Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Hypnotic Kick | HYPNOTIC KICK was formed in July of 1994. The band started practicing in an old garage located at 38 Jefferson Ave., in Springfield's North End. From there came a couple of local bands and HYPNOTIC KICK was one of them. Since then HK emerged on the local and regional Western Mass scene. HK has grown in popularity, and still keep, each year, drawing lots of support. In October of '95 HK released their first demo entitled "FINALLY" on Sike Records, that sold over 500 copies. While planning for their next release, HK continued to play local and regional shows with such national acts as: KORN, MONSTER MAGNET, SEBASTION BACH, HELMET, PAW SBC, TREE, ANOTHER SOCIETY, STAIND, HANDSOM and countless others. HYPNOTIC KICK also had the opportunity to play the 1997 WARPED TOUR. Their second release "Trapped in a Music Box" was put out on CD by Sike Records December 6, 1998. HYPNOTIC KICK's heavy, emo-melodic, hard-core sound is unmistakably heard on their debut release recorded at the ROCK SHOP in Westfield. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Dave Dersham | "Marine” -- a particular descriptor of Dave Dersham's work, according to anti-folk artist, and occasional improv-slam poet, James O’Brien (NYC). Murky, cautionary tales of submerging archipelagos, the unfolding eco-dystopia, Samoan pigskin heroes, work-whimsy of grunt afternoons among the Western Massachusetts lowlands, where Dave spent his formative years and has remained, despite generally poor ski-quality snowpack and ever-increasing flood plain humidity, bound by the Holyoke Range and her seven sisters. Dave completed “The Burn of Summer” (2003) in Somerville, MA, with the engineering assist of Jabe Beyer, Tim Kelly, and Tom Eaton. They, and a generous crew of remarkable talent, somehow got it all together, enabling the album to enjoy regular airtime on Folk Radio’s WUMB (UMASS/Boston) WERS (Emerson College), and a finalist selection for Mountain Stage's Emerging Artist competition. “Gilding the Lilies” came out in 2011, recorded and accompanied by Lloyd Thayer and Jared Fiske. The 10 tunes were colored with lap steel, electric guitar, percussion, and keyboard. The work was distributed internationally. Dave Dersham is a sly humorist, cultural critic, and melancholy optimist. A groover of uncanny rhythm, muted chords, and open-hearted tenderness. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Yogoman Burning Band | Yogoman Burning Band | Yogoman Burning Band is an original Ska, Soul, Reggae, Rock, Pop, Americana, and Jam dance band from Bellingham, Washington. Yogoman was a comic penned by Seattle Tattoo artist Max Wallace in the late 80's. The comic strip featured a cartoon alien that was irreverent, anti-establishment, rebellious and fun. Wallace and his skateboarding friends used Yogoman as a mascot in Junior High and High School, tagging the Yogohead in different areas they skated in. Jordan Rain/Yogoman who grew up in Seattle and skated with Wallace and friends, many years later in 1999, asked if he could use Yogoman as his DJ moniker and Wallace gave him rights to use the image and title. In 2005, Rain started his dance band called Yogoman Burning Band. Lead singing drummer Jordan Rain leads his world class dance band through a vast repertoire of original music that incorporates many genres into Yogoman's unique gumbo - Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, RnB, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Latin, Rock and New Orleans music. Yogoman compels audiences to get up and dance with shout outs, sing a longs, and call and response lyrics, and noises, making it a fun and visceral experience for all ages. Rain has written, arranged and produced 5 albums with Yogoman Burning Band and 2 solo albums.Yogoman Burning Band has performed at major festivals and venues up and down the west coast to New Orleans, LA. Notable events include performing with Toots & the Maytals at Victoria B.C.’s International Ska & Reggae Festival, opening for the world-famous Skatalites in Bellingham, Seattle and in Los Angeles, performing with Third World at Downtown Sounds Bellingham, WA, multiple performances at Vancouver B.C.'s Camp Reverbia at Burning Man Festival, multiple times at Reggae On The River in N. California and backing Jamaican Ska, Reggae and Roots Legend Winston "Flames" Jarrett. YBB toured with Jarrett down the west coast and performed around Seattle and the Pacific Northwest with him. Rain started DJing vinyl in 1999 as DJ Yogoman. DJ Yogoman has a knack for keeping people on the dance floor and bringing an undeniably positive vibe to parties, weddings, festivals and many other occasions in his 25 years experience. DJ Yogoman specializes in spinning vintage Jamaican (Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Roots, Dub & Dancehall) early RnB, Soul and Funk records while always keeping his ear to the wheels and incorporating modern artists. Rain also leads a family band called Yogoman & Bongo Jac where he sings lead vocals and plays guitar with his wife “Bongo Jac” and their son Buck Rain (9 y.o.) who both play in the Burning Band also. Yogoman Burning Band has been Awarded - *BEST BOOTY SHAKIN' DANCE BAND (7 times) by What’s Up Music Magazine *BEST SPINNER for DJ Yogoman (7 times) by What's Up Music Magazine *BEST BAND/MUSICIAN by Cascadia Weekly (2 Times) *LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD to Jordan Rain/Yogoman by What’s Up Music Magazine |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mediocre Bad Guys | Mt Airy, North Carolina Mediocre Bad Guys began in the fall of 2005 when three friends and music buffs in Mount Airy NC – drummer Les Slate, bassist Jerry Chapman, and guitarist Gary Manfredi – started jamming on some Jack Johnson Tunes. Eventually, MBG secured a few