Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Southern Syncopaters | Swedish jazz band from Malmö founded 1987. They are trying to recreate Hot Jazz from the Roaring 20’s, which is a blend of very well written arrangements of popular songs and the spirit of jazz with improvised solos. The strategy has been to not directly copy old recordings, there is no chance to be as good as the original anyway, but by using exactly the same stock arrangements that was used by Coon-Sanders, Fletcher Henderson, King Oliver and many more. And just as they did, use their own arrangements as the foundation and then spice them with own solos, song choruses, and some joyful visual effects that unfortunately can’t be reproduced by an audio CD. It has been a long and tough work to get hold of these old original stock arrangements, but thanks to some contacts and tours to jazz festivals both in Sweden and even to the US, the collection of stock arrangements is now getting quite extensive. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Brinley Woodall | Socially Ill was a solo project by Brinley Woodall, born from the isolation of the pandemic in Mississippi. Blending the angst of ’90s grunge with the urgency of modern indie punk, Socially Ill transforms personal struggle into cathartic soundscapes. What began as a bedroom demo project evolved into a genre-defying exploration of emotion, identity, and growth. Their debut EP, Mental Prisoners of the Mental Prison (2022), introduced listeners to Brinley’s introspective lyricism and raw vulnerability, while the follow-up album, Love Letter of Self-Deprivation (2023), expanded on themes of obsession, heartache, and self-reflection — drawing inspiration from artists like Nirvana, Green Day, Bob Dylan, and Pink Floyd. Now entering a new creative era, Brinley’s upcoming work under a new alias is set to deliver a bold evolution of the Socially Ill sound. Infused with shoegaze, punk, and psychedelic textures, the 2026 project promises to be both a farewell and a rebirth — an emotionally charged statement about transformation, healing, and the enduring power of raw expression. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | NayaBand | NAYABAND is a group that draws its musical essence from the African continent. The group adapts various musical sounds like reggae, dub, blues, jazz, but also African rythms such as mbalakh, soukouss among others. NAYABAND is a musical group created and directed by [a13579603]. Nayaban Jean is a songwriter, presenting and representing multiculturalism and crossbreeding. The leader of the group, Nayaban Jean is from Senegal. He is one of the few artists to have received the teachings and training of troubadours and griots on the traditions and roots of African music. With this musical learning acquired as a basis, he was a member of the Senegalese group Banor-Z. It follows the recording of its first album in 1999, then a musical tour in the Canary Islands. In 2003, Nayaban Jean settled in the Canary Islands where he founded his first group Mystic Vibes. In 2004, the group moved to the Afro Acoustic Experience, and then became Nayaband in 2005. The appearance of the group in the islands will give a fresh air to the local musical panorama, thanks to the knowledge of the African music base of the leader and the heterogeneous and multicultural nature of sounds coming from other continents. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Knights Of The Spatchcock | Fusing the dubious talents of an ER nurse, Croatian glamrock hero, disenchanted pharmacist, failed choir boy and Pocahontas, the Knights of the Spatchcock create their own hybrid of diverse music and have a good time doing so! On a glorious sunny afternoon in February of 2009 the Knights of the Spatchcock began a period of incubation. An impromptu jam between 5 good friends with diverse musical influences hatched some surprisingly listenable and strangely unique music. The Canberra based Knights of the Spatchcock take pride in their work and place having fun over taking themselves too seriously. The Knights of the Spatchcock invite loyal squires and wenches to their round (well, perhaps oblong) table of festive revelry and moral debauchery. There are no heroes here, only harbingers of aural pleasure. