Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

On each motherboard as in labyrinths flows of the energy giving life wander. Just like in man, there is a trace of the fundamental principle that allows us to seek a connection with nature in the creation of a new world. In a new reality, music is a cyborg of art, mixing natural analog sounds and crystal digital waves. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Dave Bichard | Rachel James | Producer, writer, multi-instrumentalist & DJ from Manchester, England. Diagnosed as transgender in 2007 and now better known as Rachel James. BIOGRAPHY – UPDATED JULY 2012 Rachel Ellektra AKA Rachel James. Musician, song-writer, producer, remixer, sound engineer, DJ and much more besides. She’s written music for and with artists like Angie Brown, Joy Malcolm and Steve Strange, produced for labels like Sony Music and Neo Records and has been recommended by the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Redanka and Eddie Gordon. Multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre producer, she is almost impossible to ‘pigeon-hole’. So who is she and how did it all begin?… Rachel started out as a musician at just 5 years old playing keyboard, violin and guitar and was already in her first rock band at 13. When the dance music bug bit her at the tender age of 15, she began DJ’ing and progressed quickly music production. With borrowed and blagged equipment, Rachel soon had the basis of a small studio set up at home and was putting demos together and sending them out to labels eventually attracting the attention of Grant Nelson. She headed to London and co-wrote a couple of tracks for Nice ‘n’ Ripe alongside Grant. Rachel went on to produce for several labels and in the late 90’s she hooked up with Eddie Gordon of Neo Records who started putting remix work her way. These mixes gained her the attention of the A-list DJ’s and several BBC Radio 1 plays for her music. In 2001 Rachel’s cunning mash-up of David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ with DSK’s ‘What Would We Do’ got tongues wagging and dance floors moving. Aczess’ cheekily titled ‘Do What We Would picked up the attention of many a big name DJ playing it in Ibiza that summer and went on to get signed to Sony’s dance off-shoot INCredible. The track went on to be a massive club smash topping many well-known dance charts. In more recent years Rachel's label Axis Trax was born. It was initially a label to push out Rachel’s own musical doodles but it fast developed into a magnet for fabulous, undiscovered as well as well-established dance artists. The label though started on a zero budget soon attracted a large fan base celebrated it’s 1st birthday with a big bash at Ministry of Sound, London. Month on month Axis Trax grew and so did Rachel’s reputation as a producer/remixer. Over the past 3 years she has remixed for a host of artists including Jessie J, Black Eyed Peas, Marvin Gaye, Flash Brothers, X-Press 2, Redanka, Angelic, Amanda Wilson, Peyton, Graeme Park, Nightstylers, Mazie Williams, Joyce Sims, N-Joi, Pete Doyle, Freddy Bastone, Pepper Mashay, Rita Campbell, 7th Heaven, Banderas and Awesome 3 to name a few. Rachel is currently working on new projects with Blue Amazon and also co-writing and producing her debut album under her guise of Avro. RECENT INDUSTRY COMMENTS ON RACHEL... “Rachel, you are DA BOMB!” (Sterling Void) “You can clearly turn your hand to anything and produce quality.” (Lee Softly aka Blue Amazon) “You are truly multi-talented! Where have you been all my life?” (Andy Holt aka Redanka/Tarantella/DATAR) "I've a lot of time for Rachel and admire her hugely!" (Andy Wetson - Almighty/7th Heaven) "What can we say about Rachel’s mixes except A+!" (K-Klass) "I love your work!" (Kenny Thomas) "Rachel, are you related to King Midas? Everything you touch currently turns to gold!" (Jules Little - Global Dancefloor Radio show) "Rachel, I literally cried when I heard 'Halo'! It sounds AMAZING! Best thing I've ever heard myself on!" So much is down to you, so thank you again for doing such an amazing job on engineering and co-production!" (Jason Gardiner - White Knights, Champion Records). "Rachel is a great producer/remixer!" (Peyton - Hed Kandi/Fierce Angel/Strictly Rhythm). "I think Rachel is very talented." (Joyce Sims - Singer/songwriter). "With your multi, multi-talent, and my vocals we could be really good!" | Search | Add | 9 | Simões Da Hora | Joaquim Simões da Hora | Portuguese organist, producer and recording supervisor for classical releases. Joaquim Simões da Hora (1941-1996) stood out in the last quarter of the 20th century as the greatest Portuguese performer of Iberian Early Music for organ. In this respect his qualities as a performer came to be known in various European countries and even in the United States of America. Working within the ‘new’ Early Music current that