Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Josephine Wedekind | Josephine Wedekind | Downtempo / Psychedelic & Experimental Sound Djane aka "Ayjo" based in Berlin, Germany Josephine Wedekind began DJing with vinyl early in life & can't imagine an existence without the positive vibes & moments of ecstasy & excitement created on the dance floor by her organic psychedelic sound. In 2012 she became a member of the Schiffbruch event crew whose ethos is great music and harmonic energy. Josephine soon became a regular on Berlin’s club and underground scene, frequently playing her trippy style of music at some of the most influential locations including Mensch Meier, Rummels Bucht & Sisyphos. In 2016, Yuli Fershtat aka Perfect Stranger and Gabi 2B invited her to be part of the Digital Structures team as a label DJ. After 10 years spinning as Josephine Wedekind she started Ayjo as a platform to express a more downtempo, psychedelic & experimental sound. She conceives that ‘Music is without borders, unlimited by genre, it’s simply a representation of taste’. To get more insight just listen to the compilation she created for Digital Structures. Gyrðir was born in Reykjavík, but was raised in Sauðarkrókur, a small town in the northern part of the country. He graduated from the Fjölbrautarskóli Nordurlands Vestra in Saudárkrókur in 1982. While trying various academic options at universities of education, he began writing poetry. His first book, a collection of poetry titled Svarthvít axlabönd (Black-and-White Suspenders), was published in 1983. He also began translating works into Icelandic, considering it the duty of Icelandic writers to give a hand in translations. Among his translations are four works by Richard Brautigan. He also has an interest in works about the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Gyrðir has written ten volumes of poetry and five books of prose. His style is called "highly personal" among other things. |

Search | Add | 4 | S.T.R.E.F.F | STREFF | STREFF (Nikita & Sveta) is an underground dubstep/hardcore/dubcore project conceived in the ex-USSR authoritarian state of Belarus as a form of music protest against corrupt politicians and practices. Originally STREFF was formed in 1997 in Minsk (Belaurs) by Nikita Chudjakov and Dmitri Protasevich. They've started with the old-school hardcore and jungle, after few years moved to industrial-noise and then discovered for themselves the DHR sound. In the 1999 another member Svetlana Shljachova joined STREFF. "We've always liked an experimental music that's why we always tried to express our passion for fat, rough beats, noisy textures and whicked samples. We like to fuck up the sound in a weirdest manner we can. The other aspect is that music can not only be fun but also a powerful weapon in the right hands. We hate racism and all kinds of discrimintation and dictatorship existing in a different proportions and created by different people all over the world. So STREFF is our weapon to fight with the all these things". With releases on underground Fact Records (Israel) and squat-based Glocal (France), concerts in Belarus and Russia and after 10 years of hibernation STREFF is back at it again. "STREFF is reborn to bring the attention of all like-minded people to the problem of Darfur. It's happening right now but it seems that nobody wants to hear about it. So, we'll scream!!! This new record is meant to be a message, an activists project and a way to collect some money to the organizations helping in Darfur. It's not about profit, we want to help bring peace and do something constrictive with our music, instead of just entertaining party people." The STREFF new short album with remixes 'DARFUR" 'Dafur' is released under Creative Common license for FREE. Download STREFF mp3 album for free and If you like it - DONATE whatever amount you can TO NGOs HELPING IN DARFUR! |
Search | Add | 4 | Tom Gardberg | Tom Gardberg | Born 1941. A Finnish singer and songwriter. Trubaduuri Tom Gardberg (s. -41) aloitti jazzmusiikin parissa 14-vuotiaana. Hän oli mukana, kun turkulainen "Harlem Jazz Club" otti ensiaskeleitaan vuonna 1961 ja kuuluu edelleen elinvoimaisen Clubin jamimestareihin. Vuonna 1966 Tom perusti laulelmaseuran "Sällskapet Visans Vänner i Åbo", joka on maan toiseksi vanhin laulelmaseura. Tom on toiminut varsinaisen leipätyönsä ohella trubaduurina vuodesta 1964 lähtien, jolloin hän voitti Turun ruotsinkielisen "Ponnahdus pinnalle" -laulelmakilpailun. Vuonna 1965 Tomin laulelma Natthamn - Yösatama sijoittui kolmanneksi kilpailussa, jossa Tove Janssonin ja Erna Tauron kappale Höstvisa sai toisen palkinnon. Vuonna 1979 hän voitti Siipyyn laulelmakilpailun laululla Någon nynnar en vals ja 1989 Kotkan meripäivien merimieslaulukilvan laululla Yöpurjehdus. Tom Gardberg on julkaissut kaksi LP-levyä ja vuonna 2002 tupla-CD:n, joka sisältää jokseenkin koko hänen siihenastisen tuotantonsa. Sama materiaali on julkaistu nuottivihkosena Schildts -kustantamon toimesta. "Laulelmantekijänä Tom Gardberg edustaa yli neljän vuosikymmenen kattavalla tuotannollaan trubaduuriperinteen absoluuttista kärkeä. Hänen laulujensa taustalta kuultaa menneitten vuosikymmenten kotimusisoinnin perinne". Gardbergin aihepiiri liikkuu meren, saariston, perheen ja suurten eksistentiaalisten kysymysten ympärillä." Search | Add | 4 | SeeMoreGlass | N. Patrick Phile | SeeMoreGlass began in the trunk of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the fall of 2007 after the malaise of real life set in. N. Patrick Phile, the main artist behind the project, played in the band Dear Holden from 2004-2010, and as the band was winding down, the side project took full priority. Taking the name from a J.D. Salinger character, the project quickly became about self discovery and empowerment after years of difficult relationships. The E.P. "If You Really Want To Hear About It..." was recorded in the basement of a close friend's house on a winter weekend and was released to no acclaim in the fall of 2010 amidst the turmoil of many endings and beginnings. After a seven year hiatus, the high school English teacher revived the project during the weekly midnight hours as a means of survival. Graveyard Gertie was released in 2017 as a way to deal with the overwhelming grief of multiple friends and family members who passed away. After that release, he spent the next four years, teaching, writing poetry and working endlessly on the songs that would become the new album Roaring Paper Spring. He currently lives in Ohio, with his wife, and creative partner Rachel. |

Search | Add | 4 | psAux | Sebastian I. Hartmann | Starting in the mid 1990s as "aGe2.1" with a musty, darker industrial-ish style and a rather minimalist sound setup, Sebastian I. Hartmann eventually began leaning towards turn of the millenium-techno in the early 2000s. The departure from the cold atmosphere of the city of Hamburg in 2009 was inevitably to be artistically reflected. After leaving northern germany, now in his newly adopted homeland of bavaria, he re-invented himself as PSAUX. Conflating old and new experimental threads, adding a pinch of acid house and a sprinkle of the good old Industrial-EBM. After a decade on his way, PSAUX has his coming out as a trippy mixture of minimalist styles in a deep mindset. |
