Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Scoundrelz | Bio From Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NYzny6NQM8 The Scoundrelz had promise; they were a locally respected band in Ottawa; highly talented, and had signed a record deal with Red Leaf; there were even murmurs of the band being signed to Capitol Records, but that never came to fruition. After the release of their debut single "Heartbreak Hotel/Poor John" (B-Side an original by band leader and keyboardist Buddy Stanton), The A-side "Heartbreak Hotel" entered the RPM Top 100 Singles chart at #98 on November 21st 1966. Followed by, #79 on November 28th, #70 on December 5th, #61 on December 12th and peaking at #60 on December 19th, 1966. After a final return showing on January 2nd 1967 at #83, the single fell off the charts. During 1967, Buddy Stanton's talents got him noticed by well-known Ottawa band "The Townsmen." He made the decision to leave The Scoundrelz, even before seeing through the release of their second single "Follow Me/To A Lovely Lady" (B-Side again by Stanton). Buddy was brought into The Townsmen as keyboardist and singer (an additional role) and John Bacho (guitarist for Ottawa-based "Skalliwags") was brought on for guitar and vocals to replace the recently departed Gary Comeau. After Buddy's departure from The Scoundrelz, the band initially broke up. They were then persuaded to regroup under a new name and release the Scoundrelz long-awaited second single. They chose the new name "[a1453069]" and released "Follow Me/To A Lovely Lady" on Red Leaf Records during May of 1967. | |
| Search | Add | 2 | Former Members Of The N.Y. Rock Ensemble | Following the release of 1972's "Freedomburger", the band broke up into two factions. The late singer/keyboardist Michael Kamen and multi-instrumentalist Dorian Rudnystsky plodded on with the band New York Rock. For their part, frustrated with The Ensemble's inability to break commercially, singer/guitarist Clifton Nivison and drummer Martin Fulterman bailed, continuing their business and creative partnership by signing a deal with the Scepter Records affiliated Opal Productions. Working for Opal, over the next two years Nivison and Fulterman undertook a broad array of assignments, including writing material for other artists, preparing and recording demos, recording tracks under various aliases, and producing material. Once again frustrated with the lack of recognition, Fulterman quit Opal in 1974, relocating to Los Angeles where he found work scoring music for television and film. Regardless of whether they had legal rights to the material, at some point in the mid-1970s Opal management sold the Nivison and Fulterman material held in its vaults to the Tomorrow label. Even though the relationship was somewhat tenuous, Tomorrow management was clever enough to exploit the pair's connection with The New York Rock and Roll Ensemble. So in an odd way Tomorrow actually deserved some credit for truth in advertising (at least this time out), since the material literally represented work by 'former members' of The New York Rock Ensemble. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Burden Of Proof | Oi Punk Hardcore band from NYC (USA). The 1986 version of the Nihilistics, with original member Mike still on bass joined by Paul Bearer on vocals, Jon Page on guitar and Jon 'Wrecking Machine' on drums. Paul was replaced by Joe for a couple of shows played as the Nihilistics, then Wrecking Machine was replaced by Billy Psycho and the band changed its name to the Prophets of Doom which lasted a couple of shows into early 1987. After this, Mike, Billy Psycho and Brian started practicing - Billy left and Wrecking Machine returned - the band named itself Burden of Proof - Mark Adams (pre-In Your Face) sang for a couple of practices (which exist on an old cassette) - then Pete 'Sketch' came in on vocals and that lineup recorded the 12" in early 1988. And then it all fell apart, and Mike got back together with Ron and a couple of new guys and the Nihilistics were back and continue to this day. -Burden Of Proof facebook page Vocals: Pete 'Sketch' Guitar: Brian Bass: Mike King (5) Drums: Jon 'Wrecking Machine' | |

| Search | Add | 2 | 1984 Love Machine | The Loved Ones were a regular and a favourite at the "Draught House," at the foot of Perry street (125 S. Perry St.) for a number of years beginning about 1967 and continuing probably until its closing or the break-up of the band. The Draught House, one of Davenport's most famous and talked about social clubs didn't last long. It opened in the summer of 1965 and closed in 1970. For legal purposes, The Loved Ones had to change their name because another group by that name already existed. In fact, there were at least two. The members put their heads together and came up with "1984 Love Machine," perhaps alluding to the futuristic way-out sound the band created with a psychedelic fuzzy guitar. Their single included "Magic Baby," backed with "You're Breaking My Heart," recorded for the CBS International label of Nashville. It is believed that