Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Cure-A-Phobia | contakt: info@cure-a-phobia.com … Everyone is afraid of something. Some are afraid of big spiders, some wide spaces, and others elevators. Cure-a-Phobia decided one day to stop worrying and to curiously explore the uncomfortable: a pair of too tight shoes, a note askew, or maybe an odd meter that makes you lose your balance. They were delighted to find that what is awry and wintering also can be beautiful. They simply couldn’t help but to throw themselves into it… Cure-a-Phobia consists of musicians with different musical backgrounds ranging from jazz to folk to musicals and classical music, but with a mutual love of experimentation and improvisation. Together they produce a unique sound with a touch of jazz, pop and what one may call cabaret, with their very own signature. The music, composed by Jenny Nilsson and arranged by Cure-a-Phobia, follows no written rules or patterns. It is seldom fixed to a specific key or time signature but is still rhythmic and somehow logical. The lyrics are touching, funny, or questioning and invite personal interpretations.

Lady in October 1973) and another album (Home Cookin' in March 1974). The siblings would continue to work together as [a=Kell (4)].

Search | Add | 7 | Nitewreckage | CELINE HISPICHE (vocals) mixes bawdy music hall and ballsy punk rock in one explosive package. Born in Paris and raised on her parents’ record collections – an unlikely blend of punk rock and music hall - she began her career as a featured writer at London’s Royal Court Theatre, creating a unique act that combined music, history and comic monologues. She has also performed on Broadway and toured with cast members of Saturday Night Live. One of her oddest and most enjoyable assignments was to perform for the artist Louise Bourgeois at her New York salon. Back home in London, she has opened for Harry Hill and Marc Almond, performed at the Royal Festival Hall, and won rave reviews for her 2007 cabaret show at the Edinburgh Festival. DAVE BALL (programming) needs little introduction. He formed Soft Cell with Marc Almond in 1979, while they were studying art together at college in Leeds. Together they wrote and performed countless Eighties hits, starting with 1981 UK chart-topper Tainted Love. In the Nineties he notched up another run of hits as half of a second duo, The Grid, with Richard Norris. Dave has also produced and collaborated with artistes as diverse as Kylie Minogue, The Virgin Prunes, Earl Brutus and Billie Ray Martin, and remixed many more, including David Bowie, The Happy Mondays, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Boy George and The Pet Shop Boys. In addition, he has performed live with artistes such as Cabaret Voltaire, Psychic TV and krautrock pioneers Faust. RICK MULHALL (programming) started in the music industry in 1979 – the same year as Dave Ball – in the band English Evenings, before turning solo under the wing of Pete Waterman and his PWL team. In 1987 he formed Kick Production with Terry Neale, writing and producing for an array of artistes, ranging from Rolf Harris to Jeff Beck. He performed with the band Ultrasonic before forming his own label Dufflecoat Records. Rick began collaborating with Dave Ball on remixes two years ago under the Nitewreckers banner. He is currently working on a variety of music projects for the BBC and writing and producing for the Skull Bandits, as well as running the Richmond recording studios of Kick Production, where Celine & Nite Wreckage record. TERRY NEALE (drums) studied clarinet at the Welsh College of Music and Drama and performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, before studying composition and arranging at Leeds College of Music. Drums and percussion then became his main instrument as he began writing, recording and working as a session musician. After forming Kick Production with Rick Mulhall, Terry began a 20-year career composing music for film and television at their Soho studios. He has played live with Transglobal Underground and Temple of Sound, and currently combines writing for Lovelabltd.com, touring with the band Loungeclash and playing with Celine And Nite Wreckage.

After working as a guitarist in mixed rock and hardcore bands, he started his career as an MC around 2019 in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, and formed a general art collective & label "029TRIBE". He has performed live, organized events, released his own solo EP, and produced other artists in the Kanto area and Okayama prefecture. Currently, while focusing on hip-hop, he is not bound by any specific genre, and engages in a wide variety of activities as a DJ and producer in addition to being an MC. His previous works were mostly focused on beats and unique lyrics heavily influenced by Japanese rap of the 90s, However, with his third EP, he boldly shifted gears to a more pop-oriented musical style, and his direct expressions of love and affection made for an excellent album that grabbed the hearts of listeners. He also shows a worldwide aspect, including a feature track for Mokum Records, a long-established dutch Hardcore Techno and Gabber label. |