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | John Filcich | Ivan Petar "John" Filcich (Filčić) | Mr. Kolo or Kolo John - Ivan Petar "John" Filcich (Filčić) was born in Fiume, Italy, in 1924. The village is today called Rijeka in Croatia. When John was born, the village was called Fiume, the post World War I "free city-state" which was later annexed by Italy. For his father it was in Hungary, for his grandfather it was in Austria, and even earlier the area was part of Napoleon's Illyrian Provinces. He immigrated to the United States when he was eight years old. His family settled in Gary, Indiana, the steel mill city with Croatian, Serbian, Polish, and other Slavic cultures and has had many years of experience with thier music. He later moved to Arizona. In 1935, when his father gave him an old phonograph and a stack of Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian, and Serbian Records, his interest in international music was fostered. In 1946, the family moved again to California where John saw foreign dancers in their native costumes. By 1947, John was folk dancing every week in Oakland, California. With singleminded dedication, John devoted himself to the study of the origin, history, dance, music, and language of his people. Then, in 1948, the International Institute of Oakland asked him to form a Yugoslavian dance group to perform at the Festival of Nations. He did even more, he formed two groups – Croatian and Serbian – and he was also dancing six nights a week! Seeing a great need, he opened his first record shop in 1949 in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in Balkan and international music and folk dance records (he later opened another record shop in Los Angeles). That same year, he attended the College of the Pacific Folk Dance Camp in Stockton, California, which was later renamed the Stockton Folk Dance Camp. This led to his teaching of Yugoslavian "kolo" (circle) dances at the camp and his subsequent founding of the San Francisco Kolo Festival. According to his niece, Sharen Skorup, "And my mother's brother, my Uncle John, was in the music business and was into dancing. As a kid I worked in his record store in Oakland. Uncle John started the whole Kolo movement here in the Bay Area back in 1940. He had a performing dance company of mostly Croatians. That was before I was born. In 1952, he started the Kolo Festival as a benefit for a friend and well-known folk dancer named Vyts Beliajus." The festival's name was later changed to the California Kolo Festival." John was a credited advisor on the feature documentary film "American Gypsy: A Stranger In Everybody's Land," written, produced, and directed by Jasmine Dellal. He speaks five languages. To his many folk dance friends, he is known as "Kolo John," a moniker that Millie von Konsky solidified in print in "Let's Dance" magazine in November, 1957. John, with his Festival Records label, was a principal supplier of folk dance recordings to North America and the world. His record shops, Slav-Art Music Center in Oakland, Festival Records in Los Angeles, and Festival Folk Shop in San Francisco, were must stops for folk danceers, square dancers, ethnic musicologists, and Gypsies from all over the world. Because of his life-long interest in the Rom (Gypsy) culture, he is often invited to their weddings, religious celebrations, and other community activities and was the North American supplier for Gypsy music, candles, and other items for many years. John has now closed his shops. A big party with live music honoring John was thrown in Los Angeles on November 11, 2000, with dancers and teachers, including Dick Oakes, flying in from around the country. Dick Crum, John's long time friend, did the officiating. Naturally, John led everyone in his favorite dance, Veliko Kolo. He hasn't given up selling records, though – you can still purchase some of your favorites from John by writing to info@festival-records.net. Also, John has constructed a website, www.festival-records.net. On March 20 and 21, 2004, 'From the Heart: A Musical Tribute to "Kolo" John Filcich' took place at the Harold M. Williams Auditorium, J. Paul Getty Center, Los Angeles, California. Some of L.A.'s finest Eastern European folk musicians paid homage to "Kolo" John Filcich. Performers included the Yeseta Brothers Tamburica Orchestra, Tzvetanka and Ivan Varimezova, and the Gypsy Roma Band. In 2005, John received the National Folk Organization's "Preserving Our Legacy Award." |

The roots are something he knows very well how to put forward. Musical culture is part of the West Indian heritage. Victor knows it and conveys this message. Always anxious to be able to transmit his knowledge, he takes part in numerous events to represent once again his native island as well as the Caribbean. Having a strong personality, but devoted to the musical movement, his precocity was asserted at the age of six as his amateur musician father gave him his first guitar. After a few years of practice, he had the idea to remove the "SI" and "MI" from his instrument and discovered a vocation for the "bass". | |
