Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | Στέλιος Κερασίδης | Στέλιος Κερασίδης = Stelios Kerasidis | The "new Mozart", as the media around the world likes to call him. Search | Add | 9 | John Aidan | The Belgian Producer is known for his unique progressive trance sound. His slow type of trance is a laid-back atmosphere type, which can be relaxed to the listener. Still further, one can say that his music is a journey through the spheres and atmospheres of the melodies and sounds. But always with a penchant for melodic trance John creates it skillfully to connect the individual styles together. John Aidan was born in Seoul, South Korea on the 10th of September 1982. Coming from a family of singers and musicians his passion for music started at young age. In his youth lots of his pocket money was spent on records, from then on he was excited to know how tracks were made. Johns main interest was producing trance tracks on the first place, not mixing them. At the age of 16 he made his first studio debut with his cousin Owen Replay in Brussels(Ohm Studio). After a while John started to experiment with other music styles and came to the idea of merging them together. His great influences first came from local Belgian producers and later then from the greater world star producers. John made his own way to producing tracks, did a lot of research and once and while a good friend/producer gave him some useful tips to improve the quality of his tracks.

Search | Add | 9 | B.J. Hegen Blues Band | Nederland Members: B.J. Hegen [The Iron Man] (vocal, guitar, harmonica), Eric Zuidema [little Weazel] (guitar), Cynthio Ooms [STeady Rollin'] (bass), Will Drenth [Big Eyes] (drums) B.J.

Search | Add | 9 | Михаил Эпельбаум | Эпельбаум Михаил Иосифович | 1894-1957 Jewish singer and actor. He studied at home teachers, then in a private gymnasium and at the Warsaw Musical Institute. From 1911 he took part in the ethnographic expedition in the towns of Podolia and Volhynia, where he recorded samples of Jewish folk music. He performed a lot in the composition of Jewish theatrical (mainly musical-dramatic) collectives: in 1910 and 1912, in the troupe I.Korik (1876-1947) and A.Vainstein, in 1911 - in the company of S.Genfer (1874-1913), in 1913 and 1915-16. - in the collective of L. Rappel, in 1914-15. - A.Fishzon, in 1916-17. - N. Lipovsky (1874-1928). After the October Revolution, he performed for some time at the Russian Theater of Musical Comedy and Drama under the direction of IP Brandesko (Moscow), and worked with the outstanding Jewish artist Clara Jung on several occasions. The singer's strong voice (dramatic baritone) allowed him to perform opera arias. At the invitation of the Kiev Opera House, he repeatedly and with unchanging success fulfilled the role of Demon in the opera of the same name by Anton Rubinstein. Epelbaum played in dramatic plays, especially the role of De Silva in "Uriel Acosta" by K. Gutskov. However, the greatest glory of the singer was the fulfillment of Jewish songs on the stage. Epelbaum's repertoire was unusually wide and included songs and ballads recorded by Epelbaum during ethnographic expeditions. In 1927-33 years. Epelbaum toured with a concert program in Europe, America, Africa; the performing skill of the "Jewish Chaliapin" was widely recognized in various circles. On his return from the tour, Epelbaum settled in Leningrad (see St. Petersburg), worked at the Theater of Musical Comedy, in the regional philharmonic society, in Lengosestrad, toured the cities of the Soviet Union; his work was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. In the years 1941-45. Epelbaum lived in evacuation in Siberia, worked in the Novosibirsk Concert Association; After the war he returned to Leningrad, performed with concerts of Jewish songs in various cities of the Soviet Union. In 1949, during the defeat of Jewish culture, he was arrested and sentenced to ten years in prison. His wife Rosalia Apelbaum was also convicted. Rehabilitated in 1954, returned to Leningrad. Although the honorary title of the artist was returned, the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR did not allow the Lenkontsert to accept Epelbaum for permanent work, allowing only speeches on a contractual basis. The repertoire of the Jewish song, with which the singer performed, was subjected to severe censorship; often he was not allowed to speak only with the "Jewish" program, prescribing in the first section of the concert to perform Russian songs. However, in the conditions of Khrushchev's "thaw", Epelbaum triumphantly traveled with Jewish songs to many cities of Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States. |

