Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Iain Flitcroft | Iain was born in Preston, Lancashire. The family loved music and Iain quickly expressed a desire to play the piano. Lessons began at the age of 6 and by the age of 15, Iain had passed all 8 Grades with the Royal School of Music. At the age of 10, Iain joined the church choir and was enthralled by the sound of the pipe organ. So at the age of 12, having reached Grade 6 on the Piano, Iain was regularly deputising for church services and by 16 was organist and choirmaster of his own church, St Paul’s Faringdon, Preston. As a Christmas present Iain was given an LP of William Davies playing the Granada Kingston Wurlitzer. This was followed by a trip with his parents to Blackpool Tower and an Organist Association visit to the Paramount Organ Studios in Bolton. By the end of this, Iain was hooked on the sound of the Theatre Organ. Iain’s Father was determined to find the best possible teacher and contacted Ernest Broadbent in Blackpool. Ernest had retired a couple of years earlier as Resident Organist at the Tower Ballroom where he had taken over from Reginald Dixon. Ernest agreed to take Iain on as a pupil. Iain eventually spent three years playing for First Leisure in Blackpool on the piers, In the Winter Gardens and, of course, in the world famous Tower Ballroom. Since then, Iain has played virtually all of the theatre organ venues in the UK as well as regular concert trips to Holland | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Санаторий Тараскуль | Sanatoriy Taraskul (Russian: Санаторий Тараскуль) is a post-punk project formed in 2021 in Tyumen, Russia, by brothers [a=Aleksandr Simbirskiy] and [a=Jesse Foster (4)]. Their music blends Eastern European post-punk and coldwave with influences from synthpop, Siberian punk/garage rock, alternative rock/metal, and even death and black metal. Sanatoriy Taraskul's sound is characterized by simple yet effective minor key melodies, complemented by a cold, muddy and reverbed soundscape. This is punctuated by darker chromatic licks, unexpected modulations, noise-like distortion, and occasional brighter sections that contrast with the lyrics. Lyricist and band ideologue Aleksandr Simbirskiy draws inspiration from the darker aspects of the human life. His lyrics explore themes of depression, bleak landscapes, fractured relationships, societal cruelty, and mental and emotional suffering. These often result in songs marked by raw despair and negativity, offering unambiguously desperate answers to existential questions. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Gary Wakenhut | Multi-instrument musician from Michigan Gary Wynn Wakenhut of Vanderbilt, MI, (formerly of Lakeview) passed away at Hiland Cottage Hospice House in Petoskey on February 22, 2017. He was born in 1940 in Jackson, Michigan to Wynn and Arlene Wakenhut. When Gary was 10 years old, his mother gave him the clarinet she had played in high school. She also quoted Albert Switzer as saying, “You will never know how much your music will mean to you.” And indeed, music was a profound influence in his life. He played in bands and orchestras; in Ann Arbor and Northville high schools, MSU’s marching and concert bands, his own big band and the Flat River Big Band, Greenville’s Danish Band, numerous pit orchestras and community bands and choirs, The Grand Rapids Symphonic Band and Chamber Winds. He met Anne Wunsch, in the Traverse City Symphony and they were married June 11, 1966 in Omena. They created a musical duo (The Collecting Consort) that performed throughout Michigan for over 30 years. Gary earned his BA in Radio and Television Production from MSU in 1962 and worked as the supervisor of recording at Interlochen for 10 years. He returned to MSU and earned an MA in Guidance and Personnel Services in 1968. He worked as a counselor for 10 years at the Montcalm County Mental Health Center and in a private practice for 15 years. He also taught part time at Montcalm Community College. Following Albert Switzer’s example, Gary devoted his life to “making this world a better place”. It gave him great joy to encourage everyone he met to reach their greatest potential. Throughout his life he volunteered in many capacities including Hospice of Michigan, Montcalm County Commission on Aging, church committees, prisons re-entry programs, Lakeview Seniors (he originated), and many other community organizations. He was known as the “Flute Man” (a Certified Music Practitioner) in many hospitals, Hospice and assisted living facilities. He and Anne traveled to New Orleans after Katrina to play music at Christmas and also taught at an orphanage in Kenya. In 2014, Gary and Anne moved to Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat where he created promotional videos and