Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Found Wild | Most people have an individual journey, a path or a fate. This path intersects along the course of life with that of others, while some continue side by side before splitting into divergent directions. Tim Arnold and Keith Goodwin have been running together for some time now. While they’ve lived their own individual lives, and their paths have indeed diverged at times, they always seem to come back to one another. Something is there, and for reasons that no one can pinpoint. Perhaps it's best that way. The more mysterious a magic, the more powerful. Tim and Keith started their professional music careers in a band called Days Away in the early 00’s, and together formed Good Old War as Days Away folded. A lot happened in the 15 plus years they performed and wrote together. During this period Tim delved deeper into the world of drugs and alcohol, while Keith settled down and had a family. Their bond was stretched to the breaking point when Tim left Good Old War and moved to Atlanta, GA after learning he was going to have a child. Tim was still using drugs and alcohol as Keith continued working in Good Old War. Eventually, Tim returned to tour with Good Old War after the birth of his daughter, but couldn’t kick the habit. Heroin was getting the better of him, so he committed himself to working through these issues in treatment. At this point it seemed as though their bond may have endured enough, and would finally snap, but still it held. Tim learned how to manage his inner darkness and finally ended his affair with drugs and alcohol. Following a year of treatment and working odd jobs in the south, he came back to Pennsylvania to reunite with Good Old War. He was back, and with him came honesty and clarity. Through it all the bond had grown stronger. Keith and Tim began to write together, this time letting Tim’s voice take the lead. They had never worked this way before, and it must have been meant to be, as it worked right away almost effortlessly. The idea was to do something simple, something almost pure, something that could carry the words that were seeds growing inside them, to make manifest such a vessel, together. The sapling was dug up deep inside the dirt of the friend’s souls and planted. Like most things growing in the wilderness of the heart, it was very old and was found wild.

Search | Add | 3 | One Lifeless Eye | James McCrea | One Lifeless Eye is the audio counterpart to the visual art of James McCrea. Each piece of music is a distinct narrative, the basic audio lexicon for which was developed through two year's worth of experimentation beginning with an unnamed demo recording in 2003 and culminating in the release of Shattered, under the name Narcotic Dreams, in 2005. The name Narcotic Dreams was dropped in lieu of One Lifeless Eye in 2007 when the project became more focused on nightmare visions and personal occurrences, with more emphasis on composition than experimentation. Live performances are automatic, using very little pre-conceived musical parts though still utilizing the basic lexicon used in the audio recordings. With each piece of music, whether created spontaneously during a live performance or meticulously arranged over time, there is always distinct imagery driving the formation of each sound. Enough space is left for the listener to interpret the events as they may, though the emotions at the core are often absolute. |

Their first album was called "И пак е рок" (And It's Rock Again). They’ve played almost everywhere in their country. Search | Add | 3 | Lapel | Trying to find just the right moniker for her new synth-pop outfit, Debbie Neigher was inspired by a 1977 interview with author and actress Margaret Trudeau. When asked about her previous marriage to the Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau famously responded: “I want to be more than a rose in my husband’s lapel.” This moment—and the name Lapel—boldly underscore the ethos of Neigher’s new project: “I love that quote. It’s about feminism. It’s about not wanting to be defined by someone else. Trudeau went on to have a significant impact as a mental-health advocate, too. She was an incredible woman.” A former social worker and music teacher who spent her days supporting homeless youth, and her nights as a keyboardist and backup singer for more than a dozen bands including Ezra Furman, The Family Crest and Curls (with Christopher Owens of the band Girls), Debbie Neigher is a seasoned veteran of the San Francisco Bay scene. From then on, the band began to perform in clubs in the capital and in the main places of the countryside, conquering a large number of admirers. The next step was the recording of the album "Nossa Canção", released in 1992, with the song "Minha Lady" as its single, a Brazilian Portuguese version of "You're a Woman" by Appledat Hendrix Van Halen, which was immediately accepted by listeners. With these hits, concerts began to take place in many cities of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

Search | Add | 3 | Os Nazaritos | Os Nazaritos, formerly called Os Nazarenos is a Brazilian Christian rock band. The band was formed by Gustavo Legal in 1998 in Itaguaí, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Mixing rhythms such as ska, rock, country music and reggae, Nazaritos create a kind of comical rock in the evangelical scene. With the support of Ronaldo Barros, father of singer Aline Barros, the band signed with AB Records and released their first CD in 1999, making it a huge success in Gospel. With the band's departure from AB Records to the Top Gospel label, the members changed the group's name to Os Nazaritos. In 2001, he performed at Rock in Rio III at Tenda Brasil together with Los Hermanos, Ls Jack among others. It was considered, by Roberto Medina himself (Creator of Rock in Rio), that the Band's presentation would be on Palco Mundo before the Iron Maiden Band's presentation. But the band thought it would be better to perform on Teen day at Tenda Brasil as they would have more time to perform. After long years of hiatus, the group returned to activities in 2016, for a commemorative tour, and released, in 2017, the EP O Emergente. In February 2022, Banda leader Gustavo Legal announced the Band's return to the stage. Despite the similarities with Mamonas Assassinas, the band states that their main influences were the singer Falcão and the band Blitz, and that the association with Mamonas was marketing for the record label AB Records.