The Loved Ones was made up of members Cable Von Maur II and his wife Debbie (Dowdal) Von Maur, Ralph Iaccarino, Bob Teague, Tyson Kindell and Les Bell. As the "1984 Love Machine," the group played Wharton Field House on April 3, 1969, opening up for the legendary band [a215471]. Also playing that night was a relatively unknown group out of Chicago known as [a1355190]. The Loved Ones were really a good band with a bright future, but as often happened in those days, drugs and egos eventually broke the band up. Leslie (Les) Bell became an art professor at St. Ambrose College. Ralph Iaccarino was also an art instructor at St. Paul the Apostle School in Davenport. He was not only a very talented artist as a painter, but also as a song writer. He came to Davenport from New Haven, Connecticut about 1965 to attend St. Ambrose College where he majored in philosophy and minored in art. Tyson Kindell would later take his talents to Los Angeles where he became influential in the punk rock scene as [a322790] with a band named [a128581]. He became a very successful guitarist, and guitar designer and maker. Cable Von Maur started a successful construction business and was still performing locally into the early '80s with his group called the Torpedoes. The 1984 Love Machine's "Magic Baby" was written about Cable and Debbie's newborn daughter Rachel. The flip, "You're Breaking My Heart" was also a band original that was penned by Cable Von Maur. Credited with writing "Magic Baby" and producing the single in Nashville was [a379712] | |

It all merges into a perfect, a little dark and dreamy soundscape. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Aaron Thumpa Thompson | About Aaron "Thumpa" Thomspon / MystikCal Productions Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Aaron “Thumpa” Bassie is a reggae musician, recording artist, and producer who has worked with countless artists, including but not limited to: Anthony B, Perfect Giddimani, Lutan Fyah, Norris Man, Yami Bolo, and grammy nominated reggae harmony group The Itals. His first reggae album was “Rasta Business” by Burning Spear and it forever changed his life and musical direction. Following after was a vast collection by the likes of Roots Radics, Steel Pulse, and even some earlier classics from Duke Reid and Studio One. In 2014, Aaron started Roots Shack Productions to book shows for International favorite General Smiley (of Michigan and Smiley). This would jumpstart his ambition for promoting and recording artists from around the globe. In 2018, Aaron would team up with James Lord of Irie Sounds International from Jamaica to record various tracks on Mikey General’s release, “Tewahedo” (Zojak). It was then that Aaron founded MystikCal Productions, to expand on his already growing vocabulary in the mainstream reggae market. Fast forward to 2020, under the MystikCal Production banner, Aaron will be releasing his first debut single titled “Murder She Cried” by Jamaican reggae sensation GinJah (Ginger) available on all digital media outlets. The expected release date will be April 20, 2020. Stay in the loop and keep in touch by subscribing and following below. Peace and Love! facebook.com/mystikcalproductions IG @ justapassingglance | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Mélodie Gimard | The French master pianist Mélodie Gimard blends Flamenco with Jazz and Classical music with an utterly elegant and contemporary approach, freedom of expression and inspiration. As a former dancer, Mel Gimard translates the movements from Flamenco dances into music. In her compositions, we find influences from both traditional and contemporary Flamenco. El Chozas de Jerez, Manolo Caracol, Moraito, Bebo Valdes, Ibrahim Maalouf and Tigran Hamasyan. Performed with an exquisite line up of the new Spanish and Cuban generation of musicians in the field of Flamenco and Jazz, the music of Mel Gimard is stunning. References to her roots with a fearless approach by the piano prodigy and her knowledge for folklore and classics, results in a beautiful oeuvre by one of the most exciting pianists of her generation. A must for any Flamenco lover! | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Ann Duggan | Ann and her musicians have travelled the length and breadth of both the UK and America pedalling the songs that have meant so much to so many people. Songs that have taken audiences on a roller coaster of emotions where the hardest men have been moved to tears whilst at the same time been lifted into a state of euphoria. These are not the songs for the faint hearted, they make you think and carry you on a journey. Each self-penned song is different from the other and makes you feel that sometime, somewhere you've heard it before. Ann has been described as a torch singer, somewhere between Stevie Nicks and Bette Midler. Her trusted guitarist has been likened to Richard Thompson, Johnny Marr and Eddy Shaver. As a duo they are a powerhouse to be reckoned with garnering the highest respect from the musicians that join them on different projects and performances along the way. | |