worked on many environmental and developmental committees. He produced 13 Collecting Consort recordings, wrote and produced numerous radio programs for NPR, and many DVD’s. He trained as a Spiritual Director through the Grand Rapids Dominican Center, accompanying many in their spiritual journey. He wrote a book for parents and produced many programs for school assemblies, church programs and other organizations. He was a serious gardener who loved to share his knowledge and the fruits of his labor with everyone. He was a kind, patient, accepting, creative soul who deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is now gently nurturing seedlings and making healing music on the other side. Gary is survived by his wife of fifty years, Anne Wakenhut of Vanderbilt; daughter, Jennifer (Jerry) Johnson of Winn and son, Michael Wakenhut of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Jessup Hetzman (Jessica Mikel) of Alma, Alyshia (Jordan) Ramon of Crystal, Kane Johnson of Winn, Kaleb Hetzman (Brittinie Finch) of Riverdale, Westyn Gary Holmes, Annie Jane Holmes and Jamie Johnson of Winn; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Isabelle, Casey, Matthew, Kayden, Luke and Greyson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Jane Wunsch Isaacsen and fathers-in-law Dr. Richard Wunsch and Ernest Isaacsen. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Delest | Delest | DELEST is a melodic punk rock band formed in 2016 in Castelló de La Plana (Spain) and our influences come from Californian punkrock. You know: Bad Religion, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon,... 5 albums and many concerts all over the Peninsula and an international tour in England endorse our musical career without counting the previous experience in different bands of each one of us. "PERSISTENCIA" is our new EP. Recorded, mastered and produced by Raúl Artana at Rockaway Studios in Castellón and mixed and arranged by Angus Cooke in Santa Barbara (California) who has worked with the best melodic punk rock bands: Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut, The Ataris,... It consists of 4 songs that brim with this melodic punk rock where the octaves, the background vocals and the vocal melody are the main protagonist. 20 Chords Records is our trusted independent label and we have been with them almost since we started. In "PERSISTENCIA" we narrate the incessant walk that has made our bones heavier and our hinges creak. Yet we have not stopped for a moment to row towards what we want to be. A punk rock band that brings out the energy from the skull, that shoots at will and leaves in each concert until the last drop of sweat piling up bruises in this sea of music. Here you have PERSISTENCE, our new EP. We hope you like it as much as we are doing. |

Loucks' approach constantly challenges the established traditions, the "conventional wisdom" and the "best practices" - not only how music sounds, but how music is used and how it communicates. And these fresh approaches continually garner widely acknowledged praise. Being an active composer and musician in the music scene for many years, he has served several composer residencies, and has toured North America full-time as concert pianist and multi-keyboardist in a variety of bands and orchestras. Currently, Loucks can also be found sitting in with choirs, bands, and orchestras, for various performing and recording projects. Loucks played in such bands as "RACER", "YOURSELF", "TIN EAR", "THE LARCH", and "ELLIS AND LYNCH". |

| Search | Add | 5 | St. Dennis Male Voice Choir | History of St.Dennis Male Voice Choir by Arnold Best The Choir was formed 1922. The Musical Director was Mr. M. Kessell, he had a boot and shoe repair shop at the bottom of Robartes Rd. One evening he called three or four of us together and we met in his shop, and suggested forming a Choir if enough men could be got together. Each of us promised we would try and create some interest by contacting friends, and others and report to Mr. Kessell the results. Mr. Kessell arranged for a meeting at a Mr. Henwood's Cafe which was at the entrance of Robartes Rd. There were between twenty or thirty men who came; all were interested that a choir should be formed and a choir was born. A Mr. August Greenslade was the pianist/ organist. A. Best was Hon. Sec. and Mr. P. Williams was Treas. Mr.Greenslade later went to Canada, and a Mr. R. Roberts took his job as organist. The choir had thirty-six members and after a time, began to take engagements around the district at various churches. Items were from the "Male Voice Sankey Book" then after a time they included in the programme "Comrades of Hope", "Newquay Fishermen Song", "In Absence, Evening", "Pastoral" etc. Each member used to pay ld or 2d a practice for use of room and