Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 NOVOID NOVOID Let There Be Solid Rock! "... inspired by our musical idols, we rock fat riffs and groovy songs of today." NOVOID has been founded in Switzerland in 2015 as a church band to bring "joy through music". After several complaints regarding noise level, the rock enthusiasts decide to become independent. "We are evolving the style, but the mission remains the same," according to the founder Phil Keller. Thanks to their high-energy stage presence, they are getting several appearances as well as at the "Scene Openair" in Lustenau and qualify for the finals at the Rheintal Soundz competition 2016. Their demo album "Living In Hell" follows. Meanwhile, the young musicians play on numerous stages and qualify to participate at several competitions. "Hard rock is far from dead, especially not in the Rhine Valley..." so comments the press "der Rheintaler". They managed to delight the audience as the supporting act of the world-famous British hard rock band URIAH HEEP. In autumn 2018 they release their second CD "PAINTLESS". In December 2020 they release their third album "ORNAMENT" They remain true to their mission to "bring joy through good solid Rock". NOVOID members include: (in alphabetical order) Beni Krause - Bass Till Stieger - Rhythm Guitar Luis Dominguez - Vocals Phil Keller - Lead Guitar Simon Wagner - Drums for more info please visit: http://www.novoid.ch

Search Add 2 Ketill Jensson Icelandic tenor singer, born in 1925 in Reykavík, died in 1994. He was one of Iceland's most promising singers in the middle of the century. His singing ability was questioned and several sponsors paid for his three-year singing studies in Milan, Italy, where he studied with several other Icelanders around and before the 1950s. Ketill came home and sang publicly with a good reputation, he went back to Italy twice for further singing studies and in 1955 two albums were released with his solo singing accompanied by Fritz Weisshappell, they contained, among other things, music from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana which he sang in here on Iceland, but he also sang one of the roles in the operetta Leðurblákunn around that time. Furthermore, an album was released in 1956 where he sang together with Guðrúna Á. Simon and the National Theater Choir. At this time, Ketil's singing career was at its peak and all his singing paths seemed straight and wide ahead. But after that he stopped singing for some reasons that are not entirely known. It is known that projects were scarce at that time and Ketill could not survive on singing alone here at home, and so he went to study fish assessment and then worked at Ríkismati marine products for years, which may also have something to say but there followed by both irregular working hours and absences from home. He also got into a scene due to a singing job at the National Theater and seems to have decided not to sing anymore, but it is not entirely clear. Ketill therefore stopped all public singing for about thirty years, but then appeared unexpectedly in 1986 with a new album called Ketill Jensson singur: Jónas Ingimundarson and Fritz Weisshappel play along on the piano. On that album, you could find the old recordings as well as new ones made in the Hlégarð community center. The album, which Ketill released himself, received fair criticism from the music critics of DV, Tímans and Morgunblaðinn, who all agreed that there was more in the older recordings, although the voice was certainly still there. It can be said that external circumstances have shackled Katli and his singing career has become much less than it could have been otherwise. He also faced another shock in his life when he lost one of his sons in a fire so that his life was strewn with thorns. The tenor singer [a7062637] is his son, and his nephews are the brothers [a7304262] and [a996771].

