Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Motorguts | Motorguts was conceived by former Angra/Shaman bass player Luis Mariutti and his friend with whom he played years ago in Firebox, guitarist Marcelo Araújo. The band came from the desire to make good music, with no commitment and free of labels. Investing in the creativity of drummer Rafael Rosa, they invited him to join the band and thus accelerate the process of creation. With some songs previously composed and upcoming new material, the musicians decided to promote a contest on the internet to choose the singer. The idea was to have access to talented, that they probably would not find through a "traditional selection." With this contest, they received materials from excellent musicians all over the world , but the one that most surprised them and had identification with the band was vocalist Fabio Colombini. Beyond his vocal power, he added a lot musically speaking, for being a great instrumentalist and lyricist. Produced by keyboardist Fabio Ribeiro and Ale Souza the band released their first official studio recording, the singles “Mercy” and “Motorguts”. This material preceded the release of their debut album SEVEN. SEVEN was released on December 21th 2012, supposedly the day of the end of the world.

Search | Add | 2 | Christian Fisting | Christian Fisting began in California’s over-populated Southbay shortly before the collapse of the world economy. While trapped working in a hostile retail environment Joe and Shawn managed their failing life-expectations and strained sanity by forming a band that united Joe’s love of power violence bands such as Spazz and Shawn’s rabid fascination with the pig fuck work extraordinaire of The Jesus Lizard. The guys worked on an initial cycle of songs for several years, eventually trimming the fat to record their self-produced debut 7” Market Correction. Time is sparse in the modern working class world and over the course of fleeting days off and non-existent weekends Joe and Shawn have finally begun work on their next song cycle. Live shows coming soon to a dive bar near you.

Search | Add | 2 | Beverly Fresh | Zack Ostrowski | BEVERLY FRESH (Zack Ostrowski) is a contemporary artist and musician from the United States of America. He has broken several World Records; including breaking the most eggs on his head and compiling the tallest stack of rap tapes. Beverly Fresh has exhibited and performed throughout the United States and internationally, including China, Japan, Peru, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, France and Germany. Recent notable exhibitions and performances include, REALLY SOMETHIN ELSE (2018), a solo exhibition at the DePaul Art Museum, MR MDWST - A REAL GOOD TIME (2015), a solo exhibition at the Cranbrook Museum of Art, TAKE THE BACK ROADS AND COLLECT MYSELF (2014) a solo exhibition at the Pavillon am Milchhof (Berlin), and A Study in Midwestern Appropriation, curated by Michelle Grabner at the Hyde Park Art Center (2014). He is the co-founder of sUPERIORbelly (1998), a multi-media art and design collective and record label based in Detroit, and cofounder of WILD AMERICAN DOGS (2013), an interdisciplinary art duo focused on producing experimental feature films and performance. In 2016, he co-founded the Archive of Midwestern Culture with Greg Scott. His latest album PIES (2023) is an experimental hip-hop album produced by Detroit’s Blair French (Dial.81) on the Detroit/Chicago underground label SUPERIORBELLY. In 14 tracks, the vinyl-only record reinterprets several strange-monologues and acapella screamers from Beverly’s fifteen years spent traveling the backroads for his OUTSKIRTS performance series in which he survived a dynamite blast, disturbed a pancake breakfast, lost a demolition derby, and was crowned rooster crowing champion. Since releasing his 2011 off-kilter debut boom bap studio album BED, the self-proclaimed “neighborhood weirdo” has been busy performing in basements, backyards, country fairs and tent revivals, created multimedia exhibitions for major museums, made a feature film, and taught and lectured internationally. He is a member of the experimental rap duo prologo(purgatory) (est. 1996) currently on hiatus. |
