Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | XR66 | Technical death/groove metal band from Kaliningrad, Russia. Started by Anatoliy Smychkov as a continuation of [a=X-Rated 6ex6ex6ex] and [a=Exrated] originally as a solo project in January 2018, later that year expanded to the full band. XR66 takes its roots in 2006 when it was a death metal band called X-Rated 6ex6ex6ex which has released one album "Woodland Belt [Deadly Trap]" but split up during the recording of the second one. Only one man was left - their vocalist Anatoly, who gathered a new recording line up & finished the second album called "SOS" & renamed band to Exrated. But the band couldn't move forward because drummer Oscar Nilsson was from Sweden and it was impossible to rehearse due to geographical separation. The new story of the band began in 2016. At that time Anatoly had joined a local rock band to fill in a role of a bass player. So rock band set off to the Hertz Studio at the beginning of autumn. There was something in the air and Anatoly got an idea to continue the story of X-Rated with a slightly different name and concept. The new band took best ideas from the old songs and started creating new ones.

Couperus' werk omvat allerlei uiteenlopende literaire genres. |

Search | Add | 5 | Croskill | Brazilian Heavy Metal Band. Croskill is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 1989 and was active until 1998. During the years of activity the band recorded two songs on the compilation Whiplash Attack Vol. 1 and an album entitled Escape into Fantasies, considered the first heavy metal concept album in Brazil, released on vinyl in 1991 by the Rock Brigade Records label. Croskill's music during this period reveals striking nuances and rhythmic variations, showing the musical and timeless quality of his work. Bringing influences ranging from 80's heavy metal to 70's progressive rock. Easily identifiable, its sound immediately takes us to the contemporaneity of these musical styles. In 2013, the band got together for a single performance at the renowned Festival DoSol in Natal, in the Northeast of Brazil. This show ended up making the founding members Eri Soares (bass) and Jucian Lima (vocals and drums) feel the impetus to return to activities that ended early. After a few years, more specifically in 2021, during the period of the covid pandemic, the two teamed up again and started composing new songs. This work brings a more avant-garde approach than the music practiced previously, thus presenting a natural maturation in his work, already rich in details and with very elaborate lyrics, a characteristic that is also remarkable in his work. Currently Croskill has Jucian Lima (vocals and drums), Eri Soares (bass), Karim Serri (guitar) and Denilton Falcão (guitar), and is preparing to release new material in 2023, songs with a current footprint , mixing new trends like psychedelic space rock and stoner rock to their progressive metal. Check out Croskill's unique and original work and stay tuned for new releases coming soon and see Croskill at the forefront of Brazilian metal.

Search | Add | 5 | Marios Joannou Elia | Marios Joannou Elia | Composer and artistic director of Cypriot origin, born 19 June 1978. Elia first studied composition with Adriana Hölszky at the Salzburg Mozarteum and with Klaus Huber at the University of Music in Basel. He then studied musicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2004, inspired by the Aristotelian polyaesthetic conception, he developed the concept of 'Polymediality'. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Southampton in 2010, supervised by the British composer Michael Finnissy. Elia’s international breakthrough came in 2011, with the première at Mannheim's Central Square of the one-hour multimedia symphony Autosymphonic, performed by the spectacular combined forces of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg, the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, Stuttgart State Opera Children’s Chorus, 80 automobiles of all types and eras ‘played’ by 120 young musicians, Xavier Naidoo and Söhne Mannheims! According to a study by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, Autosymphonic achieved a TV/media audience of nearly two billion. Since then, Elia has been widely accepted as an innovative mastermind of contemporary culture and has attracted the attention of the mass media. The Südwest Presse wrote: ‘Monumentalist: Elia is considered in the music world to be the man for monumental events’, while The New York Times, Deutsche Welle, Reuters and ARD – among others – have also praised his work. Even before this, his compositions had been regularly performed throughout Europe, Asia and America – his 80-minute opera Die Jagd (2008), for example, was praised for its ‘idiosyncratic sound worlds’ (Die Welt). Elia’s oeuvre of more than 70 pieces to date is multifaceted not only for the diversity of its stylistic musical genres but also for the variety of its intended performance venues. It includes works for opera houses and concert halls – for example, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, and the state opera houses of Hannover, Stuttgart and Skopje, as well as unusual venues, such as Salzburg Airport and Mirabell Gardens, the Transparent Factory of Volkswagen in Dresden and the eight-storey building of the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony. Renowned orchestras, ensembles and soloists, such as the Sinfonietta of the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble and the Austrian Ensemble for New Music have performed his works. Elia has been awarded prestigious international prizes, including the Lutoslawski and the Serocki Awards in Warsaw (2004 and 2008), the Edison Denisov Prize in Moscow (2007), the Luciano Berio Prize in New York (2010), the BMW Prize in Munich (2005) and the Gold Apple of FAMAB for Germany’s best innovative public event (2012). Besides his activity as a composer, Elia has worked as the artistic director of large-scale projects and innovative polymedia events, including the European Capital of Culture initiative (2013–15), the Highlight Celebrations for the Invention of the Car (2009–12), described by The Huffington Post as ‘one of the world’s more remarkable symphony concerts’, and the Tallest Church in the World (2013–15). |