Search Add 2 Korey Livy ‘Korey Livy is a man with boundless passion, pride and bucket loads of real life experience – he is a natural storyteller in performance and song. Australian County Music audiences were first introduced to Korey when he toured with “The Brian Young Show’, ‘Tim McGraw Tribute Show’ and of course to a wider audience when he appeared as a contestant on Australian Idol in 2006. A Toyota Star Maker finalists and CMAA graduate, Korey earned his stripes sharing the stage with Australian country greats, Kasey Chambers, Beccy Cole, Troy Cassar Daley, Melinda Schneider, Sara Storer and Lee Kernaghan. He cruised around the Caribbean as part of the Grand Ole Opry tour, getting up close and personal with American country greats Brad Paisley, Trace Atkins and Bill Anderson. In 2000 Korey released his debut album ‘Home to You’ with songs penned mostly by him and produced by Nash Chambers. ‘Home To You’ the single worked its way to number 6 on the Country Music Radio charts later seeing Korey nominated for rising star and awarded best new talent at the Australian independent country music awards. Fast-forward to 2007 and Korey began collaboration with Roger Corbett at The Valley Studio to produce his second album "That's The Way We Do It Round Here". This time collecting material from Australia and the US, as well co-writing with Drew McAlister and Roger Corbett. The result being a rollercoaster ride of an album jam-packed with energy and emotion. In between recording albums and touring this award winning artist has given his time and commitment to various charity organisations, helping to raise awareness and much needed funds for Bush Fire Appeals, Cancer Awareness, Camp Quality and the Australian Catholic Church in its appeal to raise funds for the children of East Timor. Korey’s ability to sing you a story and make you laugh or cry is a real testament to his amazing life experiences and skill as a singer and songwriter. In 2011 a grey cloud hung of Korey when He lost his closest friend and father Gerard Livy to a silent battle with depression, leaving him feeling lost and broken. Eventually as Korey describes it, he had to learn to live again. 2012 saw Korey once more team up with some of Australia’s finest songwriters and producers, Garth Porter, Drew McAlister and Roger Corbett, bringing the real life stories and raw emotion of his life into his new Album Route 63. Korey believes that we take a few wrong turns in life but we’re all trying to get back to Route 63, the route of faith and courage. He has faith that there is light at the end of the road and more importantly He has the courage to continue to keep looking for that brand new day. “No more fear………………… of learning to live again”!!!

Jensen Location: Herning, Denmark DJ/Artist since: 1998 Affiliation: Mikela Bella Records, Dance N' Dust Records & Cosmic Conspiracy Records Born and raised in Denmark Brian got the taste for electronic music in the late 90's. In 1998 had had his debut djing and things slowly evolved into more and more gigs both in Denmark and abroad. In 2002 he helped start Crotus Records which was later sold to Plusquam Records in Germany. During the time in Crotus Records he helped arrange more than 60 gigs both large and small and released 6 full length cds and one vinyl single. Since 2005 Brian has been connected to Domo Records, Dance N Dust Records, Cosmic Conspiracy Records and MikelaBella Records. Not only has the labels changed over the last 5-6 years but also the music. In the beginning the focus was mainly on progressive trance but that slowly changed to a focus mainly on Minimal/Techno and related sub genres. These days Brian concentrates on his work for Mikelabella Records(Label DJ and A&R) and his own productions under the names Tribalistic Society, Deepaa and DJ Bes. In spring 2010 Brian returned to Denmark after 2 years in New Zealand and with a new studio setup we can expect many of his own productions to hit the market in the near future.

Search Add 2 RicHard-Tek Richard RicHard-Tek discovered the world of electronic music in the early 90's in the South of France, with the Dance/House/Techno/Trance movement, embellished with acid tones. He started to take an interest in the mix in 1995 and he acquired in the process a pair of vinyl turntables, on which he could make his first steps and strengthen his technique with a lot of diligence and personal investment. He literally fell in love with this discipline and his musical choices very quickly turned towards a more underground style, inspired by the Techno of Detroit and the Hardtechno of the time. Before the year 2000, Hardtek, Hardcore and Tribe quickly caught his ears and he got into these styles with even more passion. Loving the Oldschool and the Underground, he continues to play lots of other styles, sometimes much softer, according to his desires and his inspirations of the moment. He now plays fast-tempo livesets with mostly analog hardware devices.

Search Add 2 The Lenzmen Lenzmen are a four-man New York based rap group. The Lenzmen have been making songs together for nearly a decade. The name Lenzmen is structured from Lyrically Enhanced Scientists and expresses the creative slant their version of Hip Hop is geared to. Each Lenzmen is designated with a number and a sight description based on his order of origin (when he joined the group) and personality. The Animal/ Insect Totem, among other things like The Alphabet Symbol Chart and The Planetary Alignment Map further establish the Conceptual Square each Lenzmen develops in. They are That Next Thing to inject a whole new sound into the under nourished music industry. The Lenzmen concept is complete in all angles and has far reaching goals beyond the immediate struggle for survival. The industry needs to awaken from its' hibernation and embrace the aLiENZ.
