Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Frank Virtuoso | Francis F. Virtuoso | Born on January 21, 1923. He played the violin as a child and took up the guitar and the double bass as a teenager. He continued with the latter as a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and studied orchestration at Temple University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and became bandleader of the Regular Navy Dance Band in Bainbridge, Maryland. He was discharged in 1946 because his father, who had been diagnosed with cancer, could no longer support his family. Virtue considered putting together a big band but, due to financial constraints, assembled an amplified trio instead, with Ralph Frederico on the piano and Steve Rossi on the guitar. Virtue named the band the Virtuoso Trio after their formation in 1947. The Virtuoso Trio toured the regional club circuit for the better part of a decade, playing as far as Canada and making regular appearances on Philadelphia radio and television. They appear to have been the house band at Chubby's Cafe in West Collingswood, New Jersey in 1949 and 1950. They performed as a backup ensemble for Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Dick Haymes, June Christy, and others. When local Pennsylvanians Bill Haley & the Comets hit big in the mid-1950s, Virtue found a receptive audience in the teenagers who loved the nascent rock & roll craze. By this time, the group's lineup had expanded, with Virtue on the bass, John Renner on the saxophone, Jimmy Bruno on the guitar, Joe Vespe on the drums, and Dave Kaplin as an occasional vocalist. Under the name the Virtues, they released a rock reworking of Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith's country hit "Guitar Boogie" in 1958 under the title "Guitar Boogie Shuffle", on the Hunt label. The instrumental became a major hit in the U.S., peaking at #27 on the Black Singles chart and #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. The single also became a sheet music smash, selling well worldwide. Several singles followed – "Flippin", "Boogie Woogie", "Vaya con Dios" – but none of them succeeded; the group was signed by ABC-Paramount, but their only return to the charts was with the 1962 release "Guitar Boogie Shuffle Twist" which reached #95 in the United States pop charts. Towards the end of 1962, Virtue disbanded the group and primarily pursued a career as a record producer and recording engineer. His original studio, in the basement of his house on Fayette Street, was where "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" was originally recorded. He opened a new business, [l368463], located at 1618 N. Broad St., which became one of the top studios in Philadelphia for a number of years until closing in the early 1980s. He produced and mixed (with his wife Mary Anne Virtue) groups such as "Society's Child", a top 40 band from the Wilmington, Delaware area. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, among others, produced records at Virtue's studio before moving on to [l264049]. The song "Hey There, Lonely Girl" by Eddie Holman was produced at the studio, as were "That's Life" and "Who Stole the Keeshka?" by Gabriel & the Angels. In later years Virtue Studios was the home of a number of rap groups, including Dr. Roxx & Co. Collectables Records released a collection of Virtues instrumentals in 1993 as Guitar in Orbit.. |

Like a good wine, classic songs sung by a vocalist as good as John Doc can only mature with age. The Doc's career started in the early 60's, becoming the pianist in a live band before branching out with John Healy, where the duo become one of the more prominent acts when Clubland was at it's thriving best. After parting ways with Healy, Doc surrounded himself with great musicians and went off out under his own name, appearing as the resident vocalist at Hasties Farm in Blantyre – a popular entertainment venue which until the early 60’s had been a working farm. After a spell of about six years there, John moved to The Carousel in Motherwell, with the Doc and his trio playing an integral part in the club's success, so much so that John went into partnership with the owner, Gerry Gallen. Throughout his career, John became synonymous with many a venue throughout Scotland, such as Cowie Bowling Club, Cleland Miners, Carfin's Hibernian Club and Wishaw's Little Caesar's to name but a few, becoming an integral part of their respective communities as a result of his residencies. |

Search | Add | 6 | Far From Grace | FFG was an American hardcore band with metallic influences and a heavier edge. They were from Pittsfield, Massachusetts and were active roughly between 1997 and 1998 with a brief regrouping in 2000. Beginning under the names Steadfast and Grievance, they settled on Far From Grace and put out their first demo in 1998. The band changed their name to In Spite Of (using the name of Wil and Mike's old metal band from Florida). They built their reputation as In Spite Of before drifting apart in 1998 with Jerry and George going on to All Kill All and True Blood and Wil and Mike going on to Dropfaith and On Deaf Ears. The band reformed briefly in 2000 as Far From Grace and recorded a second demo before disappearing for good. Search | Add | 6 | Broken Finguz | Martin Weber | Started back in 2007, as the official DJ of the underground group [a=Killakikitt] and founding member of the label [a3544200]. Quickly improved production skills and came out with his first release on [a=Destruct]`s - Rebel Minded album (USA-2008) and [m936059] (HUN-2009). With the rap crew [a=Killakikitt] they toured the region and opened for artists like [a=Method Man], [a=Snowgoons], [a=MObb Deep], [a=Psycho Realm] & [a=B-Real] and many more. The rookie beat maker quickly became a highlighted producer in the underground scene, and his sounds started to reach out Mc`s and bands from overseas. In 2010 he entirely produced an LP named [r7174807] for two Mc`s from Los Angeles [a=Destruct] and [a=Beond] of [a218826], and the ball was just on roll, as he came out on several international releases with [a=2Mex] (of The Visionaries), [a=Gavlyn], [a57509], [a=Rebels to The Grain] and many more. After co-producing and release the LP [r3529926], the focus was again on the label [a3544200], as BrokenFinguz and Aza hooked up with international known heavyweight lyricists like [a431798], [a44392], [a14745] and many more, to release the worldwide album named [m788883]. In 2011 he founded the group “Mash Tape” together with [a2705548]. Their debut album [r9169455] has been released in 2012 and they invited the cream of Hungarian Mc`s. The same year he hooked up with the well-known lyricist [a3621972] and produced the contest winning song for [a=Red Bull] Pilvaker. |
