Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Caxton Street Jazz Band | The Caxton Street Jazz Band in a jazz band from Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in Brisbane's inner west in 1977 and is today recognised both locally and internationally as one of Australia’s leading jazz bands. Now in its 40th year, the band presents hot, swinging jazz in a manner that elicits enthusiastic responses from listening and dancing audiences alike. Members of the band include some of Australia’s leading jazz players in their idiom, as well as two instrumentalists who are also vocalists. The band’s name derives from the location of its first venue, the Baroona Hall in Caxton St, Brisbane. The band rose to prominence in the ‘80s through its long running stint at the famous “Jazz ‘N Jug” sessions at Brisbane’s Caxton Hotel, as well as numerous appearances in this period at Australian Jazz Conventions and other Festivals. The band rose to prominence in the 80s thanks to its 11 year stint at the Jazz ‘n Jug sessions at the Caxton Hotel. These commenced in March ’81 and continued every Saturday until 1992 when the band split, although Bob Mair (drums) and Bernice Haydock (piano) took over the band name from that time. The band’s premier years in the 80s were probably 1981-4, when it became well-rehearsed, and popular with its repertoire of a blend of serious jazz and novelty numbers (the band played a total of 183 gigs in the year July 1981 to June 1982!). In the mid-80s, some of the longer term members left and were replaced by others who in turn moved on after a few years. The band then enjoyed stability in its lineup into the early 90s, but then a variety of players were used to make up the numbers into 1992. Naturally enough the personnel has changed a number of times over the years, although five of the current 6 members have been together since 2001. This recent continuity of players has contributed to the band’s reputation for being “tight and hot”. | |

Everett Shock was planning to leave the Bay Area and Henry Kaiser asked Shock to record unused material from the past few years before moving away to document the work and compositions of the past few years. For reasons not entirely clear, the record was released under Shock's name rather than [a=name (6)]. Wold described the album as a "love gift" to Shock. The album was mainly recorded in a home studio in southern California. All members of Name except Statham performed on the album. Everett Shock is now a professor at Arizona State University. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Shuniborov and music are inseparably connected since childhood. Playing his parents' tapes and vinyl collections on repeat, he would beg with tears to turn Yury Antonov's 'Moonlight way' on. And then he would break into a dance absorbing the rhythm and dynamics of the piece. ABBA, Boney-M, Michael Jackson, the Army of Lovers, the Beatles and other wonderful records were unfolding for him as he was growing up. Aleks's dad worked as a truck driver and he went on trips far abroad. You may guess how lucky Aleks was to have access to the world of music. This changed his life significantly. The 90's were not the easiest time for Belarus, just as for any other post Soviet country. And he was the one with Pringles, and records from the mysterious abroad. Dad kept buying all the new musical stuff to brighten his long way home. But as soon as he reached home all the tapes found their place on Aleks's shelves. Shuniborov's first DJ experience happened at the age of 14. He practised at house parties after school where school mates were getting addicted to apparently not only music. The school graduation party was a great event at his teen age. Then until his 23 he was continually looking for his own ways of self-expressiin in electronic music. He began to understand rather clearly what he wanted and needed for his favourite activity. Nothing was possible without equipment, skills of making textures, mixing them and producing. 'Music is my best friend, the beloved wife and child. There're no unpleasant sounds, no bad music. My greatest fear is to lose the ability of comprehending sounds, to stop feeling the bit of dynamics, to forget how to mix sounds and enjoy them. That sound like the end of me and for me. ' Shuniborov keeps his mind open. Experimenting, searching for' incorrect' mixes, state-of-the-art dynamics of the tapes filled with complex combinations are born in his studio. Aleks has preserved his internal child not setting boundaries to his freedom at the same time. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Urban Idols | Chicago, 1998: Impressive guitarist Mike Byrne (formerly of the Vindictives & the Geeks), backbone bassist Jason Baygood (the Tupacs and Civic) steady man Tre (Vindictives, New Granadas) on drums and the energetic "firecracker" vocalist Dan Loughead join together to become the Urban Idols. Although their influences grow from Chicago classics Naked Raygun and Pegboy as well as Ireland's best, Stiff Little Fingers, a new spin is put on this old school sound. They master the tricky balance of producing powerful "in your face" music with the necessary catches and hooks to make driving, memorable songs... | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Kaleel Carpè | By way of Greenville, North Carolina, and the streets of Bronx, NY, Kaleel Carpe is a testament to hip hop’s power to convey the depth of human experience. Kaleel's music reflects life in all its facets, narrating stories of triumph, the everyday struggle, and the implementation of joy that defines our existence. Drawing inspiration from the rich production styles of Memphis, the energy of the 808s, and the creativity of drumless sample loops, his sound is an homage to the genre's greats while carving out a unique space that resonates deeply with listeners. Citing influences from production from the likes of Southside, Alchemist, Juicy J, and Dj Dahi to great artists such as Isaiah Rashad, Schoolboy Q, Max B, J. Cole, and Vince Staples, Kaleel's music is a rich tapestry of the sounds that have shaped hip hop over the years. Kaleel's discography is a growing collection of narratives that speak to the heart of the listener but leave room to enjoy the moment. His collaboration with producer Marc Spano on the 2022 project "Game Related" marked a significant milestone, featuring standout tracks "One of One" and "Blue Strips" that showcase his ability to blend insightful lyricism with captivating beats. Following up with the "White Walls" EP in October 2023, Kaleel opened up about personal challenges, family, and introspection, delivering tracks that are as thought-provoking as they are relatable. | |
