Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Fart Gang | Fart Gang is an indie/electronic instrumental band from Atlanta, Ga. What started as a small project/inside joke between two friends has evolved into a four man noise making machine today. Fart Gang was started by Oafi Khan and Jack Alston in 2018. By the end of that year Fart Gang had four members, as Daniel Hord and Gray Sims joined in. In 2019 they recorded their first song, A Lifetime. In early 2020 Gray Sims left the group and the group briefly became a trio. A couple months later Kenny Butler (better known by his online alias Fancy Tongue), who had been friends with Daniel, soon befriended Oafi and Jack and joined in September of 2020, making the roster the band has to this day.

Search | Add | 6 | Aaron Deponce | Aaron Hilliard | Singer, Songwriter & Entertainer, Aaron Deponce, is making his presence felt in the music industry with his smooth, sultry voice and high energy-packed performances. DePonce is a gifted, innovative, and influential music figure who started singing at the age of 5 in Indianapolis, Indiana. At age 16, his singing talents soon became obvious to industry heavy hitters, Darryl Simmons, Kenneth "Baby Face "Edmonds, and Antonio "L.A. "Reid. In 1992, they quickly signed him to Laface Records as a member of the R&B group, "A FEW GOOD MEN". The group first appeared on The LaFace Family Christmas album in 1993 singing their very own rendition of "Silver Bells", which still to date is played in heavy rotation, getting us in the Christmas spirit each and every year. The group's debut album, "Take a Dip", featured two successful singles 'Tonite' and 'Have I Never.' The Babyface produced, 'Have I Never', was the group's biggest success, reaching #32 on the R&B charts and #76 on the Hot 100. The Dallas Austin produced, 'Tonite', managed to reach #44 on the R&B charts. Unfortunately, due to front office reconstruction at the record label, their project didn't receive the necessary support it needed. In 1997 the group disbanded, and in 1999 DePonce signed to an independent recording label, Imperium Records, in Miami, Florida. His solo debut album, "From My Window", which spawned the songs "Just The Way You Are", and "Tight-Tight", opened his eyes to all the benefits of controlling his vision and reaping the many rewards of doing so. After a successful solo debut, DePonce decided to take his career in his own hands and create NEW MERGE, Inc., which released the labels first album, "Devotion", in 2005. Aaron Deponce then realized that by using the power of internet sales with networks such as MySpace & CD Baby, he could connect with distribution companies in other countries. His music began to reach audiences as far as Japan, Europe and Africa. In 2007, while in Atlanta, Georgia working with other recording artists signed to Usher Raymond's manager, J.Pat, he gained the attention of Terrence"T-Low"Brown & Robert"RL"Huggar, both members of the Multi Platinum R&B Trio "NEXT". With the third member no longer a part of the group, DePonce was given the opportunity to fill that void. Touring and eventually recording with "NEXT", he never stopped perfecting his craft as a solo artist. Because of his driven personality, and his strong desire to succeed, he wasted no time in recording his new album, "HEREAFTER", set to be released Aug 18, 2011. His resume of career achievements not only includes singing, songwriting, and production, but he also possesses extensive knowledge and experience in sales, marketing and promotions. Aaron Deponce's wide variety of talents and gifts has enabled him to reinvent himself and stay relevant in today's music industry. |

Search | Add | 6 | Hogiau Bryngwran | The group was formed around 1955-56, with members attending the same Sunday School and the same Band of Hope in the village of Bryngwran , Anglesey . At that time, before the electricity arrived at the village, the group would practice under a lamp of barfaxine, embracing each other's harmony and voices. At that time, the accompaniment followed the style of the skiff of the period, with a simple straight guitar (a tied string attached to a wooden chest), simple drums, washing wood and a mouth organ. Lonnie Donegan and his skiffy songs were a great influence on them and from the 1950's onwards, Radio Luxembourg introduced folk singers such as Hank Williams to broad audiences. The influence of such new music was seen at the Anglesey Eisteddfod in 1959 when Hogia Bryngwran and Hogia Llandegai had a fierce competition with Hogia Bryngwran winning (under the name Hogia'r Werin). As a result, the number of audiences and supporters for Hogia Bryngwran has grown in joyful evenings and concerts, as well as through radio and television. The group appeared on the Amser Te magazine program, with Myfanwy Howell presenting a program produced by TWW TV from their studio in Pontcanna , Cardiff , and also on Welsh programs that Granada would provide from their Manchester studio on for a Welsh audience in north Wales. The Hogia had their unique sound, and one of their main features was to knock Idris Hughes. In the 1960s, Neville Jones (a member of Foot Wadin) joined them, and through the sound of his Hawaiian guitar, the group's sound further developed. At the time of the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Ebbw Vale in 1958, Hogia Bryngwran was staying in the village of Cwm when they were invited to travel to Ireland to perform on Radio Eire, becoming an 'international' group if only for a moment. The record group released the Cambrian label in 1968, receiving a postal order for seven shillings and six pounds paid.

