Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Jesse Waldman | Jesse Waldman | One of Jesse Waldman’s most cherished possessions is a cassette of his grandmother singing the Yiddish folk song Papirosen to his mother. A remnant, like the abandoned guitar discovered in his parent’s basement, that drove his rock ‘n roll dreams out of the suburban sprawl of Thornhill, Ontario, and into the bars of downtown Toronto. A journey cross-country led him to mountains, ocean, and into the arms of Vancouver's Commercial Drive music scene. Now his home of over twenty years, the West Coast continues to inspire his lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding technique. Influenced by folk and blues pioneers Townes Van Zandt, Taj Mahal, and Neil Young, Jesse has toured Canada, Western US, and the UK, performing everywhere from local pubs to soft-seat theaters, appearing at major festivals including Vancouver's Folk and International Jazz Fests. Mansion Full of Ghosts is Jesse's highly anticipated solo debut, an exploration of the city's vast duality, a backdrop of beauty mirrored by a fierce underbelly, and a need to keep a light on in the dark. |

Search | Add | 6 | Grupo Illiniza | Grupo illiniza (also known as illiniza) is a cultural association from Ecuador centered in Popular Latin American music since 1979. It has been recognized as one of the most influential musical ensembles in the country. Grupo illiniza was established in 1979 in Quito city and debuted on TV by winning a national music contest. The ensemble was created with the idea of culturally linking and preserving the different nationalities and music of the communities that make up Latin America. It all began at the Instituto Nacional Mejía of Quito, a high school made up of city youth, some of whom were quite concerned about the reality of the time, and wanted to do something proactively in order to change things and influence people in a positive way. To talk about Latin America, its music and traditions, means speaking about its cultural identity. Only by getting closer to those communities that still preserve the roots of their nationhood and engaging with their different cultural manifestations (i.e. song, music, dance, art), can we begin to understand the reasons for their behavior, assess their roles in history and their struggles to preserve a millenarian, multicultural heritage that has defied the incessant alienation to which it has been subjected. Grupo illiniza has performed on stage next to musicians and dancing ensembles from Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia such as Inti-Illimani, Joan Manuel Serrat, Luis Eduardo Aute, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, León Gieco, The Moscow Ballet, Piero De Benedictis, Alex Alvear, Los Olimareños, Los Visconti, Tito Fernández, Illapu, Gabino Palomares, Los Folkloristas, Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Vicente Feliú, Tania Libertad, Quinteto Tiempo, Manuel Capella, Grupo Raiz, Noel Nicola, Kosetsu Minami, Adrian Goizueta, Pueblo Nuevo, Jaime Guevara, Roy Brown, Carlos Díaz "Caíto", Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, among others. The members of the group are generally invited to tour European or American countries with the purpose of sharing their repertoire which is varied and elaborate, demonstrating instrumental and vocal virtuosity in festivals and concerts that include performing genres such as fusion, world music, folk, Latin, trova, Afro Caribbean, Andean, Brazilian, and nueva canción, among others. In 2010 Grupo illiniza received several Awards in a national music composition contest entitled Canción de los Andes which is organized yearly by the Education Ministry of Ecuador. The categories include Innovation of Musical Genre and Execution of musical instruments. Throughout its long musical career spanning over 30 years, the Association has received several National and International awards as well as distinctions including trophies, gold and silver medals, certifications in European as well as American music and dance competitions, festivals and concert performances. They have also been awarded the prestigious title Ambassadors of Art and Friendship in Belgium. Two books and other publications cite Grupo illiniza as a reference in various musical genres. These include Andean Music and Ecuadorian Musical Groups. Grupo illiniza has been recognized by respected musicologists like director and musical composer Julio Bueno as being one of the most important representative groups of Ecuador's popular music.

Search | Add | 6 | Gaspare De Vito | Gaspare De Vito’s music will take your mind to unexpected places. An introspective journey into oneself, where a deeper connection with nature becomes possible. The Italian musician has a unique approach to music, which is centered around research and improvisation. Coming from a background in jazz and contemporary music, he has transitioned to electronic music in early 2015. Producer, saxophonist, flutist and composer, born in Naples in 1978. He has always been fascinated by the freedom which marks both music practice and sound research. His own singular concept of instrumental and compositional research drove appreciations from critics and audiences alike, in particular for his original musical language. Gaspare’s music is influenced by an enormous body of work. He draws inspiration from the music that mostly resonated with him, from the Neapolitan and Mediterranean roots of his childhood to the Hip-Hop of his early teens, going through Funk, Jazz all the way to Cuban, west and south African traditional music. With his new solo project, Gaspare De Vito, explores minimal and melodic techno sounds, producing deep, progressive and absolutely original music. A set that combines electronics and live music in a unique mix full of energy. As jazz performer he has worked with musicians such as Butch Morris, Alvin Curran, Mop Mop, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Francesco Bearzatti, Fabrizio Puglisi, Pasquale Mirra, Luisa Cottifogli, Maisha Grant and many more. He has also played with numerous bands both as a leader or as session-man in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Finland, Sweden and Estonia. Gaspare has performed at many international festivals such as Clusone Jazz Festival, Jazz In it, Sant’arcangelo Jazz Festival, Paradiso Jazz, Jazzy Jam, Cassero Jazz Festival, Dozza Jazz, Crossroads, Angelica Festival, Trentennale del Treno di Cage just to name few. In 2007 he was voted among the best Italian saxophonists and in 2008 he came seventh in the annual referendum for best new talent organised by italian magazine “Musica Jazz”.

