his own label Soul Fuel Recordings. Whether he is deejaying, producing, or running his label the one sure and unchanging characteristic of Hawley's style is this: He will never be ordinary... |

Search | Add | 7 | Marcus Whitted | Marcus Whitted | Marcus Whitted began discovering and experimenting with electronic music when listening to Sony Playstation game soundtracks. Marcus’ first inspirations were from bands like, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, and The Crystal Method, for Marcus they started it all. At age 13 Marcus started getting curious with instruments and keyboards. With his eye set on the Yamaha DJX keyboard, he dreamed of owning it and making music. Though he never got his keyboard, his dream never faded. Several years later Marcus was introduced to computer based music production. Marcus soon found himself fascinated with the ability to combine and layer sounds to create a whole new sound. Though surrounded by hip hop producers Marcus’ passion for electronic music remained. After gaining some confidence from the ridicule of his hip hop peers, Marcus dedicated himself to making “songs”. This then called him to learn the structure of music. After attending a music theory course, Marcus gained the knowledge he sought. In turn, the music theory course also introduced him to scales, chords, and other musical elements. Soon after, Marcus began hitting a creative wall. For the next 2 years Marcus continued to create music and soul search and by the end of this period Marcus needed a change of scenery. He then moved to Florida to attend college for professional recording and music business. Here Marcus expanded his knowledge of music, recording, and even DJing. This college experience was a game changer, from this point forward Marcus was more musically open and began creating on a new level and has not stopped since. Future steps for Marcus include pressing forward and making music a full time career. Marcus’ level of passion has not faded since his first song. He looks forward to learning more about the music business and perfecting his music, while collaborating with other artists and filling out a very passion filled, creative life. |

Search | Add | 7 | Hyper As Hell | Early 80's Ohio hardcore bands Plasma Alliance and Kein Krieg merged to form Hyper as Hell in the mid/late 80's. Crossover, thrash, Voivod, punk, and experimental bands of the time period were heavy influences. Pushing the limits, creating a "happening", and exploring new musical territory were accomplished. One of the most under- rated bands to escape regular music archival history, they were usually an opening act for any of the national touring acts of the punk scene. They came from a time when some visionary artists had no designs on "getting signed" or trying to get involved in the business aspect of music. In 2018 they were asked to reform and play a few shows, which they are doing, and will continue to do on a limited basis.. as well as having My Minds Eye records release a proper 2xLP discography of the 80's / 90's highlights.

Search | Add | 7 | Wreckless Opp. | US Heavy/Power Metal (early), Crossover (later) band from Sandusky, Ohio. Wreckless Opp. is short for Wreckless Opposition. The band used this abbreviated name on every release until the 1997 CD "Face to Face". This was the band's only release after the departure of founding guitarist [a=Cole Barton], and last release before their early 1998 dissolution. Formed in 1989 primarily as a cover band called Reckless Opposition (often shortened to Reckless Opp.). As they began writing original material they split with [a=Jim Buehrle] & [a=Shane Risk] (who then together formed [a=Big Risk]), added the "W" to the name, and released their first demo of original material in 1991. After a series of lineup changes (and an instrument change for founding-drummer turned singer [a=Dan Beidelschies]), they recorded their first full-length tape in 1996 shortly after recruiting second guitarist [a=Derek McGill]. After the release of this album, but before the end of 1996, founding guitarist [a=Cole Barton], drummer [a=Joe Stuckert] and McGill both left the band, and the band went on to record another album in 1997 after finding new members [a=Rob McDonald (3)] (Guitar) and [a=Brad DeHaven] (Drums). In early 1998 the group disbanded. When Barton and Stuckert left they were working on more new material, and it has been rumoured that the band many go back to the studio to record this new material in the future. In 2015 [a=Cole Barton] joined [a=Vatican (5)].

Search | Add | 7 | Inna Sense | Jimi Dred (lead vocals, keyboards), Prince Patrick (lead vocals, DJ), Icardo Richards (bass and vocals), Junior Richards (drums and vocals), Stevie Marco (Guitar). In 1987, using Philadelphia as a base, the band developed a nationwide following touring from California to New York with plenty of stops in between with occasional trips back home to Miami. By the mid 90's, they had established themselves as the hottest act in Philadelphia and broke the international scene with tours to Jamaica and Europe. Their recording "Always Something There To Remind Me" hit #5 on the Hawaiian charts and was soon followed by "Let Your Love Flow", "No Matter What Your Color", and "Book Of Rules" from their 1998 self-titled release. Although they continued to tour, the majority of their time was spent at home where they rocked SOBE crowds 5 nights a week on Ocean Drive at Mango's Tropical Cafe in Miami, Florida. Their third album "4:20 Rough" was released in 2000. In 2007 they released their fourth album titled "Anthology", which included the hit song "Top Of The Line". Through the rigors of touring, Inna Sense has not missed a beat since they started in 1987. Since 2007 Inna Sense has decided to transform their music with a new sound called "Rasta Rock". Playing for crowds up and down the east coast, the new genre has been a huge success.

Their rhythms and soundscapes of voices, obscure samples and distorted field-recordings build spaces of barren material and soft ground, which teem and crawl - strange and harmonious. To present their music live, Wælder are mixing analogue and digital effects with guitar, synthesizers, vocals and loops. Rhythms and atmospheres blur, dissolve and re-assemble. Their live shows are often framed by visuals, generated in collaboration with various visual artists.