arose in the second half of the 20th century, he was one of a generation of performers whose interpretations were founded on the use of historical techniques andinstruments, such as Jordi Savall, Ton Koopman and José Luís Uriol. His performances were recorded in four albums, which demonstrate his considerable capacities as a performer. Joaquim Simões da Hora’s professional activity also extended to the domain of pedagogy, in which he reformed the organ class of the Conservatório Nacional, where he taught between 1977 and 1995. In addition to his activities as performer and teacher, throughout his career he was deeply involved in publicising the heritage of Portuguese music, especially in relation to the organ, as well as in producing and providing musical supervision of many of the sound recordings of classical music published in Portugal in the last three decades of the 20th century. Joaquim Simões da Hora left this world in April 1996. He remains, however, as one of the great organists of recent history. His legacy is felt in the impetus he gave to awakening the interest of young performers of Early Music for organ, in his sound recordings and in his promotion of musical life in Portugal in relation to the organ from the mid 90s onwards, through the systematic creation of music festivals for organ. in HORA, Tiago Manuel da (2010). "Joaquim Simões da Hora: Intérprete, Pedagog e Divulgador", Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL-FCSH), Master Degree Thesis. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Сучий Лесок | Punk band from Yekaterinburg, Russia. He started out playing drums, but soon took up guitar, bass, keys and singing. He also has his own one-man band called Caddy, where he writes everything, plays all the instruments, sings and produces. In the summer of 2015 he released his solo album to rave reviews, and Norwegian press appointed it the "album of the summer". Sometime in the late 90s, tired of being in bands, rehearsing and touring, he was introduced by friends to the Global Underground series. Already loving bands like Kraftwerk, this was a great way to get the inspiration back. Getting on a different musical path, deep diving into electronic music, learning about its history and how a DJ can keep a crowd on a dancefloor for hours on end. 15 years later, still loving everything from Frank Sinatra and The Beach Boys to Detroit techno, progressive house and ambient, he combines elements from his many influences to create a sound of his own.... |

And launched at the beginning of 2021 in a series of three 12" EPs with 4 tracks on the independent label Meidosem Records. He was part of the group [a=Transpolis] from the end of the 80's. Gilles Le Guen is also a DJ. He created a Mix Series called Decadanse where he develops over four volumes sounds from "February 1978 to September 1983", faithful to the cold wave, synth-pop and post punk of his youth. He collaborated with Marc Colin of the group Nouvelle Vague for a mix of improbable covers of pop classics by new wave groups. He has also contributed to several books and music publications as an editor. | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Ingvar Ambjørnsen | Ingvar Ambjørnsen (1956-2025), born in 1956 in Tönsberg, Norway's most pub-rich town, grew up in the equally less exciting Larvik. He did not complete his gardener's apprenticeship and otherwise worked in various jobs in industry and psychiatry, as informal training for writers, so to speak. First book published in 1981: the untranslated documentary novel "23-salen". Lives in Hamburg since 1985. Married to [a=Gabriele Haefs]. (1956–) is considered one of the great storytellers of contemporary Norwegian literature. His books are characterised by powerful, realistic descriptions of the seamier side of life. The protagonists are often outsiders – described with sympathetic insight and warmth. Loneliness and friendship are expressed in a concise literary style. Since his literary début in 1981 Ambjørnsen has written 18 novels and three collections of short stories, as well as several books for children and youth. The author’s great breakthrough came in 1986 with the novel Hvite niggere (White Trash) – a crass exposure of the plight of that unfortunate soul seeking out an existence in sub-cultures. His most successful novels in recent years is the quartet about the odd-ball Elling; critically acclaimed and very well sold to Ambjørnsen’s wide audience. Ambjørnsen has introduced something entirely new with his books about Elling. His stories contain less external plot, but proportionately more crazy inventiveness and absurd humour. The entire Elling series has been made into three movies. The first one has been shown in many countries and was nominated to an Oscar for best foreign picture in 2001. The theatre play Elling has appeared on stage at several theatres around Europe. | |
