Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Les Refuseurs French Acoustic/Pop band active from 1994 to 2010, in and around Paris. Les Refuseurs have been writing and recording hundreds of funny, absurd or satyric songs. They used to perform live with a lot of self-derision, turning each gig into a lapse of humour. They disbanded in December 2010, definitely refusing to play any more music...

Search Add 2 Her Joys F. Fernandez HER JOYS is a Portuguese DJ, Producer and label co-owner. He was born and raised in Aveiro, Portugal, currently residing in Oslo, Norway. It was in 2004 Her Joys first touched the Technics, and from that moment he got obsessed with the art of mixing. Though still having vinyl as his primary "instrument", he is a true all-rounder when it comes to mastering the different devices. Playing some highly sought after ‘bar sessions’ several nights a month, Her Joys has been a name in the Portuguese nightlife for a decade. With his organic DJ’s skills, he delves into the intimacy of small hot spot bars, after hours and private parties where he shows off his diverse musical taste and genuine love for music. He takes his listeners on a journey from deep to classic house beats, techy grooves and disco-fuelled edits, as well as modern and ethnic influences Her Joys started to produce his own music in 2010, released on the label Sui Generiz. One of his tracks (“Tonic”) got charted by Ramon Tapia, reaching the Beatport’s Tech-house Top100. In 2014 he started the label Kreattones with his dj-colleague Andy Book. Expanding the horizon is his current focus, evident in his recent development. Through the label he recently played for a full Electrische Club in Nice, France. These days he is working on new musical projects, as well as taking his brand to his new place of residence, Oslo, Norway.

She describes the album as journal entries turned into sound. In 2021 she released her sophomore album entitled "Nine" which she created as a response to the rising levels of gender based violence. Annalie often speaks of her true motivation behind creating music and art which is a deep passion for the human journey and finding ways to connect individuals with the highest form of themselves.

Expect tap dancing, confetti, puppets and percussive rubber animals accompanied by original jazz tunes outlining the more humorous sides of the truth.

The members share a fondness for songs about heartbreak, whiskey, killings, and hangings, although they promise they are actually all very peaceable people. Many of their songs are steeped deep in local history. The Scatterlings sound neither bluegrassy (though there are undeniable mountain influences at play) nor green. There are folk stylings, astute songwriting, textural instrumentation, and the palpable chemistry of players who are happy to have found each other Elfy Kornfeld - vocals & baritone ukulele Terrell Jones - vocals & upright bass Josh Sill - vocals & mandolin Brad Pope - guitar

Search Add 2 The InTime Quintet The InTime Quintet specializes in performing music in the style of tango nuevo created by Astor Piazzolla. The quintet consists of Henrik Perelló violin, Markku Lindeman accordion, Tuomas Turriago piano, Jorma Salmela guitar and Petri Mäkiharju bass. The musicians continue to carry on the live performance of Piazzolla's quintet music in a self-righteous manner, bringing it to its own temperament, which may not be quite normal in the Nordic countries. In 1994, InTime Quintet came to the attention of the music world by winning the first international Astor Piazzolla competition in Italy. and has since recorded 5 CDs of this music (ALBA). In addition to concerts in Finland, the band has performed in Sweden, Estonia, Denmark, Russia, France, Argentina, Japan, Emirates and Germany and has received an enthusiastic reception in concerts and jazz clubs as well as in chamber music, folk and avant-garde festivals. Finnish contemporary composers such as Kalevi Aho, Hannu Pohjannoro, Ilari Laakso, and Leonid Bashmakov have commissioned works for the quintet, with a viewpoint extending from the traditional style to the avant-garde. InTime Quintet also collaborates with dance artists such as La Camorra (Mobita-Dansco), Kaari Martin and Tommi Kitti. The InTime Quintet repertoire now also includes finnish well known songs adapted to the tango nuevo spirit. In 2015 the quintet released the record "Kotimaiset Tangoklassikot" featuring the singer Jari Pekkinen.

His focus is the beautification of discarded language, reconstructing content deemed “useless” due to its obsolescence or lack of perceived beauty (trash). Tony hopes to blend gooey chewy tones with classic funk & disco backbones to produce some sort of groovy fish monster. His musical debut was the double-single "Problem Child" which swiftly racked up over 150 monthly Spotify listeners in the first month. Ever since, he's been working on migrating to a fancy new computer and released a track titled "Martyred Biker," only available on the Bell Garden Winter Solstice 2020 Compilation CD.

Search Add 2 (((Pruttipal))) Parl Kristian Bjørn Vester (((Pruttipal))) is a current primary alias of Danish/Faroese experimental artist Parl Kristian Bjørn Vester, which he's been using since early 2017. Before that, Vester was mainly active as [a=Goodiepal]. One of the first mentions of Vester's new moniker was in January 2017, when he received Viggo Jarl's Sculpture Legacy grant of DKK 50,000 (around $6,500) from the Danish artistic association Den Frie Udstilling; the press release referred to the artist as "Goodiepal, who has now changed his name to (((pruttipal)))." In February 2017, (((Pruttipal))) started a podcast series Den Stille Bløde Vej ("The Quiet Soft Road") on Danish online radio The Lake, hosting a five-part interview with a renowned Danish rock journalist and photographer [a411268]. In April 2017, a Danish online magazine Passive/Aggressive published Goodiepal's cassette [r=12369831], which had one of the tracks titled "Embowel The (((Pruttipal)))" and featured Kristian Vester's photo with [a5140] captioned "Never forget Bjørn S. — he has meant a lot to me... says (((Pruttipal)))." In 2018, a Finnish label [l=Fonal Records] released [r=11857057] 3xLP with music from [a253437]'s eponymous documentary biopic, listing [l2538214] for © & ℗ copyright notices. In November 2019, (((Pruttipal)))'s first official release came out, a limited edition 7" lathe cut [r=23195333] from NYC-based [l102685], a "micro-label" subdivision of [l114907]. The single was named after Patchblocks, a now-defunct Northern Irish startup that was buiding programmable, open-source, stackable mini-synths between December 2013 and September 2018. The project launched with a successful and highly-publicized Kickstarter campaign, supported by prominent British artists, including [a369489], [a1373973], [a1998654], [a752836] from [a=DMX Krew], and [a1011016], and praised for developing their technology in a transparent, sustainable and community-driven manner. On his release, (((Pruttipal))) criticized modern Eurorack/modular synth manufacturers for financing anti-immigrant lobbies through their "hyper-capitalist" supply chains, thus using the revenues from artistic endeavours to oppress and induce suffering on thousands of refugees across the EU. In August 2020, (((Pruttipal))) returned to The Lake radio with a 3-hour long "DJ Audio $var #79" show that's available on all major podcasting platforms. As of July 2022, Pruttipal occasionally teaches composition at [l1747662].
