Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Big Bad Baz | Barry Christie | BigBadBaz (born Barry Christie on 3rd September 1983) is an English born dance music producer. Barry was born in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear but spent most of his life living in Northamptonshire. Inspired by the work of sampling artists such as Fatboy Slim and The Prodigy, Barry started to make sample based dance music in the late 90s. Continuing to produce music under the pseudonym BigBadBaz (a name suggested by friends as a moniker) he released his first productions on vinyl in September 2002. Barry's continued use of samples became less derivative in 2002 and 2003 with more and more internet only releases using larger samples from tracks akin with the Mash up scene that was growing at the time. This similarity brought Barry's music some publicity and found his music being championed by Radio stations across the world, cashing in the fad of mixing one or more popular songs together. Continuing on with the same style of music that brought about Call On Me, BigBadBaz released a white label album Generic Prydz. The name was a light-hearted poke at the amount of copycat songs that were filling the dance floor in 2005. Calling America and So Many Nights on that album began getting some radio play so in 2006 these were picked up by Prank Monkey Records and given a vinyl only release. "So Many Nights" (even though technically a B-Side) began getting some airplay and was picked up by Radio 1 DJ's . |

During basic training in the 152nd Depot Brigade, one of his fellow buglers was Irving Berlin, and Metterle liked to tell the story that Berlin's famous song "Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning" (1918) was inspired by their group practicing the call to reveille. Led German bands in New York City between the 1910s and 1940s. | Search | Add | 7 | Γιώργος Σισιλιάνος | Greek contemporary composer. Aka George or Yorgo Sicilianos. Athens, 29 Αυγούστου 1920 - 29 Μαρτίου 2005. Yorgo Sicilianos (1920-2005) is one of the most important figures of musical modernism in Greece. Born in Athens, he studied theory and composition with Kostas Sfakianakis, Marios Varvoglis and George Sklavos; from 1951 to 1953 he continued his studies at the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with Ildebrando Pizzetti, receiving a diploma in composition in 1953. While in Italy he was introduced to the music of Béla Bartók and the composers of the Second Viennese School, which proved influential on his later development, since it played a decisive role in his decision to turn to contemporary musical idioms. After Italy he attended Tony Aubin’s course in composition at the Conservatoire National in Paris (1953–54) and the classes of Walter Piston at Harvard University, Boris Blacher at the Tanglewood Institute and Vincent Perischetti at the Juilliard School of New York (1955–56). In New York, Sicilianos made the acquaintace of fellow Greek, conductor Dimitri Mitropoulos. Later (in March 1958), Mitropoulos premiered Sicilianos’ First Symphony, op. 14 (1956) with the New York Philharmonic. In 1956 Sicilianos returned to Greece permanently. At that time, he was one of the first Greek composers to follow modernist trends in music. He went on to produce a total output that consists of 63 works and encompasses all genres: symphonic music, chamber music, piano music, song cycles, opera, ballet, incidental music and more. Parallel to his work as a composer, Sicilianos was an active participant in Greek music life. He served as Head of the Music Department of the Greek Broadcasting Institute (1960–62), General Secretary of the Ministry of Education’s Greek Music Council (1963–64), Vice–president of the Greek section of the International Society for Contemporary Music and the Greek Association of Contemporary Music (1964–68 and 1965–69 respectively), Head of the Music Department of Greek Broadcast and Television (1974), member of the Artistic Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Greek National Opera (1976–79 and 1980–81 respectively), President of the Greek Composers’ Union (1981–89), member of the Board of Directors of Greek Radio and Television (1987–88) and President of the Artistic Committee of the Greek National Opera (1990–94). Throughout his career Sicilianos received significant distinctions. In 1962 he won the third prize at the Liège International String Quartet Competition for his String Quartet no. 3, op. 15 and his works were chosen twice to represent Greece at the Festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music (Stasimon B, op. 25, Madrid, 1965 and Perspectives, op. 26, Prague, 1967). He was also honoured