Search | Add | 6 | Dél-Alföldi Saxophone Ensemble | The ensemble was formed by three young sax-players in 1992, all born and, by and large, still living in the Southern and South-Eastern end of the Great Hungarian Plains. In fact they derive their name from the region of their birth. ("Dél-alföldi" means "of the Southern Plains"). Their common ground is not just a matter of geography, although geography matters too because the corner of Hungary they come from practically borders on the Balkans and that is also something that you can hear in their music. The present personnel crystallized in 1997. Their repertoire includes folk arrangements, traditional pieces, and jazzy, almost danceable compositions with their roots in the rhythmic world of Hungarian and Eastern European folk music and jazz. Their musical choices are illustrated by their instruments too: the bag pipe, the hit gardon (a percussion instrument resembling the shape of a cello), traditional recorders, and the "körtemuzsika" (a special Hungarian flute) are in their arsenal just as well as a unique vocal effect called tuva singing. In the singular compositional concepts of the three saxophonists just as in the free parts one can point out highly individual ideas. However, the influence of Mihály Dresch’s and György Szabados’ music on their approach is undeniable. Members of the band: Béla Ágoston - vocal/saxophone/clarinet Róbert Benkő - double bass Béla Pöcök Burány - saxophon Tamás Geröly - drums Balázs Dongó Szokolay - saxophon/flute/clarinet Discography: 1997. Search | Add | 6 | DC Da Messenger | At the age 16, DC Da Messenger was the motivating force behind a very talented singing and rap group called DC Rap Kids, which consisted largely of some very creative and innovated family members, including his younger brother and three cousins. Compositions like "World War III", "video Games", "The Smurfs", DC Rap Kids Theme" and of course "Big Chance" showed his early genius at writing with message and meaning. However, limited by lack of industry knowledge and capitol backing, the "Big Chance" never came. Eventually DC Rap Kids evolved into "DC Delinquent Teens". Da Messenger persevered and stuck to his guns, refusing to compromise his unique art form. This landed him a job with the Everyday Theater Youth Ensemble(ET), where he finally felt the "hype" of performing for more than just family and he loved it. Now more than ever, he vowed never to turn back. His experience with ET was the best thin that could have happened to Da Messenger. After Everyday Theater, Da Messenger tried to once again pull his family along, but realized that nothing happens overnight. All but one has been lost to the streets, including himself. He has never let go of his dream and remains determined to achieve whatever it was that DC Rap Kids set out to do nine years ago. He look back and wonders how many really talented undiscovered kid never get a chance to achieve their dreams, but fall victim to the stone cold street of hustling, drug abuse, robbery and everything that comes with it. On that tragic note, he dedicates the singles "AVENUE BUM RUSH",and "IT'S ON YOU".