Search | Add | 9 | Ferrara Brain Pan | Ferrara Brain Pan | An acoustic/electronic musical project dedicated to pan-idiomatic explorations beyond the pale of sectarian orthodoxies, being the work of San Francisco composer/multi-instrumentalist Ferrara Brain Pan. Instrumentation runs a spectrum from flutes, saxophones, bass clarinet and recorders to the yidaki (Australian aboriginal didjeridu), shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), and kangling or Tibetan thighbone trumpet. Harmonium, bowed psaltery, percussion, and digital/analog electronic elements further enrich the palette.\\ \\ Ferrara Brain Pan's checkered musical career includes early collaborations with noise music pioneer Boyd Rice aka NON (1970s), the mercifully short-lived goth-damage fiasco Bad Alchemy (80s), ambient dub project 23 Degrees (early 90s), and a fortuitous uncredited appearance on 1994's Rien by Krautrock legends Faust (produced by Jim O'Rourke). In 1998, Ferrara Brain Pan was co-founder of dark ambient duo Darmstadt Pharmacy, and more recently has again joined forces with Ure Thrall (and local SF Bay Area DJ/musician Mr Hate) in a new project called Death Of The West.\\ \\ https://web.archive.org/web/20080703213412/http://formsofthingsunknown.com/index2.html |

He was then introduced to Joe Delpit and Reginal Brown to sing along with their show and dance band "The 13th Amendments. It didn't take long before Tunnie was a full member of the band and became a featured singer performing throughout Louisiana. After a year and a half of performing at nightclubs, military bases and universities Tunnie landed a record deal with Rick Hall's Fame/UA record label. His first single from 1973 was a mid-tempo number entitled "Finders Aren't Always Keepers" flipped with "Do That To Me" It gained National distribution and had some good success. Tunnie left Fame records and was introduced to Stax record executives Al Bell and John Smith. After signing with Stax Tunnie met legendary writer and performer David Porter where they recorded an album which was scheduled for release around 1973/74. Unfortunately Stax's association with CBS came to a halt and the project got shelved. Tunnie went home and carried on performing around the Louisiana area with his new band Sweet Music Orchestra"

Search | Add | 9 | Plague Rat | PLAGUE RAT is a Dark Synth artist based in Arcata, California, US. PLAGUE RAT blends elements of the Occult and Electronic music. "Beyond the blasted mountain peaks of the Mountains Of Metal. Beyond the endless Seas of Kourg. Picking through the ruins of the once great ancient cities of the Neon Lords stalks a mysterious being. He is the sole servant of sickness. Called the PLAGUE RAT, he scurries among the Sonic Kingdoms leaving nothing but death behind him in his endless travels. Those who hear the siren's song of the PLAGUE RAT are at least offered the panacea of facing oblivion, after experiencing the true excess life can offer. Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends."

Search | Add | 9 | Kim Köster | Kim Köster grew up in the picturesque artists’ village of Worpswede. In 1994 he begins to become active in the graffiti scene and to fashion the public space with his pieces under the pseudonym MIKone. With the decision to move to Berlin he broke away from the limited letter-based graffiti style and turned his focus on new media and fine arts. Today Kim Köster (born 1981) embarks on a random journey through reality and imagination. His works (mural painting, photography and installations spanning multiple rooms) are inspired by individual perception and atmospheric intuition. On this intuitive journey “souvenirs” emerge that appear apocalyptic through the complexity of the used media and nonetheless, even though without conceptual intent, vitalize existing structures. In this way in 2003/2004 the interdisciplinary art project 99rooms in collaboration with Richard Schumann, Stephan Schulz and Johannes Bünemann comes into existence. It has lured about 2 million visitors from around the globe in the rooms of abandoned industrial buildings and turns each individual into a participant of one of his intuitive journeys. His recent works "POSITIVE-NEGATIVE" display contrasted experiences of a surreal excursion into the constant play of light and shade. The interaction of painting and negative-developed slides provides impressive confusion in an inspiring exaggerated world of colors. Search | Add | 9 | Philippine Brass Band | Philippine culture is a combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The Philippines exhibits aspects found in other Asian countries with a Malay heritage, yet its culture also displays a significant amount of Spanish and American influences. Traditional festivities known as barrio fiestas (district festivals) to commemorate the feast days of patron saints are common. The Moriones Festival and Sinulog Festival are a couple of the most well-known. These community celebrations are times for feasting, music, and dancing. Some traditions, however, are changing or gradually being forgotten due to modernization. The Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company has been lauded for preserving many of the various traditional folk dances found throughout the Philippines. They are famed for their iconic performances of Philippine dances such as the tinikling and singkil that both feature the use of clashing bamboo poles. In these fiestas and festivals various bands and ensemble play the Brass Band Instruments- the tuba, xylophone, saxophone, clarinet and oboe. The sheet above issued in 2001 features these instruments.
