Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Musically their main influences were early 70’s rock as Hendrix or Black Sabbath but with all 80’s raw energy of the hardcore punk scene. Their sound may be compared with a scrap crusher working: noisy & destructive, but necessary to do the right job. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Hogiau Bryngwran | The group was formed around 1955-56, with members attending the same Sunday School and the same Band of Hope in the village of Bryngwran , Anglesey . At that time, before the electricity arrived at the village, the group would practice under a lamp of barfaxine, embracing each other's harmony and voices. At that time, the accompaniment followed the style of the skiff of the period, with a simple straight guitar (a tied string attached to a wooden chest), simple drums, washing wood and a mouth organ. Lonnie Donegan and his skiffy songs were a great influence on them and from the 1950's onwards, Radio Luxembourg introduced folk singers such as Hank Williams to broad audiences. The influence of such new music was seen at the Anglesey Eisteddfod in 1959 when Hogia Bryngwran and Hogia Llandegai had a fierce competition with Hogia Bryngwran winning (under the name Hogia'r Werin). As a result, the number of audiences and supporters for Hogia Bryngwran has grown in joyful evenings and concerts, as well as through radio and television. The group appeared on the Amser Te magazine program, with Myfanwy Howell presenting a program produced by TWW TV from their studio in Pontcanna , Cardiff , and also on Welsh programs that Granada would provide from their Manchester studio on for a Welsh audience in north Wales. The Hogia had their unique sound, and one of their main features was to knock Idris Hughes. In the 1960s, Neville Jones (a member of Foot Wadin) joined them, and through the sound of his Hawaiian guitar, the group's sound further developed. At the time of the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Ebbw Vale in 1958, Hogia Bryngwran was staying in the village of Cwm when they were invited to travel to Ireland to perform on Radio Eire, becoming an 'international' group if only for a moment. The record group released the Cambrian label in 1968, receiving a postal order for seven shillings and six pounds paid. | |

Sites: www.tonykasper.com, Black Nation Records, Facebook Fan Page, SoundCloud, RA Page, MixCloud, About.me Since his first experience with the electronic music world at the tender age of 13 when he became the DJ at his local rollerskating rink, Tony Kasper (who has performed previously as “Mindbender”) has kept his finger on the techno community’s pulse. Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tony’s exposure to classic blues, jazz, and rock and roll fueled his passion for music, and for the past two decades, he’s been driving audiences with his technique and vision. Through his music, he seeks to reveal beauty and strength where others see decay and despair, and his desire resonates in his approach, simultaneously aggressive and dark, playful and funky. As the Techno Buyer at Chicago’s renowned WAXaddict Records from 2003 to 2007, Tony was able to push the boundaries of underground dance culture by hand-selecting a wide range of unique tracks to feed the scene. During his nine-year stay in the Windy City, Tony was an integral part of several promotional companies and performed at many events ranging from raves and warehouse parties to major clubs alongside internationally respected producers like Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Alexi Delano, Pascal FEOS, Samuel L Session, Joris Voorn, The Advent, Bryan Zentz, Adam Marshall, Mike Dearborn, Cari Lekebusch, Traxx, Cajmere, Gene Hunt, Lester Fitzpatrick, Mark Verbos, Terry Mullan, and Frankie Bones. Tony has traveled throughout the United States performing in key cities like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, and turning the tables at venues during Miami’s Winter Music Conference and Detroit’s Movement Festival. Tony’s inimitable mixing style is highly adaptable to the ambiance of the events he plays. His history with techniques, such as using up to three turntables, and his continuing progression into digital controls and modulation combined with the rich resource of his track knowledge enables Tony to control his audience with every measure played. Tony released several tracks and remixes on labels such as Kompute Musik and Smooth Agent Records, but it wasn’t until he signed with Jay Denham’s Black Nation Records in 2010 that he had the opportunity to release his first album, Know Who You Are, featuring the international dancefloor DJ picks “Come in Earth” and “Selections.” Since 2010, Tony has released several singles, including the popular “No Sleep Required,” featured on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio show, and remixes, including the recent “Mufflerman” on Packed Music (Madrid). His studio mix series is available for streaming on Soundcloud, and he has been a featured artist for numerous radio broadcasts, showcasing most recently for Element 44, SUBterror Radio, CoCo.fm, and Blank Code. Currently residing in Miami with his wife and daughter, Tony continues to push his sound through its boundaries, and in addition to his anticipated 2016 releases, including his second artist album, he is seeking a degree in Audio Engineering. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Teldja | Saadia Bakhouch | Saadia Bakhouch known as Teldja ثلجة is an Algerian singer born in Aïn Beïda on June 12, 1953. The main merit of this great singer is in contributing to renew and divulge a musical style known as Chaoui belonging to the culture of the Berber people with the same name. The Chaouis (Amazigh: Icawiyen) are an ethnic group inhabiting the Aurès (Amazigh: ⴰⵡⵔⴰⵙ / Awras), a region located in the north east of Algeria, characterized by a rich history and by the mountain that gives the name to the region. Teldja proposes a revision of the musical heritage of this region, sometimes reinterpreting it using a classically Arabic orchestration, which still arouses various criticisms by various members of the Algerian Berber community who have always considered arabization as absolute evil. Very little is known about the biography of this artist whose art has been gradually forgotten. It seems she have begun to sing at parties and weddings in the early '70s. In 1976 she performed in the city of Ouenza in the company of the folkloric band, generating great appreciation and starting a brilliant but brief career. She has never left her region of origin and has lived between the cities of Annaba and Tebessa, recording several songs among which the best known are: "Ya Salah", "Talaa netsawar" and "Tiri tiri ya teyyara ". During her career she has collaborated with some of the best Algerian composers including: Rabah Driassa and Mohamed Boulifa. In 1984 she was invited for an official performance in the city of Constantine, since then the news about her disappears. |

| Search | Add | 6 | De Broers Roo | ROO | Alfred and Jaap Roo are brothers and musicians from Rouveen, Overijssel (Netherlands). They start writing their first songs together in the summer of 2006. Together with some friends they form a band called Titograd and play at several small festivals in the years that follow. In 2010 the band falls apart. Unable to sit still Alfred and Jaap continue with a new project, naming themselves The O’Riley Brothers. That same year they win a local singer-songwriter contest that takes place at Hedon in Zwolle. Soon after they start recording their first songs resulting in an EP called The Times. This is the first time they use their family name ‘Roo’ as their artist name. Having found their identity as artists it seems the brakes are off and one album after the other finds its way into the world. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Guy Blakeman | Guy Jasper Blakeman | Guy Blakeman (1911-1992). Born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and learned to play the fiddle at a young age. In 1927, he came to Cincinnati to work in a factory. When the Depression hit in 1929, he lost his job but was able to get a job playing fiddle on WCKY with a group called the Bluegrass Serenaders (the name referred to the state of Kentucky, as bluegrass music had not yet been invented). In the 1930s, with Roland Gaines and Jerry Behrens, he was a member of the Range Riders, a group that moved back and forth between WCKY and KMOX in St. Louis, eventually landing at Renfro Valley, Kentucky in 1940. There, John Lair changed their name to the Mountain Rangers. Blakeman was in various groups over the years, including the Prairie Ramblers at WLW on the Midwestern Hayride in 1950. He participated in at least one of Larry Sunbrock’s infamous fiddle contests, this one at the Carthage Fairgrounds in Cincinnati in 1945, where he competed against Clayton McMichen, Natchee the Indian, and Fiddling Red Herron. He was the National Fiddling Champion in 1952, which he capitalized upon by recording two 78 rpm records on Cincinnati’s Gateway label in that year and one on the unlikely Chess label using the old Bluegrass Serenaders name. In 1979, he participated on an LP which honored Cincinnati area traditional musicians. In 1982, he put out an EP of fiddle tunes on the Musique label in Loveland. He was around the Cincinnati area for many years and had an influence on country and bluegrass fiddlers who came after him. |

At one gig of the band Guru Guru, he was even Elektrolurch ! Maybe you know what Elektrolurch is. He fell to the ground because of a cable, and people had fun, but this is another story... Nowadays he is putting out music under the pseudonyms Amp-err, Pndk12770 & Van Kraut. He is releasing his music on his own label Aggregat Records with the sublabel Jedentag Musik. The music is more or less to put in the Electronic Genre (Electro, House, Techno, Minimal, TripHop, New Wave, etc.). |

| Search | Add | 6 | Fokkewolf | Garage/Punk rock band from England. Formed in 1996. Daz and Paul needed a guitar player after splitting another band going nowhere. Clarky, a sparring partner from the old hardcore days fitted the bill perfectly (they played briefly together in FORCEFED). After a few gigs they cut Bullet Festival EP in the same year but didn't release it. Played a rack of gigs in the UK. More recording followed. This resulted in the DEATHRAY EP. Some frenzied live activity accompanied the record. Then came the legendary KICK ARSE EP, inspired by the film 'Brain Dead'. A track from it was put on a Frank Records comp which spread the word about the band around Europe. The EP was played on the Peel show in the UK, and they were invited to do a session by the great man himself!! Then Barny from Incognito asked them for a record for his anniversary release series. This spawned the PORNO ROCKER anthem. The band then split for various personal reasons, and things lay fallow for a while. All seemed dead until founder member Smith reformed the band with new members and tied up some loose end songs written before the split. That's it! | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Charlie Dick | Charlie Dick, the widower of country legend [a227842]. Throughout his life, Dick worked to preserve the legacy of Cline — who died in a plane crash on March 5th, 1963, at age 30 — as one of the most influential singers in country music. In 1980, the Loretta Lynn biopic Coal Miner's Daughter renewed interest in the "Crazy" singer and her catalog. Five years later, Jessica Lange portrayed the singer in Sweet Dreams, with actor Ed Harris playing Charlie Dick. The real Charlie critized the film for some of its glaring discrepancies. He would continue to be an active participant and advisor in Cline documentaries and other projects throughout his life. While Cline was alive, Dick worked at a printing shop in Nashville and also served as his wife's road manager. Charlie Dick, a man who was very much responsible for helping to keep to artistic legacy of his late wife intact over the years, died in his sleep Sunday morning (Nov. 8, 2015). He was 81. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Skinbat Scramble | Forged around the friendship of Mark Eason and Fergus Crockford, but with ever changing line-ups, flowing in and out during misspent youths, self-taught playing, falling in and out of bands, travelling that well-worn journey from Home Counties boredom to the excitement of a rough edged London, taking in as much music as possible, from Motown on to the The Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Gong and Fripp & Eno, before Dr Feelgood, Eddie & The Hotrods and a dose of John Peel led to discovering Dub and Punk and witnessing that short-lived burst of creativity at the Roxy Club, Marquee or Vortex and exploring back to early Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and old Surf’n’Soul, alongside the likes of Wire and Suicide. As the Post-Punk sounds mixed simultaneously with Two-Tone, local Art College gave way to university and the early struggles of finding a way in the late 70s / early 80s of Thatcher’s Britain. Music was central, Skinbat Scramble finally appearing, morphing from numerous teen bands, early studio excursions of tape loops and effects leading to the first recording sessions in 1981. The slower tempos, introspection, open structures, and shimmering experimentation of Post Punk were pivotal. John Foxx’s early Ultravox, Siouxsies’ “Lord’s Prayer” period and The Electric Chairs seminal “So Many Ways”, influenced to a freer future. PIL, ACR, Section 25 and Pink Military let imaginations briefly roam. ‘Far out and weird’, those first recordings made at Leeds Uni’s Fine Arts Dept utilized Revoxes, Tandberg, MiniMoog and even a borrowed drummer. This was followed up with completed sessions at Elephant Studios in London, forming the basis of a myriad of music that was unreleased for 20 years but is now seeing the light of day, first in a series of compilation CDs and a 2 x LP on Emotional Rescue. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Heralders' Quartet | "The Heralders Quartet was formed when four young men whose lives were committed to Christ, started singing together spontaneously one night, just for fun. In just a few years their sound has become a very familiar one throughout Michigan and elsewhere in the Mid-West. Many of their recordings can be heard at any time of the day or night on a variety of radio stations or on television. Their excellent results have been achieved only through long hours of practice and very hard work. The splendid blend of their voices in the singing of Gospel Hymns has added new dimensions and freshness to the beautiful thoughts found in the songs. They have a message to sing because each one of them has experienced the faithfulness of God in his own life; 'For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me'. It is the hope and prayer of each quartet member that the message expressed through the songs on this, their latest recording, will inspire every listener to greater faith and devotion to the Christ they love and serve." - - Rev. Philip J. Koster (from "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" album liner notes) | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Jahfa Culture | Jahfa Culture was born in Sheffield, UK and currently resides in the Tampa Bay Region of Florida, USA. His earliest musical influence began at the age of 14 as a drummer with reggae band “Inner Strength” and his earliest singing inspiration started with Dennis Brown. He started performing across the Yorkshire and Midlands territories at the age of 15. In his late teens after arriving on the scene in London and learning about music and the reggae industry he received great vocal advice from Neil Fraser AKA Mad Professor, producer at Ariwa Records (London) and Jah Shaka (London) which he still uses today. In 1986 Jahfa Culture teamed up with Jah Tubby’s (London) to produce the soundman anthem and now highly sought-after “Listen to We”. Since then Jahfa Culture has worked with Rootsman Carl from the Roots Connection (London) producing “Commando Commando” & “Baby I Love You” (1987), Mike Maverick with Action Records (Nottingham) producing the singles “When I See You Cry” & “Party Time”, produced the collaboration album “Truth, Justice & the Raggamuffin Way”, worked with Speng Gorgon in Sheffield producing “Rain From the Skies” and self-produced “I’m Gonna Make Sure” on Commando Records (Sheffield), backed by The Steel City’s Mighty Mosiah Warrior band. Jahfa Culture has also performed with various soundsystems such as Young Rebel (London) and Kumasi Warrior (Sheffield). In 2003 he founded “Freestyle Vocals” based out of Sheffield, UK and has since expanded the business into the Tampa Bay Region, USA. He has taught well over 2,000 singers from various parts of the UK and beyond, covering a wide array of diverse musical styles and received his Certification in Vocal Studies at Sheffield University. Moving forward into 2012 and Jahfa Culture is still going strong; Look out for the release of “Revelation Time” in September 2012, produced by Crucial Steve at Righteous Works (London) and written by Jahfa Culture, voiced at Pedro EA Production in St. Petersburg, FL and lyrically inspired by the times in which we are living in.
