Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | N.Y.C.K. | Nick Acquroff, Dominique Garrard | Acquroff & Garrard live close by in Rye, an hour down the south coast from Melbourne, Australia. They write songs together most weeks and record them on the floor boards that crack on an upright piano, two synthesisers and a recording device that Nick bought one summer during a failed undertaking in journalism. Some nights they make home-made pizza instead. In 2016, after break out single Decision gave them a national audience, the pair toured Australia with Amy Shark, Felix Reibl, and played major Metropolitan shows with Emma Louise, Dope Lemon, Mansionaire and others. They released their debut EP, Alive, in the same year (Through Mushroom Music) and played festivals around Australia, including Big Sound, New Years Eve on the Hill and Peninsula Picnic. In 2018 the band recorded their debut album and return in 2019 with debut single Wild Streak, premiering in 2019. |

Search | Add | 2 | Rob Picazo | Roberto Picazo | Rob Picazo is a Rhythm & Blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Madrid and based in London, Rob’s love for Blues, Soul and Gospel date back to his teenage years, as regular explorations of his father’s vast record collection and the music of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke gave way to an obsession marked by listening, research and adulation. Over time, all these influences inspired Rob to write songs with themes of vulnerability, intensity and heartache. Rob’s songs travel the map of US Soul, R&B and Gospel, drawing inspiration from the sounds of Chicago, New Orleans and, of course, Memphis in the 60s and 70s. Rob’s upcoming album was recorded in the heart of Soulsville with a stunning band that featured Memphis legend Charles Hodges on the Hammond B3. With Rob’s caramel vocals sitting atop a stew of boiling guitars, simmering organ, soulful horns and funky rhythms, he’s set to make his mark in the history of Southern Soul. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Skipton Brass Band | Skipton Brass form Yorkshire, UK, started from humble beginnings in the 1870’s as Jack Guy’s Skipton Mission Band, as a temperance organisation, and is now thought to be Skipton’s oldest secular musical organisation. Re-formed after World War I as Skipton Prize Band, the band enjoyed much contest success at Crystal Palace in the 1920’s and 1930’s under the direction of its most famous conductor, Fred Metcalfe. After difficulties in intervening years, the band forged close links with local schools in the 1970’s, producing a vigorous and thriving Senior and Youth Band which laid the foundations for its rise from Fourth Section, to Champion Section status between 1977 and 1989. Along the way, the band has been privileged to contest at many National Finals in such places as the Royal Albert Hall, the Cardiff International Arena and the Birmingham Symphony Hall and has also undertaken numerous broadcasts on television and radio. The band remains amateur despite its considerable success. Playing members receive no remuneration. The band’s success has been due to the hard work and commitment of its players and supporters as well as the continuing support of Skiptonians and local businesses.

Powerful and emotional, neoclassical instrumentals carry us through the air aloft like helpless insects until we are gently set back down to to earth, miles from any previously recognizable world. Close your eyes. Give yourself to the moment.

Search | Add | 2 | The Limehouse Seven | The Limehouse Seven was founded in 1965 in Haarlem, a city in the western part of The Netherlands, not too far away from Amsterdam. They were a rising star in the traditional jazz scene in The Netherlands. The music they played differed from the regular dixieland jazz bands - they concentrated on the music as played by the black jazz bands during the 1920s, the music of legendary players like Joe King Oliver and Jelly Roll Morton, Clarence Williams and Fletcher Henderson. They started as an ordinary dixieland band, but changed their style due to new members like Jacques Van Ham, Remco van der Gugten and Fred Horn who brought a new spirit into the group that became popular through festivals, like the Loosdrecht Jazz Festival, a more modern jazz event, where they won a second price; the 1969 Hammerfeld Jazz Festival in Roermond and a first price at the Oude Stijl Jazz Festival in Breda in 1972. All those festivals are well known in The Netherlands. After summer of 1973, they changed their name to [a3001916]. Band members: [a=Jacques Van Ham], trombone. [a=Remco Van Der Gugten], alto and tenor sax, clarinet. [a=Fred Horn], cornet and washboard. [a=Ton Van Brussel], cornet. [a=Henk De Roos], banjo. [a=Peter Rijkhoff], piano. [a=Piet Peeperkorn], tuba.

Search | Add | 2 | In-Men Ltd. | The group were initially the house band at the Castaways Club and then later at the Jokers Three Club in Greensboro, NC. They used to play there regularly on Sunday afternoons in Greensboro, which was one of only a few cities in North Carolina where you could buy cold beer on Sunday". In 1966 The In-Men Ltd. signed with Jokers Three Entertainment Agency, who set them up for frat parties and debutante balls. A reputation was quickly built. The band ended up supporting visiting national artists such as The O'Jays, Barbara Lewis, B.J. Thomas, various Motown acts and The Impressions. The band line-up varied throughout the sixties. Search | Add | 2 | Glenna Van Nostrand | Glenna van Nostrand, a Cambridge-based performance artist obsessed with archaic telecommunication hardware. Using solo vocals run through an old telephone, amplified by a variety of radios, her work creates its own rhythms through hypnotic layering, repetition and the imperfections built into her chosen delivery system. Alternately ethereal and cracked, her performance takes simple kernels of thought and speech, creating mystifying vistas of otherness that hint at the eternal now. The only specific musical accompaniment comes from her use of a telephone’s touch pad as a keyboard, but the rich weirdness of her compositions is consistent and dazzling.

Search | Add | 2 | Cantor Samuel Heber | St. Louis, Missouri Born in Lodz, Poland in 1928, Cantor Samuel Heber was a young boy when he arrived in the USA on January 1940. Narrowly escaping Europe just before the Nazis invaded Paris, he eventually made his home in St. Louis MO. He studied Chazzanus under the famed cantor and composer Joshua Weiser in his youth and received his ordination from the Lubavitcher Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY in 1952. It was at this time that he was invited to St. Louis MO to become a Hazzan at the city’s largest Orthodox congregation. He served as Cantor at Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha Congregation in St. Louis, MO until 1973 and officiated at Chesed Shel Emes Congregation (now U.CityShul) for a decade after. His lyric tenor voice with baritone qualities was unusually brilliant in tone and emotional in warmth. He appeared before audiences throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe. In 1968 while attending the International Conference of Cantors and Choirs in Israel he was invited to perform in the home of Israel's third president, Zalman Shazar. Even in his later years he was sought after as a High Holy Day Cantor in congregations around the world.