Born in Bhavnagar on 27th December 1916, he had his early training in music from the Late Pt. Shankarrao Vyas, Pt. Narayan Moreshwar Khare and Late Pandit Omkarnath Thakur of Gwalior Gharana. Later, being attracted by the Kirana style of Khansaheb Abdul Karim Khan, he became a devout disciple of Pandit Balkrishnabua Kapileshwari, a direct disciple of the Late Khansaheb Abdul Karim Khan. Possessing a rich sonorous voice with tremendous depth of feeling and understanding of the Ragas, his devotion and dedication and his purity of style in the development of the Raga, he participated in many a concerts and attained fame all over India. Unfortunately, he died at the young age of 47 years on 3rd January 1964, leaving a void in the music world. Some of his famous disciples are Pandit Vinayak Vora (Vocal and Taar-Shehnai), Arun Sewak and Dakshesh Dhruv. Search | Add | 6 | Tiny Stokes | Dwight "Tiny" Stokes | Dwight "Tiny" Stokes (1920-1999) who was best known as the bass player and lead tenor of the comedic country group, Captain Stubby & The Buccaneers. The Chicago-based group was together for several decades, most notably starring on the WLS National Barn Dance program, as well as local and nationally syndicated programs on the ABC network. Stokes was born in Springfield, Missouri but like many entertainers in the radio era he moved around a lot, living in Monticello, Indiana and Helena, Montana among other places, before retiring down in Florida. It was up in Montana in the early 'Sixties while working as a radio deejay that Tiny Stokes met a factory worker and aspiring country singer named Charley Pride, whose career he championed, introducing the future chart-topper to Red Foley, who helped then Pride break into the Nashville scene. Though not known as a solo artist, Stokes recorded prolifically with the Buccaneers, both on Decca singles and countless airshots; he was also known for the hillbilly hit, "Blackfoot Boogie," a Montana-themed novelty number he recorded in 1956 with a group called the Frontiersmen. (The song name-checks every country bar in the state, one by one, city by city, and is about as specific a shout-out song as you'll ever hear...) |

Search | Add | 6 | Purveyor of Death | Purveyor of Death is a metalcore band from Norway which was founded in December 2010. The original lineup got a change in the summer of 2011 as Eirik Gausen (Vocals) decided to leave the band. They did a few concerts as a 4 piece band in the autumn of 2011. Remi Aleksander Borgsø joined the band at Christmas 2011. In the spring of 2011 Unknown Weakness was written, and several other songs were added during 2011. 2012 started with studio sessions for Man of Sin and I'll find my way. Man of Sin was to become their first vinyl single, and it made quite attention as the music video of this song participated in a local band competition. 3 more songs were recorded during 2012. Retaliation was recorded in January 2013 and released as a 10" vinyl single in June. Purveyor of Death are heading towards faster, harder and more complicated music, and are leaving the metalcore style. 5 new songs are planned to be recorded in the start of 2014, and a 12" EP or LP will be released within a year. _________________________________________________________________________________________________

Grace Church is the home of Grace Records (16), which produced several trend-setting Praise & Worship recordings in the 1980s. The very first album released by Hosanna! Several other early Hosanna! and Grace Records albums were recorded at Grace in the 1980s, most produced by Tom Brooks, who served as Music Director at the church. Later albums were also produced by Bill Ancira. Other prominent worship leaders and musicians to record or participate on early albums from Grace Church include Kent Henry (who served on staff at the church before launching his own ministry), Jeff Hamlin (vocalist and producer on several Integrity Music projects), Damon Lovelace, well-known drummer Carl Albrecht (2) and vocalist Leann Albrecht. Grace Church was formerly known as Grace World Outreach Center and is now known as Grace Church STL.

Norwich Live Gig promoter with "WombatWombat" and alternative recording engineer/producer during same period - sometimes working under the name "M.E.G.A.N Process" - recording bands in any location of their choice. Also was a full time member of many bands including the Norfolk UK band Magoo joining the group to help with the promotion of the "Vote The Pacifist Ticket Today" UK tour with Derby band Cable, a Radio One Newcastle sound city live show and various John Peel Sessions for the BBC. After the departure from the group of David Bamford and Andrew Hodge, Andrew Rayner, Owen Turner and I built a 16/256 track digital studio in the 'Sickroom' rehearsal room and we started writing and recording the "Realist Week" album. I remained working with the group until the Realist Week album was released. Other bands I have performed and recorded with include the legendary Norwich group "The Pitkins" as their replacement violinst/guitar back-up , "Drudge" where I recorded, produced and sequenced bass/drums, and Suffolks finest post-punk noise outfit "Tokyo Sexhwale" where we recorded a Polly Session for an Ipswich local radio station. |
