Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Sebastian Curi | Sebastian Curi is an Argentinian illustrator and animator based in Los Angeles. He creates colorful characters using big bold shapes and strong lines. Originally an animator, Seb spent around ten years in the animation industry before switching disciplines to focus on illustrative work. His experience allowed him to develop a unique style of illustration, centering around quirky figures who live in their own super stylised universe. Thanks to his previous experience, they just so happen to animate beautifully too. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sk-Van | SK-VAN | SK-Van "group that began playing since 1999, its original members Sergio Gonzáles (Vos, Guitar), Fernando Miranda (Bass at that time) and Aldo Farfán (Drums) already played together since 1998 in" Less Than Zero ". At the time when Kevin Dickens (former guitarist) joined the band, the group began to form a musical style and mature a little more in every aspect, from where the first songs were born "Ritalin", "A new challenge", " Where are you? "," To my panas "themes that began to sound in the movement of that moment. Kevin was separated from the band due to problems between the members and immediately the Coello brothers (one of them, guitarist of G.O.E.) moved into the void that did not last for long, that they left the group on their own. Christian Nieto (69 seconds) was the replacement, one of the most important members that the band has had the first guitar, time where songs like "A special place", "Someone", "Beyond" were born, and at that moment They decided to record their first demo between 1999 and 2000 called "Without Knowing where to go ...". Nieto was separated from the group, at that moment Iván Casanova (69 seconds) and Andrés Parreño (Never Jamás) in different concerts helped for a moment on the bass. They received a call from Christian Guillén (Bass) who had just played with the group Rek and without thinking much he was a person to everyone's liking and is currently the new member of "SK-Van" with which they left to play outside the country and soon they will release their first album with a Colombian label "2 Many Records". They have a style of melodic punk category, combine the Emo and fast rhythms in their songs, their lyrics mostly deal with experiences that are marked in the memories of people and how to overcome them when they are negative. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Ghost Against Ghost | Christopher Bono | Ghost Against Ghost is the post-everything electronic-rock concept and moniker of producer/composer Christopher Bono. Inspired by conceptual, progressive, post and psychedelic rock; art-rock; ambient, experimental, classical music (contemporary and common-practice); the anarchic concepts of late Leo Tolstoy; dystopian epics; and neo-romanticism, Bono founded Ghost Against Ghost in 2008 after he began work on an as yet unfinished two-hour concept album that he envisioned in a dream one night in Brooklyn. To bring the vision to life, Bono assembled a group of electro-acoustic musicians and began performing in New York City & Brooklyn. Within a short time, Ghost Against Ghost became known for their long, multi-media shows featuring “song-oriented-but-stylistically-out-there” forms alternated with open noise, electronic and ambient improvisations. As Bono began preparations for the first Ghost Against Ghost album in 2008, he became increasingly unsatisfied with the infant sound of Ghost Against Ghost. Haunted by continuous visions and auditory hallucinations that demanded he dig deeper, Bono was driven into seven years of near-hermetic isolation as he struggled to develop the technical foundation necessary to bring forth these internal messages.Compelled by the cacophony within, Bono began imagining a sonic landscape different from anything he had encountered. This journey led him to unexpectedly study classical music at the late and unusual age of 27 in search of answers. “I could see the sounds, like a massive and extraordinarily complex piece of architecture, or some sort of alien, psychic sculpture, but I did not know how to realize it technically. … Until I heard Stravinsky.” -Bono Under the tutelage of classical composers such as Stravinsky and Bach and various contemporary composers, Bono began to find answers to the riddle of the Ghost Against Ghost sound.; Over the course of 5 years, Bono released two full classical albums and an EP to critical acclaim. Between these projects, commissions, and commitments, Bono secretly chiseled away on the Ghost Against Ghost material. Finally, after finishing his last album, BARDO, Bono was once more ready to devote his full attention to the insistent call of Ghost Against Ghost. After years of searching and study in isolation within the classical and experimental music fields, Bono had discovered the melodic and rhythmic movement, structure and development he needed to understand to implement Ghost Against Ghost in a current context; the result is an interwoven, wild, sonic tapestry, fused by his knowledge of modern studio production, mixing, engineering and electronics. The first official Ghost Against Ghost release was the epic 15 min work, Checkpoint Charlie. The album was accompanied by an award winning music video by film maker Craig Murray.See it HERE. The first full length Ghost Against Ghost album, still love was released in April, 2017. The album received positive reception including: "Cathartic soul-bearing space prog masterwork." -- Prog Magazine "Still Love is a mighty work of art that juxtaposes pop-sensitivity with an intense listening experience." - Arctic Drones “Evokes a wide array of inspirations to create a vast and intense field of sounds. Bono constructs a darkly spiritual aura in this post-rock inspired composition." -Stereogum "Ghost Against Ghost's New Song "Resume" Is A Slow-Moving, Cinematic Destroyer" -Metal Injection The track Unarm from the still love album also was accompanied by a music video by the visionary film maker Craig Murray. In 2018 a new single Todeserfahrung was released. Currently, Christopher is back in the studio working on a new conceptual Ghost Against Ghost album slated for a 2020 release. |

