Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Gang Is Alles | It is the autumn of 1993, one of the Ameland village festivals is in full swing. And sometimes you don't need much more than that, a beer and a chat in a marquee, to come up with the best ideas. For example, the idea of starting a new band. The plans that were carefully drawn up in that autumn still need some time to mature, but in 1994 Taryadi Boelens and Daniël Metz founded 'Gang is Alles'. The Amelander band also consists of Martijn Boelens and Heru Metz. The fast repertoire with many own songs, the sounds from an old, dusty accordion by Daniël and the high party level mean that the link with the music of Rowwen Hèze is quickly established. It brings the boys to stages in various halls, tents and bars. First on the island, but not much later, performances ashore are increasingly the rule rather than the exception. The popularity of Rowwen Hèze rises to great heights and Gang is Alles is regularly impresses the band at concerts, because not much later they are asked to play support act for the Limburgers. It will be a great success, resulting in even more performances and special requests. In this way they also end up in the support act for Jovink and the Voederbietels. After seven years full of highlights, including their own album, Martijn and Heru decide to leave the band. Their successors are Gerjan den Hartogh and William Beijaard. They are rapidly being prepared (because corridor is everything) for big performances. With the arrival of the new band members, the repertoire also gets a small metamorphosis. The Rowwen Hèze style is complemented by other genres. The result: more songs, more variety, but still performed in a unique way. The success continues unabated and the agenda of Gang is Alles remains busy. In the meantime, training courses are completed, new jobs are taken and sometimes even relocations to the mainland. The individual agendas are increasingly difficult to combine with those of the band and in 2008 it is decided to stop. Daniël, a stage animal pur sang, continues to perform together with William. From Hollum to Haarlem and from Buren to Broeksterwoude, the two crowds know how to sing along and celebrate. The accordion still plays an important role, now there is a whole arsenal in the cupboard. The only thing missing all these years is an official band name. Gang is Alles Because the statement 'Gang is Alles' still fits perfectly with the energetic performances full of sing-alongs and danceable songs, Daniël decides, with the approval of the former band members, to restore the old name in 2016. The composition may have changed, but Gang is Alles still provides one big party. And that will never change. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Laura Beard | Laura Renee Beard | Laura Beard (6 October 1979, El Paso — 23 March 1997, Fabens, El Paso County, Texas) was an American bassist, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, best known as the co-founder of post-hardcore/emo/punk band [a=The Fall On Deaf Ears] in 1996 with [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala] of [a=At The Drive-In] and [a=Clint Newsom] (from [a=Rhythm Of Black Lines] and [a=The Hades Kick]). Laura extensively collaborated with her lifelong friend, [a=Sarah Reiser], who played guitar in the FODE. One of their earliest joint projects, Rope, became the first "all-women" band to reach acclaim on the predominantly male West Texas punk scene. Laura and Sarah played in other local bands and published a feminist "riot grrrl" zine, Femme Fatale, together. They died in a single car accident at only 17; Bixler and Newsom posthumously published surviving material and dedicated a few songs and records to them. Beard grew up in El Paso, where she began making music with her childhood friend, [a=Sarah Reiser], in the early teens. They co-founded "Rope" and joined "The Glitter Girls," an all-girl punk group formed by Laura's classmate, Kristin Woodward; she invited [a=Clint Newsom], whose cousin Amanda also joined this band, to one of the practices, where he met and befriended Laura and Sarah. As Rope began gaining traction on the local El Paso scene, two friends met [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala], a prolific drummer and vocalist who co-founded several bands, such as Foss, the [a=Dregtones], and, most notably, [a=At The Drive-In]. Laura and Sarah contributed backing vocals on the ATDI's second 7" single, [m=333386], which came out on Cedric's label [l=Western Breed Records] in 1995 and soon began playing with him. Clint Newsom joined shortly after, and they established [a=The Fall On Deaf Ears]. The band only lasted for several months but was productive, extensively performing live; in May 1996, FODE recorded a five-song demo tape with [a=Mike Major] at [l=Rosewood Studios]. They disbanded amicably by the late Fall, playing the last show at The Rugburn in El Paso. In early 1997, Laura again started to make music with Sarah, singing and playing acoustic guitars. The newly-formed duo gave one concert, opening for [a=Long Hind Legs] and [a=Thrones]. They died in a car accident returning home from Austin to El Paso, rolling over and crashing in the ditch near Fabens, Texas — merely 20 miles away from their destination. (The third passenger in the car reportedly survived.) Buried at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, Laura Beard and Sarah Reiser lay under the same tombstone, decorated with a guitar and a ribbon that reads: "Best friends." The same year, Clint Newsom and Cedric Bixler released a commemorative [r=1342860] 7" split on Western Breed, featuring Rope and two FODE tracks on the B-side. The ATDI's third single, [m=45454], and the 7" split by [a=Ex Impetus] and Egon were both dedicated to Sarah and Laura. (Cedric Bixler later wrote the song about the tragic loss, "Napoleon Solo," on ATDI's second album, [m=45460].) In 2002, Newsom arranged a self-titled CD EP release by Fall on Deaf Ears, featuring the band's May 1996 demo, on [l=Post-Parlo Records] based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. |

