Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Henriqueta Duarte | Born in Porto União, Southern Brazil in 1928. She received her first piano lessons from her maternal grandmother, Dona Júlia Amazonas, a pianist of rare gifts. She was a student of Magdalena Tagliaferro in Rio de Janeiro for eight years. She studied at the Madrid Conservatory with José Cubilis and in Vienna with Richard Hauser, of the Akademie fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst. Among the chamber ensembles with which she has performed are the Mozarteum String Quartet from Salsburg and the Lindsay Quartet and Wind Quintet from Munich. She was a soloist with conductors Souza Lima, Belardi, Peracci, Karabtchewski and Schnorrenberg. As a pianist and lecturer, Henriqueta has performed in Brazil, Europe and the United States. Upon returning from her studies in Europe, she married engineer Eduardo Garcez Duarte and the couple helped to create Pró-Música de Curitiba, on April 4, 1963, with Henriqueta being its vice president in the first term. In December 1964, the International Music Courses and Festivals of Paraná were launched, with the support of the State government and, later, of the city hall of Curitiba - a project that is still carried out and considered as a heritage of the arts in Paraná State. The couple's work is considered by Henriqueta to be her legacy to the culture of Paraná. On November 26, 1997, the mayor of União da Vitória, Pedro Ivo Ilkiv, granted her the title of Benevolent Citizen of the city. APL Honorary Membership was received on April 17, 2017. Henriqueta passed away on August 3, 2020.

His passion for music began at an early age and led him to be part of three groups successively, Los Sonámbulos, Los Sinners and Naftalina, the latter considered an "icon" of Mexican rock, and also composed a song for the soundtrack of the film Simon of the Desert (1965) by Luis Buñuel. As a cartoonist and painter, his work has been disseminated in newspapers and books and has exhibited nationally and internationally.

Search | Add | 2 | Anton Banks | Anton Banks | Anton Banks became exposed to techno and independent music during his time at University and soon began collecting rave and house records. Anton was quickly drawn to the local college radio stations since they were always playing the newest music. He got his first show in 1996 and was instantly hooked. Through his involvement with the station, Anton met other people with similar interests and ties to local party promoters. Anton got his first residency at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT (1996 to 97). Since then, Anton has played at numerous venues around the northeastern US, Chicago, and Montreal. His main focus has remained his radio show though. Anton’s program, called ‘The Vault’, has now been on the air for over 15 years. The show features the latest music and has exposed numerous international artists to his native Connecticut. |

Search | Add | 2 | Aligned Moon Project | Jeff Butterfield | Solo project of Jeff Butterfield. Jeff, the human behind Aligned Moon Project, hasn’t always been this way. He has discovered, as so many others have, that despite such an otherwise normal existence, he, in fact, is not. After his normal college education, he deposited his last normal check from his normal corporate job. He’s abandoned his normal everything for everything but, and wants to give you something not so normal. He awakes now to the sounds that he's created during his sleepless nights. His mind, fueled by his experiences and imagination sees itself pressed and etched in an endless orbit of black plastic. He has traded in his normal existence for more room to think in downtown Tokyo, where he currently lives. His ideas will wrap themselves around you as you play the whole album of life. From beginning to end, from your heart to the outer rings of the record's solar system, he being it's sun, is about to take to you to that distant place that you’ve dreamt of escaping to. When you close your eyes, it’s the place you would know by sound but have never heard. |

Search | Add | 2 | Mixed Practice | Mixed Practice consisted of 3 members, Eclipse (later known as 427), Prop and Flex. Prop and Eclipse were two smooth cats from East Palo Alto by way of Hayward and Union City, respectively. Flex was a transplant from Brooklyn, bringing that timbs-n-hoodie style to the table, crafting a west-meets-east flavor that the Bay seemed to really embrace. Eclipse (Walt) did all the production (ASR10, natch). They recorded and performed on the Bay Area underground circuit from around 1993 – 1996, and then broke up. They recorded "The Homegrown EP" tape in 1995, and had some 4-track material circulating prior to that. Originally the group had one other member who left the group early on called Stiz. After the group broke up Prop and Eclipse both went into the music industry, the latter taking up management of Planet Asia and Jake One among others and the former focusing on local party promotions.

Search | Add | 2 | Simbad Segui | Simbad Segui | Born and raised in Paris, where his reggae-dub roots were fed with hip hop through years of graffiti raids, and with techno and house after listening to Laurent Garnier, at 17 Simbad Segui chose the city of Cordoba to call it home. Since 1996 he started djing at clubs and cultural events. Tightly linked to the development of the local electronic music scene, in 1998 he co-organized a series of interdisciplinary events called Mundo-Mix, one of them taking place at the Contemporary Art Center of Cordoba. Many clubs from Buenos Aires gradually began to demand Simbad on the turntables. After his debut in the world famous Clubland nights at Pacha, his visits to the capital city of Argentina suddenly multiplied. Apart from playing at every local Creamfields edition, he"s also played big events such as Brahma Beats, 1Live! and SonarSound Buenos Aires 2006 featuring Isolee and Warp"s Plaid, among other artists. His talent often jumps abroad: he played many gigs in Mexico, Uruguay, Brazil and France. Through the Dialogo Beat collective formed by visual artists, writers and musicians, Simbad has programmed and played different events with such guests as fellow Canadian artist Mike Shannon. To his regular commitments around Cordoba, and the whole country, he adds two monthly residencies at Peek-a-boo and Lokitas, where he"s played with the likes of Phil Stumpf, Someone Else and Serafin. His best selections can also be enjoyed in Buenos Aires: monthly at the Soup night at Bahrein club, with dj friends Carlos Alfonsin and Cristobal Paz |

Search | Add | 2 | Mauro Bolognini | Mauro Bolognini (28 June 1922 - 14 May 2001) was an Italian film director of literate sensibility, known for masterful handling of period subject matter. Mauro Bolognini was born in Pistoia, Tuscany. A former architectural student, Bolognini began his film career as an assistant to director Luigi Zampa in Italy, and directors Yves Allegret and Jean Delannoy in France. He began directing his own feature films in the mid 1950s, and had his first international success with Gli innamorati ("Wild Love"). His other notable films of the 1950s and early 1960s include Giovani mariti ("Young Husbands"), La notte brava, La giornata balorda ("From a Roman Balcony"), and the Marcello Mastroianni-Claudia Cardinale starrer Il bell'Antonio (arguably his masterpiece), all written by Pier Paolo Pasolini. Parting professionally with Pasolini in 1961, Bolognini went on to direct two sensual love stories starring Cardinale, La Viaccia and Senilità, before turning his talents to a series of international anthology films, including Le bambole (The Dolls), I tre volti ("Three Faces of a Woman"), Le fate ("The Queens") and Le streghe (The Witches).

Search | Add | 2 | Aileé Zaga | Aileé Guerra Aréizaga | Aileé Zaga [I-leh Saga] is an independent artist, songwriter, and music producer based in British Columbia, Canada. Her sound is influenced by a wide spectrum of genres, ranging from classical music and various sub-genres of rock and metal to electronic music. She creates a balance between memorable pop melodies and experimental sounds and structures. Industrial and glitch-infused beats enveloped in ethereal soundscapes are a staple of her productions. Somber guitars often juxtapose with dreamy vocal harmonies, all fused in an intricate blend of styles that accompanies her mezzo-soprano vocals. Her contemplative lyrics frequently explore the topics of life, love, and death through the lens of her experiences as a woman and an immigrant. |
