Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein | The Hilarious House of Frightenstein is a Canadian children's television series, which was produced by Hamilton, Ontario's independent station CHCH-TV in 1971. It was syndicated both in Canada and internationally, and occasionally still appears in some television markets. In Canada, the series has not aired for several years. A quirky sketch comedy series that included some educational content amid its zany humour, the show's cast included Billy Van, Fishka Rais, Guy Big, Mitch Markowitz, Vincent Price, and Julius Sumner Miller. Van played most of the characters on the show. All 130 episodes were made in a nine-month span starting in 1971; the scenes with Price and Miller were all filmed within one summer. | Search | Add | 5 | Technicolor Noir | Technicolor Noir | TECHNICOLOR NOIR .. Noir as in "Film Noir", Movie buff, band songwriter & guitar player Astro's favorite film genre. And Technicolor as in "Technicolor Dreams" but, Noir. "Technicolor Noir" is the sub-genre where the Film Noir is shot in color... Hollywood colors! But, the story of the movie remains dark... which should be telling concerning our music versus our lyrics. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Dresses like a French Art Nouveau gentleman-detective (Hercule Poirot… with assorted mustache! ) and collects rare Garage 45s. A deerstalker cap would make his day, I presume. Seva : Russian spy and I with a French alibi. A delivery boy by trade, he fixes bicycles on the side but, after a past life making Karova Milkshakes, he really loves to quietly cultivate vegetables in his own backyard and occasionally teaches Jazz, writing musical scores. Currently Charging a Wave of Surf instrumental music… Astro : After watching late nights one too many Film Noirs, he had a bad Technicolor Dream that he should write garage-rock songs in his living-room... but, does so sporadically. He used to Bang and Scope out plans but nowadays, more often likes lazing around, listening to old records and going thru thrift-stores and bric-a-brocs on …lazy sunday afternoons; he’s a professional unemployed. An original Eastern halfcast « man-in-black », he hates Western patriots but likes their red, white and blue colors! • Eric : When not wearing casual jeans, tees and sneakers in his leisure time, bangin' on drums in his garage or breading children on weekends, he is the original Suit... the Man of Real Estate ! The only grown-up in the band who has a licence, drives a car around, takes care of business and manages the group’s budget. The most experienced of us all with 4 albums recorded under his belt... he is the Captain of our ship! |

| Search | Add | 5 | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom (Open Fracture) is Anarcho Hardcore Punk band from Senta (Serbia). The initial idea of forming a band started well before it's realization. Somewhere in the winter of 2008 the band started their first rehearsals…they quickly begun work on copyrighted songs! The problematic years of 1990's which brought wars, hate, life and death in the Balkan region did not bring good to anyone. But those years are well behind now. Text columns speak of the abyss that was managed to pull ourselves out of us, and of repercussions, but if a person does not think with his or her head then that person becomes a victim. We call upon everyone to stand up against any form of suppression which might be directed against us… and to make it clear that we will not be just innocent bystanders…main focus it's centered around pain, dealing with hard life, but also with lot of positive aspects such as survival, fight, truth and awareness that always can be worse than it already is. First album called Samokontrola was released in spring 2016. The band went through different lineup changes after recording first album. Ivan Molnar replaced Tihomir Vojnić on bass, and Palfi Čaba replaced Nyerges Tamas on drums. Further work from the band Otvoreni Prelom you will soon taste for yourselves, as the band already works on new album. Band members are: Mićo Krnjac - vocals Milan Simić Simke - guitar and backing vocals Kristian Bakalić - guitar Ivan Molnar - bass Palfi Čaba - drums |

| Search | Add | 5 | Specimen-X | Indisputably one of the first bands in the world to establish its own web domain (specimenx.com in 1995) and to release music in the MP3 format (1997), Boston’s Specimen-X took the underground scene by storm over the course of five years, crafting out a signature brand of melodic hard rock and metal. Reknowned for the intensity of its performances, diversity in songwriting, and lyrics and performances themed around the perils of technology and social commentary, the band was the first place winner of Mass. Communication College’s 2000 Battle of the Bands, triumphing over a field of nearly 100 East Coast musical acts. In addition to headlining all of Boston’s and New England’s major venues, Specimen-X’s crowing achievement was its Fall 2000 Tour of Europe, along with distribution of its top-charting funk-metal track track “Every Picture Tells a Lie” on mp3.com‘s “Out of Bounds” compilation – 2,900,000 copies of which were distributed with various consumer computer products. Specimen-X released four critically-acclaimed albums – “The End Is Now” Demo EP (2001) upon the band’s dissolution, “Ascension to Power” Demo EP (2000), 1999′s breakthrough keyboard-laden alternative metal “The Final Hour” (on German label Roddog Records), hailed by independent music critics as “the best thing this genre has served up since the heyday of Faith No More” and 1997′s indie release “Don’t Look Back”. The band also released two professionally produced music videos which were distributed on European music television networks and online as its music received local commercial and national college radio play. Specimen-X “dissolved” amicably in February 2001 after a capstone performance which nearly sold out Boston’s Bill’s Bar – featuring a projected, integrated digital video show and multiple live cameras. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Defending Champions | The Defending Champions | It’s hard to pinpoint just when the seven musical titans that now form The Defending Champions became a band. If you’ve ever listened to their music, you might think that they are telepathic septuplets, born to play each note you are hearing, chosen to lead a legendary convention of life-loving citizens. In truth, they are a bunch of friends who have been connected through the years by an overwhelming desire to write solid music and entertain the hell out of people. Sometime in the year 2007, Matt Ryan and Dean Nevolis, after having been in the same band together since puberty, dissembled their childhood group and joined forces with longtime band-mate, saxophonist Matthew Schoenebaum. Together with drummer Shawn Fichtner, bassist Eric Swiontkowski, trumpeter Jovan Alvarez, and percussionist Dave DeRiso, they form The Defending Champions. Composing with their ears bent to the righteous stylings of soul, ska and gypsy music, and held fast by rock’n’roll, the band is allowed enormous room to impact all those ready to dance and be captivated. They’ve been enjoyed throughout the Tri-State area: performing at such venues as Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, Yogi Berra Stadium, Maxwell’s, Kenny’s Castaways, Knitting Factory, Bitter End, Stanhope House and Rockwood Music Hall. Announced by Jersey Rock Review as “…what is needed in popular music today,” and, in their own words, writing music “intended for the mobilization of the human,” The Defending Champions are what you’ve wanted to hear but didn’t know was sonically possible: better music for the best life. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Hedshel | Nu Metal band from Mesa, AZ, United States From their website in 2001: "There hasn't been a local band in a while that has exploded like Hedshel," Angela Cozzo, Zia Records. "Watching their live performance is a completely insane experience," No Cover Magazine. "...sounds a bit like a giant chain saw ripping into a redwood (the crowd went wild)," Kerry Lengel, Arizona Republic. "...top bands, Hedshel," Michael Beck, KEDJ 106.03, The Edge. Hedshel is Arizona's most unique, hardest hitting, and biggest drawing hardcore band. Having only played out for two months, this in your face group made their presence known by placing third in the Cuervo Locals 2000 Concert Series. Since then, Hedshel has shared billing with the Valley's finest local acts (setting some attendence records), as well as with national acts such as Mudvayne, Cold, Linkin Park, (hed) pe, Systematic, Skin Lab and and Interscope's newly signed Bionic Jive. They have been featured on 106.3 the Edge, KEDJ radio, and the locals only spotlight, 97.9 KUPD. Every Wednesday night Hedshel is the host band at Boston's, a well-established venue for many local and national acts. Hedshel's music is a structured cacophony designed to make you move. Some interesting things to note are that Hedshel has one singer doing all the vocals, the tracks are produced and arranged by the drummer, and their catalogue includes about 30 songs. Their influences range from Primus, Mr. Bungle and Mudvayne, to Beatnuts, and the Scratch Pickles. Though the music is considered hardcore, it's the jazz and funk lines that make it different. Their first, full-length CD, Super Enzymes, produces hardcore anthems like "Cool Like Me" to tracks like "Headache" and "Deception" which convey a full range of instrumentation, turntables and vocals. Since it's release in the summer of 2000, Super Enzymes has charted on the Zia Records Local Top Ten List, and has sold over 1000 copies. Hedshel has recorded new material for a second release, which will be available early 2001. (Hedshel-the metal piece connected to the tone arm that holds the needle on the turntable) | |
| Search | Add | 5 | Gáspár Kornél | Kornél Gáspár | Gáspár Kornél is one of the Hungary’s most precious hidden gems. In the early 90's he released a lot of raw trashy dadaistic cassette tapes. Musically it occupies a space between new wave, electro and industrial. The lyrics, mostly in Hungarian, evoke a poignant and mysterious combination of poetic descriptions of the post-socialist reality, unmistakably dystopic images of the future that are sweetened by an almost folksy humour of a bygone era. This in itself would already win - his projects like [a=Új Látásmód Fúzió], [a=Nosztalgia Direktíva] etc a considerable chapter in the history books of the Hungarian electronic music scene. What makes this baritone voice absolutely inimitable though is the fact that the songs are delivered with a wonderfully charming avant-garde showmanship that is both surprising and self-evident at the same time. |
