These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

This was the first band led by Cahen in which he would solely assume the whole responsibility of music and the musical direction. The first line-up comprised Cahen himself on piano, Patrick Tillman (violin), Claire Gillet (contrabass), Charly Doll (drums) and Philippe Makaïa (percussions). The same year, François Cahen was also invited to reform [a=Zao (3)], and Patrick Tillman, was a natural inclusion in this band too. But this reformation of Zao was only meant as a temporary studio project and Cahen’s priority was for his band Faton. After several concerts and rehearsals, they released a 4-track CD in 1997. In 1999 the band toured heavily in France with a restructured line-up : Claire Gillet, Patrick Tillman and Philippe Makaïa left, replaced respectively by Thierry Colson, Nicolas Krassik and Olivier Bonny. Their first full length album was released in 2000 and another tour planned this year. For this tour, François Cahen decided to hire new musicians (only Charly Doll remained) as he was unsatisfied with the previous members of the band : “[i]they were ‘jazzmen’, and they fell in the jazz cliché of showing how good they could play, it wasn’t me nor my music anymore[/i]”. The new line-up lasted until 2002 and recorded one live album. In 2003, François Cahen reunited with Yochk’o Seffer in [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/3931470-Ethnic-3]Ethnic Trio[/url] and together they accepted an offer from [a=Hiroshi Masuda] (Poseidon Productions) to reactivate Zao again for a tour in Japan. As a jazz singer debuted in 2003 with Kramatorsk Amateur group "Ground Beat". In 1998-2003 he studied at Kramatorsk economic-humanitarian Institute (Department of foreign Philology) and in parallel worked as backing vocalist and arranger at a local Studio "the Pyramid". Later he graduated from the graduate linguistic courses at the Kharkov University. T. G. Shevchenko, taught English and German, proved himself as a talented PR Manager in the company "Promo Ua", and in may 2005 became the founder and editor-in-chief of the jazz portal Uajazz.com. Since 2004 collaborates with the Internet portal Jazz.Ru he became editor of Billboard, was the portal in Ukraine, and then together with Yuri Lnogradskiy joined the founders of the magazine Cyril and Anna Moshkova Filipjevi (joined the four founders). In 2007-08 was the PR Manager of the Moscow jazz club "Union of composers", and helped Yuri Vinogradskogo to draw up and implement a programme of festivals of improvised music in Dubna "Muzenergo". In 2007-08 used to sing at a jam Sachs in Moscow clubs, performed a duet with guitarist Alim Nastavim or with pianist Alexei Nazarovym festivals in Voronezh, Sumy, Cherkasy, Rivne, Lutsk, Dubna. As a jazz journalist actively represented by a series of festival reviews and interviews in each issue of the magazine "jazz.Ru". |

After a brief stint at Winona (MN) State Teachers College, where he played in the College's swing band, he matriculated to the University of Wisconsin. There he played in the 32nd ("Red Arrow") Division National Guard Band, a colorful if not downright rowdy group that was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington during the Berlin Crisis in 1962-63. Back in Madison after his active duty stint, George played the clarinet and soprano sax with the Riverboat Ramblers -a popular traditional jazz band in the Madison-Milwaukee-Lake Geneva area and which recorded two LPs. While at Indiana University, George played tenor sax with the Faculty Fiveand the Royal Garden Irregulars in Bloomington. He also played tenor sax with the Yale Jazz Band while there on sabbatical leave in 1976-77 -a gig which was pure joy. But George played very little for nearly 20 years, even with wife Jennifer 'badgering' him. He did agree to play "Laura," for her birthday every year which forced him to practice just a little. Upon moving to the California desert, George found an easy venue to begin playing again at the Back Street Bistro in Palm Desert. With the encouragement of pianist and vocalist Linda Peterson as well as that from other musicians and friends in the audience, George has vowed to "keep his chops up." | |

After extensive deliberation this band inherited the name Manîas pronounced Man-I-as. Local live shows and an extensive tour of Mexico drew immediate attention to the band. Main songwriter Drew was greatly inspired by the reaction and support of the fans in Mexico. He felt the need to repay them the only way he knew possible. That was to write lyrics in Spanish, and christen the band with a Spanish name to be used exclusively in Mexico. That name was “Salé Sangre”. Confusion arose about the bands’ name because of this unique concept. Never the less “Manîas-Salé Sangre” (the band with two names), forged ahead and became known as “brutal bilingual” death metal. Prior to recording their first demo in 1995, bassist “Bloody Gary” was asked to depart due to substance abuse. Drew has gone through many line-up changes since. “Manîas” has had many trials and tribulations throughout the years, worst of which happened in early 1999, when Drew “M” Ruiz, was arrested for transporting a quantity of marijuana. Before Drew was sentenced to five years in federal prison in Oct., 1999, “Manîas” recorded its first full length CD on “Entrapment records” (now “Dead World Syndicate” Rec.), entitled “Identity Crisis”. “Identity Crisis” is an anthology of past demos, and the then ‘new’ songs. This CD was released while Drew was serving his sentence, Manîas-Salé Sangre couldn’t tour to support it. After 40 months behind the fence, in March 2003, Drew is released and is back fulfilling his promise to continue on this “brutal bilingual” path. It has been 2 years since Manîas is back in the forum. With the help of talented musicians: Ernest Gurulé on guitar, Mike Orr on drums, all 3 of the Manîas trinity contribute to the latest material.
