Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Later on he studied piano and lastly, guitar, which finally became his main instrument. Afterwards, he started experimenting with another side of music, recording and producing the music of the bands he played with along the years. A while later, Matei studied Sound and Editing in Film School. The years spent there have combined his love for music with the newly discovered world of film, and graduating from a Master programme in the art of film sound helped a lot in consolidating this link in his work.

Search | Add | 2 | Joel Putman | Joel started creating sounds with analog and digital synthesizes / samplers in the 80's and 90's. Since 2000 he has created most of his sounds in the software environment. For him the sounds he creates are similar to sonic post it notes. In some small way they encapsulate a thought, emotion, aesthetic or technique. The sounds often reflect his experiences. For those interested, his primary tools are: Metasynth, Renoise, Logic, Reaktor, Kyma, Csound, SuperCollider and his ever present Zoom H2 recorder.

Search | Add | 2 | ScarLenn | Lenny Benaïcha | ScarLenn was born in 1986 in a corner of the province of Antwerp. At a young age he moved into the metropolis, which until today he calls home. As a twelve year old boy he was tempted for the first time by the rap rhythms but it took another four years before he truly realized Hip-Hop was about to become more than just his favourite music genre. In 2002 he found his way to the microphone, choosing an artist name for himself consisting of the English word for: 'scar' and his first name. The scar is situated on his right eye and defined a big part of the young man's life. The foster child, who found his real home with his foster parents, received a part Algerian blood and surname from his biological mother, from which he distances himself completely. Because of the name, the looks and everything else scarlenn stands for he was forced to get to know the less pretty sides of our society at a young age. The critical insight he developed as a result of that in combination with a unique vocal usage are typical for his style. |

Search | Add | 2 | Fielding Dawson | Fielding Dawson (August 2, 1930 – January 5, 2002) was a Beat-era author of short stories and novels, and a student at Black Mountain College. He was also a painter and collagist whose works were seen in several books of poetry and many literary magazines. Born in New York City, Dawson was known for his stream-of-consciousness style. Much of his work was lax in punctuation to emphasize the immediacy of thought. Additionally, dialogue would often be used to break this up. His lack of deference toward tradition in writing, other than that of the necessity to evoke humanity, often painfully raw, is what puts him in the category of many of his better-known contemporaries, such as Jack Kerouac or Allen Ginsberg. Dawson was still writing up until his unexpected death in January 2002. He had become a teacher, first in prisons like Sing Sing, at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at the Naropa Institute in Boulder, where he taught regularly, and continuing on to work with at-risk students at Upward Bound High School in Hartwick, New York. He was recently called "The Best St. Louis Writer You've Never Read" by David Clewell, a professor of history at Webster University.

Search | Add | 2 | Sherman Ewing | Brooklyn-based Sherman Ewing has crafted a dual success story that celebrates tenacity, hard work and faith. A Columbia graduate, he’s an Ivy Leaguer who ended up balancing two distinct and unlikely careers: one as an indie rocker, and another as a dog-walking entrepreneur. While Ewing’s elite college colleagues were heading off to graduate school, getting married and buying homes, he was reeling from the tragic death of his mother -- a devout, religious woman who did not believe in standard medicine, even in the face of cancer. Ewing struggled to find his footing following her passing, but he does recall her telling him to follow his dreams...and he found them in his love of music and dogs. As an independent singer/songwriter, he has been compared to Bob Dylan and Keith Richards and covered in USA Today multiple times, with writer Elysa Gardner noting Ewing’s songs “have a wry lyricism that suggests a hard-won emotional integrity.” Parallel to his music career, Ewing has made a name for himself as a hometown entrepreneur, building his New York-based Club Pet NYC dog walking business from a rag-tag one-man operation to a respected local firm, with dozens of employees and a client list that includes some of the most prominent families in the Big Apple. Club Pet NYC was picked by New York Magazine as the city’s #1 Dog Walking service, and has also been covered by NPR. Ewing’s New York roots are intertwined with his dual careers. A resident of Red Hook, Ewing found unlikely inspiration in the devastation he experienced in Hurricane Sandy’s wake. His most recent album “Cross My Broken Heart’ mined the harrowing experience (sadly shared by many at the time,) as his home was virtually destroyed, and he began the process of putting things back together. Ewing’s New York story also includes attending Columbia University, working with underprivileged kids at Covenant House, walking dogs while working overnights at Fountain House (a residence for people with mental illness,) and embracing a spiritual path within his community and among his friends, that continues to guide him forward to this day.

Search | Add | 2 | Trío Evocación | Guanajay has always been prodigal as far as artists are concerned, without genre limitations. Some more known, others less remembered, had an unquestionable quality that made them popular beyond the limits of the land that saw them born. Such is the case of the Trío Evocación, which emerged in the middle of the 20th century. His first public presentation was in 1953 in a show presented at the Spanish Colony, because of the carnival festivities and was composed of José A. Crespo Victores (voice premium, maracas, guayo), Juan Luis Arango (second voice and guitar) and Jorge Delgado (third voice and requinto). A year later they appeared on the television program Escuela de Televisión, directed by Gaspar Pumarejo with a samba sung in Portuguese. The program promoted amateur artists of recognized quality, who competed and, in addition, shared the stage with other Cuban and foreign professionals. On this occasion the Trío Evocación was awarded the Special Jury Prize and the invitation to remain in the space for a long period of time that served as a true school of instruction and experience. Application to be professionals In 1956, the Trio made a request to the Cuban Association of Theatrical Artists, being accepted to appear before the Examining Court in charge of approving the artistic capacity of the applicants, being accepted as professionals that same year. Important nightclubs in the capital witnessed the musical work of the Evocation Trio, which alternated with well-known artists, among them the Spanish Sara Montiel and the Chilean Lucho Gatica, when he visited our country for the first time. Apart from their nightly performances, they kept a fixed program for a year, every Sunday, at 4:00 pm on the "La voz del Aire" station. Founding member of the Trío, José A. Crespo still resides in Guanajay. A man passionate to music, a hobby that he recognizes motivated by his cousin, the soprano América Crespo, another great artist from Guanajuato, of whom little is spoken, with an exquisite voice who will walk the name of Cuba in important halls of the world. This simple man confesses with modesty to have composed forty musical pieces, which are inscribed in the Registry of the Association of Authors and many of them have been and are interpreted by recognized groups. Although in 1966 the Trio was dissolved, he decided to follow the path of music, without abandoning his job as Head of Production and Sales in the Tannery of the town that today bears the name of José Ramón Martínez, in which he remained for thirty and three years, and is incorporated as a singer in the professional group of Digno González. When the famous artists' evaluations began in the seventies, they suggested that in order to remain professional, they should leave their other work; He did not understand it that way and he definitely left the song, but he continues composing. Later he won two prizes in the Provincial Contest of the Creator, with the bolero There will not be a penalty of love, defended by the orchestra Cubaney and the guaracha You say that there is no rumba, performed by the Benny Moré orchestra, respectively. In his thirteen years of struggling the Trio Evocación always maintained a repertoire full of cuban and professionalism. How many memories will it bring to those who have been older? they will not listen to them again because unfortunately their recordings were not saved in acetate, but longing will always be present, as Alfredo said in the farewell ... "remember is to live again."