Search | Add | 6 | Louis Karchin | Louis Karchin (born September 8, 1951) is an American composer, conductor and educator. He has composed over 60 works including unaccompanied and chamber music, symphonic works and opera. His music has been recognized by awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters (Andrew Imbrie Award, Goddard Lieberson Fellowship, and Walter N. Other major works include American Visions, a vocal-instrumental song-cycle on poems of Yevgeny Yevtushenko (New World Records), and a masque, Orpheus, based on a poem by Stanley Kunitz (Albany Records). Of the latter work, critic Jules Langert wrote of its San Francisco premiere, “The music seemed in constant flux, creating strong, richly textured sonorities….and brilliant splashes of color; this Orpheus floated on an incandescent fabric of sound.”"[2] Mr. Karchin’s music is published by C. F. Peters Corporation and the American Composers Alliance. Active as a conductor and presenter of new music, Mr. Karchin co-founded the Harvard Group for New Music, the Chamber Players of the League-ISCM, and the Orchestra of the League of Composers. With these groups, he conducted New York or world premieres of works by Elliott Carter, Charles Wuorinen, Joan Tower, Julia Wolfe, Milton Babbitt, Bernard Rands, David Rakowski, Arthur Kreiger, and Jason Treuting, among others. Karchin was born in Philadelphia, PA, and is Professor of Music at New York University. He received a B. Mus. degree from the Eastman School of Music, an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University, and was twice a Leonard Bernstein Fellow at Tanglewood. Search | Add | 6 | Dimitry Liss | Dimitry Lisionok | Dimitry Liss, was born on the 18th day of December 1985 in the city of Vladivostok, Russia. Soon after he relocated to Tyumen, Siberian City where he spend the first 15 years of his life. Music and sports were the only activities that kept him going in the oil- rigged city. At home his father was his main influence and shaped his perception of music. Dad was deeply rooted in good old school rock, in the likes of Beatles, Nazareth, CCR, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne. Didn’t take long for Dimitry to pick up the tennis racket and rock on at the tender age of 4. In addition, his mother's friend was a piano teacher who started tutoring young Dimitry from an early age, which initially was perceived as hardworking and difficult - became easy and interesting. Sports was his little sanctuary, where the body exercised and the mind relaxed, composing a flow of ideas that later on grew more complex. The year was 2002, Dubai was the new city that would in turn add to his aural perception. In the United Arab Emirates he completed high school; in a poly-cultural environment were music, culture and technology coincide hand in hand. His younger brother formed a metal-band soon after Dimitry joined him to express their ideas, in a more sophisticated level. Rhythm guitar intrigued Dimitry and still does to this day. The band has composed over 20 original pieces over the last years, with tastes of heavy metal, brutal death, melodic and the like and now more diverse and stronger than ever. After school Dimitry set off to Prague to study business, however his journey was cut short. Within a year his passion guided him to follow another path. In 2006, back to square one, he joined an audio engineering school in Dubai. Where he successfully completing his audio engineering degree in 2007 and was honored with a bachelor’s degree in Arts. The educational experience equipped him with several valuable tools; and his perception of music grew immensely. Now being able to put each and every one of his ideas on canvas. In this educational journey, he met his co-producer artist, Costas Papa. Although Costas was heavily influenced from house, trance and techno; at some level they had similar visions. This gave birth to the Dimitry Liss & Costas Papa "coalition", formed in 2007 to serve the global community with quality electronic music. Although the project is like a new born baby, it has crawled into several leading indie labels such as Bit Records Mexico, Xela Recordings, Stranamente Records, Total Wipes, Reticent Recordings to name a few. However, Dimitry did not stop there as in early 2009 he ventured to explore the music world in his solo career by signing with few more major underground labels like Frisky Records and Balkan Connection South America Records. Currently Dimitry Liss supports electronic music, he is heavily involved with Dimitry Liss & Costas Papa duo project and his own work as a producer and a DJ, crafting brand new progressive, tech, deep, minimal house tracks for your enjoyment. |

Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tony’s exposure to classic blues, jazz, and rock and roll fueled his passion for music, and for the past two decades, he’s been driving audiences with his technique and vision. Through his music, he seeks to reveal beauty and strength where others see decay and despair, and his desire resonates in his approach, simultaneously aggressive and dark, playful and funky. As the Techno Buyer at Chicago’s renowned WAXaddict Records from 2003 to 2007, Tony was able to push the boundaries of underground dance culture by hand-selecting a wide range of unique tracks to feed the scene. During his nine-year stay in the Windy City, Tony was an integral part of several promotional companies and performed at many events ranging from raves and warehouse parties to major clubs alongside internationally respected producers like Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Alexi Delano, Pascal FEOS, Samuel L Session, Joris Voorn, The Advent, Bryan Zentz, Adam Marshall, Mike Dearborn, Cari Lekebusch, Traxx, Cajmere, Gene Hunt, Lester Fitzpatrick, Mark Verbos, Terry Mullan, and Frankie Bones. Tony has traveled throughout the United States performing in key cities like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, and turning the tables at venues during Miami’s Winter Music Conference and Detroit’s Movement Festival. Tony’s inimitable mixing style is highly adaptable to the ambiance of the events he plays. His history with techniques, such as using up to three turntables, and his continuing progression into digital controls and modulation combined with the rich resource of his track knowledge enables Tony to control his audience with every measure played. Tony released several tracks and remixes on labels such as Kompute Musik and Smooth Agent Records, but it wasn’t until he signed with Jay Denham’s Black Nation Records in 2010 that he had the opportunity to release his first album, Know Who You Are, featuring the international dancefloor DJ picks “Come in Earth” and “Selections.” Since 2010, Tony has released several singles, including the popular “No Sleep Required,” featured on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio show, and remixes, including the recent “Mufflerman” on Packed Music (Madrid). His studio mix series is available for streaming on Soundcloud, and he has been a featured artist for numerous radio broadcasts, showcasing most recently for Element 44, SUBterror Radio, CoCo.fm, and Blank Code. Currently residing in Miami with his wife and daughter, Tony continues to push his sound through its boundaries, and in addition to his anticipated 2016 releases, including his second artist album, he is seeking a degree in Audio Engineering. |

Search | Add | 6 | Bob Suren | Bob Suren founded Burrito Records in 1991 to release a 7" by one of his early bands, Flaming Midget. The Flaming Midget "Midget Melodies: Short Songs For The Very Short" has become somewhat of a cult record. 500 copies were made in a single pressing. Suren was the bassist in Flaming Midget, but played both bass and guitar on the record because the band didn't want to work with the original guitarist anymore. Flaming Midget played just two live shows: Aug 10, 1990 and Aug 16, 1990 -- both in their hometown of Stuart, FL. After Flaming Midget, Suren started Failure Face in 1992 with Rob Sexton of Slap Of Reality and John Tucci of E.B.S. He formed pen pal friendships with Sexon and Tucci while he was studying journalism at the University Of Florida. These friendships eventually led Suren to leave his hometown of Stuart, FL and move to Brandon, FL where he would open the world-famous punk rock record store Sound Idea in 1995, which he ran until Oct 2008. Failure Face really got off the ground in the spring of 1993 when a revamped line up played their first show, made their first record, appeared on the "It's A Florida Thing" 7" compilation (Toy Box Records, 1993) and went on their first tour, all in a very short period of time. Failure Face lasted until Aug 31, 1996. In their time, Failure Face released four records and appeared posthumously on the "Amnesia" compilation album (Ebullition Records). In 2003, Suren the complete works of Failure Face as the "Complete Failure" CD on his own Burrito Records label. After the break up of Failure Face, Suren had an itch to keep playing music, so he called up his old friend John Tucci and Slap Of Reality guitarist Joe Kiser, with whom he had only a nodding relationship at the time. These three worked on songs for a few weeks in the fall of 1997 before calling in former Failure face bassist Kevin Shanahan to join their group. In 1998, MSP released two records. Over the next several years the band floated in and out of dormancy, breaking up and reforming several times. In 2008, after a 3 year hiatus, Murder-Suicide Pact reformed. Also in 2008, the withering world economy forced Suren to close his beloved record shop as well as the Burrito label. Burrito released 29 titles, including Scrotum Grinder, Combat Wounded Veteran, h100s, Control De Estado, Hated Youth, Roach Motel, F, Gay Cowboys In Bondage, Death Sentence, Reason Of Insanity and many more. Suren has also played bass in the band Gross National Product and drums in John Madden And The Electric Condoms. Both bands have vinyl releases to their credit.
