Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonny Caulfield | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield (1933-2011) | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield was born in 1933 in Verdun a Montreal suburb, the last of three children born to newly arrived Scottish parents. He studied classical piano from 1942-1947 and in 1955 plunged headlong into music full time. After 18 months playing with his trio in saloons in Montreal, a lucky break led to his being "discovered" at Montreal's fabled Supper Club, El Morocco. In two separate stints, he spent almost three years at this elegant nightclub, first as pianist/singer in the cocktail lounge, then adding to his job description the title House Master of Ceremonies. It was here that the show-business education really took place, presenting the opportunity to introduce international stars and watch them work 14 shows each week. In 1968, Sonny accepted a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation offer of 26 weekly issues of a live talent-development show called "Sunday Morning" on which he led a quartet as Music Director. Thirteen weeks into "Sunday Morning", time and budget became available for a major music show, and Sonny was offered the job of Music Director and featured performer. He also ended up writing and producing the show, "Islands and Princesses." It was live-to-tape, shot intentionally in black and white, and featured a blend of Classical and Pop music, sung in a variety of languages. 56 episodes were shot and played across the CBC Network. Work on the series ended by May, 1970. Then came "Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover", which had been running as a radio show five days a week for six years in downtown Toronto. Now there was talk that the show would move to television and expand to accomodate a studio audience. Sonny Caulfield would lead the house jazz trio. For the next five years "Welcome to Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover" was a staple of daytime television, featuring the Sonny Caulfield Trio. Over the next five years, visiting musicians included Buddy Greco, Roger Whittaker, Gene Krupa, Buddy DeFranco and Ella Fitzgerald, not to mention performers known best by the primarily Canadian audience. In August, 1975, "Luncheon Date" went off the air and Sonny moved to London with his family. Sonny returned to Montreal and Toronto in 1982, and took engagements in smaller, less glamourous venues, content now to just play music without the hassles of the big cities. In 1986, Sonny accepted an engagement at a hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, looking forward to a lazy summer on the beautiful Island. The engagement, which was to run four months, is still going strong nineteen years later. (1933-2011) Peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home, on Saturday, March 5, 2011, of Mr. Sonny Caulfield of Charlottetown and formerly of Montreal, Que., Toronto, Ont. and London, England. Dear father of Reid Caulfield (Lisa Baldwin) of Los Angeles, California and Sarah Caulfield (Sean Brady) of Hove, United Kingdom and her mother, Susan McLean. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Georgina (nee Reid) Caulfield and his sister, Sheena Ring and brother, William Caulfield. Grand entertainer, jazz piano player and bandleader, recording artist, raconteur and alumnus of CBC Television and Radio ("Islands & Princesses", "Elwood Glover’s Luncheon Date"). |

Shortly after landing in Johannesburg in 2004, Orecchia, a Brooklyn born and schooled wanderer, who wound up in Berlin as a teenager messing with experi- mental punk before moving years later to South Africa, heard some talk about a psychedelic afro-rock outfit called BLK JKS. They became fast friends and have been working together on projects ever since. Mpumi and Tshepang (guitar and drums respectively) contributed to João's 2009 album, Hands & Feet, and would often join him on stage, adding thunderous beats and general bigness to the otherwise textural and floating soundscapes. Slowly they started becoming a band. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Glissando Guitar Orchestra | The glissando guitar is a technique first invented by [a=Syd Barrett] and developped by [a=Daevid Allen] who made it his trademark. Glissando involves stroking the strings with a metal rod. It’s different from using a bottleneck in that you put the metal rod on the strings and stroke the strings right there on the neck. It interacts with the harmonics of the guitar to produce a unique unearthly and angelic sound. The idea of a glissando guitar ensemble was first conceived by Gong members Daevid Allen and [a=Steve Hillage] as far back as 1974, but until 2006 there had been no performance or band with more than 2 gliss guitarists. The Gong Reunion (Gong Unconvention) in Amsterdam in 2006 was the first opportunity to make real this project. Since then, the Orchestra is still alive, uniting different guitarists from different horizons each time. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Robert Bresson | French film director and screenwriter (25 September 1901, Bromont-Lamothe — 18 December 1999, Droue-sur-Drouette). Robert Bresson is often cited among the most influential and renowned filmmakers ever, preempting the development of "minimalist" cinema and hugely impacting the French New Wave directors. [a=Jean-Luc Godard] once wrote that Bresson "is the French cinema as Dostoevsky is the Russian novel and Mozart is German music." Robert Bresson's highly-influential book, Notes on the Cinematographer (1975), is one of the classics on film theory and critique. Numerous prominent and distinguished filmmakers from all over the world and across several generations have quoted Peter Bresson's work as a significant influence and inspiration, including [a=Ingmar Bergman], [a=Werner Herzog], [a=Alain Resnais], [a=Andrei Tarkovsky], [a=Abel Ferrara], [a=Aki Kaurismäki], [a=Abbas Kiarostami], [a=Atom Egoyan], [a=Jim Jarmusch], [a=Jean Cocteau], [a=Krzysztof Kieślowski], [a=Paul Schrader], [a=Jean-Pierre Melville], [a=Jacques Rivette], [a=Chantal Akerman], [a=Jean Eustache], [a=Philippe Garrel], [a=Hal Hartley], [a=Monte Hellman], [a=Louis Malle], [a=Olivier Assayas] and [a=Michael Haneke]. A decennial list of "250 greatest films" published since 1952 by [l=British Film Institute]'s Sight & Sound magazine, based on votes of the most reputable and distinguished critics, had more aggregated submissions for Bresson than any other film director ever. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Mynis | Matty G. - Drums Jason B. - Bass Guitar Rob G. - Guitar Thomas V. - Vocals/Percussion Mynis is a four piece progressive hard rock band formed in 1998 in the central California city of Fresno. Mynis is made up of Matty Gonzales on Drums, Robert Gonzalez on Guitar, Jason Benham on bass, and Tom Vlahavas on vocals/percussion. Mynis, whose style goes beyond any genre, has developed many loyal and devoted fans all over the country. They have survived many scenes and shared the stage with many diverse and different styles of music from heavy metal, to hardcore, to punk and anything else you can imagine. Hitting early gigs on Warped Tour 2000, 2001 and also playing many big local events sponsored by Fresno radio stations such as New Rock 104 and 103.7 KRZR led them to great success early on. This success helped launch them into a very productive and eventful career which continues on today. Since their formation in the late 90's they have shared the stage with such acts as Weezer, 311, Alien Ant Farm, Zebra Head, Pennywise and many, many more. Playing with such acts and doing extensive touring throughout California helped them catch the ear of high profile producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (known for her work with Tool, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince). They recorded their first full length album during the winter of 2003 with Sylvia and release it through independent label 5k records. This album helped launch them into full west coast touring and nation wide recognition. Their single "Bye Tomorrow" entered heavy rotation on local channel 103.7 KRZR and many other stations across the country in Texas, Ohio, New York, Nevada and Arizona, just to mention a few. Mynis, whose live show has left many stunned, keep hard at work writing and recording and are ready to dive into the next level of their career. With positive attitudes and a drive that won't quit, Mynis continues to tour and catch the ear of many. Their willingness to succeed is only superseded by their unmatched original sound. The Mynis website still receives hundreds of hits daily. After selling more then 20,000 records with little promotion other than touring, some radio exposure and word of mouth alone, the band continues to thrive and grow in popularity. Give them a listen! You won't be disappointed. Go see a live show and you will never be the same! Let’s bring it! | |
