Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Shlitz Family Robinson | The Schlitz Family Robinson rose from the ashes of an older band, [a3813761]. Writing and recording songs to a 4 track Tascam, the band aspired to be the [a=Pigface] of comedy music. Targeting celebrities and current trends, the band used catchy jingles and Casio keyboard melodies to create an array of songs with amusing titles. A long list of contributors include [a=Shawn C. Baker], [a=Jason Brown (29)], [a=Sonny Vitkauskas], [a=Joe Kwit], [a=Jay Czechcowski], [a=Chris Widerstrom], [a=Joe Grez (2)], [a=Tim Crosse], Chris May, Rob Nilsson, and countless others. Eventually, a live set up was established for shows using a small core of main members performing with a few instrument switches and several guests vocalists and musicians at any given time. Many fish frys, bathroom sinks, parking lots, and unsuspecting females felt the wrath of The Schlitz Family Robinson. After a ten year hiatus, a reunion show was put togetherand played in 2010, and this slowly unleashed the start of recording a new album in 2013, Stay tuned kids!

Search | Add | 2 | Chrystal Cherniwchan | Chrystal Cherniwchan is a Canadian artist currently living in the UK. She received her BFA in Photography from the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, Canada, and her MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking from the University of Western England (UWE), in Bristol, UK, where she received the Agassi Book Arts Prize for her degree show installation ‘mishappenings’. Recent highlights include exhibiting in a group show ‘Incarnations: When Photography Takes Shape’ at the Rencontres d’Arles, Arles, France, and featuring in the French publication Fisheye Photo Review Vol.2. She uses photography, video, field recordings, text, and voice in her practice, and considers her projects to be speculative in the way they sit in-between the binaries that still prevail in the discourse around documentary image/sound making. Aiming to create hybrid forms, she likes to test and experiment with digital and analogue captures to see how malleable and stretchy processes can be and take them to a place of 'becoming'. She often uses landscape as a stage to perform and/or appropriate narratives that exist within a place, often pointing towards memory, agency, gender, and class, and is interested in our entanglement with nature.

Search | Add | 2 | Norinian | Norinian hails from Haarlem, the Netherlands and describe their music as 'industrialized urban black metal'. Norinian was founded on the threshold of the new millennium by A. Kramm and Tsasil to channel the self-inflicted isolation and feelings of misanthropy of the individual in mass, urban society. Originally playing all the instruments themselves several songs were written and recorded, yet this first demo ‘Dead World’ (2001) was never released to the public. In 2005 two of the songs, recorded over the years ,’Treacherous’ and ‘The Sinner’, were released on the ‘D.E.S.O.L.A.T.E.D.’ demo. Even though the demo was limited to a small number of copies both tracks quickly emerged on a number of foreign websites, receiving praise from listeners spread out from Europe to Japan. After the release Norinian became inactive for quite some time, both members focusing on diverse solo projects. Over two years had passed when A. Kramm and Tsasil were both asked to participate in an unrelated electronic project. Now that they had rekindled their cooperation, inspiration for new material eventually resurfaced as well. With the recruitment of Për on bass Norinian was reformed with an even colder and more industrial sound. This lead to the recording of the 2008 demo ‘Absence Seizure’, featuring an updated version of ‘Sinner’, three new tracks; ‘Cacotopian Masses’, ‘Skin:Machine’, and ‘Sanity’s Void’ and an industrial intro titled ‘Reaktor’. Never officially released Absence Seizure was leaked to the internet from a file sharing website while still in production in 2008. The recordings with unofficial artwork and spelling error in the title (‘Absent Seizure’) made their way to webzines and forums after which the band decided to ‘just leave in to the internet’. 2020 Absence Seizure was released in it’s first physical format as a limited edition cassette tape on the label 'Knekelput'.

Search | Add | 2 | Aboukir | Ralph Maruani | Aboukir is a rock band from Paris, led by multi-instrumentalist & songwriter Ralph Maruani. Born and raised in a family of musicians, Ralph started his musical training at 3 years old on the piano before shifting to guitar and bass. As a teenager, influenced by the French Touch and iconic labels from the Hamburg scene such as DIAL or Smallville, he developed a growing interest for electronic music and co-founded D.KO Records in 2013. Under his Flabaire moniker or as a bassist of the band Secret Value Orchestra, he releases 9 EPs and 4 albums, switching easily from House to Ambient or Jungle. After a decade spent sharpening his producing skills, Ralph goes back to his first love in 2018 and launches the Aboukir project, a rock band developing a singular psychedelic and atmospheric sound on his debut album Digital Introversion. |

Search | Add | 2 | Tita Nzebi | Applying the mould of the African artist is impossible with Tita Nzebi. She has got many sources of inspiration in Gabon where she was born. For a long time this young woman has not paid attention to music. In her village of South Gabon, CDs belonged to this category of rare things and in her family, the priority was given to education and studies. It is at 20s that she became aware of the beauty of the ethnic black music. And …she started apprenticing in music in Paris where she arrived in 1998 for postgraduate studies. She started alone in bars and clubs of the French capital. There she met more and more interesting people and she learnt to control increasingly larger audiences. Tita has now become more and more aware at last that she is a genuine artist and she dedicates herself entirely to her trade. Her success is certainly due to her strenuous work. Her meeting with exceptional musicians like Sec Bidens, Paco Séry, Luciano, Faya Horns, Bost l Bim and the Libreville Gabonese Choir singers gives her music a delightful coloration. Accompanied by her musicians in a perfect synergy, Nzebi makes us live the bewitching rhythms of her country with her body, her powerful voice and her so expressive gesture. Because of her staggering stage presence, the audience is energized and motivated by Tita. Everyone joins in for a sing-along as a chorus. Beyond the beauty of the ethnic black music, in her most recent creation, Tita reveals us the horrifying reality of her country where, as she sings, freedoms are in chains and lives are destroyed. An interpretation expressing the desire to live a dignified life and respect for people; the passionate appeal of a citizen. It is through the nzebi language that she is quite alone to use in a sublime way that Tita generates a certain pride in the Gabonese identity. She brings reconsideration of the culture of her country where this pride has been lost because of the melting of the population.

Search | Add | 2 | Ethiocolor | The band Ethiocolor is getting well known for bridging the gap between past and present by mixing old musical traditions with new ones and coming up with a new form of modern Ethiopian music. The band that is known for their vibrant live shows combines the Azmari culture from the northern part of the country with other regional sounds, and by using amplified versions of traditional instruments, they are pioneering a new way of playing Azmari music. Ethiocolor consists of three generation of musicians and singers using the Kirar (a kind of lyre), Bass Kirar, Washint (flute), Kebero (traditional drums) and Massinqo. According to Melaku Belay who is the leader and founder of Ethiocolor, the goal is not just to assemble the best traditional musicians and create another folk ensemble but to demonstrate that the immense musical heritage of Ethiopia can be performed with a great degree of creativity while maintaining its identity. Each musician has extensive national and international experience. The musicians and dancers have collaborated with traditional music projects, but also with jazz, rock, fusion, and hip hop.
