Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Waked Lunch | Waked Lunch is the side-project of Rosemary Haskins. Born from the ventromedial prefrontal cortex of the brain, Waked Lunch is an experimental project that utilizes atmospheric sounds, samplers, strings, and other more common instruments such as drums, guitar, and synths. Inspired by William Burroughs and Angelo Badalamenti, the music is dark and melancholy, though somewhat frenzied, and often edited using Burroughs' writing technique "the Cut-Up Method." Waked Lunch was birthed, after Rosemary worked on experimental jazz saxophonist Steve Mackay's, (of Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Violent Femmes, Radon Ensemble, etc. notoriety), latest album, "Sometimes Like This I Talk" Engineering these sessions, along with sessions with "the Queen of Noise," Leslie Keffer, introduced Rosemary to a completely different world... a world outside of the more mainstream, but ever still "indie," rock, pop , and Americana music Rosemary had been not only writing and recording herself, but also producing and engineering for other bands of the same or similar genres. Waked Lunch is the next outlet, a huge outlet, that allows Rosemary to step way outside of the boxes she had previously housed her musical talents in. Though Rosemary is the primary composer for Waked Lunch, she also enlists the help of her best friend, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Esref Guntel. Josh, like Rosemary, is from Nashville, TN. He has been playing and writing music since he was a kid, and is proudly of Turkish descent. Josh plays numerous instruments, including the piano, organ, synthesizer, guitar, bass, cumbus, drums, percussion and more. Josh has the rare ability to pick up virtually any instrument, and begin playing it, without prior lessons or knowledge of the instrument, making him an invaluable asset for the Waked Lunch project. Rosemary and Josh have been in several different bands together in the past, covering more traditional genres like rock, pop, electro, and americana. You can find a lot of info on the different bands they have played in at the official websites for WaterWorks Entertainment and Black Label Empire. https://www.waterworksentertainment.com https://www.blacklabelempire.com A live Waked Lunch show, is a bit unique, in that they almost always play to film. They regularly use film projectors to display various video art, and sometimes clips from movies they have scored to. All of the sound is engineered by Rosemary via her own mixing board, and then a stereo out is run to the front of house. This allows Rosemary to have complete control over the sounds Waked Lunch uses, and is an integral part of the live shows. Though sometimes a solo performance, with Rosemary, exclusively, Waked Lunch often have local musicians join into their live shows. This allows for a more "experimental" show, as it is all completely unrehearsed and spontaneous... it's what makes every Waked Lunch show different from the last. If you are looking for something just a bit different, with influences of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai, and Nine Inch Nails, with a hint of soundtrack, new-age, space-age music, Waked Lunch is just the dish you've always wanted to order! Search | Add | 7 | Joshua Skye | Joshua Skye is an openly gay singer and songwriter from Graz, the second largest city in Austria. He soon discovered his love for pop music and began singing and writing songs at a very young age. He still writes all his lyrics to this day and composes his melodies with guitar and keyboard. With his lyrics he captures his thoughts and questions and addresses topics such as relationships, friendships, his childhood, religion and sexuality. Joshua works with various producers in Vienna who help him elaborate his vision and sound, which is a combination of synth-, dance-, indie- and dream-pop. Joshua's debut single "Ritual" is a catchy pop hymn with a strong beat and memorable hook, while his follow-up single "Atlantis" mostly falls into the genre of dream-pop. The third single "Without You" is a contemporary pop song, that talks about the end of a relationship. "The Detachment of a Human" was written and recorded in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a collection of songs, that reflect on the mending after a breakup. The latest release is "Young Blood", a pop ballad that talks about the joy and euphoria of falling in love with someone. It has a strong, catchy vocal melody and is accompanied by booming drums and echoed effects, continuing the dream-pop production of previous songs.

