Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | DC Fontana | British alternative band formed by songwriter Mark Mortimer in the mid 1990s who only rose to prominence with their critically-acclaimed debut album 'Six Against Eight' on the DCTone Records in 2010. The group hails from central England and is known for having a continuously evolving line up while featuring a number of different vocalists. 'Six Against Eight' had followed hot on the heels of a limited edition 7" vinyl featuring the group's off-kilter Hammond organ instrumental 'The Contessa' which was paired by 'Snake Charmer,' the latter written by Donald Ross Skinner and Paul Kennedy. Skinner, the long-time producer and guitarist with Julian Cope, has produced all the group's releases and occasionally appears with the group on stage. Since 2013 Skinner has taken a more active role within the band. Kennedy was once with the alternative rock band Salad. The debut album was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, England at the suggestion of Echo & The Bunnymen guitarist Will Sergeant who then supported the band by acting as a DJ at a record release party on Merseyside. 'Six Against Eight' featured compositions by Mortimer and keys player Scott Riley who had previously performed with Spectrum, the occasional solo project by Pete Kember of Spacemen 3. Original DC Fontana guitarist Neil Jones contributed two songs on the 14-tracks strong album which prominently featured horns and Hammond organ together with more experimental material including a collaboration with the internationally renowned Indian sarangi maestro Surinder Sandhu. German classical composer Christian Badzura of Deutsche Gramophon scored the strings which were played by members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Lead vocal duties were shared by Karla Milton and Riley. The record was accompanied by an ambitious short film shot at the Italianate village of Portmeirion in North Wales by London boutique film company Anotherschmuck. Another limited edition single followed in the shape of 'Meshkalina,' a cover of the Peruvian psychedelic rock classic by Traffic Sound and also featuring remixes of 'The Contessa' by Lack of Afro and of the title track by G. Corp. Also featured on the release was another Skinner/Kennedy composition, 'It Don't Worry Me.' Released in 2011, DC Fontana's next release was 'La Contessa' which was sung mostly in French and Italian by acclaimed jazz singer Kicca Ancdriollo. The CD and digital release came out on DCTone with a 12" vinyl edition from Teen Beat Records in Rome, Italy. Some of the songs were alternative versions of songs which first appeared on 'Six Against Eight' with the addition of new material and two cover versions ('Se Telefonando' written by Ennio Morricone, Maurizio Costanzo and Ghigo De Chiara plus Eddie Harris' 'Listen Here'). The group toured incessantly and returned to the studio to produce 'The Pentagram Man EP' in 2013 with a guest appearance by 60s & 70s star Don Fardon (ex The Sorrows) who also joined the band live on stage in front of a huge audience outdoors in León, northern Spain during August of that year. The EP was supported by another short film and came out on DCTone (CD & digital) and Heavy Soul (7"). As well as two version of the Mortimer-penned 'Pentagram Man' (one sung by Fardon, the other by Louise Turner), the record featured another Mortimer composition, 'DevilAngel' together with Riley's 'Satisfied (Part One)', the folky 'What Would It take?' written by guitarist Tony Russell and a trippy collaboration between Mortimer and Skinner called 'Sighed D.C.' After the release of 'Pentagram Man' Mortimer was asked to join the reformed Sorrows by Fardon and featured on their 2014 release 'Gonna Find A Cave' on Rise Above Records. Since 'Pentagram Man,' DC Fontana took an enforced sabbatical due to the ill health of Mortimer but began recording again 2015. Mortimer and Skinner have been working hard in London on a large number of tunes towards what will be the group's next release .

Search | Add | 9 | Los Pibes Trujillo | Ecuatorian brothers Marco Oswaldo, Luis Enrique and Juan Ernesto Trujillo Echanique are better well known for their Christmas Carols album as "Los Pibes Trujillo". The artistic name of the group (Pibes Trujillo) was inherited from one first intent that formed their father with a close relative. Their artistic beginnings were given at "Pablo Julián Gutiérrez" school, in "America" neighborhood of Quito downtown. Their musical leap gave them from the school to the Perpetual Socorro Church in the same neighborhood, the church organist encouraged them to sing Christmas Carols. They were announced in some radio shows in Quito (Radio Tarqui), as well as in broadcast of other radio stations such as Radio Democracia (Quito), Radio Cristal (Guayaquil), Emisora El Prado (Riobamba) and even in the "Julio César Hidalgo" coliseum in Quito. They become known by Segundo Bautista, a non-seer artist that performs keyboards and guitar with whom they recorded a tape demo for send it to Mr. José Domingo Feraud Guzmán (founder of J. D. Feraud Guzman Recordings) in Guayaquil city, they recorded in 1961 a Long Play album in which were included 10 Christmas Carols tracks, also recorded 5 mini discs of 45 RPM. Their only and unique album printed and titled "Dulce Jesus Mio" becomes a classic Christmas Carols in Ecuador that practically has been immortalized into the whole Ecuatorian music. Unfortunately the Trujillo brothers in their childhood didn't had the professional support to continue their career, according to themselves they had too much regret with an uncle of them that was their "manager", this man was acting without scruple (because they were orphans of father and mother), exploited them in such a way that they did not perceive any money gain, yet being the main stars of the spectacle.

