Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | György Galántai | György Galántai (born June 17, 1941) is a Hungarian neo-avant-garde and fluxus artist, organizer of the events of the Chapel Studio in Balatonboglár which run from 1970 to 1973 and founder of the Artpool Art Research Center Budapest. During the Communist Era of Hungary, he organized illegal, underground avant-garde exhibitions and therefore he was considered to be a "dangerous element" by the Party for spreading western propaganda, and was monitored by secret police, who opened the file "Painter" solely documenting his activity. From the late seventies he started an intense correspondence with fellow artist all over the world, joining into the network of mail art even despite the Iron Curtain limited his access for information. In 1979 he created an archive for these correspondences and other documents which he collected on Hungarian neo-avantgarde movements and initiated [a6706421] which became the largest archive of new mediums such as fluxus, visual poetry, artists' book, mail art, artistamp etc. in Central Europe.

Search | Add | 6 | Bob Suren | Bob Suren founded Burrito Records in 1991 to release a 7" by one of his early bands, Flaming Midget. The Flaming Midget "Midget Melodies: Short Songs For The Very Short" has become somewhat of a cult record. 500 copies were made in a single pressing. Suren was the bassist in Flaming Midget, but played both bass and guitar on the record because the band didn't want to work with the original guitarist anymore. Flaming Midget played just two live shows: Aug 10, 1990 and Aug 16, 1990 -- both in their hometown of Stuart, FL. After Flaming Midget, Suren started Failure Face in 1992 with Rob Sexton of Slap Of Reality and John Tucci of E.B.S. He formed pen pal friendships with Sexon and Tucci while he was studying journalism at the University Of Florida. These friendships eventually led Suren to leave his hometown of Stuart, FL and move to Brandon, FL where he would open the world-famous punk rock record store Sound Idea in 1995, which he ran until Oct 2008. Failure Face really got off the ground in the spring of 1993 when a revamped line up played their first show, made their first record, appeared on the "It's A Florida Thing" 7" compilation (Toy Box Records, 1993) and went on their first tour, all in a very short period of time. Failure Face lasted until Aug 31, 1996. In their time, Failure Face released four records and appeared posthumously on the "Amnesia" compilation album (Ebullition Records). In 2003, Suren the complete works of Failure Face as the "Complete Failure" CD on his own Burrito Records label. After the break up of Failure Face, Suren had an itch to keep playing music, so he called up his old friend John Tucci and Slap Of Reality guitarist Joe Kiser, with whom he had only a nodding relationship at the time. These three worked on songs for a few weeks in the fall of 1997 before calling in former Failure face bassist Kevin Shanahan to join their group. In 1998, MSP released two records. Over the next several years the band floated in and out of dormancy, breaking up and reforming several times. In 2008, after a 3 year hiatus, Murder-Suicide Pact reformed. Also in 2008, the withering world economy forced Suren to close his beloved record shop as well as the Burrito label. Burrito released 29 titles, including Scrotum Grinder, Combat Wounded Veteran, h100s, Control De Estado, Hated Youth, Roach Motel, F, Gay Cowboys In Bondage, Death Sentence, Reason Of Insanity and many more. Suren has also played bass in the band Gross National Product and drums in John Madden And The Electric Condoms. Both bands have vinyl releases to their credit.

Search | Add | 6 | The Past Travellers | Tom, (lead vocal, keys, machines) and Pierre, (guitars & backing vocals) are both born in the 90’s but the power of their imagination led them musically another way. Those 2 young men are actually born in the 60’s and take a walk with their youth in a retro-futuristic decade, a sort of temporal hole, somewhere between the 70’s and the 80’s. They were volunteers for a trip in a time machine, this duet now finds itself propelled into 2016. Equipped only with their instruments and their knowledge, The Past Travellers are here to regale our ears with revisited timeless pearls of disco-funk . They are heart brothers with Chic, Imagination, Michael Jackson, George Duke, Giorgio Moroder, Earth Wind & Fire. They also have an infinite connection with Daft Punk, Todd Terje and Mark Ronson… Great music, I’m sure you’ll agree, in such a family.

With the rise of digital presences in our post-pandemic world, most notably with the origin of the Facebook ‘Meta-Verse’, where we won’t be limited to the absence of our physical entities on social media, WJX explores these ideas with their hyper-surreal pieces. Their works combine inspirations from nature and the physical human form with concepts of a technological future, such as hybrid creatures, apocalyptic prophecies and the possible futures for our world, all using 3D rendering tools and photography that question our future ahead with the rise of digital opportunities. |

