Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Martin Kirkegaard | Martin Kirkegaard | Biography Martin Kirkegaard (1976 - ) is a danish contemporary folk musician rooted in the improvisational aspect of the music based on the narrative storytelling. “real music should always have a real story to tell. A story that emanates from the moment of conception” he comments. His melodies and sketches come from the free space between his instrument and himself. Though he comes from a Blues and Jazz background he considered himself a folk musician but draws upon everything he hears. “Don`t box me in” he says. ”The world consists of sounds just waiting to get articulated”. In the light of this his travel to Africa has made a big and lasting impression on him and his way of looking at his instrument. Especially the string instruments of West Africa has inspired his guitarwork quiet a bit. And together with his travel to Scotland and The United States he has gathered a connection (in his mind) between the different folk music of the continents. He believes that every music is connected one way or the other. Of course he has his heroes (Robbie Basho, Ali Farka Toure, Abdullah Ibrahim, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Miles Davis, Ravi Shankar, Albert Ayler ect.) and his favorite patterns and colors but he always try to remodel, disassemble and translate the sounds he hears. On rare occasions he can play a covertune but he prefers to write/create/play everything himself. “It doesn`t fell right to me playing other people`s music. Maybe it is because I know it is not mine. I fell it is some others story that I am telling - it is a kind of an alienation”. Martin also believes in obstructions in music. He considers obstructions as a remedy for creating. And his most significant obstruction must be that he does not work with overdubs. Everything must be played as heard in real time. “That way I can make my music more authentic. I feel that I can be present in the moment on a hole other level. Maybe it is considered “old school” but I like it that way. You know, it is just a man and his instrument – a craftsman in process” he says. For many years he played in the trio DaFuGa that toured around Denmark for almost 8 years. Since then he has worked as a solo guitarist. In this context he has played concerts in Denmark at museums, festivals, small venues ect. The response has been surprising good (considered the somewhat narrow music genre) and his repeating patterns and almost hypnotic way of playing has left a lasting impression on the audience. Tar Gui is his official solo album debut (on vinyl) and consists of 10 pieces for guitar and 2 for banjo. It is an album full of decolorization, beauty spots, open wounds, small animals, love, rashes and other qualities. Here, no robot can hit the real edges of the music. It's music between man and wood. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Oliver Petersen | Olli Petersen | Olli Petersen (alias Oliver Petersen), another pseudonym "Olli Zischt" as a policeman in the Swabian rock theater group "Odeng", born in Stuttgart in 1966, is a German guitarist, singer, actor and entrepreneur. He was the guitarist of the New Age Electro Rock formation "Ricochet" from 1983 to 1984. Then guitarist and singer in "Scarlet Heels", a rock band from Stuttgart, who mixed their own songs with covers and in 1987 published a homage to the first victories of tennis legend Steffi Graf (Steffi's Rap). In 1989 he was a founding member of "Gonzo - Schwabenrock from Stuttgart". With this band he released 5 albums and a DVD from the 20th anniversary of the band's 23-year history. First attention came through TV appearances with Gonzo on the SWR show "Mundart & Musik" with Christina Reichert and Uwe Hübner at the beginning of the 90s and the SWR-Landesschau, which was broadcast nationwide. Later through joint appearances with the Swabian rock legends Alexander Köberlein and Wolle Kriwanek (IGA Stuttgart 1993, live broadcast on Radio 7 with around 100,000 listeners on the radio and around 2,500 viewers live on the Killesberg open-air stage). Last but not least, as a band member of Gonzo, he was part of the exhibition and the accompanying volume "Swabian Pictures - For the Construction of a Regional Character" of the Ludwig Uhland Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies at the University of Tübingen. After leaving Gonzo, he founded the Swabian rock theater formation "Odeng" with other colleagues from the local music scene in the greater Stuttgart area. Here, own songs in Swabian dialect were combined with a criminalistic stage play in dialect, in which traditional Swabian dishes combined with a dialect rock theater were presented as a "full Swabian event" for the first time. In 2014 he took first place in the audience voting at the TROLLINGER SONG CONTEST of the wine cooperative in the Stuttgart area with ODENG and the song "Trollinger, guader Wei für guade Leut" ("Trollinger, good wine for good people"). In addition to his work as a musician and independent management consultant (M&A consultant), he appeared from time to time in supporting roles in various TV formats from 2011 onwards. Most recently in 2019 as a gardener in the ZDF series SOKO-Stuttgart in german television. Petersen is married and lives in Stuttgart. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Knout | Swedish Nu Metal band from Borlänge and Avesta, Sweden. Formed in 2000. In January 2000 four guys from the small town Borlänge/Sweden formed a band called KNOUT, and about four months later they found a singer in Niklas Franzen from Avesta, and the setting was complete. Their first demo "69 Stitches" was released in june 2000. It includes three songs. The first demo was recorded only a few days after Niklas had joined, so all vocals was made in a real Hurry. After 69 stitches the guys made a few gigs but held a low profile (laziness!). But in January 2001 they entered the studio to record demo number two "Cuckoo Phobia". Eight songs was made on that one, and the guys had some time on this demo. After some local touring they joined a music contest called "garagerocken". The band won easy and the price was ten hours in a studio and 300 pressed cd. Before the recording of "Manwhore" the band decided they needed a new drummer ,so Micke was replaced by Daniel Liljeqvist from Ludvika and in early November 2001 they went to the studio to record "Manwhore". In January the band had there releaseparty for "Manwhore" on the local club Bolanche. The gig was not one of the best performances they had done, singer Niklas was way to drunk and the whole gig sounded bad. After the performance at Bolanche the band decided they needed a new singer. So tired of Niklas they replaced him with Hans from Gävle. They wrote some new songs with their new singer and went out doing some local gigs again. Spring 2002 they once again entered the studio this time for the making of the self titled demo "Knout" now the band had some new self-confidence. Later that year they decided to make a test. The singer Sonny from Falun was added to the group and the song "Airtime" was recorded with two singers. and the band rehearsed and performed for a while with two singers. After a period if time the band decided it was best with only one singer so Sonny left the band. February 2003 Knout´s new demo is recorded and it sounds great. However in late 2006, the band ultimately broke up due to their unpopularity. | |

He was a member of the music group Heartbreak Hotel from 1974 to 1983. and is now in the show band Grabbarna. He began using the name Walter Kurtsson as early as 1972. This was to hide his real identity in the radio's P3 program Pop i sommarnatt with Kjell Alinge where he sang "Kan du tänka dej en sommar utan sol och bad". Torsén had previously submitted his own songs but never had them played, so he tried his worst and succeeded. In the years 1996–1998 Walter Kurtsson made Dolda mikrofånen in P4 Sörmland, a kind of hidden camera but without a camera. The program item became so popular that Torsén released the album Etta på topplistan! In 1999, the second album Mest Walter was released on Bert Karlsson's record label. In addition to stage appearances and albums, Walter Kurtsson also appears as a cartoonist under the heading "Mitt Walter Ego" in the comic magazine Pondus, also in the Norwegian edition. In 2011, Walter Kurtsson made his TV debut in Talang 2011 where he went on to the final audition. Walter performed the songs "Walters Rock" and "Walters Polska" with semi-acoustic guitar and balloon harmonica. | Search | Add | 6 | Art Telepaths | George Scarlatos was the bass player and –mainly– the composer of nearly every song by Magic De Spell during the ’80s. During the summer of 2011, when listening to an old cassette of Magic De Spell supporting “The Fall” at their 1982 concert in Sporting stadium, searching for the track “Crime” for Geheimnis Records’ 2nd release (Magic De Spell – Nightmare / 30th anniversary edition), he found 4 songs on the back side, rough recordings with an acoustic guitar. One of them was “Chains Of Love”, which was later included on “Kiss The Mirror” LP. The rest (Drag You Down, Lies, Tue Ma Cervelle) remained forgotten in a drawer. These 3 songs along with one more (not recorded, but always kept alive on George’s mind, titled “Heaven Up There”) were dropped, because they were written during a difficult period for Magic De Spell, their transition from punk to dark electronic/new wave sound. Two of these were composed in March 1982, when the old era was fading away, the other two after two months. But, for different reasons other songs were selected, during the preparation of Magic De Spell’s first full length album “A Body In A Snare”. During the summer and autumn of 2012, George Scarlatos materializing the Art Telepaths project, accomplished a great endeavor: he managed to gather some friends and colleagues from the 80’s new wave era to record these 4 songs, people who worked with Magic De Spell at the band's first steps and others who had shared the same rehearsal studios, dreams and hopes at the time. Thanasis Scarlatos (Magic De Spell / keyboards, synths) and Theodore Vlahakis (Magic De Spell / drums), Yannis Drenoyannis (Magic De Spell, Anti-Troppau Council, Yeah! / guitars), Pan Thistle (Takis) (Partenogenesis, Forward Music Quintet / vocals) and Vassilis Salapatas (Not 2 Without 3 / vocals) and, last but not least, Costas Mastoris (Metro Decay / synths). The sound engineer was the most experienced one with the sound of the '80s, Chris ‘Snake’ Manolitsis.

Len Henry then teamed-up with younger brother Harvey Henry to form The Henry Brothers Band, after which both brothers pursued solo careers in country music, with Len Henry forming the band Len Henry And Good Company. In the late 1970's Len Henry became a favourite with the late Elizabeth "Ma" Henning, owner operator of the famed Downs Motor Hotel in Winnipeg, as well as the Downs Records Company. As Executive Producer "Ma Henning brought in Nashville's Jack Clements to oversee production of Len Henry's 1978 debut album"Don't Give A Damn Kind Of A Man" (Downs DWNS-1000). The album served up a series of single releases, including the title track (DWNS-100) and the follow-up "She's That Kind Of Woman" b/w "When You're Sad" (DWNS-101). Two other singles from the album were billed as "Len Henry & Good Company", including "Poor Man's Railroad Line" (DWNS-1008) and "Ramblin" (DWNS-110). A second album, "Yesterday's Dreams" (Downs DWNS-81-1001) was released in 1981, this one produced in Winnipeg Studios by Craig Fotheringham. Again, several singles were pulled from the album, including the Barry Brown (of Family Brown) penned tune, "Cold Wind On The Mountain" b/w "Love Has Made A Fool Of Me Again" (DWNS-1001); followed by "Oh My Lady (DWNS-107). The next two singles were released on "Ma" Hennings new record label, Ameri-Can Records, with "What's It Like To Live In Texas" (DH-1001) and "Happy Ever After"(DH-1006), the latter proving to be Len Henry's only national chart showing, peaking at #35 on the RPM Charts in 1983. With the lack of any sustained chart action, Len Henry soon put his recording career on hold. He currently resides in Thorold, Ontario. Len's brother Harvey Henry passed away October 4, 2013 in Roblin, Manitoba.