Search | Add | 7 | Joe Isgro | Joseph Isgro | Joseph Isgro (born 1948) is an American Academy Award-nominated producer known for Producing the Academy Award Nominated film "Hoffa". He is a recipient of a Purple Heart Medal, and a Vietnam War veteran. Isgro, whose powerful independent promotion team controlled the radio airwaves for much of the 1970s, 80s and 90s, is integrally responsible for launching and promoting the careers of some of the biggest names in music history including Michael Jackson, Elton John, Billy Joel, Madonna and countless musicians. Isgro has infamously been tied to organized crime and was indicted for alleged payola in the biggest scandal in music history. Isgro is allegedly a member of the Gambino crime family of New York City and an associate of the Los Angeles crime family primarily involved in shylocking. He was featured in the book Hit Men by Fredric Dannen and was reportedly a part of late Gambino capo Joseph Armone's crew under boss John Gotti, whom he knew and met on at least one occasion. Early Life Isgro was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the US Marine Corps. At the age of 19, he was presented with a Purple Heart for his bravery and wounds received during combat in the Vietnam War. His term with the Marines ended in 1968. Career In L.A. Isgro's career began as local promotion director for Decca Records (which later became MCA Records). His responsibilities included record promotion of various artists for the Pennsylvania and New Jersey territories. In 1970, Isgro went to work for Paramount Records as the regional promoter, working with such artists as Billy Joel, Dave Mason and The Crusaders. Isgro then went to work for Schwartz Bros., the largest independent record distributor whose clients included Motown, A&M Records, RCA Records, Chrysalis Records and Arista Records. In 1974, Roulette Records hired Isgro as the National Director of Promotion. Isgro led the promotional staff and oversaw the company's publicity and advertising department. Motown Records hired Isgro in 1976 as Regional Director of Promotion. He was responsible for the promotion and development of Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, Lionel Richie, The Jacksons, The Commodores, Thelma Houston and Teena Marie. Joe was then promoted to National Director of Promotion, which brought him to California, and then to Executive Vice President of Promotion. After several years with Motown, Isgro left and became involved in the formation of EMI Records, a division of Capitol Records. Isgro was brought onto EMI to handle the promotion staff of the new label on the West Coast. In 1979, he formed Isgro Enterprises, Inc., an independent record promotion and consulting company. Isgro promoted releases for several major labels including records by artists including Michael Jackson, Culture Club, Neil Diamond and many others. Isgro then developed Los Angeles Recording Company (LARC), distributed through MCA Records. Soon after the formation of LARC Records, Isgro established a second label, Private I Records, distributed through Columbia Records. The first release of Private I Records was Matthew Wilder’s "Break My Stride", which peaked at number one on the US chart position. It would be the first of Private I's 27 number-one singles. In 1992, Isgro produced the film Hoffa, starring Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito and Armand Assante. It was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Currently, Isgro is a producer at Raging Bull Productions. His projects include the films Lucky Luciano, Pablo Escobar and The Stone Pony. Isgro secured the rights for the Luciano story in 2007 and the film is currently in pre-production. Arrests In September 1990, Isgro and two other defendants were prosecuted for 57 counts of payola-related offenses, including racketeering, mail fraud, money laundering and obstruction of justice. The case was dismissed by a federal on grounds of "outrageous government misconduct". On March 25, 2000, FBI agents and the Beverly Hills Police Department arrested Isgro and charged him with a federal felony complaint of extortion. According to an FBI affidavit, Isgro and a crew of collectors and enforcers extorted hundreds of thousands of dollars from scores of victims, charging interest rates of up to 5% a week. The loan sharking operation had been going on since 1994, the FBI said. According to criminal complaints filed in the case, a Rancho Palos Verdes, California, man, Bernard Beyda, complained to Beverly Hills police that he was threatened after he had difficulty making "loan" payments, which included 5% in weekly interest, to one of Isgros enforcers. In addition to this, Isgro has been repeatedly identified in organized crime charts as a member of the Gambino crime family with his base of operations in Los Angeles. In July 2014, a new indictment was brought against Isgro for running a mob-linked gambling operation. He allegedly conspired with Joseph Giordano, a Gambino capo and bookmaker, to set up an operation that used offshore wire rooms in Costa Rica, under the names Elite and Cristal, and took bets from people in the United States. |

