Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Kikipopo | Noah Thompson | Born from the cosmic dust of discarded circuit boards, Kikipopo quickly became an electronic music sensation with his uncanny ability to turn everyday appliances into single day appliances. Legend has it that Kikipopo's first concert involved a synchronized symphony of toasters, blenders, and alarm clocks that left audiences both amazed and hungry for breakfast. Offstage, Kikipopo is known for his eccentricities. He insists on wearing a wide assortment of soggy headbands at all times, claiming that they help him pick up AM radio. He has been spotted sipping apple cider vinegar while tinkering with vintage synthesizers that emit confusion-scented smoke. Despite his quirks, Kikipopo's influence on the electronic music scene cannot be denied, as he continues to push the boundaries of what is considered danceable, and music. And so, Kikipopo's legacy continues to pulsate through the veins of the west coast rave scene, forever pushing the boundaries of sound and good taste. Whether he is composing symphonies on a keyboard made of Slim Jims or leading a parade of dancing piranhas, Kikipopo remains an icon of smooth jazz, reminding us all that sometimes the least-traveled paths can lead to the back of a 7-Eleven, and isn't that where we're all trying to end up? |

Search | Add | 6 | Shiva The Destroyer | Shiva the Destroyer, an experimental pop band, formed in Ft. Worth, Denton, Waco, and Granbury, Texas in the early 1990s, is the brainchild of Tony Primavera. Rising from the recent ashes of The Codependents (who were to be the ‘next big thing’ before deciding that fame and general acceptance was a useless farce) who disbanded in 1991 or '92. Discoursing on rock is pretty gay, huh? Where is Lester Bangs when you need him? Oh right, he’s dead. Shiva the Destroyer became the live version of The Can't, an improvisational 4-track project of Tony Primavera. The original idea for the group was to be an ever-changing line-up of capable local musicians, each playing a temporary role. That never worked out, considering the superstar egos of many of the Texas “musicians”. Though, there have been around fifteen members of the group besides the three principles. The music, a sort of experimental pop, is inspired by Pussy Galore, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground and The Violent Femmes…although none of Shiva's music sounds like those bands. Primavera always refuses to play with bands that he doesn't like, even if they are popular and the money is good. Some bands Shiva have played with are Sebadoh, Tsunami, Trumans Water, Tiger Trap, Wayward Girl, The Fireworks, Blacktop, Record Player, Pitchblende, God Is My Co-Pilot, Mudhoney, et al. The original line-up consisted of Jacky Shepherd (former guitar player and co-founder of The Codependents along with Tony Primavera who Jacky had played with in various bands since high school in Granbury, Texas. Jacky was the best guitar player around, so Primavera tasked him with the drum duties, which would lead to many a fight between the two. Lyle Darrin was an old skinhead friend of Primavera, so Primavera got him to play guitar. Lyle Darrin is now known as Stanton Meadowdale and is quite a famous and brilliant singer-songwriter in his own right. The idea of using musicians uncomfortable outside their elements gave Primavera free reign to dictate the direction of the group. Later, the original three fell apart. Lyle got a cute young girlfriend who dictated his every move and so was fired on-stage in Austin, Texas; Jacky got a heroin habit (died in 2007, RIP). Primavera took on Bryan Schmitz to play drums, sing back-up vocals, and play the occasional Fender Rhodes organ. Schmitz' musicianship, wit, and humor were so incredible that no words needed be spoken between the two. A symbiotic and instinctual force took control (Radar Love?), so that every recording and every show was perfection. The duo toured the east coast in 1996, after recording some of the band's best songs in Denton, Texas. Tony Primavera wrote the songs and played bass-chords for a while, before turning, prematurely, to guitar (in a spur of the moment experiment opening for Tsunami (some of the nicest people ever) and Versus (self-important dickheads). The lastest Shiva show took place at L'argot in Denton, Texas, after Primavera had relocated to Boston, MA. They conceded to open for the popular metal-funk band Brutal Juice, a band with which they had always refused to play, even though they were friends and, bass player Sam McCall was twice their engineer. "I hated them. I hated their sound and I hated their popularity amongst the frat Neanderthals in that area. I considered them to be playing ignorant and vulgar "beer music," which Jacky liked much. " The money and the large audience was likely the deciding factor in accepting the gig. Now a duo, Bryan Schmitz and Tony Primavera proceeded to inject copious amounts of cocaine and then guzzle Jack Daniels in an attempt to lessen the effects of the coke. This lead to what fans called Shiva's best show ever, consisting of lyrics of mumbled insults to the crowd and about only doing the show for the money, and Primavera vomiting on the crowd several times. Although this was little new for the group. Shiva the Destroyer always took a provocative stance, taunting audience members, and insulting "important" people and other bands, as well as lying to the media and creating fake interviews with the motto "Subvert, Destroy!" Shiva the Destroyer, despite their many relocations, some living in foreign countries, and line-up changes, continues to record their own brand of experimental pop music (often referred to as "spooky pop music"), releasing material mostly on compilations, as well as playing the occasional show. A self-titled "greatest hits" CD (despite the bands distaste for the CD medium) was released in 2001. Several tracks on compilations, including the song "Roxbury Station," appeared on "A Taste of Lapin," released by Thomas Nola's (of Thomas Nöla et son Orchestre) Disques de Lapin in 2008, as well as the song, "Sunday with Jacky," in Denton) on the "Rabbits in Your Stocking," comp. released in 2009. Search | Add | 6 | Gonzaga Coutinho | Gonzaga Coutinho was born in 1949 in the city of Beira - Mozambique. He started as a bass guitar player having formed his first musical group at the age of 14. As he had a piano in the rehearsal room, he dedicated himself to that instrument. In 1976, already in Portugal he continues with musical activity, having in 1979 an opportunity to participate in the Festival RTP da Canção with a song of his own "Tema Para Um Homem Só", where he gets an honorable place. Until 1982 with a contract with the record company "Polygram" he recorded three singles. In 2002 he recorded the album "Índico" with songs of his own having prestigious collaborations by Rão Kyao, Olavo Bilac, Dany Silva, and Tó Cruz. The CD "Saudades do Tom" is a huge tribute to the composer TOM JOBIM: Jobim songs sung in Portuguese, with fantastic musical arrangements where the Portuguese guitar ‘marks’ the difference. The special appearances of, Ivan Lins, Rui Veloso, and Sofia Vitória are undoubtedly an asset for this edition. In 2011 he recorded the album CD Shangri-la.