Search | Add | 7 | Marc Osmate | Marc Osmate | Marc Osmate is a Dutch Hardcore techno producer and performer, living in Russia. Marc Osmate is the founder of Platinoids. His style is typified by a fast tempo (120bpm-180bpm), and the rhythmic use of distorted, industrial-like beats. The music is aleatoric, and not atonal, instead of industrial hardcore. Marc Osmate writes all the plug-ins he uses by himself, and writes the music for his own enjoyment and the pleasure of innovation. In 1999, his musical career was started when he started a small company which sold plug-ins for Music software, and soundscapes for movies and video-games. While testing this plug-ins in combination with the sounds he made, Osmate found out that making music with home-made software was relaxing and inspiring. Inspired by combining electronics and sound, he started to build synthesizers and sequencers. After years of engineering and exploring techniques, suddenly there was music. In 2008 he decided to start a label to bring his music to the world, and that’s when Platinoids was born. |

Search | Add | 7 | Godfrey Kerr | US songwriter, producer, label owner ([l=Gee Kay Records], [l=Kay Gee Records], [l=Cal Omen]), as well as the owner of reissue labels [l=Blast Back Records] and [l=Flashback Records (10)]. Godfrey Kerr (born September 10, 1942 in Dublin ) an Irish-American radio presenter who made outstanding contributions to the Chicano rock from Los Angeles in the 1960s . Godfrey Kerr enjoyed traditional American pop as sung by Theresa Brewer and Guy Mitchell while growing up in Ireland . After emigrating to Culver City , California with his family in 1954 , he expanded his musical taste to include rhythm and blues . As a temporary worker in a record shop, he also began to be interested in jazz . After high school, Kerr started working full-time in the music business: he managed several smaller record labels, opened a mail order business for oldie records and organised dance and show events as a promoter and MC . For this he regularly booked leading bands of Chicano Rock between 1964 and 1968, including Thee Midniters who had a home game in the event halls of Barrio , East Side of Los Angeles. In addition, there were also interpreters of R&B such as Johnny Guitar Watson or Brenda Holloway . But Kerr was best known as a radio host and DJ under his first name Godfrey. Since 1964 he has often represented Dick “Huggyboy” Hugg on the broadcasters KRLA and KALI, the most important DJ for Chicano Rock alongside Art Laboe , thus inheriting the particularly loyal audience of the Mexican population of the metropolis. Godfrey soon moved to KTYM, where he hosted a weekday show playing Chicano rock and R&B ballads. In the mid-1960s, the simple sound of garage rock and surf rock were popular in California . Godfrey therefore tried his hand at being a musician knowing his limited singing talent. With Thee Midniters, he released a single on Whittier Records entitled Down Whittier Blvd. sang a central cruising stretch of the Barrios and which is a successor to the song Whittier Blvd. from the Midniters. His second single, The Trip, was a cover piece by Kim Fowley , which is an unequivocal tribute to the use of LSDand was therefore rewritten to a summer hit after public protest by the defused version Let's Take a Trip . Both versions were released on John Marascalco's small label Cee-Jam Records . Marascalco also granted Godfrey co-author credits for his own pieces like Something Like Mr. C by the Young Lions or named him as supervisor on Frankie Olvera's version of Huggie's Bunnies in the hope that Godfrey would thereby promote the tracks more on the radio. Godfrey also brought out four compilation LPs on which he put together obscure performers and their songs and presented them in the Godfrey Presents ... series. Godfrey stayed with KTYM until 1968, when the solid core of the Chicano movement at that time began to disintegrate, thus dwindling his audience and the number of visitors to his dance events. After a brief return to radio in the 1970s, Kerr started working in record distribution.

Search | Add | 7 | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra, or EJYO in short (1998 to 2004, and 2006 to 2007), was an annual jazz big band project initiated by [a8206619] and [a702232], organised by the Danish-based organization [l1932768] and continued as [a4920628] (EJO) (2005 + 2008 to 2013) - all supported by the EU-Commission. In 2005 the European Broadcasting Union, EBU (the world wide network of jazz producers from the National Public Radio stations) joined the project and the EBU Big Band (see [a10348339]) and Swinging Europe/EJYO were merged, forming what became known as the EBU-European Jazz Orchestra. The forerunner of EJYO was the 1996 project [a1339635]. [b]The project[/b] Each year a new conductor and new composers were chosen and a band was formed by selected young jazz artists from the European countries. Rehearsels took place in Brande, Denmark (1998-2009) and Herning, Denmark (2010-2013) followed by a three weeks concert tour. More concerts were broadcasted and by the end of the tour one or more concerts were recorded and issued on CD (minus 1999 and 2002). Since 1998 and 2013, around 300 European musicians participated in the annual orchestra and over 200 concerts were organised in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America and in Asia.
