These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

He spent his early childhood days between there and West Virginia where his parents operated a small Mom & Pop grocery store. K. is a Nascar fanatic to this day:) J.K. grew up surrounded by music & musicians. His cousin, Buddy Starcher was a professional recording artist on Columbia Records and was a regular performer on the then popular Midwestern & Louisiana Hayrides. He also introduced the late Keith Whitley who first appeared on Buddys weekly radio show in Charleston, West Virginia when he was 8 years old. J. K. made his own first appearance on radio at age 12 and first TV appearance at age 14. His Uncle & Grandpa performed together at churches throughout the South. That's where J. K. made his first appearance singing in church at the ripe old age of 11. His first professional job was at age 14 when he began singing with The Pleasant Hill Quartet. A well-known gospel group at the time. Of course in his teens he had to try his hand in high school dance bands like Fire n' Ice and The Four Aces but by age 20 he had returned to his first love country music. At that time J. K. helped form a 7 piece country rock group called 'The Southern Express'. They garnered a great deal of regional success and opened for many popular groups at that time such as Pure Prairie League, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco & The Marshall Tucker Band. In 1983 he left The Southern Express to pursue a solo career as his heart was with more traditional country music. He appeared to be taking the music business by storm as he was often the featured artist on Ernest Tubbs Midnite Jamboree and many popular Nashville nightclubs and was dubbed The Star of Tomorrow by Country Music News. He first cracked the country music charts in 1987 with a self-penned song, West Virginia You're Still My Home on the Studio 7 label. Since then he had enjoyed a number of chart successes including being shown in the Top 40 in Europe for 41 straight weeks. He also has made many appearances on radio & TV including The Nashville Showcase, The Midnight Jamboree, Nashville On Stage, The Jerry Lewis Telethon & Stars of Tomorrow Show. J. K. has toured worldwide and worked with some of the greatest names in country music including Jerry Reed, Loretta Lynn, The Bellamy Brothers, Conway Twitty, Buck Owens, George Jones, Tammy Wynette & Jerry Lee Lewis to name just a few. In addition to still recording and performing on his own J.K. is now helping the new up & coming young artists serving as the President of Colt Records Nashville as well as Nashville Radio Promotions, Chairman of The Traditional Country Opry and hosting The Country Star Showcases. He was recently awarded The Texas CMA Entertainer and Best Country Album of The Year awards. J. K. Jazz established residence in her soul during her NY High School years, but a budding career was cut short by marriage to a Cuban Economics major she met while a student at pre-Castro’s Villanova University in Havana. But twenty years, three marriages and four children later, with life’s experiences as a bonus, Havana finally went home to her passion – music. In 1984, Carbo created “Havana Midnight”, a latin/jazz group devoted to her arrangements of Latin American classics from her past, and the group met with instant success in the Berkshires where she resided. She produced an EP (Another Summer), which led to being signed by Soul Note in 1987 to record her first solo CD, “Street Cries”. It featured Gene Bertoncini, Michael Moore, Marvin Stamm and John Sauer. In ‘89 she was awarded a Mass Arts Grant. Carbo recorded or performed with such greats as Michael Moore, Jimmy Giuffre, Gene Bertoncini, Dario Eskenazi, Nilson Matta, Vince Cherico, John Benitez, Café, Chocolate Armenteros, Oriente Lopez, Helio Alves, Sean Smith, Diego Urcola, Edsel Gomez, Aaron Goldberg, John Di Martino, “El Negro”Hernandez, Café, LeoTraversa, the late Edson Machado, and a two-month run as vocalist with the legendary Chico O’Farrill Band. Since moving to NY she has appeared in major clubs from NY to the Caribbean, South Beach and Paris; venues as varied as Birdland, 55BAR, Lenox Lounge, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smith College, Aaron Davis Hall, B.Smith’s, Lenox Lounge, Helsinki, the Barbados and Jamaica Jazz Festivals. Carbo has been featured guest on radio including WNYC, WFCR, WFDU, WBGO, WDNA Miami, XM Satellite Radio, WLUZ San Juan, and KLAS Jamaica. The song "This Love Is Real" was a remake of a Jackie Wilson recording. This was their last 45, though. As a boy, he watched The Beatles perform on Ed Sullivan and joined the ranks of their countless fans throughout the turbulent Sixties. Inspired by artists like David Bowie, Neal Young, and Lou Reed, he began playing guitar and writing songs in the early Seventies. After a string of copy bands to develop his performance skills, Cash joined forces with singer/songwriter William Loveless to form an acoustic duo called Akimbo. Freshly out of high school, Akimbo grew amplifiers, added drums and ultimately evolved into The Privates. The Privates enjoyed considerable