Search | Add | 7 | Galaxy Unit | Zdravko Minev (In Cyril. Здравко Минев) | Galaxy Unit is a Goa Trance side project by Zdravko Minev - a member of the legendary thrash legend Crash, conquering the top of the Bulgarian extreme scene in the early 90s. Zdravko discovers a new vocation - the computers and it fundamentally alters his musical destiny. He is completely devoted to digital activities and although this is still a very exotic way to make music back in the days in Bulgaria, he encounters total empathy. Alongside with his most successful industrial project that follows - Alien Industry, where he plays one of the guitars and adds unique electronic flavors, he is also the beginning of another emblematic for the Bulgarian club and underground scene names – R.O.B.T.F. Although, the band becoming popular later with the unique Drum ‘n’ Bass progression session style in a couple of albums and many live performances, R.O.B.T.F. actually started in the mid-1990s in Zdravko’s living room. He was recording & mixing mad-ramping acid and goa influenced patterns, layered over an earth-pumping old-school analog beat. This “electronic amok” and the album release occasionally by a friend will become later the characteristic for the 1990s Bulgarian tech trance style that will influence other Bulgarian artists to come like Тибетски Сърца (Tibetan Hearts, etc.) and will overheat dancefloors for years. In late 2010s Zdravko’s curiosity and eagerness to experiment further with Goa Trance returned to the source and he started producing again under the name of Galaxy Unit when spotted and hunted out by the Bulgarian thematic label Goa Galaxy. Better is yet to come as the artist is still active in 2017. |

Search | Add | 7 | Leuchtend | Aiden Harlow | Born September 10th Greer native Aiden Harlow started his musical career under the name of Echelon Anthracite and contributed to numerous projects under the Tremolo Skies label, such as Nomad and Hqrlct. He is both a musician, graphic and 3D artist with numerous works under his belt, mostly pertaining to what he's currently working on. Harlow has put out five albums under various names as well as seven EP's over the course of his career since 2017. Leuchtend started after the disbandment of Echelon Anthracite, feeling that it was time to move on and push out what Harlow felt was a "completed work" he considered most of Echelon to be no more than unfinished songs and demos compiled into albums and used it as a framework for his first album Golden Hours. The LP featured numerous songs and ideas spanning the course of his career as both a solo artist and a bandmate in Nomad. Later on that year he would release his first physical pressing and maxi-single titled Socotra, which was a very different style from his previous endeavor and would precede his second release, slated for the next year. |
Search | Add | 7 | The View Electrical | The View Electrical emerged from the meeting of two music lovers: Frédéric Aellen (Rosalyn, Sonograph) and Raul Bortolotti (Abraham, Kruger, No Sun In San Francisco, Orso). They started working together in Fall 2012, besides misc activities, carefully crafting some demos which quickly became the core of their first album : «Roseland». Since the very first note, they focused on trying something different than the standard rock album, mixing every influence that has shaped them along the way. Thus The View Electrical is the perfect crossover of various genres like folk, hip hop, ambient, metal, new wave, original soundtracks and nineties indie rock.

Search | Add | 7 | 胡美芳 | 本名胡朝子 | Japanese-Chinese singer, (b. November 20, 1926, d. November 7, 2009), known in Chinese as Hu Meifang, in Japanese as Ko Biho. Born to Chinese parents in Hainan City, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan; her father, a barber, served as president of the Overseas Chinese Association. To escape suspicion that her father was a Chinese spy, the family moved back to Shanghai in 1941. In 1943, Hu Meifang entered a Japanese-run art school in Beijing, "Beijing Art" [北京藝文], to study vocal performance. On the side, she sang in night clubs and made a few recordings without scoring an actual hit. After the war, the Chinese government prosecuted her as an alleged Japanese spy, but she was acquitted. She did return to Japan, though, and acquired Japanese citizenship. In 1952, she experienced her big musical breakthrough. She became the only Chinese super-star in Japan, making numerous records and starring in several movies. In 1974, she converted to Christianity and began singing gospel music in churches and elsewhere in Japan. She died in 2009 in Sumida, Tokyo. |
