Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 9 Kyle Pepper Kyle Pepper Trance DJ Producer from Plymouth, UK. Kyle Pepper started out mixing at the age of 18, when he was introduced to the skills turntables could be used for by a close friend. Having a passion for music, he practised relentlessly mastering the art of mixing on Vinyl turntables, before progressing into the digital world. Through his teens he drew influence from all types of music, especially the sounds of trance, after discovering it at the well renowned nightclub of the Dance Academy in his hometown of Plymouth, where he heard it on a weekly basis. After supporting and attending many events in his home county, Kyle sent a mix CD he recorded into well established record label and event promoters Liquid Pulse, who booked him for one of their events supporting Mark EG and Lab 4. The promoters were impressed and he was asked to play again on a frequent basis, with all three promoters of the event noting his passion for trance music in the broadest sense. Since then his popularity has soared and Kyle plays various events all around the South of the UK, with brands such as Sequence, Crash Manor Presents, Liquid Pulse, Ignition and many more booking him to play. Kyle's drive doesn't just limit him to playing out in a nightclub, as he is often found in the studio working on original material as well as remakes.

Search Add 9 Plague Rat PLAGUE RAT is a Dark Synth artist based in Arcata, California, US. PLAGUE RAT blends elements of the Occult and Electronic music. "Beyond the blasted mountain peaks of the Mountains Of Metal. Beyond the endless Seas of Kourg. Picking through the ruins of the once great ancient cities of the Neon Lords stalks a mysterious being. He is the sole servant of sickness. Called the PLAGUE RAT, he scurries among the Sonic Kingdoms leaving nothing but death behind him in his endless travels. Those who hear the siren's song of the PLAGUE RAT are at least offered the panacea of facing oblivion, after experiencing the true excess life can offer. Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends."

Search Add 9 Helaku Once upon a time a child was born. He was a kind, loving child always wearing a smile. All over people were amazed at how relaxed and positive someone can be. But when he was on the steps of growing up he found an apple, which everyone said he shouldn’t bite. He was also inquisitive and curious, so he had to taste it. The apple was so sweet, that it made him do foul things for a long time. After years of adventures, wondering and rebelling he found himself stuck suffering at the flames of hell (sink). Most of his friends were ruined or dead. The apple wasn’t so good anymore and he was lost like a snowman in Jamaica. But then one day he got pieces of paper which he ate. It was no normal paper, for it was magical mind altering paper. He had tasted it before, but only had small glimpses of the universe and how it worked. This time it was different, for he had learnt enough during his travels to step further forward. An ancient wise spirit of an indian appeared from the sun. It put a hand on the child’s head and said: “Rise dear child. For you have a destiny to fulfill.” The child was amazed and couldn’t say anything. The indian continued: “I will resurrect you from here to a new dawn, but you must promise me something.” The child nodded his head on agreement. “First you will move where you humans belong, in the middle of nature.” it said. “Second, you will plant shaman seeds for all mankind with love, kindness, knowledge and rhythms.” The child answered: “I will do what you say, please get me out of this misery.” The indian had a sad look: “No, Helaku. You will find your own way out of it, I’m here only to give you a new chance, a new beginning.” The child tried to talk “but how can I…”, but the indian interrupted. “You will find the answers if you just follow what the king, the sun tells you. Follow your instincts, love the world and the universe. It will show you the way. Be true to yourself and others.” “I will do that, I promise.” the boy muttered. “Then there is the third part of trinity which you must fulfill to succeed. It’s probably the most important thing. You must find your soul mate. Together you will rise to new heights of being, which will give you the biggest cosmic energy there is. And with the power of that energy you will be able to do amazing things and help the whole planet. It needs your help.” “True love?” the boy asked. The indian smiled: “Yes my son, you have knowledge of it already. Now you just have to dare.” “But how can I trust anyone after all these heartbreaks and sneaky women I’ve met?” The boy said. “Get a grip of yourself, you will know when the time is right. It will come if you just follow the sun.” The boy nodded. “I will give you new life and you will be reborn. And you will grow beautiful new life all over the universe. Now rise, Helaku my son.” There was a bright flash of the clearest white light there is and it bathed on the boy and the indian disappeared. And so the boy was reborn as Helaku, which is an indian name meaning full of sun. The rest is future or his-tory, possibly her-story, which you will learn some day. Be kind, be love. Be metta. Love life and it will love you back.