Search | Add | 5 | Psy Goose | Rafael Marques | Psychedelic trance / FullOn Night DJ producer based in Viseu, Portugal Born 18th september 1991, his connection to music began very early specially with electronic music thanks to his uncle that was a deejay. The most psychedelic sounds were the ones he liked more. After a friend listened to one of his mixes he started to become encouraged. A couple of years later his passion for psychedelic music just pumped up and he started to dedicate himself to this way of life. Because he liked trance so much he just learned alone the deejaying art and, then he started to mix live. Nowdays his main references are: Brainwash, X-avenger, Conscious Chaos, X-side, Stereopanic, Frozen Ghost, Critical Mass, Tantrum and so on…We may say that PsyGoose is extremely electric and has his own style. His sets are very rhythmic. Hot grooves, nice taste and loads of energy. Always improving! |

Search | Add | 5 | Aloha Sluts | Aloha Sluts is an instrumental surf-trio from The Netherlands. Their music can be described as a mix between the reverb-drenched surf of Dick Dale and the fuzzy primal rock'n'roll of Link Wray. So how did the three Dutch gentlemen find each other? Unbelievable but true, they met in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA! And this little rock’n’roll fairy tale becomes even more unbelievable if you know that they met in the pool during a poolparty at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly 2014 festival, with one of the worlds best surfbands playing on the stage (Los Straitjackets). Guitarplayer Arny (Los Cheatos, The Last Post) found himself in a conversation with drummer John (Betty’s Doghouse) about, of course, music. After finding out they both play in bands and like surfmusic they decide to get together sometimes. At the same moment bassplayer Eric (Stacy Cats) swims nearby and joins the conversation! In May the band records an EP (Return of the Sluts) with producer Sven Lens (known for his work on the Snoop Dogg & Willie Nelson hit ‘Buy my Medicine’). The EP is released on vinyl by legendary rockabilly label Tombstone Records Holland (Space Cadets, Necromantix) in the beginning of 2016. The cover art of the EP is made by the well known American cartoonist Shawn Dickinson.

Kitagawa (born October 23, 1931, Los Angeles, California, USA – died July 9, 2019), known professionally as Johnny Kitagawa (ジャニー喜多川), was a Japanese-American businessman and talent manager. He was the founder and president of [l997919], a production agency for numerous popular boy bands in Japan. He is the youngest brother of [a8214561], who administrated Johnny & Associates for many years. In March 2023, BBC released a documentary centered on the sexual harassment claims against Kitagawa, titled Predator: The Secret Scandal of J-Pop. In April 2023, musician and former Johnny's Jr. Kauan Okamoto told a press conference held at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan that he had been subjected to sexual abuse by Kitagawa on a number of occasions between 2012 and 2016, and called on the company's current management to acknowledge the misconduct. Okamoto estimated that between 100 and 200 boys were invited to Kitagawa's home during his time at Johnny's, and claimed that when Kitagawa told one of his guests to go to bed early, everyone knew "it was your turn." On May 14, 2023, Johnny & Associates president Julie Keiko Fujishima (a niece of Johnny Kitagawa) issued an apology to those that have alleged sexual abuse by Kitagawa. She added that she was committed to implementing measures addressing the victim's needs. |

Search | Add | 5 | Pavees Dance | Aram Bajakian and or Norbert Buerger, guitar Alex Marcelo, keyboards, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, bass also Malcolm Mooney visual art, poetry In 2014, premieres a new collaboration, Sean Noonan Pavees Dance featuring Malcolm Mooney, original singer from CAN In Pavees Dance, Noonan describes himself as an "Irish griot", one who collects tales, legends, and life stories over the course of his journeys and transforms them into raw material, not only from drumming, but in all of his music. Together with Aram Bajakian, his alter ego, and Jamaaladeen Tacuma, mutant bassist from Ornette Coleman's Primetime, they track down Malcolm Mooney, the original Can singer (back to "Monster Movie"). The latter remains famous for having been the shooting-star voice, half Soul, half psychedelic, of one of the more influential experimental Rock bands in History. Jamaaladeen Tacuma perhaps best known for his albums as bandleader on the Gramavision label and for his work with Ornette Coleman during the 1970s and 1980s (particularly in Coleman's Prime Time band). Jamaaladeen's 1988 album Jukebox was nominated for a Grammy Award. Aram Bajakian has performed/recorded with rock legend Lou Reed, Grammy winners Diana Krall and Yusef Lateef, saxophonist John Zorn. "The drummer and composer Sean Noonan approaches postmodern jazz and world music from the same angle of self-discovery ... he manages to make his pieces speak coherently, and in a unified voice." - The New York Times [a=Malcolm Mooney], [a=Sean Noonan], [a=Aram Bajakian], [a=Jamaaladeen Tacuma], [a=Norbert Bürger], [a=Alex Marcelo]

