Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Pitt Linder | Wolfgang E. Linder | Swiss musician, recording engineer, radio-host, PA-builder etc. from Basel. Wolfgang E. (Pitt) Linder was born in Bern on 8 April 1924. Studied violin and clarinet at the Bern Music Conservatory, before discovering the tenor saxophone and American jazz which he helped introduce to Switzerland through orchestras and bands. He started out to play in some local Basel Jazz combos together with his brother Albert Linder in the early 50s. His first Rock & Roll record (Heartbreak Hotel b/w Minor Rock by Die Rock & Rollers) came out as a vinyl 45 back in ca. 1956/1957 on Tell Records. By 1957 he would become a recording artist for Grammoclub Ex Libris. From 1957 on until ca. into the early 1970's Big Pitt Linder would also be hosting his own weekly radio show on the national Swiss Basel Radio, where he would usually play some music by his own bands, mixed with lots of music by other bands. He used to record and a t times conducted hundreds of records for Ex Libris, and some other labels. Those records were usually recorded at Landgasthof Riehen (Basel), or at Radio DRS, Basel. His firm Linder Electronics, Basel, installed sound systems in discos, auditoriums and concert halls. The PA-system from the first Swiss Rolling Stones concert in Zürich was built by Pitt Linder. His undertaking used to be called "Linder Electronics" back then. Linder Electronics existed from the early 60s until around the mid '80s. Pitt Linder used to build the PA's for most of the local Basel Beat-bands from the 60s in order so that they could play in bigger venues. By the mid-60s virtually nobody would remember him as an old Jazz, and Rock & Roll musician anymore, but he built the PA system for the Montreux Jazz Festival. Later on towards the late 80s he moved to New Jersey, USA, to become a famous recording engineer (for mostly classical music) in New York City. He designed and installed the sound and light system for the Swiss Pavilion for the World Expo in Tsukuba Japan (1985). The last 14 years of his life were spent in Victoria BC Canada where he enjoyed hiking and the renowned classical and jazz community. He was a friend to the Victoria Conservatory of Music, who established a Pitt Linder Memorial Fund for young musicians after his death at the age of 94 on 1 December 2018. |

Verona, 02/01/2023

Search | Add | 5 | Croskill | Brazilian Heavy Metal Band. Croskill is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 1989 and was active until 1998. During the years of activity the band recorded two songs on the compilation Whiplash Attack Vol. 1 and an album entitled Escape into Fantasies, considered the first heavy metal concept album in Brazil, released on vinyl in 1991 by the Rock Brigade Records label. Croskill's music during this period reveals striking nuances and rhythmic variations, showing the musical and timeless quality of his work. Bringing influences ranging from 80's heavy metal to 70's progressive rock. Easily identifiable, its sound immediately takes us to the contemporaneity of these musical styles. In 2013, the band got together for a single performance at the renowned Festival DoSol in Natal, in the Northeast of Brazil. This show ended up making the founding members Eri Soares (bass) and Jucian Lima (vocals and drums) feel the impetus to return to activities that ended early. After a few years, more specifically in 2021, during the period of the covid pandemic, the two teamed up again and started composing new songs. This work brings a more avant-garde approach than the music practiced previously, thus presenting a natural maturation in his work, already rich in details and with very elaborate lyrics, a characteristic that is also remarkable in his work. Currently Croskill has Jucian Lima (vocals and drums), Eri Soares (bass), Karim Serri (guitar) and Denilton Falcão (guitar), and is preparing to release new material in 2023, songs with a current footprint , mixing new trends like psychedelic space rock and stoner rock to their progressive metal. Check out Croskill's unique and original work and stay tuned for new releases coming soon and see Croskill at the forefront of Brazilian metal.