Search Add 9 DJ Distorted Senses Ben Van Roey DJ Distorted Senses (Ben van Roey) DJ Distorted Senses is a Belgian Gabber who lives in Antwerp City. He produces and mixes all kinds of Hardcore/Terrorcore/Speedcore. He loves to add psychedelic, trippy and LSD-Sounding influences to his music and tries to do this in experimental styles. He came into the hardcore scene when he was 15 years (1999) old listening to Thunderdome CD's. This was really started by exploring the old terrorcore cd: "Hardcore Electronic Techno - mixed by DJ Freak" He started out using various types of software looking for the most suiting one and first used Cubase eventually was exploring He is now for 19 years active in the Hardcore/Terror scene. Distorted Senses already released several tracks on: - Speedcore Worldwide - Noiseaphonic - Slime city Records - Mechanical Distortion - Digital Gabba Records - Danger Murder Terror - Splitterstorm Records - ExtremeBassCore Records Actually the "ExtremeBassCore Records Record" -label mentioned is created by himself. The label releases: albums, compilations, EP's & mixes in all Hardcore/Gabber-styles but is trying to push the Hardcore/Gabber-styles that has any form of Psychedelic, Trippy or LSD-styled influences in it... He has accounts at music-sites as: - Youtube - Soundcloud - Mixcloud - Bandcamp His life which is 100% Hardcore by being Schizophrenic since he had the age of a 17 years old and the several times he experienced periods in the state of being completely psychotic, those periods led to the state of being in a psychotic state all of the time, but tempered by the use of medication which makes his psychosis into a form that could be considered more as: soft, bearable and a form of state where u keep the ability of having a clear and normal view towards reality... Also the passion for Hardcore music runs deep in his veins. It gave him the strenght he needed to face his "less fortunate" life. And Hardcore was there every day in his life, this as the only imaginable way of living life. This all makes him being worthy to be classified as: !!!100% Hardcore!!! His message in music: To come as hard, fast, to bring bassdrums to the ears that are wicked as hell and all of this madness brought with a touch of psychedelica added to it... Distorted Senses started by using Cubase 5, then he came to use Cubase 8 Pro, but he is looking and exploring things so he can step over into using the FruityLoops20 software. This by looking at and by comparing the two programs completely and by the easier and faster way of working of FL20 which becomes clear after this comparison. Greetz, DJ Distorted Senses -->2018<--

A few years later DJ Mars became the resident dj of a big club called Hollywood Music Hall. There he met his partner in crime Marlon S. Together with Marlon he formed Bad Boyz, and that’s it where it really begun. As said before DJ Mars is 50% of the popular live act Bad Boyz. DJ Marlon S makes up for the other 50%. Under the Bad Boyz they produce records for the well known Tremble Tracks; a sub label of Seismic Records, one of the biggest hardstyle labels in the world. Their hits include the Shake Thiz and Wicked Sounds EP.’s. Under the supervision of hardstyle masters Beholder and Balistic (label managers of Seismic Records and Tremble Tracks) this duo got a chance to make a jump remake of the 2004 Decibel Outdoor anthem: “Bigger, Better, Louder” by The Beholder and Balistic feat. Max Enforcer which was released on the seismic label. As a result of their releases on Tremble Tracks, their highly successful remix and the rising popularity of jumpstyle, DJ Mars received the honor of mixing a compilation; Under the name Bad Boyz he mixed “Tremble Tracks presents Jumpstyle”. This compilation gives a good impression of his current releases together with the biggest national and international Jump-style hits. Besides the upcoming Bad Boyz releases there will also be a new Marlon S vs DJ Mars EP which will appear on the Tremble Tracks label. Search Add 9 Wendy Grondzil Wendy Grondzil Wendy Grondzil began her musical explorations at age 7; sacred and classical music played a very significant role in Wendy’s family life as she grew up. Wendy studied piano, and violoncello through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada; in addition, she played the pipe organ for many years. Wendy was born in Cape Town, South Africa: her ethnic heritage draws its roots from Wales, Scotland, and Africa. It is no surprise then, that Wendy’s first explorations into the world of digital music were influenced by choral music, Gregorian chant, string ensembles, electric guitar, and voices from around the world. Wendy uses a digital piano, synthesizer, and her computer to create world beats with electronic, acoustic, orchestral and choral touches, all from the comfort of her own living room. Wendy’s persistence in the World Music genre led to her receiving second prize in the World Music category of Unisong’s 2001 International Songwriting Competition.