music. Practice was Sunday morning from 10.30a.m to 12a.m. Mr. D.W. Giles took over the organ after Mr. R. Roberts owing to ill health. Mr. Kessell had to give up leading the Choir, which broke un for a time. Capt. Hedley Martin reformed it and the Choir went on for a few years, and began going to various Music Festivals, the first attempt was at Delabole, and they were awarded 1st prize. Mr. Melville Coombe became organist under Capt. Martin. The Choir gave their first Radio programme under H. Martin with St. Dennis Band at Foster Hall, Bodmin; it was called "St. Dennis Night". The 1939/1945, war came and the Choir broke up as members were called away. Mr. Stanley Treloar restarted the Choir after the war, he in turn, handed the Choir to his son Harold, Margaret Treloar was pianist. Under Harold the Choir again went on Radio and T.V. Harold went to Canada for a number of years. During his absence, the Choir had various Mus. Directors, among them Mr. A. E. Baker. Under him the Choir won at different Festivals, won the championship of West of England twice at Bournemouth. When he left the county a Mr. Harrison took over, then Mr. R. Polmounter, then Mr. L. Stanaway, Harold came home again and took the Choir and he is the present Musical Director. The Choir has become very popular, numerous concerts are given in the County and outside. Most members are drawn from outside of the village now. In 1975 the Choir made a record "in The Male Voice Mood" with guest soloist Jean Camps (contralto). Already over 3,006 copies have been sold. In 1976 the choir went to Wales and at the International Eisteddfodd at Llangollen was placed 6th out of 18 choirs. St.Dennis Male Voice Choir recently disbanded | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Danielius Pomerancas | Lithuanian violinist of Jewish descent. Born 1904 in Šiauliai, emigrated to Canada in 1974, died 1981. Daniel Pomerantz’s jazz-band was the best exponent of swinging orchestra in the interwar Lithuanian little stage. The band usually performed in Konradas cafe in Kaunas. Pomerantz studied violin with Itzhak Vildman-Zaidman at the Kaunas Juozas Naujalis School of Music and Willy Hess at the Berlin Conservatoire. In Vienna he attended master classes given by Bronisław Huberman, a renowned violin virtuoso. While in Berlin, Pomerantz played in cafes and Marek Weber orchestra, at the time one of the most popular orchestras in Europe. Upon returning to Kaunas around 1933, Pomerantz formed an ensemble of multiinstrumentalists. The ensemble performed in Konradas and Monika cafes and not before long started competing with the celebrated Hofmeklerband in terms of mastery. He liked to play solo violin in cafes; he played almost the entire violin repertoire fascinating his listeners by virtuoso passages and improvisations. In 1936, orchestra conducted by Pomerantz joined by recording studio orchestra members and soloist Antanas Dvarionas recorded for label Columbia 11 shellac records, featuring fashionable tangos, waltzes and foxtrots. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | General Music (2) | The band was formed on 4th of July 1998 when Mattias Nihlén, Isac Nordgren and drummer Andrew Smart decided to start playing together at their friend Roberts birthday party. They starting playing the day after with some compositions that Isac had done as a starting point. The concept of the band was to play instrumental music, influenced by the post rock wave that had emerged on the music scene, and Isacs initial inspiration came from bands like Mogwai, Trans Am and Slint. Their first live performances was played as a trio with Isac and Mattias sometimes changing between bass and guitar during the long compositions. The bass player Alexander Styhre, former in the band Nixon, was added after a while and the bands first record was mostly made as a quartet. The second record "Malmö Lund Milwaukee" (the title taken from the members living/birth cities) became a more loose project, recorded during the summer of 1999 by different members based on who was at home basically. Styhre was not part of the creative process more than adding some song titles and the band became a trio once again. Soon though they were joined by two friends and amazing musicians, Mattias Svensson (from the band Nooners) and Hans Appelqvist. The following two EP's, "The Kloster Days" (part one and two) are probably the band's finest recordings, and the quintet made a row of great live performances together. General Music's last album "Bangatan 2001" was made during a much longer and more professional (but less spontaneous) process. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Funky Monkey 141 | DJ, Producer, from Malta, born 14 July 1998. Owner of [l=141 Records]. Ever being in love with music, he began to study Althorn and piano getting great results. He was only 14 when he started finding his best musical expression through electronic music, and so he started to DJ. He’s also a producer, a job he considers different from that of a DJ, indeed the studio activity is based on a detailed research of updated sounds. Synth and drum-machine are some of his passions which he cannot help but use, considering essential the need of the hardware. At the age of 17 he launched his first single, “Back In Town”, which is part of his upcoming debut album The BIGinning. Funky Monkey was in the proses of signing a record deal, but since he refused to give a genre to his Tracks, the deal was not accepted. Therefore this meant that despite the music was accepted and up to all standards with the label’s releases because the music was not marketed in a specific genre it got rejected. In today’s society and social inclusion do music genre help? and 1st of all do we rely need to put music and art in boxes? With this mindset he started questioning why was he trying to sign himself with a label that has a boxed vision for music. This was the star of the 141 Records, seeing music as art irrespective of the genre. Another single from the album, "The BIGinning" was released in September 2017, along with its music video. This single, with Russian born artist Abel Nesian, is titled Robustus. Funky Monkey is also the producer for: Oxygyn, REA, Iviè Skies along side other artist and other side project. Funky Monkey's latest single "Let It Fly" ft. Katia Abela and Maria Ellul, with is part of the 141 universe. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Валера Коротин | Валерий Коротин | Author, Composer in Shanson Genre. |

| Search | Add | 5 | George Skrbina | George Skrbina was a Croatian American tamburitza muscian. He was born in Pupolica, Croatia (then part of Austria-Hungary) in 1906. As a child he was fascinated with tamburitza music, but being of limited financial means, his interest was nothing more than a dream. Having an agile and very imaginative mind, George devised a means of financing a tambura. He commandeered the services of two very productive chickens, whose eggs he sold. Before long, he had enough money in his treasury to purchase a tambura. He had to walk eight miles to buy it, but he had realized his dream. With this determination and background there was no way George was to be an ordinary tamburas. He practiced every minute he had available and became an outstanding musician. George came to the United States at the tender age of 14 and settled in Youngstown in 1929, where he immediately joined a band consisting of himself, Dave Zupkovich, Steve Belish, Matt Nenkovich, and Pete Vladkovich. His travels took him to Detroit, where he met Steve Pavlekovich and a life-long friendship developed. From here, as his abilities ascended, he went to New York, where he joined the Banat tamburitza band, a premier band at that time. In Youngstown, George formed the Balkan Serenaders, also a top band in that era and locality. George's appearances on TV and radio were many in the Ohio/Pennsylvania area. Over the years George taught many youngsters, including the Markulin brothers, Lou, Steve, and Tony, his son Rudy, and Libby Fill, the female all-time outstanding tamburas. George performed with many outstanding tamburasi. Among them are Steve Pavlekovich, Markulin Brothers, Dave Zupkovich, Johnny Krizancic, Mel Evanovich, Pete Radakovich, Marty Kapugi, and Joe Marmilich. George transposed many of the older songs which were composed in 4/4 or 3/4 time to 2/4 time, which produced a more lively type of music. The transition was very well accepted by many of the top bands in the country. Using the chromatic scale, he introduced to tamburitza the cello, which gave tambura music a much greater depth of tone. This addition to tambura music was accepted by many bands and is being used more and more today. George's contribution did not stop here. It was George who introduced the idea of tamburasi playing in a standing position rather being seated. This innovation permitted the performers to mingle with the audience, which, of course, is enjoyed by music lovers of all nations. Let us not forget that this idea made possible the tamburasi playing at the bar. Where do you see more enjoyment than the competition at the bar for the honor of 'treating' the performers? There are thousands of individuals who were fortunate to have enjoyed this gentleman's countless hours of performing, many times far into the wee hours of the morning. He, in turn, enjoyed nothing more than to see people enjoying his presentations. George's dedication to the preservation and promotion of tambura music certainly warrants his appointment to the Tamburitza Hall of Fame with the many others so honored. | |
