Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Dorien Dorion Dorien Dorion is an artist belonging to the group Fratelli Stellari. Born in Florence (Italy), he is a singer, a musician and a cabaret artist; he is also the artistic director of the group. His voice appears in some songs, for example "Sorelle, sante e suppliziate" (included in the album "Aglien Discomix"), "El Misterio del Espacio" (included in the album "Nightflight to Planet X") and "50 Sfumature di Alieno" ("Fifty Shades of Alien", a single track). Dorien loves cats and flying saucers; he is also interested in some esoteric disciplines, such as oracle cards, astrology and dowsing. "Egyptian Sands" is his first digital album: released on January 2018 by the discographic label Pleyad Studios, it is dedicated to the tradition of belly dance. Dorien is the composer and the rapper; he was inspired by ethnic music, particularly by the typical melodies of North African countries. This album is also dedicated to the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, such as Pyramids, the Sphinx, Bastet the Cat Goddess... but the greater mystery of all is that of alien traces over or under the sands!

Search Add 4 High Red High Red Norwegian/American band based in Oslo, Norway Every once in a long while things just seem to come together naturally, as if they had been aligned in the stars, or perhaps by destiny. Such is the story of the creation of High Red. Hailing from the heartlands of both the United States and Norway, the combined members of the High Red are on a mission to spread their musical message to audiences the world over. With nothing short of awe-inspiring live performances, High Red will embark on a musical journey right in front of your eyes and ears. And all you have to do is witness. With countless appearances sharing the stage with world-class touring acts (Robben Ford, Michael Landau, Kirk Fletcher, etc) in Scandinavia, Europe, and the USA, it was only a matter of time before Jon, Per, Iver, and Adam were to embark on their own musical endeavor - as High Red. Drawing inspiration from heavy study and upbringing in gospel-infused soul music and playing the blues everywhere from Los Angeles to Stockholm, these boys create a genre-splitting version of urban sleek and rural grit. With Adam Douglas' vocal prowess and avant-garde guitar playing, Per Øystein Erstad's command of the bass, Jon Reidar Furulund's relentless groove behind the drum kit, Iver Olav Erstad's mastery of the Hammond Organ, Clavinet, Rhodes, and piano - High Red has a message for you… Are you ready to listen? Musicians: Adam Douglas, Iver Olav Erstad, Per Øystein Erstad, Markus Lillehaug Johnsen and Jon Reidar Furulund

Search Add 4 Caldicot Male Voice Choir The Choir was founded in 1963. The origins can be traced to the searing heat at the base of a blast furnace, at the new RTB works (BSC Llanwern) that was completed in 1962. Several of the workers, who would regularly harmonise in song, were to become the new residents of the rapidly developing communities of Caldicot and Underwood. Many of them had experience of singing in long established valley choirs. It was decided to try and organise a male voice choir in Caldicot and after an informal meeting in the Cross pub, Ray Hogan, Len Waters and John Grindle walked around Caldicot, knocking on the doors of fellow steelworkers to see if there was any interest. Amongst those who were recruited that night was the fledgling Choir’s first Musical Director, Ralph Hodges and subsequently an inaugural meeting was arranged and then held in Caldicot Methodist Church.

Search Add 4 Biastfear BiastFear Includes former members of Ohio metal band [a=Sacrifix (3)]. There are two definitive eras of the band's history, although three additional line-ups existed. The "metal" era of the band featured two pairs of male friends joining forces to combine their love of thrash, industrial and death metal. Influences included: Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Acid Bath, Nailbomb, Napalm Death and Machine Head. A demo, ("A Worthless Emotion"), and a full-length, ("The Ties That Bind"), were released. Some hints of the band's newer influences were apparent on the full-length release, but would come to fruition in the coming years. The band started to evolve and experiment with their sound, eventually losing the death and thrash influences in favor of groove and attitude. New influences included: Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Manhole L.A., Living Colour and Biohazard. One of the founding members didn't like the musical direction and was asked to leave the band. A new male vocalist was acquired but his time with the band was short-lived. He was replaced be a female vocalist and the second era of the band truly began. Retaining their down-tuned guitars from their heavier days, the band began to write music inspired by where heavy music was going to instead of where it had been. The band's second full-length was released on the verge of the dawn of what would become known shortly as "nu-metal", although in December of 2000 nobody really called it that yet, so the band and their fans made up their own genre definitions: some called it heavy-hop and some called it R&Bcore. Questionable experimentation with hip-hop aside, it resounded with fans in a big way and the band found themselves touring more often and playing to bigger crowds. Demos were made for a follow-up recording and shopped to labels, but the band found far too many people unsure of exactly how to market the band, even though they agreed the music was strong and the band's live performance was solid. The stagnation lead members to start to experiment with side-projects and other interests, and with no official farewell show, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and never reconvened.
