Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | The Infamous Arab | Chicago born Kid Heartbreak began his professional mixing career back in 1996 while still a teenager with his first mix tape titled "Chapter One". This was a freestyle medley as Kid had become very interested in freestyle music during his high school years, even though rap music was his first love. The success of his first couple mix tapes on the streets of Chicago inspired a situation where Kid was coming out with a new mix tape every month (freestyle or rap). By 1998, Kid Heartbreak had established himself as one of Chicago's most elite mix tape djs. After several years of networking and establishing connects with other artists, producers, and underground record labels, Kid was able to release a fully licensed album in 2003 featuring many tracks exclusive to that CD. There was also a 12" release from the CD, featuring full dj versions along with acapellas of 3 of the hottest tracks on the album. Kid is also the executive producer behind the Ill Clicks Militia, a rap group that he discovered during the mix tape years. Between the years of 1997 to 2004, Kid released over 30 different mix tape titles combining to sell over 70,000 units. The Chicago mix tape scene is now far subdued compared to what it once was, but Kid Heartbreak continues to do his thing. Kid has a master's degree in accounting as well as a CPA. Music and accounting together make up Kid Heartbreak's life. Kid Heartbreak had always wanted to spit his own freestyle song and earlier this year, completed this track "Thoughts of Her". This song is written and produced by Kid Heartbreak himself. He Passed Away In 2017 R.I.P. A Chicago Legend Forever

Search | Add | 7 | Grover Sales Jr. | Teacher and writer, credited for liner notes and photography. Born: 1920 in Louisville, KY Died: February 14, 2004 in Tiburon, CA During a career that spanned 50 years Sales wrote about jazz, film and cultural politics and published widely in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the Tiburon Ark and Gene Lees' Jazzletter. He wrote three books: Jazz: America's Classical Music, a biography of John Maher and, with his wife Georgia, The Clay-Pot Cookbook, which sold more than 800,000 copies. Sales was also publicist for the Monterey Jazz Festival from its birth in 1958 until 1965, and for the hungry i nightclub. He also did freelance publicity work for artists such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland and Dick Gregory, and wrote liner notes for several Fantasy recordings. Over the years, he taught jazz history courses at Stanford University, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, San Francisco State University and the JazzSchool. Sales became a jazz fan at 16, after hearing a broadcast of Benny Goodman's band with drummer Gene Krupa, and later became what he called "an inveterate Ellington groupie" after hearing a recording of "Black And Tan Fantasy". After serving in the Army Air Corps in Southeast Asia during World War II, Sales studied at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and then settled in the Bay Area, where he received a BA in history from the University of California at Berkeley.

She was the daughter of a Customs chief, but both her father and mother died before she was 8 years old, so she was educated in a school for orphans. At the age of 16, she married a pilot, but soon after she died of a plane accident, leaving her alone, without a home, and with a two-month-old son in her care. In this situation, some friends of her husband, the Sanz, very important jewelers who also owned a popular nightclub of the time, the Casablanca, knowing of her good vocal conditions, suggested that she sing in the nightclub of them. In her recordings she is accompanied, among others, by the Orquesta Plantación, Alberto Semprini and his Orquesta Ritmo-Sinfónica , or Tejada and his Gran Orquesta. In the following years, Mary Merche dedicated herself to musicals, famous magazines, she appeared in the cinema from time to time, she did quality theater, in 1968 she premiered "Six Characters in Search of an Author", by Luigi Pirandello, at the Bellas Artes de Madrid, directed by José Tamayo, and even joined the trend of the so-called "Café-Teatro" during the seventies, completing an excellent artistic career. |

The joint appearances soon led to the fact that the three got together as a mixed three-voice (soprano, alto and baritone) and adopted the permanent name Helmuth Stapff Gruppe. Emmy left after their wedding in 1948 and was initially replaced by her sister-in-law Magda Reinwarth, who in turn was replaced a few years later by Else Seidel. Stapff and Marthel Pimpl married in 1954. In 1955 Stapff moved to West Germany and lived in Graefenberg for a good ten years, then in Buckenhofen (now Forchheim). Search | Add | 7 | Chœur de Femmes Calliope | The name of Calliope, one of the very few exclusively female French choirs, refers to the muse of eloquence. This relationship between text and music is at the heart of this ensemble founded in 1997 by Régine Théodoresco. "By choosing a female choir, I knew that I was tackling a demanding repertoire and that I would have to fight against the clichés that confine us to the voices of angels, ethereal stuff... everything that I hate. I prefer maturity, violence, human feelings, such as women experience them in life. With a hard core of six voices (soprano, mezzo and alto, in pairs) Calliope tackles "little jewels, preferably taken from the French repertoire, little known or little played". Six programs and 25 to 30 concerts per year, the choir is recognized. “We are still struggling to pass the bar of major festivals where a male choir sells better to the public.

As a formation in Art in Action Association, it took part in the “Light Well” performance (1991) and the avant-garde happenings: “Creation” (1991) and “1000a” (1991) but soon after continued as a music duo. The wide musical background and performing skills of the two musicians/ composers led to invent an unique “Transcendent-electric” style of mixing elements from jazz, rock, symphonic minimalism, new age, ambient, industrial to avant-garde with originality. The SLAV group has recorded and released the following albums: 1. Breathing - Riva Sound, 1992 2. Enlightenment 1 - DS Music, 1995 3. All In One - DS Music, 1995 4. Birds On Wire - DS Music, 1997 5. Timeless Journey - DS Music, 1997 6. 7 Years Somewhere In Europe (Compilation) - DS Music, 2006 After spending 3 years in USA, Lyubomir Velev returned back in 2009 to team up with his old time partner Svetoslav Bitrakov for their most ambitious one of a kind Project. LARGO < > PRESTO (2010) is their 7th album in 12 years. |

Search | Add | 7 | Plastic Violence | Fabrizio Paolillo, Francesca Materazzi | Plastic Violence starts in 1996 as a duo formed by [a1499348] and [a1499333] (Vega). Their first releases was with a strong flavor of industrial/experimental music and with political and social contents. With the first official Cd Immaterial (Death Paradise Production) the sound is radically changed to minimalist instrumentals ice-cold glitches with the tracks titles (begins with Ideal and ends with Idol) to form a path that blends the denial of the matter as a product's form and against the institutionalized art. The rare live-set exhibitions of Plastic Violence at the time was made to realize a noisy background to claustrophic multimedia happenings, helped also by other occasional collaborators. Then, in 2005, Francesca left Plastic Violence but Fabrizio has continued under the moniker with various compilation tracks and creating sonorizations for theatrical/art installation . In 2006, the year of the dog in the chinese calendar, Plastic Violence has released a monthly singles club on 3"cd-r ,The Dog Series (Death Paradise Production), each single in strictly limited hand-numbered edition of 50 copies. With these realises Plastic Violence has expanded the musical range to explore different directions. From the 11th issue of The Dog Series, Plastic Violence returns to be a duo with the adding of Marco Ricci as guitarist and singer . |

While in high school, he worked with Joshua Kosker (eventually a guitarist for The Juliana Theory) in a noise rock band called War that released two cassettes and disbanded when the two separated during college. Later, as a graduate student, he went on to form the satirical noise rock band Comparative Anatomy with friend Addison Dodds from 2009 until 2011. From this band he went on to perform vocals until 2016 for the doom/sludge band Beldam, writing the lyrics and singing on their first album, which was recorded in 2015. He left the band in 2016. Stepanic was also the former owner of the now-defunct label Mind Flare Media, which was later merged with another business, Deaf Sparrow.