Search | Add | 6 | Die Mysteriösen | DIE MYSTERIÖSEN was a German band formed in the fall of 1981 by Henry Spencer, Michael M. and Ingrid K. The unique sound of DIE MYSTERIÖSEN was created by using electronic instruments (Henry) combined with guitar / bass (Michael) and vocals (Ingrid / Henry / Michael). On many tracks tape-loops with sounds of different origins were used as an early form of sampling. Lyrics came from all three members and were in German or English. The recordings were made in the living room of Henry Spencer by using a tape-machine and overdubs, later adding a four-channel mixer. In the spring of 1982, the first C-30 cassette DER BLUTIGE ERNST was released. The tape received mostly positive reviews in the regional and national press and a few copies were even sold to the United States. Excerpts from some reviews: "A delight ... Simple but brilliant minimal music ... true dilettants" (City Magazine 05/82), "The tape has a lot going for it ... " (Meilenstein #3), "Above-average Synth Tape ... varied .. recommended" (Spex 06 /82). With this tape the band became well known in the localscene and got the offer to play live at a gala event at the "Kunstakademie" (Academy of Fine Arts), Münster (25.06.1982). Soon thereafter, on 17.07.1982, DIE MYSTERIÖSEN played their second live gig, together with "Torpedo", at the local club "Kronenburg". The live sound was mixed by Klaus Jankuhn, later co-founder of "Low-Spirit Records". The gig was recorded and a limited C-45 cassette entitled "LIVE IN DER KRONENBURG" was released. Shortly thereafter, some tracks by the trio were heard on the cassette-zine "Band-It 8" and the sampler "Ein wahnsinniger Meilenstein". In early 1983, the third tape of DIE MYSTERIÖSEN entitled "ALARM IM WELTALL"was released. This tape also received good reviews and was quite successful. The interests of the band members, however, had developed in very different directions over the course of cooperation, and so,in 1984, DIE MYSTERIÖSEN became even more mysterious by just fading away...