These three projects showcase a consistent thread, blending post-punk minimalism with industrial sound design and a darkwave atmosphere. | Search | Add | 3 | vMarkus | vMarkus is a Finnish-American electronic musician, composer, and performer. In the early 1980s, he began experimenting with combining found sounds and modified pianos with electronic noises created using random pieces of Radio Shack equipment. His first band was the electro-goth duo Burning Kafka, who released one cassette-single, as well as a demo cassette. Differences in musical direction saw the group disband, and vMarkus went on to join the industrial band Crocodile Shop, mainly as a live keyboardist. As the band often jokes, he never left. Taking on added music composing responsibilities, vMarkus worked in close collaboration with singer and musician Mick Hale to create the unique sound of the band, releasing several albums throughout the nineties and early 2000s. As a prolific musician, he has collaborated with a number of musicians and artists, and participated in several side projects including the noise-industrial unit Kunterfaust, drum-and-bass-inspired proGREX.iv (with fellow Crocodile Shop member Mick Hale, as well as George Sarah, Jared Hendrickson, and Sarah Folkman), and gothic art project The Appointed Time. Since 1998, he has recorded and experimented with various EDM genres as the solo-project Subliminal Gravity.

A lot of demo's were made resulting after years to a full album. But first two tapes were made. Fed Up with guitars in 1996 they decided to stop the band.

Groenland specialises in warm vocal harmonies, flute solos, conscious lyrics and positive grooves. "A cast of impeccable musicians bathe the Dubliner's neo-soul songs in crisp and uncluttered R&B, pop and funk." The Sunday Times "An album that is a groove-laden joy to behold, a record that delivers perfectly polished positive vibes." Goldenplec "Danny G has an almost scientific ability to deliver the smoothest and most velvetine soul sound, this man knows his shit when it comes to honouring the genre in the most respectful and brilliant way" - REMY "Fans of Thundercat and even soul acts like Leon Bridges will find much to enjoy in the soaring vocal lines and swung bass grooves" - Nialler 9

| Search | Add | 3 | Shadiii | Former members of South of Sahara, tshidi helen Leloka and Anneline Malebo met a former member of the all rounders, Faith Shadi Kekana and formed a new trio, shadiii. It was named after Faith but spelled with three i’s at the end to show that they were three, as in Bob Marley’s backing vocalists,I-three (rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths & Judy Mowatt). Shadiii released a maxi single, Yes I’m Gonna Give It Up, in 1985 on rpM’s right track label written by Sizwe Zako, produced by allister coakley and engineer, creg cutler. Maybe I should pay a special tribute to Faith Shadi Kekana, daughter of a preacherman who featured in many music projects before going solo. She has travelled the world backing superstars as a vocalist. Besides her session musicianship, she’s been a member of the all rounders, Shadiii as well as Varukweru whose members included Vusi Khumalo (drums), Bakithi Khumalo (bass), Zoli Bacela (guitar) and ndumiso nyovane (trumpet). Sadly, Bacela passed away in august 2006, a few days before the death of talented saxophonist, Moses Khumalo. By 2008 Faith had released her debut solo album titled Ha Re Yeng produced by condry Ziqubu. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Gongs | From 2002 bio: The Gongs on themselves We formed in early September of 2001. We started off playing musical games using a trio of three lutes called "guys" and recorded the singles "you think i'm a terris", and "i smell..." When we found our first set of steel gongs near the train tracks, they taught us how to imitate the sounds that animals hear, as can be heard in "the bat", and "an old man talks to his dog". Now we always play with our set of amplified gongs. Originally, we were a threesome, Pete, Clara, and Stefan. When he heard us one night, Grisha became attracted to the sound of the gongs' microtones and drones, which he describes in "Evergreens [in Darkest Night]". He became the Gongs' fourth member, playing reeds (a retuned harmonium) and chucky (a super-long electric sliding stringed instrument). He discovered some splendid new techniques for playing the Chucky, such as "creating a cast relationship w/ the stratosphere", and others you can hear on our website. From the beginning, we had been in contact with "th' Man w/ the Red Steam"; we sang a few songs about him and soon realized we needed a better tool to communicate with. In January, we built this out of a collection of electronic rhythm circuits. Ever since then "th'Man w/the Red Steam" (or more correctly, "th'monument to th'Man with the Red Steam") has been helping to complete our sound. Back in October, (hal'ween to be exact) the gongs made first contact with artist/composer/producer/???, Momus, and began work on a cd for release on his label American Patchwork. We also just finished a little 45 rpm record, with 2-step, 5-step, and 7-step dances on it. Both the cd and the record will be with us on tour this summer, so come check us out. | |