His commitment to night life culture led him to join 'Ritmo Fulcral', one of the same booking agencies as Kerri Chandler, Satoshi Tomiie or the duo Kyodai, among other artists. His new •LiVE performance is dynamic and energising, melding Deep House, Soulful Techno, a rich groove with Jazz and Funk elements. The response from both fellow artists and the enthusiastic crowds has been nothing short of euphoric, translating into an atmosphere of pure ecstasy. Behind the decks, Larry Quest pays tribute to the roots of House & Techno, while sprinkling in his own contemporary UK-inspired twist. With a mix of Jazz tones and rhythms, his sets are an invitation to let loose and dance like nobody's watching. The music producer made his way into record shops worldwide for the first time in 2019 with his first physical 12’’ record 'Conun Drums', a grooving Hypno House EP released on British producer Jimpster's imprint [Delusions Of Grandeur]. Since then, he's been on a roll releasing tracks and EPs on international labels.

Search Add 9 Nickk Dropkick Nickk Dropkick is a Canadian-American experimental, avant garde, and industrial musician and producer. He gained significance in the early 2010s for pioneering the sea-punk cyber genre variant "slimepunk", and in being an producer of witch house music. In addition to working in cyber genres, Nickk Dropkick has worked with and produced music within the industrial music scene, and is an avid jazz producer. Nickk Dropkick gained his first measure of mainstream success within the Canadian industrial metal band "Death Cartel" (signed with Writ in Water Sound Creations, and based in Kitchener, Ontario). From 2008 to 2012 Dropkick was the bassist and occasional lyricist of the band, and gained exposure within the North American and European industrial music scene, touring and opening for bands on the continent and visiting from Europe. In 2010 Dropkick formed the independent side project "N3rgul", where he began to experiment in electronic music and from the industrial music scene, aid in the development of the growing witch house music genre. On witch house music and according to Dropkick on his Rave Leviathan album- "You know that scene in Blade I, where they're in that vampire club and all of a sudden it goes into slow motion and there's a spray of blood pouring from the ceiling? I wanted to make music like that, just heavy, slow, pulsating, and vicious". In keeping within the transgressive industrial spirit and the avant-garde nature of his works he would later be known by, N3rgul's influences and works spanned a range of genres. With the explosion of cyber genres and internet subcultures in the early 2010s, Dropkick would begin production of his own independent variation within the slime punk genre- focusing on a dirtier, wetter, and more bass sounding genre with ties to earlier acid house. According to Dropkick, the genre is meant to be similar in satirization to vaporwave. Whereas vaporwave focuses on re-imagining capitalism and society through an alternate lens in the 1980s, Slimepunk seeks to reimagine the "trashier" aspects of pop culture from the early 2000s- with a slimer variation on seapunk fashion, nickelodeon decals, and imagery and sounds which ooze. Following his leaving the band Death Cartel in 2012, Dropkick began working on a project with fellow noise and hip-hop artist Ripdae la Wise, called "Plebs & Fuckboys". Released via Spettro Rec, the music featured in Plebs & Fuckboys would blend spoken word, hip hop, industrial, rythmic noise, and techno. All artwork for the projects first six albums were created by Dropkick within his "transgressive style".On the artwork, Dropkick claimed to want to "create imagery which made sacred the profane, and profane the sacrosanct". In 2015 Dropkick would return to metal based music with the industrial-black metal project "Vamacara". In this time period he would also begin experimentation with Jazz music and begin making music under the name Nurgul Jones. A significant work produced by Dropkick in this time was his "Co)))ltrane"- a blend of Sunn O))) and John Coltrane, which would help bring attention to and interest in the dark jazz genre of music within internet subcultures. Of Dropkick's music as Nurgul Jones, the works produced under the moniker remain experimental and often blend the skewed music witch house, memphis rap, industrial metal, neo-folk, dark-jazz within his experimental standard. Under Nurgul Jones, Dropkick has created artwork and propaganda for the Order of the Nine Angels and album art for several noise musicians, including Enbilulugugal. Dropkick has produced music while living in Canada, the United States, and South Korea. As per Plebs & Fuckboys, Dropkick is also a versatile artist specializing in transgressive art.