Search | Add | 6 | Marc Loage | Marc Loage | For over fifteen years Marc has been a well known name in the Scottish hard dance scene. DJing in the countries biggest clubs and venues including the world renowned venue “The Arches”. Marc has been very diverse in his music direction when it comes to DJing over the years, but his true love has always been trance, ever since he fell in love with the album series “Reactivate” in the early 90’s. Some of his biggest inspiration has came from Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten and David Forbes to name a few. In his DJ career Marc has been entrusted to warm the stage up for some huge acts such as Scott Brown, Kutski and Mickey Modelle. His biggest career achievement to date is warming up for the Clubland legends, Scooter, on their long overdue return to Scotland as the only Scottish date on their tour this event was a sell out. For the last two years Marc has worked hard at changing direction to get back to the genre he loves - TRANCE. Focusing more on production he has been in and out of the studio and has recently had his debut trance track aptly named “Diversion” released on David Forbes - Aria Digital Label. With huge support from Paul Van Dyk, Alex Di Stefano and lots more within the trance community. At the start of 2020 Marc has created his on online radio show “Diversion Radio” in which he shares his current favourite tracks each month. You can find this on Apple Music, Soundcloud and Mixcloud. Marc has future plans to develop , and has recently completed two further tracks. His aim is to build a fan base Globally and continue to create music for others to appreciate. |

Search | Add | 6 | Wouda | Wouter Brandenburg | While Wouda’s debut release might be tucked away at the back of the label’s catalogue, the sunny bounce of Bum On The Carpet’s ‘Mood Swing’ 12” is what kick-started the whole Dopeness Galore adventure. Already studying audio engineering and mastering, Wouda knew he wanted to work with sounds at an early age. But it was the urge to craft a simple combination of live-sounding MPC and Rhodes that formed the idea behind the single. In true DIY-style, Wouda pressed it up onto vinyl and dealt it out by hand until they were all gone. While running the label has meant that Wouda’s time on the MPC has taken a back seat, his production vision has only gotten wider. Taking inspiration from visionary greats like Prince, Quincy Jones, Fela Kuti, Theo Parrish, King Tubby, and Larry Levan, he’s dead set on a mission to seek out the heavy blissful vibes, whoever makes them. |

Search | Add | 6 | Carl Thien | Grew up in Long Island a little too young to be fully part of the first wave NYC CBGB/Max's scenes, but nonetheless able to get into shows, which became a huge influence on future endeavors. Enjoyed music discussions with Jimi LaLumia, who worked in a local Sam Goody's and guided me to my first independent record store, Norlee's in Ronkonkoma. First studio recordings were with Vial Of Life, all friends and from the same area. Moved to Boston in 1983 and played in Sinn Fein, then fell in love with the Paisley Underground sound. Moved to Los Angeles by invite of David Roback to play in post-Clay Allison band, which didn't quite work out. Fell in love with the Nardcore and skate scene in LA and super fast hardcore with Ill Repute as favorite band. Jammed several times with Sylvia Juncosa. Moved to Santa Cruz. Moved back to Boston and joined GingerBread Men, bringing the NYC/Paisley/HC unlikely blend into songs. Started Gull Records and put out a GBM 7" (another came out on Arf Arf). More studio recordings were made at the time which have become a new Gull Records release. Became a College radio DJ, first at Harvard's WHRB, then Boston College's WZBC (Gulls Window Circus still airs every Tuesday 5-7pm EST). Formed Turkish Delight after seeing Kudgel at a Billy Ruane Birthday show, blending that sound with west coast bands such as Oiler, and the Atlanta band Pineal Ventana. In 2017 started the art punk band Gull Boy, currently in its fifth lineup and going strong.