for his contribution to music with the following medals and prizes: Cavaliere “al merito della Republica Italiana” (Rome, 1962), Chevalier des Arts (Paris, 1990), Herder Prize (Vienna, 1991) and the Eirini G. Papaioannou Prize of the Academy of Athens (1994). Finally, in 1999 he received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Athens. Sicilianos’ work can be divided into three periods. The first period, during which he followed tonal and modal idioms, includes works he wrote until 1953, the year in which he finished his studies in Italy, when he still believed that the future of Greek music lay “at the point where Byzantine Chant intersects with Greek Folk Song”. The second period started with the Concerto for Orchestra, op. 12 (1954), where Sicilianos used for the first time the twelve-tone technique. This period, characterised by his seeking of and experimentation in contemporary musical trends (the twelve-tone technique, serialism, post-serialist techniques, electronic music), lasted about 25 years. Mellichomidi, op. 44 (1980) signalled the passage into a third period, during which the composer turned consciously to a more melodic and accessible idiom. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | DE3IVAT | DE3IVAT is one more brainchild of multmedia artists Mirco Dalos & Christoffer Grunau. After putting T3AFO to rest with a huge mass of audio samples, fragments, visuals and ideas flying around, there was hardly a thought of finishing. It's merely in the art of stopping and starting again that gave birth to DE3IVAT. Joy, fun and the idea of »let's see what happens« had to be the defined watchwords for bringing something to the table again. As multi-media location-based art involves many many people, budgets, negotiations and, yes, also frustrations at time, DE3IVAT is home-made, ever-fresh, like a child-play. So we assess all available data from the T3AFO archive, take our field recorders & cameras for walks and rides again, liberate us from constraining thoughts and produce material that is as light as it is satisfying. Take a noise here, perform a beat there, find a voice that might not be listened to and mould it into NOI_ES POP. DE3IVAT's first major operation is a six-EP-series, starting August 31st, 2018. The objective is to release a product all three months ending Xmas 2019 with an extra special product that still needs to define itself. So now it's up to you to enjoy: Play our music loud or not at all. To hell with any bullshit! | |

| Search | Add | 7 | מיסטר הרי | יוסי הרי | The beginning of Yossi Hari's career was in 1979 when "Triton" studios and the producer Solo Yurman held a project to discover young talents called "Solo Rishon". With the help of the best musicians and arrangers, a first chance was given to new singers and creators, who would not have had a chance to get to the recording studio in any other way. Most of these "young talents" remained unknown (their nickname among the professionals was "fish", that is, those who catch them, "make" some money on them, and nothing comes out of them), but there were a few whose "first solo" was a first step in their career, even if very late (among them, many years later, Pablo Rosenberg, then a writer and singer in the band Miktzav 33, broke through). Mister Harry was exceptional. He wrote and composed songs for himself and others in the "Solo Rishon" project (among them "The stars never shone for me" for Gil Ran) and was the only one of the "Solo Rishon" artists to complete the recording of an entire album in real-time. Everything happened thanks to the hit that came out on the radio in January 1980, "Don't forget us". Mr. Hari wrote, composed, and sang, Ilan Wirtzberg arranged and produced the music. The success of the song brought after it a series of other attempts in the charts, which did not have similar success: "The whole city is laughing at Me", "I Had to tell you" and "Sara Sara Blues". Although success was not guaranteed, the producer Solo Yurman decided to produce for Mister Hari an entire album with songs that Hari wrote and composed, including "I saw your eyes", "We followed the Sun" and "It Lasted for almost years". Ilan Wirtzberg arranged and produced musically (except for the song "Knock on the Door" which was arranged by David Kribushi) and the best musicians participated in the recordings. Among them are Haim Kario, Haim Romano, and Gil Dor on guitars, Miki Shabib and Moti Dichna on bass, Alona Toral and Avner Kaner on keyboards, Shlomo Hammi, Meir Israel and Alon Hillel on drums. At the end of 1981, the album "Don't Forget Us !!!" was released (the exclamation marks in the original) in a small record company ("Simphonia") that dealt only a