gigs at a local coffee house, attracting larger crowds and a steadier following. With Slate’s vocals hinting at Johnson’s without appearing to imitate, Mediocre Bad Guys were on their way. Around 2006 the band added some songs outside the Jack Johnson box (wonderful as that box is). Cover songs were chosen that played into the band’s lineup, as well as tunes that merged well with Slate’s pure vocals and the more rock-leaning vocals of Chapman. Working meticulously on the tunes, MBG sought not to just “play” others’ songs but to recreate them in a style that paid homage to the original while remaining their own. Some of MBG’s favorite artists to cover are: Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, Sister Hazel, Jack Johnson and countless classics from the 60’s and 70’s New songs are added all the time. Overt the years the band’s lineup has evolved, with Slate and Chapman remaining at the foundation. Steve Lindsley joined in on keyboard, guitar/mandolin and vocals; and Doug Davis on guitar, keyboard and vocals. In 2010, as a solid foursome, MBG began a concentrated effort of writing and recording original material; leading to the launch of the “Monthly Free Download” project in September 2011. With their tremendous songwriting chops, an album is certainly in their future. To date, MBG has delighted audiences at both premier nightclubs, festival, and private parties all across the Triad of North Carolina and beyond. They’ve shared the stage with The Little River Band as well as Bobby Keys, sax player for the Rolling Stones. At the same time, they’ve played in living rooms and in quarters so cramped that the keyboardist had to climb over the railing with a ladder. But that’s okay – because when it comes to the Mediocre Bad Guys, it’s always about the music. As it damn well should be. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | José Lázaro Tello | José Lázaro Tello Cordero | His beginnings were on Radio Miraflores in 1945 and replacing Alberto Olivares Sánchez Moreno, the beloved "Sapito". He did so badly that he asked Clemente Palma for another chance and thus three months passed to achieve his goal. It featured the duo "Bolaños-Monteverde". D'acosta, the black Jack y Velásquez "El Trío Lucumí" and Linda Izquierdo, who performed singing boleros with great success. On Radio Atalaya, "Los Embajadores Criollos" triumphed with David Odría, a great revelation of the microphone and that, due to the popularity achieved in a short time, were the "jale" of Radio Victoria, "The Station of the Best Programs". A brilliant management by José Eduardo Cavero Andrade and who won "Los Ídolos del Pueblo" forever. Another station was emerging at that time. Radio "La Crónica". On large projects, directed by Juán Silva Villacorta and who set his expectations on David Odría. A special offer led to its acceptance and left the "Creole Ambassadors" without a midday entertainer. Then the opportunity would come for José Lázaro Tello, who, with everything he learned on Radio Miraflores and later on Radio Callao, is hired by Radio Victoria, positions himself and becomes the owner of such a privileged place. It would begin there, the long career of this great Creole speaker from Chiclayo. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Hidden Highways | Hidden Highways is a musical collaboration between [a=Carol Anne McGowan] and [a=Tim V Smyth]. Delivering quiet Americana-inflected folk, combining waltzing acoustic guitars, blended harmonies and brooding ambiance. The two first started working together in late 2010 and their eponymous four-track EP was released in April 2012 on [l=Out On A Limb Records]. They have toured at home and abroad sharing stages with The Staves, Lucy Rose, Terry Reid and John Smith amongst others. In the midst of all of that, Hidden Highways were awarded the RTÉ/RAAP breakthrough bursary for best emerging musical performers in their genre. 'Old Hearts Reborn' the duo's full length studio album was released in September 2013 on Out On A Limb Records and has garnered much critical praise. "...for those who appreciate simple, honest songwriting, this is gorgeous stuff" - The Irish Times ☆☆☆☆ "Potential album of the year...this is pure songwriting at its absolute best" - Hot Press ☆☆☆☆ "Road trip records - the ones that inspire you to pick somewhere and just get going in your very own movie. Neil Young's After the Gold Rush, Tom Waits' Closing Time and Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska are three of the greatest, but there's always room for a new soundtrack, and that's where the aptly-monikered Hidden Highways come in." - Harry Guerin, RTÉ ☆☆☆☆ "Hidden Highways have delivered one of the most strikingly lovely Irish debut albums in recent times, a haunting collection of songs of quiet power and tear-stained beauty." - Entertainment.ie ☆☆☆½ "...an incredible collection of songs that are thoroughly crafted and utterly timeless...they deliver songs that don't just aspire to Americana, but transcend it." - The Irish Mirror | |

He earned music degrees from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and Harvard University; and taught music composition and contemporary music for 23 years at the University at Buffalo. Amidst a career of composing mainly for traditional orchestral instruments, Jeff recently began re-exploring analog and digital synthesis, favoring the compositional limitations of small hardware devices like the Elektron Digitakt over the modern practices of laptop-based production. Using various hacks and adaptations, he creates uncanny musical vignettes that feature fat, bass-heavy hip hop and hauntingly otherworldly melodies, while evoking music boxes, retro VHS training videos, and mid-century advertising jingles. In 2021, Jeff will release Signaling, his first album of entirely electronic, beat-oriented music.