Search | Add | 9 | Jazzlib | Taking it back to that real hip hop you gotta touch and feel. The pure essence of droppin' science. Jazzlib, tribe of the Sun. "Jazzlib embodies the values of nature, creativity, one-ness, funk, soul, expression, spontaneity and all-happening. Experiencing the worldly expressions as beautiful flowers that resemble sea urchin barb. It was a mistake that would rule them all because it was the only one that tried." ~Charlie Wellington Cumbersworth the 3rd The Jazzlib is about having fun and reuniting the elements of hip hop that aren't as well integrated these days: MCing, DJing, BBoying and Graff Writting. In the eyes of the Jazzlibs, what's lacking will not be found by changing the music and replicating the golden age, instead it will be found by changing the culture. When the culture supports, promotes and internalizes the values of what Hip-Hop really is (peace, love, unity, respect, having fun) The community attains a level of collective Be-Ness (the ability to be) and the second wave of the golden age will begin. These values constitute a communal environment of infinite creative potential where anything is possible beyond your wildest dreams. The Jazzlib call this place Slumberland and indulge deep into its mystery on their incredibly produced hit track "Jazzlibs In Slumberland" off of their What It Shall Be EP. With this love and acceptance woven into the threading of our culture, mistakes are allowed and become encouraged. The Jazzlib movement states "The greatest threat to creativity in any circumstance is the fear of "making a mistake" and that couldn't be any more true. Its a silly thing to think that something is wrong just because we don't have the means to understand it yet at that moment. This is where the next Jazzlib value enters the spotlight. "Nonsense". Our intellectual understanding of reality is born from symbols/words. Our intellectual understanding of reality is not prescriptive, it is descriptive just as language is. Just as language comes into creation and evolves to describe the infinite so does our culture evolve in the same way. Creation originates as nothing more than an awareness that no words are able to describe, a realization unrecognizable by the mind. A mystery that hides itself in the non-sensory realm because that's where it prefers to be. When nonsense is practiced new methods of understanding are developed and mistakes then become the greatest of creations.

Search | Add | 9 | Tomas Dahl | Tomas Dahl | TD, aka Tomas Dahl from Oslo, Norway has spent the last 20 years playing in various rocks bands, recording albums and touring the world. He started out playing drums, but soon took up guitar, bass, keys and singing. He also has his own one-man band called Caddy, where he writes everything, plays all the instruments, sings and produces. In the summer of 2015 he released his solo album to rave reviews, and Norwegian press appointed it the "album of the summer". Sometime in the late 90s, tired of being in bands, rehearsing and touring, he was introduced by friends to the Global Underground series. Already loving bands like Kraftwerk, this was a great way to get the inspiration back. Getting on a different musical path, deep diving into electronic music, learning about its history and how a DJ can keep a crowd on a dancefloor for hours on end. 15 years later, still loving everything from Frank Sinatra and The Beach Boys to Detroit techno, progressive house and ambient, he combines elements from his many influences to create a sound of his own.... |

Search | Add | 9 | Gosia Bartosik | Gosia Bartosik | Gosia Bartosik (b. 1986) is an artist working in the medium of drawing, painting, installation, linocut and tattooing. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Printmaking at the University of Arts in Poznań in 2012, and she is currently a doctoral student at the same school. Her works are featured in solo and group exhibitions, print publications, street art and other activities going “outside galleries”. Bartosik’s works are a critical commentary to human sensitivity and insensitivity. The artist ask questions about the human condition and points to the way of treating the world, animals and other people. She conveys her observations usually in misshapen forms, “not entirely human, not entirely animal, biologically broken”. Bartosik is one of the foremost promoters of contemporary drawing in Poland. As the artist emphasizes herself, drawing is a separate language and delight. It provides opportunity to exist between several realities. |

Kay Hardcore: " it still happens to me to listen to commercial music and to go clubbing" What brought you in this Hardcore music scene? " I had 14yo when i went to my first underground party, I found myself in Cornillons's basements in Liège, a very particular place.... I got hooked! I knew it was what i wanted to do! It took me a year to learn about how to mix and play with the tunes, Afterwards the live followed quite naturally" When did you start to play in front of a crowd and where? " I was 15yo, i had to play at a birthday party a whole night and i understood there it will become my passion. I remember the intense feeling, it was like a fever burning inside my head. I wanted to create my own music and share it with people. At 17, I played my first live session, in a free party in the fort of Suarlee in Namur at the Hardcorp Soundsystem. they made me part of their crew afterwards." In spite of her young age, Kay Hardcore has already played in important events like: - Hardcorp benefit - Hardcorp vs clandestine Bass 2014 - The lotus club, blaton - Chill2chill 2015 with Andy tea core and darktek at the head(top) of poster - Gabberfm circuit core - And soon Hardcorp vs clandestine 2015. We wanted to ask a question to Kay Hardcore (out of pure curiosity) What would you say to young artists like you who would dream of a carreer in the hardcore scene? " Never give up! Keep on believing in yourself and know how to take criticism. Life is an adventure and everyday is a new chance to learn and progress." By Angie Aka Self Control. |
