Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

From his early youth, Atanas had the opportunity to observe and participate in the dances of Serbians, Albanians, and Gypsies who live in the Skopje area. He performed with the amateur group, Koko Racin. After World War II, he danced for two years with the Yugoslavian Army Ensemble. With the ensemble he was able to travel all over Yugoslavia, studying and learning regional dances and dance styles of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and the two atonomies, Banat and Kosmet, whose cultures are completely different from the other six republics. He was asked to help form Tanec, the Macedonian State Folk Ensemble, where he remained for 19 years as artistic director, choreographer, and lead solo dancer, traveling the world for 16 of those years. Atanas became a famed researcher, choreographer, consultant, and program director for many performing ensembles, such as Koko Racin, The Army Ensemble, Tanec, Ensemble Karpuc Pionerski, Blagoj Sosolcef, and Vlado Tasievski. Atanas Kolarovski Atanas Kolarovski on a button He has researched and collected dances and folk music from the different areas of southern Yugoslavia, including Macedonia, south Serbia, and Shiptar-Albania. In 1964, Atanas made his first teaching tour of the United States, Belgium, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland, awakening interest in Macedonian dance and music around the country and becoming known as "the man with the golden legs." After the second tour, he was reviewed as "the untiring teacher, researcher, chroeographer, consultant . . . a leading ambassador of Macedonia." Since then, besides having taught at all major folk dance camps throughout north America, he has also taught extensively in Europe and east Asia. A great musician, Atanas plays the accordion, the tupan, the kaval, the zurla, and drums. Since the 1970s, he, along with his wife, Ljupka (who was also a lead dancer with Tanec), and daughter has made his home in Seattle, Washington, where, for a while, he operated a successful ethnic restaurant, "Yugoslavia," featuring old-country style cuisine. He still tries to return to his home in Macedonia yearly and still organizes and conducts tours to his native country. Unfortunately, "gypsy" music fell out of favor by the end of the 1920s, leaving Tamara without repertoire and leading to the complete abandonment of her career (Natalia ended her life broke and forgotten). As a big propagator of Russian romance, Arkady also suffered from the new ideological climate, but in the 1930s, he turned back to success by introducing [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/1722392]Vadim Kozin[/url] to the Moscow audience. The singer soon became hugely popular across the whole Soviet Union, and Arkady Pokrass had been accompanying him. In 1936, Pokrass also worked as a conductor of the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure Variety Orchestra in Moscow. After a conflict with Lavrenti Beria in 1939, Kozin was prosecuted and sent to exile in the Kolyma. Pokrass lost his protégé and barely escaped arrest himself. After that, not much is known about his life. One of the last documented mentions was discovered in Tambov archives. He served in Serbian army during the First World War first as a drummer and later as a zither player in the military orchestra. The Serbian army retreated to the South through Albania and the troops have been stationed on the Greek island Corfu. In 1916 Đorđe Marinković composed a nostalgic and Serb nationalistic song "Tamo daleko" that became very popular not only amongst Serb but also among other soldiers on the Thessaloniki front and was rendered into many languages, English title is "Far away over there", French "Au loin, au loin sur Corfu", Czech and Slovak "Tam v dali". The song became an unofficial hymn of Serbs and it is a common believe that it is a traditional one. After the WWI Marinković got the scholarship from the King Peter I personally and moved to France in 1920. In Paris 1922 he copyrighted the composition and lyrics for the song "Tamo daleko" worldwide, the fact officially acknowledged not untill 2008. Formed in Seattle, Washington on the US west coast by Hawk Björn (originally from Sweden) and John Utter (a Washingtonian, also of Scandinavian heritage), bounce the ocean initially caught the attention of Hollywood film producers Rick Stevenson and Robert Redford who wanted to include several of their pop songs in their Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Connelly movie called "Some Girls" MGM 1989. Hawk and John continued to write songs together and were subsequently discovered and signed by Private Music/BMG, a small new age LA record label venturing into the world of pop music by signing artists like Jennifer Warnes, Taj Mahal and Ringo Starr. Their debut album was released worldwide in 1992 by Private Music/BMG. Mainly recorded in Seattle and LA, their self-titled record includes heavy focus on harmony vocals produced by Grammy Award-winning Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and Michael Omartian with help from Glen Ballard. The album