| Search | Add | 4 | The Boulting Brothers | Boulting brothers was a prolific English filmmakers duo of two identical twins, John Edward Boulting (1913—1985) and Roy Alfred Clarence Boulting (1913—2001), best known for a series of socially conscious comedies in the 1950s and 1960s. The brothers typically worked as a producer-director team, with one of the credits assigned to either John or Roy and the overall production colloquially known as a "Boulting Brothers film." When John Boulting died of cancer in 1985, Roy stopped making films. Roy Boulting began working in film sales around 1933, subsequently moving to production. He served as an assistant director on the 1936 short comedy Apron Fools. John and Roy established their Charter Film Productions company and began directing and filming shorts. A few of their works, such as The Landlady (1937) and Consider Your Verdict (1938), soon gained critical and commercial acclaim. Roy directed his first feature-length Hollywood movie after the Second World War, the Sailor of the King, for [l=20th Century Fox], starring [a=Jeffrey Hunter, Jr.] in 1953. Their second WWII naval war epic, this time for [l=Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer], Seagulls over Sorrento, featuring [a=Gene Kelly] in 1954, had less prominence. In the following decade, Boultings primarily focused on satire to highlight various British societal issues, from academia and corrupted unions to government bureaucracy or the inefficient legal system. The series began with John's look on military life, Private's Progress in 1956, starring [a=Richard Attenborough], [a=Terry-Thomas], and Ian Carmichael; it became the second biggest box office hit in the UK that year. The Lucky Jim followed in 1957, adapted from an eponymous novel by [a=Kingsley Amis] and set in academia. In 1966, the brothers directed and produced [m=257716], a northern comedy with [a=Paul McCartney]'s soundtrack starring John Mills and his teenage daughter [a=Hayley Mills]. Roy Boulting and Hayley had a 33-year age difference but began a relationship during the shoot; they married in 1971. (In 1987, [a=The Smiths] used The Family Way's still-frame as a cover for [m=21109] single.) | |

They quickly found a drummer (Cam Thomas) and started playing the Louisville club scene. The self titled EP was recorded in fall and winter of ‘16/’17 and released March 2017. It was met with positive reviews by local critics, with John King of 37 Flood remarking, ”The album plays as if Randy Bachman (from Bachman turner Overdrive) recorded an album with Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) backed by The Donnas. Which is to say, it is a straight up party record. The first track, Party Weekend, is a testament to Planetary Overdrive's skill at rocking the party.” Shortly after the release of the EP long time friend and collaborator of the band Russ Wallace joined in with his talents on keys and vocals, rounding out the three part harmonies. In June 2018 Planetary Overdrive released their self produced album Boneyard. This album widened PO’s sound, featuring Eli Hall on pedal steel guitar, Travis Stanton on saxophone, and a number of friends lending their voices with background vocals. Boneyard received more favourable reviews, with Scott Recker of LEO saying, “The songs on Boneyard are singular, explosive moments, aimed at slicing into a time and place that is easily relatable, and capable of unlocking memories.” Jake Hellman of the Never Nervous blog declared, “Southern rock is not dead. With their latest release Boneyard, Planetary Overdrive are doing their part to carry on the top down, beer chugging, guitar fueled rock of some of the great classic rock acts like Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. No need to reinvent the wheel here, just pick up your guitar and shred.” Another line up shift occurred shortly after the release of Boneyard with the departure of Cam Thomas on drums and the arrival of the vastly accomplished and adept Jarrett Nash, picking up the sticks. Planetary Overdrive is currently in their studio working on their next album. The band plans on rocking the party for some time to come!
