Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Arne B. Larson | Born into a musical family on a southern Minnesota farm in 1904, Arne B. Larson began playing a clarinet of Spanish-American War vintage at the age of five. During the Great Depression in the 1930's, he worked his way through the Minneapolis College of Music. He taught first in Little Falls, MN, and then in International Falls, MN. In 1943 he became band and orchestra director at Brookings High School. After World War II, he would take the train on Saturdays to Arlington, Lake Preston, and other nearby towns in South Dakota, to tune pianos all day long. He used this hard-earned money to send tea and spam to British collectors in exchange for antique musical instruments. Later, Larson drove for many years around South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota, presenting his program for schools, churches, and service clubs, during which he played 50 different instruments. He also traveled around the country for the American Scandinavian Association in Washington, D.C., and made national public television appearances on the popular children' program, a "Mr. Rogers'Neighborhood." In 1966, Larson was hired as Professor of Music at the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion, bringing his collection of more than 2,500 rare musical instruments from around the world along. He later donated them, along with the family farm, to help establish the National Music Museum in 1973. Arne Larson also founded and directed "The Golden Age of Bands 1860-1915," an ensemble that played American band music from the Civil War ere to World War I on original instruments from that time period. Today, the National Music Museum is the preeminent institution of its kind. Its collections of more than 13,500 American, European, and non-Western instruments, dating from the 16th century to the present, make USD the leading center in the world for scholarly study of the history of musical instruments.

Search | Add | 2 | The Ramplings | The Ramplings were a short lived, Staten Island (NYC) based band that was together from 1996-1997. The idea of the band was to go back to the early 60s bubblegum pop sound. The band consisted of relatively well known local glam rock musicians, but to conceal their identity, they performed under completely made up names. The band consisted of Joey D'Agostino (using the name Joseph Jamison) on vocals, Torii Wells (using the name Lance Grey) on guitar, Dennis Lords (using the name Darin Loch) on bass, and Nelson Pop (using the name Eddie Wilson) on drums. Torii Wells at that time was most known for being the guitarist in [a6373044] and Spiral Fetish. Dennis Lords and Nelson Pop were both from the band [a3727331]. The band first recorded and released a two song cd. Soon after they recorded six more songs, four of which were released in very limited numbers to friends on a cassette. The band planned to release a second cd featuring the four songs, but they never did so. The other two songs from those sessions, "Oh Girl" and "Can't Stop Falling In Love With You" remain unreleased.

Search | Add | 2 | The Pretty Shirts | The Pretty Shirts was formed in A Guarda (Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain) in 2009 when members coming from prior bands decided to join in order to create raw and straight R'n'R willing to step on every stage they'll find along their way After two years of rehearsals and gigs in Galicia and Portugal, The Pretty Shirts went into the studio (October 2011) and they cut their debut EP "So good to be right here", containing 5 intense R'n'R and garage rock recorded nearly live at the studio. After hitting the road and many gigs, a year later, David Baz (founder bassist) decided to quit and the band focused in writing new songs searching for harder sounds while looking for the right replacement for the bassist vacancy. 2013 The Pretty Shirts went back to the stages, having in mind the release of a new album. In June, 2014 the band releases an advance single entitled “Ain’t no another love song” In April, 2015 they tape a self-titled long play in Baixo Miño Estudios. The record features 8 tracks reflecting on one hand the energy the band delivers playing live, but in the other hand the quietest side of themselves, which was not present on prior recordings. The band is currently formed by members: Miguel D. Lomba (vocals), Miguel Castro (guitar and backing vocals), Álvaro Vázquez (bass) y Manuel González (drums and backing vocals)