At the end of 2013 Ryan Neeland joined as bass player, then Ian Durand on guitars, followed by Michael Mistretta as drummer in January 2014. In February 2014 the band changed its name to [a4146084].

Search | Add | 3 | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Shuniborov and music are inseparably connected since childhood. Playing his parents' tapes and vinyl collections on repeat, he would beg with tears to turn Yury Antonov's 'Moonlight way' on. And then he would break into a dance absorbing the rhythm and dynamics of the piece. ABBA, Boney-M, Michael Jackson, the Army of Lovers, the Beatles and other wonderful records were unfolding for him as he was growing up. Aleks's dad worked as a truck driver and he went on trips far abroad. You may guess how lucky Aleks was to have access to the world of music. This changed his life significantly. The 90's were not the easiest time for Belarus, just as for any other post Soviet country. And he was the one with Pringles, and records from the mysterious abroad. Dad kept buying all the new musical stuff to brighten his long way home. But as soon as he reached home all the tapes found their place on Aleks's shelves. Shuniborov's first DJ experience happened at the age of 14. He practised at house parties after school where school mates were getting addicted to apparently not only music. The school graduation party was a great event at his teen age. Then until his 23 he was continually looking for his own ways of self-expressiin in electronic music. He began to understand rather clearly what he wanted and needed for his favourite activity. Nothing was possible without equipment, skills of making textures, mixing them and producing. 'Music is my best friend, the beloved wife and child. There're no unpleasant sounds, no bad music. My greatest fear is to lose the ability of comprehending sounds, to stop feeling the bit of dynamics, to forget how to mix sounds and enjoy them. That sound like the end of me and for me. ' Shuniborov keeps his mind open. Experimenting, searching for' incorrect' mixes, state-of-the-art dynamics of the tapes filled with complex combinations are born in his studio. Aleks has preserved his internal child not setting boundaries to his freedom at the same time. |

Search | Add | 3 | John Tkacik | John Tkacik (born April 15, 1961 in Worcester, MA) was an experimental artist, writer, and musician best known as the bass player for the American skatecore band Crash Course. A pioneer and singular influence in the New England underground music scene, Tkacik (pronounced kay-sick) was the bass player of several early hardcore punk bands, including Pig Iron in 1983, and Crash Course in 1984 on Cape Cod, MA. Briefly sponsored by Zorlac/Airwalk, the band was promoted by a local skateboard shop who funded the recording of their 27-track debut. The band played frequently for years, touring in a borrowed school bus or their renovated 1960s ambulance, including epics shows with The Freeze, The F.U.s, Beefeater, Gang Green, Lost Prophets, Verbal Assault, The Outpatients, Th’Inbred, Vicious Circle, Toxic Reasons, Seizure, Strange Flesh, The Loud Ones, and many others at classic N.E. punk venues like The Channel, The Living Room, The Rat, Lupo’s, Club Rocket, the Cage, Anthrax, and Laconia Bike Week. Crash Course released three cassettes on guitarist John Santos’ Hellcore/Landlubber Records: “Pilgrimage to Hell” 1995, “The End” 1986, and “Live” in 1991, selling most via mail order through reviews and ads in zines like Maximum Rock n Roll and Suburban Voice. The Whore Moans catalog is comprised of a series of five cassette releases, plus an interim album titled Psychedelia Vapor Christ or P.V.C. During a prolific 10 year creative outburst, Tkacik wrote and recorded hundreds of songs in a broad range of styles, and played many shows, including a regular slot at Providence art space AS220 in the late 80s. He independently published their music in a cassette series recorded and produced with drummer David Silver, with hand-painted labels created after nightly band practice, and was creator the fanzine “American Defense of Justice”, printing and distributing several issues with reviews and interviews of regional punk bands and art by underground alternative artists. His writing turned toward political folk music during the 1990s, under multiple band names including Beautiful Child and Rack. In the early-90s, Tkacik came out as transgender and gender fluid, at times changing her name to Jana, continuing to write acoustic guitar music and working at a San Francisco clinic as an activist and advocate for HIV patients in need to medical marijuana before it was legalized. In 1993-94, Tkacik reunited with Pig Iron members John and Pete Santos (Antibodies) and returned to playing bass for the punk rock band Glass Cross, which sadly was never released. An avid traveller, Tkacik spent time between Cape Cod, Boston, Los Angeles, and New Mexico and spent a number of years in San Francisco. She died suddenly in S.F., CA on Saturday, October 29, 2005. Tkacik is survived by family members in MA and many friends and fans in the area.