little with Israeli music. Perhaps that is also why the sales promotion of the album was limited and its sales were limited. Mister Hari recorded several more songs, among which reached the charts until the beginning of 1984, songs such as "Olala", "Maybe Now Maybe You Decide", "When you are big", "What's Wrong with you baby" and "I had a lady", but these songs also did not win Attentively. At the end of the decade, he made another attempt, this time under his real name (with the mention of "Mister" in parentheses). He recorded "There's Always a Chance" arranged and produced by Molly Shay and "Ten Years (She Calling me Mizrahi)" arranged and produced by Gerry Eckstein. Even this round did not bring the hoped-for comeback and he disappeared from the media for a long time. In the '90s, with the revival of nostalgia for the '80s, "Don't forget us" also returned and appeared in various compilation albums. At the beginning of 2001, a new record by Mister Hari arrived on the radio: "A Soldier's Farewell Song". He wrote, composed, produced, and arranged with Ofer Yair. The inscription on the radio record promised: "From a new disc that will be released soon". |

-------------------------------------------------------- Nasr is the son of Hassan Mégri - lyricist and composer of the legendary Mégri quartet -. He was born surrounded by instruments and considered them as his toys, lived to the frantic pace of the success experienced by his father, his uncles and his aunt. He grows up with a guitar in his hand, and refines the flexibility of his fingers as he laps into the living room piano. Later, he will study music theory, and will master the knowledge taught by the Music Conservatory of Rabat. From his toys, he will make them his working tools. Like a fate drawn, Nasr will follow in his father's footsteps. Cradled by the movement created by the Megri Brothers in Morocco, and surrounded by the microcosm of the few musicians of that time, this is naturally what predisposes him to become what he always wanted to be : a lyricist and composer. In 2012, he will share his first stage at Mawazine Festival, that brought together the big names of Music in Morocco. It was also the last concert given by his father. A sort of handover, symbolic of an another wave of the Megri movement that Nasr has continued to instill ever since. An undeniably emotional moment since Nasr has continued to perpetuate the traditional back and forth that his parents knew, going from concerts to concerts and locking himself in the recording studios as soon as the opportunity arises. Nasr produces 4 albums and a single on the legendary Ouhmane label, and records his name - and first name - in a catalog which includes practically all the big names in Moroccan Music - all genres and styles combined - - "Fyoum Lefrah" (2011) - "Winek" (2014) - "Baghi Nfhem" (2015) - "Sa3a Dour" (2016) - "Machaal" (2019) This latest wave of the Megri movement is meticulously respected by Nasr. In 2017, like the Megri Brothers, he will begin a Maghrebin tour. In 2018, like the Megri Brothers, he will continue with a European tour. Just a few months before the death of his father, the late Hassan. He went to India to promote Moroccan Music where he gave a concert, and coincidence or not, they were both 27 years old for their respective trips. The numerous distinctions and prizes received from all over the world by Nasr, make him an ambassador of Moroccan Music. But Nasr does not let the light dazzle him, and never ceases to follow in the footsteps of his father Hassan Megri. Surprising, and different. |

The Chicago-based group was together for several decades, most notably starring on the WLS National Barn Dance program, as well as local and nationally syndicated programs on the ABC network. Stokes was born in Springfield, Missouri but like many entertainers in the radio era he moved around a lot, living in Monticello, Indiana and Helena, Montana among other places, before retiring down in Florida. It was up in Montana in the early 'Sixties while working as a radio deejay that Tiny Stokes met a factory worker and aspiring country singer named Charley Pride, whose career he championed, introducing the future chart-topper to Red Foley, who helped then Pride break into the Nashville scene. Though not known as a solo artist, Stokes recorded prolifically with the Buccaneers, both on Decca singles and countless airshots; he was also known for the hillbilly hit, "Blackfoot Boogie," a Montana-themed novelty number he recorded in 1956 with a group called the Frontiersmen. (The song name-checks every country bar in the state, one by one, city by city, and is about as specific a shout-out song as you'll ever hear...) |