Search | Add | 5 | Kiley Joe Masson | Kiley Joe Masson was born on October 6th 1975 and grew up in the town of Princeton, ON, and it was here he honed his skills as a vocalist and a rock and roll piano player. Early in his career Kiley Joe was mentored and directed by Bill ‘OJ’ Oja, the former manager of Maple Street in the 70’s and Terry Sumsion in the early 80’s. Bill went on to work as a reporter for the Country Music News while maintaining his fulltime job with the Hamilton Board of Education. In July of 1993 Kiley Joe won his category in the ‘Male Eighteen and Under’ at the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest held in Simcoe, ON. On December 4th 1993 his original song “Sitting In The Corner Of A Bar-Room,” was recorded and produced by none other than Larry Mercey. In early 1994 the song was released to radio on a special CD produced by the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest Board. Between January 23rd and March 1st 1994 Kiley Joe and Thom Ryerson partook in a song-writing course together with eight other people, presented through Fanshawe College in Woodstock, ON, and taught by singer/songwriter Jack (Flinsenberg) London. Kiley Joe discussed his own composition ‘Sittin’ In The Corner Of A Bar-Room’ while Thom presented his original song ‘Prey Time.’ The entire class wrote a song together called ‘Classified Love.’ Over the years Jack London has pushed his own version of ‘Classified Love’ at various websites, production companies and record labels, to absolutely no avail. In 1999 Kiley Joe released a song he wrote in high school called ‘A Soldier’s Memories.’ This composition is regularly featured on radio each and every Remembrance Day. In November of 2001 Kiley Joe participated in ‘Showcase 2001’ in Brantford. Columnist Glen Silverthorn reported, “This young man has it all: extreme talent on the keyboards and a fabulous voice. Once again he was a crowd favourite as he brought to life to many a country song from his extensive repertoire.” Kiley Joe knows close to a thousand songs from country to jazz, from the fifties to the sixties, and is a tremendous entertainer in his own right. After working as a single act for more than fifteen years, Kiley Joe currently performs with a five piece band at jamborees and country music festivals across Southern Ontario. When he’s not performing his own shows, he plays piano in the band Sweet Dreams backing Amberley Beatty’s ‘Legendary Patsy Cline Tour.’ He also plays piano and harmonica in the Butcher Holler Boys for the ‘Loretta Lynn Show,’ also presented by Amberley Beatty. As well, he plays piano and harmonica in two Robert Gill tributes; ‘The Waylon Jennings/Highwaymen Show’ and the ‘George Jones Show.’ Kiley Joe’s father, Paul, organizes the Crimson Hollow Barn Dance, which is held on his farm in Vienna, ON. Several years ago Kiley Joe was looking for a bass player to play at Crimson Hollow, and met bassist/vocalist Paul Newell. Kiley Joe incorporates Paul into as many projects as possible. Paul is about as Thunderbird as you can get. Both Paul Newell and Kiley Joe are regulars in Fred Lewis’ country outfit “Ridin’ High,” based in Woodstock. The three aforementioned musicians are all very well acquainted with the Commercial Tavern in Maryhill, ON. Presently Kiley Joe is playing with his band ‘The Rhythm Associates’ with Dale Rivard on steel guitar, Don Maxwell on bass, Ray Ovington on drums, and Kiley Joe singing, playing keyboards, and saxophone. On October 19th 2017 Kiley Joe and Paul Newell performed live at a talk given by Thom Ryerson at the Burford Public Library. Christmas with Kiley Joe was held on December 7th 2019 at Old St. Paul’s Anglican Church in downtown Woodstock. His show was followed by seasonal treats and beverages.

TVTM). He’s since released a series of records alongside artists like Gerald Donald, DJ Stingray, DMX Krew, and Optimo. As TVTM, Dahlberg explores the tension between nature and technology, drawing upon broad influences to create works ranging from ambient textures to moody dance floor grooves. Search | Add | 5 | Pionirski dom | The "Pionirski Dom" Residence is an international studio (audio) meeting that connects the contemporary music with authorship in poetry. It is a platform for international co-operation and partnership in the field of exchange of ideas, programmes and projects, of the mobility of artists as well as of the affirmation of the contemporary music and literary expression. Apart from its dedication to music and literary expression, this co-operation interferes with the new technologies as well. The combination of contemporary music genres and contemporary poetry indicates complexity of a programme that should grow with the expressibility of its kindred artists. The programme foresees a synchronicity of artistic expressions from the idea towards the resulting working process, the appliance and the development of the latest technology of sound engineering and last but not least, a live performance that will be recorded and released. The updated contemporary approach of the Residence includes the development of new directions in the very approach to production of sounds and spoken words as well as an open-minded attitude about every music genre paving thus the way for new potential and opportunities for interaction.

Search | Add | 5 | Sharib - Toshi | Muhammad Ovez Sabri, popularly known as Toshi Sabri, is a singer of Rajasthan's Sabri Family. Toshi specializes in many genres ranging from Qawwali to Pop. He was also the lead playback singer in the film Raaz 2 in a song titled "Maahi". His next project was Jashn as a full-time music director. Toshi Sabri was born in Punjab, India but later moved to Jaipur in Rajasthan. Sabri, being from a musical family, started singing at an early age. Sabri's father is a classical Indian musician. Sharib Sabri, his brother, also belongs to the musical field and has participated in a few musical contests as well. Toshi has often mentioned his struggle after coming to Mumbai since the previous two years before being chosen to feature on Amul Star Voice of India. He left his studies before taking his 12th standard exams, and thus he couldn't find a decent job in Mumbai. Wanting to prove himself as a singer and get a big break, he sang at weddings, parties, occasions, restaurants, and even in a bar. As A Singer Toshi started his official music career from the film Raaz - The Mystery Continues in the blockbuster track Maahi. He along with his sibling and finalist of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 Sharib Sabri composed the superhit track of Maahi and Maahi Rock With Me version. He was a finalist in the Amul Star Voice of India which kickstarted his career and he has never looked back since then. He even sang a Telugu song "Seheri" along with Priya from the movie OY! composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and lyrics penned by Surendra Krishna, Krishna Chaitanya. He sang a very soulful song " Waqt Ki Dhoop " for Daboo Malik in the movie Kissan. He also sang a song “Vaada Raha” for the movie, Vaada Raha - I Promise. He is also one of the music directors of this film along with the living legend in music Babbu Maan, starring Bobby Deol and Kangana Ranaut . As a Composer Toshi and Sharib have composed the Maahi track of Raaz 2. They have also composed the whole album of Jashnn - a movie from Vishesh films. Although rumoured otherwise, Toshi does not hail from the Jaipur Sabri family of Qawwals. This fact was established by a direct question to the family who had performed in November in a concert organised by Delhi Government's Sahitya Kala Parishad.