| Search | Add | 2 | La Pointe | Emerging from a confluence of rave culture and artistic mastery, La Pointe make an impressive label debut on Secret Teachings with the enigmatic ‘Umbra’. Delivering a sonic journey that transcends the ordinary. La Pointe, a trio formed by Geneva-based techno pioneers Crowdpleaser and Entlet alongside New York City’s Jonny Sender, represents a fusion of cultural and musical legacies. Rooted in the dynamic after-hours scenes of Geneva and New York’s underground club culture, the trio creates music that is both innovative and steeped in tradition. Their studio, located in an old factory by the meeting point of the Rhone and Arve rivers, lends its name—and its industrial inspiration—to their project. The release is accompanied by stellar remixes from revered producer Nathan Fake and the ever-versatile Jonny Rock. The genesis of La Pointe is as captivating as its sound. Crowdpleaser and Entlet are celebrated architects of Geneva’s rave scene, running the legendary after-hours party The Shark for over a decade and hosting luminaries like Alexander Robotnik, Boo Williams, and Sonja Moonear. Jonny Sender, a stalwart of New York’s downtown music revolution in the 80s to 00s and bass player of post-punk band KONK, brought his unique perspective honed in venues including Mudd Club and Paradise Garage to the trio when he moved to France. | |

The choir was established from the older children's choir Statsradiofoniens Lille Børnekor as a logical parallel to the boys choir, [a=Statsradiofoniens Drengekor]. The choir debuted on nationwide radio on 16 Oktober 1938 conducted by [a=Lis Jacobsen] that remained their principal conductor until 1961. In 1959 the orchestra changed name to [a=Danmarks Radios Pigekor]. | Search | Add | 2 | Cast Of Kings | Los Angeles based band Cast of Kings are best described as a “true” rock-n-roll band. The band combines intense vocals, catchy guitar riffs and a driving rhythm section to deliver a one of a kind knockout punch. Think if AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns n’ Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Kiss were to conceive a musical love child during a one-night stand, the product would be Cast of Kings. This group is poised to be the next band to emerge from the Los Angeles rock scene into the national spotlight. With tremendous musicianship, explosive stage presence and an air of overall reckless abandon, Cast of King’s young and raw energy keeps the sound current and vital while paying tribute to the roots of rock. In 2008 the Album “Royal Feast” was recorded independently by the band and helmed by local producer Rev. Tom Chandler. In the 6 months in and out of the studio the band formed a tight personal unity, but still forged through creative differences and inner turmoil to create an amazing album which stands up next to many of the bands influences. “Our goal was to make our own Back in Black or Appetite for Destruction” said Singer Jesse Forte, “Even if we came up a little short of that, this is a record I’m very, very proud of. It’s a great first record.” The record features the stand out rock tracks “Stella”, “Prom Queen”, and “Killer” but stills offer epic change ups like “Last Great Movie Scene” or a southern rock flavored track like “Shovel Full of Love”. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Giuseppe Garuti | He made his debut in 1921 at Politeama Verdi of Cremona in Cavalleria Rusticana. He excited in 1921 the first sensation in Genoa as Alfredo in Verdi’s ‘’ Traviata’’. He had considerable career in the big Italian provincial stages, especially in Genoa, where he appeared with success among other things in 1922 in ‘’ Gioconda’’ of Ponchielli, in 1926 in ‘’Lucia di Lammermoor’’. In 1936 he made guest appearance at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. He retired from the stage in 1940. He had to give up his career early, because he lost his voice, probably because he had too often sung the heavy parts. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Adult Mayflys | Rotorua, New Zealand - not a place known for 'indie' or alternative rock music but it had a small and lively scene from the mid to late 1980s. Acts such as the Boogadagas, Calamari Bushmen, Da Hubcaps, Lounge Lizards, Book of Martyrs, Pet Cemetary, Big Fat Torturous Band, Dufty Baker, the Earthlings, P.D. Corp and Adult Mayflys played to audiences that wanted more than "pub rock in a tourist town". Many of the musicians who made up these acts crossed over into each others bands at one time or another. With very few venues that supported local music, gigs often took place at someone's house, the Rotorua Art Gallery at Tudor Towers or the legendary Homestead Tavern. Sometimes bands scored a support act for a more well-known act traveling through town or ventured out to Tauranga, Hamilton or even Auckland for the odd gig. In some cases (Book of Martyrs) the bands relocated outside of Rotorua and found more success, appearing in the likes of Stamp and RipItUp magazines and heard on student radio. Most of these bands found their way to Zed Brookes' Tandy's recording studio, just outside of Hamilton to record. Luckily many of these recordings still exist despite only being released on cassette only. Like many original bands who originated from the provinces of New Zealand at the time, the Rotorua bands (or 'Mudpool sound') were mostly overlooked in favor of acts from the main centers such as Auckland, Wellington and of course Dunedin with its Flying Nun legacy. There is no doubt if these Rotorua acts were in fact based in Dunedin back then, they may have become household names like the Chills, The Clean or the Verlaines now are. Sometimes geography is a hinderance but also determines the sound that ultimately defines you. Hopefully in the digital age more archives of the Mudpool bands will make their way to the ears of music fans who will discover a piece of New Zealand music they may not have known ever existed. The Adult Mayflys consisted of Dave Bishop, Jeremy Taylor and Graeme Anderson and produced a typically 'New Zealand' style indie rock. Anderson was also a member of pioneering Flying Nun act the Stones with Jeff Batts and Wayne Elsey; Bishop went on to form the Big White Indie Band at the end of the 80s, the Earthlings in the early 90s, the successful Peter Stuyvesant Hitlist in the late-90s and is now a solo artist in his own right as "Davey Beige" with a new album due in Sept 2017. Taylor moved on to join the Calamari Bushmen. | |