A self-taught banjo player, Schmertz became an influential writer of folk songs, many focused on early Pittsburgh lore. His song "Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord" was recorded by [a=Burl Ives], [a=Tennessee Ernie Ford], the [a=Statler Brothers], [a=Bruce Low], and [a=Gary Crosby]. His song "Monongahela Sal" was covered by [a=Pete Seeger]. As a student, Schmertz also wrote the Carnegie Tartans' fight song, "Fight for the Glory of Carnegie." Schmertz himself only began recording in 1949 when family and friends bought him time in a local recording studio. Only 300 copies of the resulting 78rpm album, "Songs by Robert Schmertz," were produced, but they helped to spread his reputation as the "Stephen Foster of Pittsburgh." In 1955, Schmertz released a second album, "Robert Schmertz Sings His Songs," this time on LP. Two other albums followed, "Sing Oh! the City Oh!: Songs of Early Pittsburgh" ([l=Folkways Records], 1959) and "Ladies Beware of an Architect: Songs for Architects and Their Girlfriends" (1960).

Search Add 9 The Bus Driver Tour Livingston, MT / Knoxville, TN The Bus Driver Tour began in the spring of 2011 comprised of three songwriters- Ian Thomas, Paul Lee Kupfer, and Danny Freund. The three met a few years before while on tour in Montana. They traveled well together and gained mutual respect for each other as songwriters. As the number of tours grew, so did the act. While on the road, they established themselves as each other's backing band, switching between guitars, drums and bass. The result has been an authentic blend of energy and momentum that is The Bus Driver Tour. Currently, the band calls Livingston, MT and Knoxville, TN home as they have deep admiration and musical roots in both States.

Search Add 9 Bits'N Pieces Into the 1970’s Richard and Arthur Brooks formed a new group that included their cousin John Haserarig, two sisters Veronica and Joann Skillern and their cousin Shirley Dial. This new ensemble was called ‘Brother Sisters and Cousins. In 1973 Richard the groups lead singer took a demo tape of their material to the Nashboro studios in Nashville. A deal was signed and the Brother Sisters and Cousins initial release ‘Sinner (Have You Been There)/Smoke Stream appeared on Nashboro’s, subsidiary label Nasco (029) with ‘Sinner (Have You Been There)’ becoming a local hit in and around the Nashville area. A reputed dispute with a group of a similar name led to the Brothers, Sisters and Cousins then changing their name to ‘Bits And Pieces’. As Bits And Pieces they recorded a follow up release ‘Did I Scare You/Smoke Stream’ (Nasco 031) in late 1973. In 1974 Nasco again released the popular ‘Sinner (Have You Been There)’ this time featuring ‘Keep On Running Away’ (Nasco 033) as the flipside. Richard was responsible for writing all of the groups Nasco sides, all of which were heavily imported into the UK, as new releases to find great appreciation with both the Northern and Modern Soul scene’s of the early 70’s and beyond with ‘Keep On Running Away’ being a current popular reactivation today. Following the eventual demise of the Nashboro group in the mid 70’s, Bits and Pieces all went their separate ways.