Search | Add | 5 | Theatre Crisp | Damian Hercules, Dave Cox AKA DC, Fearghas Gundy, Jay Baty, John Kirby AKA DJ K-FLiP, Kyle Petch AKA "humbleHAB", Michael Banks, Nicholas Serbina | Eight strangers from Niagara, with one thing in common; Keep’n it Funk, Free, and Casual! Formed in 2008 by lead singer Kyle Petch (aka humbleHAB) Theatre Crisp took a full year to practice and polish their sound to the point where it was sure to turn heads before debuting at their first show. Theatre Crisp hit the scene hard in 2009 delivering a fresh sound to the Hip-Hop community with truly original music and their unique “Funk-Hop” style. ” It would seem to be impossible for a band to create a fresh sound, since so many new artists follow the ruts worn deep by those who came before. But I was surprised, in the best way, by a band called Theatre Crisp…It was the best time I've had at a concert in a really long time.” Erin Wilson Studios The band claims their sound comes from the fact that each member originates from a distinct musical background; ranging from underground Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Metal, Blues and Jazz which can all be detected in their songs. After 3 years of playing countless shows, 2012 was marked as a big year for Theatre Crisp with the release of their debut full length album, “Modern Daze”. Winning Best Original Group of 2012 at the NMA’s on top of being nominated for: Best Male Vocalist, Original Song of the year and Best Music Video. Finally; being granted an opening spot on a tour with BC’s Current Swell on top of countless other shows helped earn the band more popularity and coverage leading into 2013. Theatre Crisp is wasting no time in 2016 by spending time in the studio for their upcoming album (expected to be released in early 2017) while balancing a busy year of shows and festivals already being booked. 2016 is also important because the band welcomes their newest members; Drums: Damian Hercules, Trombone: Fearghas Gundy, Keyboards: Michael Banks & Bass: Nicholas Serbina! The rest of Theatre Crisp consists: of lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Kyle Petch (humbleHAB), lead guitar/producer Jay Baty, DJ: John Kirby AKA DJ K-FLiP and finally 3 time world tap dance champion David Cox adds to the mix to create another layer of percussion and visual spectacle! The band’s unique cross genre sound has allowed them to play with a vast array of artists like: Shad, Bedouin Soundclash, USS, Current Swell, D-Sisive, Dinosaur Bones, Saint Alvia, The Balconies, Organ Thieves, StereoKid, Rebel Emergency, The Johnstones, LMT Connection, Scratch (from The Roots), and My Son The Hurricane just to name a few. Theatre Crisp writes their tunes for people who love life and love having a good time. It’s the type of music you could dance your ass off to, or just sit back and chill out.

Search | Add | 5 | Братья Покрасс | Pokrass brothers (братья Покрасс) were a duo of Soviet composers Dmitry (1899–1978) and Daniel Pokrass (1905–1954), who composed various popular romances and military songs, including famous marches Red Army Is The Strongest (Красная Армия всех сильней) and Budyonny March (Марш Будённого), as well as the music for numerous feature and documentary films. They were one of the originators of the revolutionary aesthetics in Soviet music, and while critics later saw many of their works as propagandist "poster-songs" and denounced them for blatant obsequiousness to the communist regime, at the time Pokrass tunes were broadly popular all across the Soviet Union. Dmitry and Daniel praised Soviet military leaders and politicians in their songs, namely [a=Joseph Stalin], Kliment Voroshilov, and Semyon Budyonny. In the sixties, some of their songs were censored to remove any mentions of Stalin. Dmitry and Daniel were only two of the four Pokrass siblings active in music. The eldest brother Samuel Pokrass (1897–1939) immigrated to the United States in the end of the twenties and had a fairly successful career as Hollywood and Broadway composer. Sam Pokrass was poisoned in New York in 1939. Arkady Pokrass (1898–196?) was a virtuoso pianist and accompanist for various popular artists, including Natalia Tamara (Mitina-Buynitskaya) and Vadim Kozin. Unlike his more opportunistic brothers, Arkady didn't manage to adapt to the new ideological realities of the Soviet Union. After Kozin was arrested and sent to Kolyma in 1939, Arkady Pokrass abruptly ended his career and not much is known about him ever since. In Soviet musicological literature, the names of Arkady and Samuel were practically erased, so Pokrass brothers were seen as a duo of Dmitry and Daniel.