Search | Add | 6 | SpiderSimpson | SpiderSimpson are a Rock/Alternative band consisting of members Adam Zindani (vocals/guitar), Sam Yapp (drums), Jo Crofts (guitar), Neil Irving (bass), and Dean Deavall (keyboards). The band was originally formed as 'Casino' in 2003 and changed name following their signing to Polydor in 2006. The band played their first home gig at 'The Railway' music bar in Birmingham during September 2003. Soon after, they were approached to submit five songs for a film company - which were later to become the basis of the soundtrack for the Ultimate Pictures film - 'Global Heresy' starring Alicia Silverstone & Martin Clunes, ironically depicting the trials and tribulations of an up and coming rock'n'roll band. Over the next year, the band went on to build a loyal fan base from the roots up by gigging extensively around the U.K, including supports slots with the Stereophonics, which culminated in being invited to open the Stereophonics 2005 UK tour. During 2005 a self-produced demo caught the attention of the newly formed midlands based rock-radio station - Kerrang, who decided to playlist the band's song 'Lose Myself' during prime time listening hours. The subsequent increase in popularity saw the band continuing to play small local venues and supporting The Suffrajets on their UK tour. 'Lose myself' and 'Heavy metal machine' were both heavily featured for the Gumball 2006 TV show. The band were signed to Polydor in Spring 2006 and recorded their debut album at studio 606 in LA with producer Nick Raskulinecz. The band has seen constant support from Kerrang Radio and local and national fans and have also seen radio support from both Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics. They recently completed the Kerrang Radio Breakthrough Tour with other newley signed bands. But 2007 was a quiet year for the band as Adam became heavily involved with touring with Stereophonics as their live guitarist. Appearing on Radio One's Big Weekend, Later... With Jools Holland, The Friday Night Project, Q Awards and many other shows. He was also hugely involved in the promotion for Stereophonics sixth studio album Pull The Pin. He looks set to continue touring across Europe with the band this year [2008].

Search | Add | 6 | Mikalveli | Mikal Battle | Just like Texas, Florida, L.A., and currently the A.T.L. has been the “It Factor, the go to place for all things music” North Carolina is getting in where it fits in and is taking the reins. North Carolina is on the rise for music artist and it’s their time to shine. We have already witnessed some very accomplished talent come out of North Carolina like J.Cole, Fantasia, Petey Pablo and most recently DaBaby. There is a upcoming artist in the making who will be just the one to bring it home to North Carolina and make North Carolina the new go to place to scout talent. His name is Mikal Battle but in the music game you will find him going by the name Mikalveli aka Veli Baby. Mikalveli was born February 6, 1993 and calls North Carolina home, Greensboro to be exact. He doesn’t forget his original home town roots and so he represents both the (252) and (336) area codes but he is definitely riding and grinding for Greensboro. Veli’s music goes back to around 4th grade when his mom bought him his first electric guitar. He always had an ear for music oddly enough he couldn’t read music however he didn’t allow that to stop him because he learned to play by ear. If that isn’t enough to make you want to listen to his music and learn more about this guy then I don’t know what will. Maybe once you check out his Mix Tape “Blood Money” you will truly understand his talent and his potential as a great upcoming artist. Mikalveli went on to continue on his music path throughout Middle school by playing in the band, again still never learning to read music and only playing by ear. He was so talented he was recruited by the High School band coach. However, Mikalveli turned it down as he was all about girls then and wanted to get into sports. This caused a slight hiatus for Veli Baby from the music game. It took Veli’s uncle to be released from prison to realize his love for music hadn’t fully left. His uncle had a note book with raps he wrote in prison and Veli picked up the notebook, memorized the lyrics and would go to school rapping them. In turn Veli grew a fan base and realized not only could he learn to play instruments by ear but he also had a talent for rapping and started writing his own. In 2012, he met a guy named Major who produced music and started making music in the house with him and it was discovered Mikalveli had a real future in music as a rap artist. When asked who are some of his influences Veli does not hesitate to mention 50 Cent and the G-unit crew, but Veli definitely has a sound and energy of his own. Fast forward to 2019 by now Mikalveli has perfected his craft and has ran into none other than Sir Classic, C.E.O. of Dictator Records. Sir Classic has been in the game since 1997 and has made not only a name for himself but helped in the careers of many upcoming and established Atlanta artist. Sir Classic was promoting music between Atlanta and North Carolina when he saw the need for all the upcoming artist coming from North Carolina to have an outlet, to get their music out so he decided to stay in North Carolina for about a couple of months. While there, Sir Classic did his typical business guru move and created that outlet for the artist in the local area. Sir Classic was at a local gas station promoting his music, when he met Mikalveli and they soon exchanged contact information and later on linked up to work together and that led Veli to sign with Dictator Records. Sir Classic had organized a weekly open mic at a local club and started hosting and DJing at the open mic as a way to scout new artist and for them to have a place to showcase their musical talent. After the weekly open mic had come to an end, Sir Classic started to put his attention towards Veli and rebranding the label in the Carolina market. The one talent who stood out the most over his course of time there was none other than Mikalveli. Sir Classic saw the potential in Veli and decided to sign him to the label because in words, “Mikalveli was not only confident but he was humble.” Sir Classic appreciates artists that are teachable and who like Mikalveli want to learn the music business. Sir Classic sees not only the potential in North Carolina but he sees it in his new protege Mikalveli and both are about to make their mark in a major way. When you see that North Carolina and Mikalveli are both on the map due to Sir Classic’s vision be sure to recognize that the vision was set in motion. |

