Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Jazzator | Jazzator is a Russian-Swiss quartet that has embarked upon an adventurous mission of blending chamber music and jazz, free improvisation and wild post-breakbeat grooving. The result is a powerful iconoclastic sound and an exciting action that takes place on stage. The band consists of a composer/pianist/singer Marina Sobyanina, a baritone sax player Oleg Mariakhin, a drummer Sergey Balashov and a bass player Maximilian Grossenbacher, who recently joined the band. The musicians have fun with complicated rhythmic structures and intense textures and at the same time don’t compromise the melodic beauty of their compositions. Original compositions by Marina Sobyanina get further enlivened by improvised acrobatics on the instruments and practical jokes that musicians play on each other and the audience.

Search | Add | 3 | Roland Friday | Roland Alphonso Cervantes Del Monte Friday, one of the all-conquering 'Kings of the Keys' during the organ heyday of mid to late-ish November 1979, acquired legendary status alongside such luminaries as Derek Moon, the Bobby Crushes, both snr and jnr, and the undisputed champion of all who have endeavoured to plink and/or plonk ever since. Sir Lesmond Dawson, nineteenth Duke (and later twelfth Duchess) of Barnsleydalemondwike. For the young Roland, it seemed the world was his lobster, but maintaining his jet-set organist lifestyle, being Europe's first £million per year male model, 'The Face of the Future - Today!', as well as undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion twelve years running, eventually took its toll. After being hospitalised due to breaking a fingernail on no fewer than one consecutive occasion during his near-legendary two-night tour of Cleckheaton in 1989, Roland shocked the world by calling time on his music career and after being stripped of his boxing titles when a random urine sample was found to contain dangerously high levels of both dandelion and burdock, he retired from all public life to run a small vole sanctuary in Sao Paolo. His music will, thankfully, live on, due in no small part to the 25,000+ Hammond organ instrumental versions of Bon Jovi's 'Living On A Prayer' he recorded in the final few days of his career.

Search | Add | 3 | Liam Gowing | The “fifth of four” kids born in Dallas, Texas to an ex-Army paratrooper father who blew out his eardrums during the Korean War and an opera singer mother with an excruciatingly accurate sense of pitch, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Liam Gowing definitely took after the latter parent when it came to making music. After teaching himself to play piano and guitar by ear at the age of 10, the precocious youngster started a cover band in the seventh grade with childhood friend Bob Musso, recorded a group album of original songs at the age of 17, and composed a rock opera before graduating high school. Passing up an opportunity to attend Stanford University on scholarship, Gowing enrolled at UCLA partly to be closer to the record labels and recording studios of Los Angeles, where he would gig occasionally with college bandmates, Matt Kropp and Chris Varosy. Upon graduating magna cum laude, he next weighed an invitation to attend the Top-5 University of Chicago Law School but instead decided to backpack around the world with his trusty $100 Epiphone acoustic. Inspired to write a slew of new songs after meeting the Dalai Lama and seeing Mount Everest on the trip, Gowing returned to LA determined to land a record deal. To that end, he began recording a 4-song demo ironically entitled “The Best Thing that Never Happened to Me.” The weekend he finished the project, however, he received the news that his mother had just been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. Thoroughly dejected, Gowing found shopping the demo during her 6-month illness to be a fool’s errand. And after another year or so of half-hearted solo acoustic shows followed by a stint as lead guitarist in a friend‘s “progadelic” jam band, he virtually hung up his guitar and concentrated instead on a burgeoning career in journalism. Writing variously for the LA Weekly, Filter, Paste, the N.M.E. and SPIN Magazine, which nominated his lengthy expose on the death of Elliott Smith for a 2005 ASME “Ellie” Award in Best Profile Writing, Gowing eventually became a city editor for the A.V. Club and thereafter a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times where he penned the notable recreation-and-adventure column, “Action Man,” and finally co-wrote and shopped a feature film script about one of the installments. In 2011, however, a chance encounter with fellow Bruin Jerry “Mr.” Pao, a turntablist in the hip-hop group 1000 Clowns, provided Gowing with an impetus to make music again. Pao, who needed “a place to crash” for a few months, offered to engineer a series of recording sessions in lieu of paying rent. Smitten, Gowing took the bait and after borrowing a bass and purloining a drum kit to complete his ramshackle “Purdizzy” home studio, became his own one-man-band. With Pao patiently overseeing the proceedings, Gowing painstakingly overdubbed guitar, bass, drums, piano, harmonica, tambourine, recorder and castanets, plus—through the magic of a MIDI keyboard—synth, organ, Rhodes, glockenspiel, steelpan, woodwinds, strings and horns to create the backing tracks to 10 new songs. After adding both lead and three- and four-part harmony vocals, Gowing collected the results in 2013 and issued them in the form of his debut solo album, Drunk Sluts Forever, mixed by yet another UCLA alumnus, guitarist Bill O’Neil. With O’Neil’s help, Gowing put together a backing band committed to playing a handful of live shows in advance of the album release party, which was a pleasant success. And yet, although the album garnered some positive reviews, culminating in KCSN program director Marc “Mookie” Kaczor declaring it to be “an instant indie rock classic,” Gowing’s efforts were hardly remunerative. With various DJs citing the “offensive” name of the album—undoubtedly unaware that the title track was a tongue-in-cheek tribute to a female friend who designed a line of T-shirts by the same name—Gowing’s efforts to expand the reach of the music via radio promotion fell flat. And unable to bankroll a longer-term supporting band on tour, he returned to freelance writing and began teaching the LSAT. Inspired by another female friend, Kim Huynh—a practicing Buddhist who, after declaring 2017 to be the year of her [metaphysical] death, decided to accomplish everything on her bucket list then and there—Gowing subsequently decided he needed to record the songs he’d written in the late 90s and early aughts in the aftermath of his mother’s death and the tragic suicide of his roommate, Josh McGinn. Doubling down on the concept, he decided to make it a double album with a second collection of more recent and “less haunted” material—all the best songs he hadn’t yet recorded. And thus, Mother Lode was born. Envisioning a number of epic productions with yet more strings, horns and “little symphonic movements” in some of the tracks, Gowing recognized that he needed to maroon himself somewhere remote, while taking a solemn vow not to return home until the project was complete. Impressed by his friend Liam Litchfield’s adventures teaching English in Beijing, he decided to move to Shanghai, China in the fall of 2017 to teach English Lit at “the MIT of the East,” Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Devoting his summer and winter breaks to arranging and recording over the following five years, Gowing completed 27 tracks in all. And returning to the USA in the summer of 2022, he asked a close friend who was uniquely qualified–Jon Griffin of LunaZen Studios–to mix 24 of the songs for inclusion on the release. Out on Gowing’s own imprint MojoSon, Mother Lode will be released through CDBaby — with digital distribution to iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, Napster and more — on November 15, 2022.

