Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Weird Biscuit Teatime This band started in 2002 after Daevid Allen and Michael Clare had contributed to a few tracks on the [a=Spirits Burning]'s "[r=5485342]" album with Don Falcone. Listening back to the recordings, Michael found that they had a special quality, a real chemistry. He proposed to Don to make an album, just the three of them and a drummer. Daevid Allen called the trio "Weird". Trevor Sabatelli soon joined on drums, and the band was renamed "Weird Biscuit Teatime". They completed the album DJDDAY in 2005 from material provided by Don Falcone that the other shaped and reshaped into something different. Then, they recorded another album in studio, and remotely over a period of several years, from their different corners of the world, bringing in Paul Sears when Trey was unavailable. Their second album [m=963848] was credited to [a=Daevid Allen Weird Quartet] and released soon after the death of Daevid Allen.

Search Add 2 Сгоревший холодильник Max Kotenkov, Alex Tokko A mythical Russian band whose name means "Burned-Out Refrigerator" (pronounced as "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik"). Having roamed the vast country for years, band members finally settled in Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg) on the western outskirts of Russia. The band consists of Max Kotenkov (guitar, vocals) and Alex Tokko (guitar, vocals). Band members insist that "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is much rather a philosophical concept than just a musical outfit. Being a self-contained musical entity, "Sgorevshyi Kholodilnik" is closely related to a semi-pirate Kaliningrad formation of music enthusiasts called "Radio Einfall".

Search Add 2 Kurt Rasquin Kurt Billig German American opera singer (born May 13, 1890 Hamburg, Germany - died November 14, 1940 in Hamburg, Germany) Born Curt Carl Hermann Billig, Rasquin spent some time in Manchester, England. In February 1915, he arrived in the United States, where he worked as an actor and singer. In 1917, he performed at New York's Yorkville Theatre as a member of Adolf Philipp's stock theater company. In February 1921, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen and used the opportunity to adopt his stage name, Kurt Rasquin, as his new legal name. Between 1920 and 1921, Rasquin made numerous recordings of German songs for [l=Columbia], which billed him as a tenor. In the summer of 1922, he also cut 8 sides for the German [l=Vox (3)] label in Berlin; Vox promoted him as a baritone. At the same time, Rasquin increasingly worked as a merchant, traveling back and forth between Germany and the United States. In 1923, he married the widow of a Hamburg merchant, Antonie Mayr-Bertheau, née Fieke, and settled in Hamburg. Between 1931 and 1938, Rasquin lived in Berlin-Charlottenburg, again as a merchant, but then he seems to have moved back once more to Hamburg, where he died of a heart condition in 1940.

Search Add 2 Kings Of Kaivinkone A kaivinkone is a large track wheeled digging machine. Kings of Kaivinkone was a short lived project which started as a joke by the two remaining members of Ever Had. Tracks were meant to be created in 3 hours or less, otherwise they were thrown away. The music itself was created to be horribly noisy to the point where it will irritate the listener. Each track was either made with legal samples or legal software, but not both. It is uncertain whether more material will be created in the future.

Search Add 2 Judgment JUDGMENT were a Thrash band formed in Cork around 1987 and eventually split around 1992/3. They played all over Ireland and had two releases... ‘Chemical Amusement Park’ and ‘Perfect Murder’. The band then changed tack and another couple of demos tracks were recorded in 1992 which took the band in a more mainstream direction. These tracks were never officially released and the band soon evolved into Mr. NSF… a sort of Alt/Funk/Rock outfit. A far cry from their Thrashy beginnings. Mr. NSF released an EP in 1993 called ‘Leave The Lies’ and another the following year called ‘Nobody’. Roll on another year and the band had evolved yet again. This time releasing another demo under the name ANASAZI. None of these later releases are Metal, but more Alt/Rock and mainstreem sounding. Some members moved to Australia and eventually and Oz/Irish band emerged called FOR ENEMIES OF REASON. One EP has been recorded and released to date. All the releases listed above have been made available for free download on Soundcloud. Link below…

Search Add 2 Waes One A veteran of the California hip hop scene, Oakland based-and-bred producer Waes One has been putting out a steady stream of acclaimed material since his 1997 debut release Instrumentalz. Known for his rich, atmospheric arrangements and classic hip hop production sensibilities, Waes has anchored a multitude of releases over the last two decades. As half of the duo Compound Elements in the late 90's and early 2000's, Waes brought his signature dark, sample heavy sound to prominence with EP releases in 1999 and 2001, followed by the 2003 full length album, The Struggle. Subsequent work with LA-based duo Substance Abuse, featured on the albums Overproof (2006) and Background Music (2013), saw the two MCs ripping Waes One instrumentals alongside legendary MCs such as KRS-ONE ("Rear View"), MC Eiht ("Flossin'"), Tash ("Don't Get Us Wrong") and Saafir ("Sickness"). 2011 saw Waes landing production features on the irreverent Not the 1's EP Why You Cryin'?, and the follow-up, 2016's Everybody's Rappin'. Waes's productions on the latter release included "You Wack" featuring legendary New York MC Kool Keith. Hard Listening (2012), the solo debut from LA born and bred, Oakland based wordsmith Mawnstr (Connoisseurs, Gooch Gang), further cemented Waes One's legacy as a production guru, with the single "The Next Edition (3 Hippos)" featuring Prince Po of Organized Konfusion leading the charge. In 2015, The Gooch Gang's The Gooch EP brought even more accolades, with Waes' high-powered instrumentation driving the 1-2 lyrical punch of MCs Mawnstr and Kaliban. The release featured the standout single "Go Get It" featuring Gunplay. Waes continues his streak of hard-hitting full album productions in 2018 with Dub Esquire's full-length release The Return, featuring Del the Funky Homosapien, P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship, Mawnstr, Deuce Eclipse and more. Carefully crafting his own unmistakable sound over the years, Waes One has kept the rap game grounded in the midst of an era of unprecendented change, remaining innovative and fresh while maintaining respect for the fundamentals of the artform.