Search | Add | 6 | Nazarene Plague | American Brutal/Technical Death Metal band from Farmingdale, New York. Originally started as a solo-project of Mike Ray in 2008, later recruiting DarkFrost/Horns of Belial drummer Rob Donohue. The classic lineup formed in 2009 when Donohue moved from drums to lead vocals, and another Horns of Belial member Mike DeFilippi took over on drums. They recorded several demos, and played shows all around Long Island and New York City including shows with Cannibal Corpse, Carcinogen, and many more. One illegal backyard show directly adjacent to Farmingdale's Main Street with The D-Gen's led to the arrest of Rob Donohue. Disbanded in 2010 during the recording of the "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, recorded by and planned for release by Infernal Trinity Records, with artwork commissioned by Josh "Leech" Jacobson, the artist who drew The D-Gen's "Gods of the Godless" EP cover. Guitarist/songwriter Mike Ray is still musically active despite his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lead singer Rob Donohue passed away in 2019. Infernal Trinity Records has released a set of 250 hand-numbered limited edition Rob Donahue Memorial cards with lyrics contributed by Thorns of the Carrion's Allen L. Scott II, the first 100 of which come with a reprint of the "Lullaby for the Aborted" promo flyers reproduced from the original 2010 files. Nazarene Plague had many other Donohue-Penned songs that never got recorded, including "Inflicting the Mortal Wound", "Devliver us to Evil", "Near Death Experience", The New Life" and "Humani Holocaustum". Unreleased: "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, 2010. Recorded by Kenny Jockel for Infernal Trinity Records. 1. Murderer 2. Sacrificial Suicide 3. Rancid Feast 4. Lullaby for the Aborted 5. Immortality Through Homicide 6. Spectral Slaughter (Instrumental) 7. The Nazarene Plague Rehearsal Demo 2010 - Like the 2009 "Nazarene Plague" demo CD they've recorded this entire demo live in rehearsal multiple times. Also like the previous demo, ones that they found unsatisfactory were deleted. Two complete copies were kept but the band broke up before they could ever put them out as a demo CD, which they planned to do after Infernal Trinity Records released "Lullaby for the Aborted". The two versions can be told apart by the absence of a guitar solo on the first version of "Reduced to Ash". "37 86" is a 9 minute instrumental heavily influenced by the neoclassical guitar shred subgenre. 1. The American Pipe Dream 2. Reduced to Ash 3. 37 86

Search | Add | 6 | Diamond Haze | Diamond Haze is an electronic music project started in Budapest under a different name after the members Gábor and Milán got introduced through Milán's brother. Gábor, a seasoned bassist with a musical journey tracing back to high school bands, unites with Milán, a vinyl aficionado whose eclectic collection and DJ sets span from early trance to modern disco. They had their first joint session in 2015 in an old building in the Csepel Industrial Park which was used for band rehearsals also by the one Gábor was a part of. Diamond Haze's unique sound was born — a harmonious fusion of their distinct musical backgrounds and innovative perspectives. Evolving over time, their studio setup grew and the tracks also got much groovier.