success during the Eighties playing along side bands such as The Motels, The Plugz, and The Suburban Lawns at many of the popular Los Angeles venues of the day. The Privates signed a deal with a well known production company but fame and fortune never materialized. Buckling under the strain, The Privates broke up as their demo tape was being shopped and before the promise of a European tour could be fulfilled. As it turns out, this too was serendipitous. Dreams of rock stardom were replaced by more profitable endeavors ultimately providing Cash the resources to pursue his art on his own terms. During the Nineties, Cash played in various original groups including The Intelligence, Gadflies, and Wobblewire but career and family were his central focus. In 2004, Cash met producer Joe Ongie and asked him to work with him on his debut album titled Hollywood Mirage. In 2008 Cash released his second album Invisible with the band he had been playing since late in 2006. San Diego producer Jeff Berkley did a nice job helping him make an album he is very proud of. Since 2014, Cash has devoted a good deal of his time to his professional recording studio Sonic-Rocket.com In 2017 Cash formed another band called The Brilliant Deductions, this time with long time pal John Saccoman on bass and backing vocals, friend and Chief Engineer at the Rocket Shea Thompson on keyboards and backing vocals, Lead Guitarist (and Grammy nominee) Jan Bugaiski, and the amazing Dick Winter on drums. This has been a blast and is the foundation forsome of his best work to date. As a concert curator, he recently co-produced a concert series with professional flutist, Jessie Nucho, featuring music for flute and electronics inspired by different forms of feedback. The first concert “In Response” was presented January 2020 and focused on the physical and emotional effects of feedback in dialog, in communication. In July 2021, they presented the second concert “Self vs. Other” which explored anxiety and feelings of isolation in the shelter-in-place life. The third and final concert of the series, "Reality", focused on feedback loops which harm our natural world. In 2019, Brett composed for a concert he co-curated with the ensemble Slow Wave, featuring new music for viola, clarinet, and piano. In 2018, he curated and produced a concert for the quartet, End Times Ensemble, titled “Punk in Times of War”, which featured Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du Temps, Nick Vasallo’s When the War Began, and the premiere of Eastman’s MISMA. As a performing musician, he cofounded, coproduced and played bass in sci-fi punk band Andy Human and the Reptoids, and he currently plays drums for R.E. Seraphin and The Aerosols. He has toured throughout the United States and Europe in various groups. As a recording engineer, he has produced records by Bay Area underground bands including Preening, The World, AH & the Reps, Pang, Lenz, and Baus, among others. He did sound design for and co-wrote (with Jon Raskin) the score for the feature-length film, “The Murder of Hi Good”, by filmmaker Lee Lorenzo Lynch. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Mayday Project | Mayday Project Duo is a musical project founded by Alessio Prasciolu aka Alex Prax, deejay and producer from Cagliari (Italy). The current lineup consists of Anthony Maxul, singer and musician from Cagliari. The first training was in 2009 with Riccardo Corda aka Riky B, current Rick Sanders. Their works are marked by Electro and Progressive House sounds with influence of Classical Music. First project - named "Mayday" - has been issued with Dance Rhythm “Benvenuto Edizioni Musicali”, in collaboration with Riccardo Derio, current Therio. Then it goes on following “Puccini Street” and “Aquarium” for Fair Play Recordings in collaboration with Rick Sanders, Andrea Del Vescovo, Andrea Loche & Corrado Zonnedda. Coming out In September 2015 the new project "Face" for Moon Deep Records. In addition to positive feedback from people involved in music field: Cid Inc, Gai Barone, Markus Schulz, Egostereo, Paul Harris, Eiad Sayegh, Jay Marshall, Damasko, Sonic Union, Kassey Voorn. | Search | Add | 6 | Hiran Mitra | Hiran Mitra (born 1945) is an artist based in Kolkata (West Bengal, India). He left his ancestral country home in Kharagpur to study Fine Art in the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata at the age of 14. His paintings are energetic abstract gestural paintings with the choreography of the human body observed from folk dance having influenced his recent calligraphic forms. He has contributed significantly to the visual stimulus in eastern Indian films, television, theatre and literature since in the 1980s. He is also known to have defined a benchmark for book cover design for contemporary Bengali literature. His paintings are statements on the human condition and the twilight zones of reality and time. Bold brush strokes, layered washes and sprays and unconventional use of acrylic and industrial paints characterize his paintings. He is part of the Open Window Artist group and has been part of the Painters 80 Artist group in Kolkata. |