yielded a Billboard-charting single in “Throw It All Away” and a significant radio hit with “Wasting My Time”, selling over a quarter-million copies and featured on multiple “Gold” collections released by BMG in 1994 and Island Records in 1995. Contributing musicians on the album include Michael Thompson, Greg Leisz, Steve Berlin, Andy Kravitz and Tim Lerch. In 2023, bounce the ocean returned with a collection of never-before-released mixes of favorite bounce the ocean songs including “It Just Gets Better” and “Wasting My Time” as well as unheard demos featuring legendary Andrew Gold (“Thank You for Being a Friend”) and a never before heard track, “First I’ll Take You” – a snappy danceable powerpop song featuring world-renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Cougar Mellencamp), Neil Stubenhaus on bass, Randy Waldman’s blistering grand piano solo and Jerry Hey’s classic horn section, produced by Grammy Award-winning musician and songwriter, Clif Magness. | |

Después de desintegrarse la Orquesta de los Hermanos Bautista, los hermanos Juan Bautista Calleja y Pedro Bautista Calleja fundan una nueva agrupación bajo el nombre de "Los Satélites del Ritmo" con el deseo de experimentar sonidos y estilos musicales nuevos imprimiendo a cada uno su sello personal, destacando en géneros, como el tropical, los sones, las baladas, los boleros, etcétera. Los Satélites del Ritmo estaban conformados bajo la siguiente orden Juan Bautista Calleja (trompetista, fundador - director) DEP Pedro Bautista Calleja ( pianista, compositor, arreglista - fundador) Alejandro Bautista Navarro (baterista y cantante principal) DEP Juan Antonio Bautista Navarro (bajista) DEP José Nava (guitarrista) Alberto Torres (percusiones) Su primer LP fue grabado en 1976 en la compañía discográfica Discos Gas, bajo el sello Flama 113, en el que contiene temas como "La Llorona", "Esta Noche Corazón" o "Pinotepa", con arreglos de Irving Lara y bajo la dirección artística de Gilberto "Cayito" Moreno. Para 1978, graban un disco completo en la desaparecida compañía Peerless, sin embargo este material no vio la luz por completo, pues solo se lanzó un sencillo con dos temas. Por el lado A, una versión tropical del tema "Churi Churin Fun Flais" escrito por Roberto Gómez Bolaños y por el lado B, y en la misma línea musical, el tema "Eres Toda Una Mujer" de Albert Hammond. Este material hasta el día de hoy no se encuentra completo y se desconoce si existen en las bóvedas de las disqueras, sin embargo se tiene el conocimiento que en este disco vendría el tema "Volcán" con un arreglo tropical. Llegando 1982, la agrupación lanza un disco LP de larga duración. "Interpretando a Pedro Bautista Calleja", fue el nombre del álbum, mismo que contiene temas de quien fue el pianista del grupo, Pedro Bautista Calleja. Este material fue grabado y distribuido bajo el sello de JBC, de Luis J. Bautista Calleja, con número de serie 1005 y prensado en discos de colores, de los que se destacan el azul, verde, naranja, amarillo y rosa. De este disco se desprenden temas como "¿Por qué me buscas amor?", "Tú Lo Quisiste Así", "Río Grande" y "Capullo de Rosa" Este LP no tuvo un sencillo promocional de 45 rpm. La última producción con la alineación original fue grabado en 1985 para su lanzamiento en 1986. Grabado en la ciudad de México, en el estudio de Germaín de la Fuente (miembro de Los Ángeles Negros) y bajo el sello Sonido Fiesta, los Satélites del Ritmo graban lo que sería su cuarto LP y último con la alineación original. Incluyendo temas como Desvelo de Amor, Ella No Baila Sola, Deuda o Mambo Satélite (este tema compuesto por Pedro Bautista Calleja). Sin embargo, por razones desconocidas el material completo tampoco salió a la luz, teniendo solo un sencillo promocional que contiene dos canciones inéditas, "Lágrimas" compuesta por Pedro Bautista Calleja y el tema "El Ritmo del Mundial" escrito por Ramón Rodríguez Anaya, basado en el próximo mundial que se celebró en México, en 1986. Para 1993, la agrupación tuvo otra alineación musical, en donde participarían nuevos músicos, como Felipe Martínez en el saxofón y Luis Rodríguez, en el teclado. Bajo esta nueva estructura lanzarían el disco "16 Éxitos", en el que incluyen temas ya establecidos por otras agrupaciones y dos temas inéditos del conjunto, con arreglos originales de Alejandro Bautista Navarro, tales como "La Cumbia del Lobo" y "Fiesta en el Nueve". Así mismo, graban por segunda ocasión el tema "El Borracho" de Salomón Zárate, el cual fue grabado en su primer LP en 1976, pero ahora bajo el nombre de "El Bohemio" y con otro estilo musical. De igual manera se incluyen los temas " El Tao Tao", "Naila" y "Amigo Bronco". Años después, el grupo tendría otra alineación con el grabaría un último disco en el año 2001. Titulado "A Esa Mujer" y con temas originales del vocalista Alejandro Bautista Navarro, como "A Esa Mujer", "Vuelve" o "Te Extraño". Con este disco, la agrupación marcaría el final de su discografía, conteniendo 14 temas y cerrando las producciones de larga duración de la agrupación, ya que poco tiempo después el grupo se disolvería, marcando así el final de una tradición musical en Oaxaca. | |