He was raised on a steady diet of classic US House and techno in the Midwest and is a forward thinking and talented dj and producer, spending his time between Chicago, Berlin and Moscow. In his native city Roustam is well known for being the resident dj and main booker of the notorious Gipsy club. In the span of only two years Gipsy has become the premier destination for techno and house music in the Russian capital. The club's varied and all-encompassing program, which Roustam is responsible for, has featured a wide spectrum of great modern electronic artists, from Art Department and Nicolas Jaar to Ben Klock and Petre Inspirescu! In Gipsy and other places around the country Roustam has promoted events and performed with the who is who of cutting edge dance music. He has become known for comfortably fitting in as a back 2 back partner with many of his guests such as Matt Tolfrey, Droog, Clive Henry, Valentino Kanzyani, Seuil and the notoriously meticulous Romanians — Petre Inspirescu, Priku and Praslea. These daring journey sets have showcased Roustam's fluid and original style. As a solo performer Roustam has visited most parts of his native Russia along with great destinations in Europe and USA. He has crafted complex, engaging and usually extended sets which perfectly combined all sides of house and reduced elastic techno for such great party brands as Concrete in Paris, Half-Baked in London, Kontrast in Belgium and Just Wax in Berlin. Every month he continues to captivate club audiences everywhere from Oslo to Kiev. His debut solo record "Rustospace" was signed to the respected All Inn record label. It was released to much industry and critical acclaim on their new sister label Nilla in March of 2013 and is one of the label's all time top sellers as of now! "Rustospace" features a mind-bending remix from the talented Romanian duo NoiDoi. Special Case have also a record in the pipeline with Turquoise Blue, featuring an outstanding Seuil remix. Search | Add | 6 | SpiderSimpson | SpiderSimpson are a Rock/Alternative band consisting of members Adam Zindani (vocals/guitar), Sam Yapp (drums), Jo Crofts (guitar), Neil Irving (bass), and Dean Deavall (keyboards). The band was originally formed as 'Casino' in 2003 and changed name following their signing to Polydor in 2006. The band played their first home gig at 'The Railway' music bar in Birmingham during September 2003. Soon after, they were approached to submit five songs for a film company - which were later to become the basis of the soundtrack for the Ultimate Pictures film - 'Global Heresy' starring Alicia Silverstone & Martin Clunes, ironically depicting the trials and tribulations of an up and coming rock'n'roll band. Over the next year, the band went on to build a loyal fan base from the roots up by gigging extensively around the U.K, including supports slots with the Stereophonics, which culminated in being invited to open the Stereophonics 2005 UK tour. During 2005 a self-produced demo caught the attention of the newly formed midlands based rock-radio station - Kerrang, who decided to playlist the band's song 'Lose Myself' during prime time listening hours. The subsequent increase in popularity saw the band continuing to play small local venues and supporting The Suffrajets on their UK tour. 'Lose myself' and 'Heavy metal machine' were both heavily featured for the Gumball 2006 TV show. The band were signed to Polydor in Spring 2006 and recorded their debut album at studio 606 in LA with producer Nick Raskulinecz. The band has seen constant support from Kerrang Radio and local and national fans and have also seen radio support from both Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics. They recently completed the Kerrang Radio Breakthrough Tour with other newley signed bands. But 2007 was a quiet year for the band as Adam became heavily involved with touring with Stereophonics as their live guitarist. Appearing on Radio One's Big Weekend, Later... With Jools Holland, The Friday Night Project, Q Awards and many other shows. He was also hugely involved in the promotion for Stereophonics sixth studio album Pull The Pin. He looks set to continue touring across Europe with the band this year [2008].

A decade ago when I was learning about what it means to be a professional photographer, I was advised to pick a style of photography and stick to it. I never quite figured out how to pull that off, and thank goodness for that. Now my days are never dull (except for when I want them to be of course), they are filled with weddings and portraiture and touring with bands as a music photographer, and creating surrealist art pieces with the photos captured between the gigs and the vows. |

Search | Add | 6 | Dirk Karpenkiel | Dirk Karpenkiel | Dirk was born in Krefeld in the lower rhine area near Düsseldorf (Germany). His father, and the twin brother of his father, were also musicians in the 60ties & 70ties. Dirk was for example growing up in the "Guru Guru Haus" very deep in the Odenwald (Odin Woods) near Heidelberg for some years, getting in contact with all kind of instruments, crazy freaks, krautrock & thick air from a lot of smoke ! At one gig of the band Guru Guru, he was even Elektrolurch ! Maybe you know what Elektrolurch is. He fell to the ground because of a cable, and people had fun, but this is another story... Nowadays he is putting out music under the pseudonyms Amp-err, Pndk12770 & Van Kraut. He is releasing his music on his own label Aggregat Records with the sublabel Jedentag Musik. The music is more or less to put in the Electronic Genre (Electro, House, Techno, Minimal, TripHop, New Wave, etc.). |

But after the first tryouts he got deeper into it and started to improve his producing skills to create serious hardcore tracks. After four years of producing he made his first release "Where's My... Remix?!". He founded "Dopamin Records" in 2005 in order to release his tracks and to organize parties in Germany. He has also a freaking liveshow. Since mid 2008 N-Dorphin is not active anymore. Timo has focused on the Vannacut alias in order to continue different style. |