Search | Add | 3 | Jan Des Bouvrie | Jan des Bouvrie (born August 3, 1942 in Naarden) is a famous Dutch architect, interior & product designer. His own vision on design was developed at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, where he started his professional career. With his unique and progressive ideas the young Des Bouvrie has made a huge impact on the design world. His vision was further developed by working with several manufacturers, including Linteloo, Dutch Originals and Gelderland. The latter, in 1969, was the first to produce a design of Des Bouvrie's; the kubusbank sofa, which is now recognised as a design classic. The Shell collection has been specifically created for FueraDentro by Jan des Bouvrie, and is the first time that he has designed a collection of outdoor furniture (up until this time, he had designed lighting, wallpaper, window decorations and furniture). In 1993 Des Bouvrie moved his design studio to Bussum Naarden-Vesting. Together with his partner, Monique, he transformed the iconic 'Het Arsenaal' building into a leading interior design institute of unprecedented influence in the field of interior architecture and product development. Des Bouvrie not only creates furniture with attractive looks; his design ethos ensures that they are very comfortable too. Over the years, Jan des Bouvrie's designs have won many awards and distinctions, including the Culture Prize of 1974, the Style Prize in 1990 and the Furniture Prize in 1999. Des Bouvrie's vision is also clearly reflected in the numerous interior design books he has published. Jan des Bouvrie is also active as a distinguished lecturer at various design academies, as well as having design college being named after him (Jan des Bouvrie Academy, based in Deventer).

Ihre Debüt-Single I’m Gonna Make You Love Me beweist eindrucksvoll, welche grosse Musikalität in dieser Band ihnen steckt. Essential Fore is without a doubt THE melodic pop group from the alpine country; the Swiss artists who have been missing from the Swiss top league so far. With their honest manner they are cross-generational and reach old and young. Their songs are a mixture of ravishing uptemp numbers and beautiful ballads that almost compete with each other for the rank of potential single hits. Their debut single I'm Gonna Make You Love Me impressively proves the great musicality of this band. Their outstanding voices, so voluminous, sure and clear that they can playfully interpret any musical phrasing and their personalities, which couldn't be more inspiring: positive, cheerful, optimistic!

Search | Add | 3 | The Wabash Jazzmen | This highly entertaining hot five came together in 1994 with the desire to create a new sound on the traditional jazz scene. They chose to go drumless and the front line is driven along by the flowing banjo playing of leader Mark Challinor, accompanied by the rhythmic string bass of Richard Vernon - a real powerhouse rhythm section from the band's youngsters! The front line of Ged Hone on trumpet, Mike Hayler on clarinet/tenor sax and Mike Pembroke on trombone play superbly as one during ensemble work but also demonstrate their years of experience, producing engaging solos.
Search | Add | 3 | Deerborn | Deerborn is a new project on the danish music scene exploring the lines between folk rock and alt. country. The band consists of members from Odense and Copenhagen. With a background in bands like Rock Hard Power Spray and Ave, it is clear that we deal with musicians who have something on their minds and they know what it takes to get it through to the audience. Their sound leans towards old favourites like Neil Young, Pearl Jam and My Morning Jacket. With great melody pieces from both guitar, moog and violin they embrace a playful and very exciting universe all wrapped up a very distinct sound. The energy that shines through the band’s live concerts is rather unique and has a certain way of drawing in the listeners and taking them on a journey through the whole spectre of emotions. The debut album will be released February 19th, 2016.
