Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Wizzards Of Rock | Wizzards Of Rock (MC Sheeck and B-Boy Hutch) | Sheeck has been in the Hip Hop game since the 80's. He was an original member of the infamous group “Above The Law”, doing production on several tracks and having a highly influential impact on the group. Due to contractual disagreements, Sheeck and Above The Law parted ways as a group. As Above The Law continued on, Sheeck stayed busy behind the scenes producing and writing for himself, Above The Law and other groups alike. Through a long journey in the music industry, often taking a back seat on his own career, Sheeck has since emerged with his solo album “UnderGround Hog” , released in 2007, with the first single “Crazy” featuring Suga Free. After hooking back up with fellow Pomona producer, Tony “TouchTone” Isaac, the two collaborated on a few tracks and Sheeck followed through with his own production on the rest of the album. Not only showing the mastery of his music production skills, Sheeck displays an ability like no other on his lyrical style and content. Once you hear his music, you can clearly see that this artist is a seasoned vet and not a newcomer to Hip Hop. Sheeck is now part of a NEW group entitled Dreaded. The Album will release early 2011, while the first sneak peek song is on Youtube entitled "Krooked Letter'r" performed by Rickshaw with Sheeck doing the spoken word. The new project is "conscience" music, meant to stimulate the mind and teach knowledge unlike the brainless mind music out today. |

Search | Add | 3 | The University of Virginia Glee Club | The Virginia Glee Club is a critically acclaimed men’s chorus based at the University of Virginia. It performs both traditional and contemporary vocal works, typically in TTBB arrangements. Founded in 1871, the Glee Club is the University’s oldest musical organization and one of the oldest all-male collegiate vocal ensembles in the United States. It is currently conducted by Frank Albinder. The Virginia Glee Club was founded in 1871 as the Cabell House Men. In the 1893–1894 session of the University, the Glee Club was combined with other extant student musical groups to form the Glee, Banjo, and Mandolin Club, a more permanent organization, with professor of mathematics (and University Chapel organist) Harrison Randolph as the director. During this period, the group toured major Southern cities annually, playing to standing room only crowds in Richmond and traveling as far afield as Atlanta, St. Louis. and Memphis, according to contemporary accounts, donating the profits to the Athletic Association of the University of Virginia. The group continued to perform and tour the South through the early 1900s; they are recorded as visiting Atlanta on tour under the direction of a student, John Shishmanian, in October 1905, and a contemporary letter attests to their existence in that fall 1905. After the fall of 1905, the group disbanded and reformed periodically; University historian Philip Alexander Bruce indicates it disbanded in 1905, then reformed in 1910–1911 and began to perform again. The group went on hiatus for a year in the fall of 1912, citing “disadvantageous circumstances” with the hope of reforming later. It apparently did reform in late 1913 or early 1914, based on a January 1914 photo of the group. Finally, in January 1915, it was reorganized under the leadership of Professor Alfred Lawrence (A.L.) Hall-Quest (professor of educational psychology); Hall-Quest is said to have modeled the group after the glee club of his alma mater, Princeton University. Since 1915, the Virginia Glee Club has been in continuous existence as a men’s chorus at the University. From the 1920s into the 1980s, the Glee Club enjoyed an association with the McIntire Department of Music through a series of directors who were members of the music faculty, including Arthur Fickenscher, Harry Rogers Pratt, Stephen Tuttle, Donald Macinnis, and Donald Loach. The group was viewed as an educational resource that enhanced other offerings; a course catalog from the 1920s offered students in the Composition class the opportunity to have their works performed by the Glee Club. During the 1940s, the Glee Club worked with composer in residence Randall Thompson when director Stephen Tuttle commissioned Thompson to write The Testament of Freedom, a setting of Thomas Jefferson’s words about liberty, for the Virginia Glee Club. In the later years of Tuttle’s tenure, the Glee Club recorded an album with RCA of traditional university songs, accompanied by the University of Virginia Band. In 1953, members of the Glee Club formed the Virginia Gentlemen, the oldest a cappella group at UVA, which originated as a performing subset of the Glee Club and became an independent organization in the 1980s. The 1960s and 1970s found the group developing a specialty in Renaissance music under the direction of University professor Donald Loach, who developed a countertenor section within the group to meet the demands of the polyphonic style. At this time the group performed on national and international stages, including a performance at the State Department for the Washington Diplomatic Corps Banquet in 1968, the only college glee club to be so honored at the time. In 1971, the Z Society gave the Glee Club its Organization Award in recognition of its concerts, the recording of its album A Shadow’s on the Sundial, and its pending first European tour. The group toured Europe in 1972, funding the trip with individual and community contributions, as well as profits from their 1972 recording, A Shadow’s on the Sundial. In 1989, the Virginia Glee Club became a Contracted Independent Organization, with substantial assistance from Gilbert J. Sullivan and the UVA Alumni Association, when the Music Department moved unilaterally to combine it with the Virginia Women’s Chorus into a mixed choir, which would have eliminated the Glee Club’s independent identity.

Taking inspiration from the 80's heavy glam and the wildest 70's punk, the band released a self-produced demo-cd "...Still Waiting For The Extinction" in 2005, and a single MCD, under Jetglow Recordings, "Lullaby For Annihilation" in 2008, gaining great consideration from public, press and specialists throughout Europe, playing in the Italian peninsula even supporting some of their most loved bands ever. The first full-length album "Tales For A Sweet Demise" was released by Jetglow Recordings in 2010. Now the band is working hard on new songs for their second album that will be released in early 2014.

Search | Add | 3 | The Gas House Gorillas | Another daft name for a band, this time comprising Rick Fink on lead vocals, Crusher Carmean on bass, Oscar Rodriguez on guitar and Eddie Everett on drums. There’s is an interesting sound, as at heart they’re a jump blues band. But one that has a lot of aggression to it, and a rough and ready approach, which might put some people off. But there is a vim and vigor which wins you over on tunes like ‘Party on the Second Floor’ and ‘The Things That Swings’. It’s a mix of jump blues, rock and roll, and even a pop punk edge, which I would imagine rocks the house when they take to the stage. But even from the comfort of my rocking chair, they managed to raise a smile.

Search | Add | 3 | The Lazy Eggs | Formed in Detroit by Tom Carson, the band began as TC and the Good Guys -- along with guitarist Gary Praeg, drummer/keyboardist Sam Moceri, bassist Clem Riccobono, and guitarist Tom Pointe, and drummer Bob Krause among its members. Ron Koss -- who recorded with Wilson Pickett, Merv Johnson, and Hank Ballard -- was a brief member. Tom Carson, along with former Lazy Eggs’ Clem Riccobono and Sam Moceri, founded Detroit’s Fiddlers Music in 1970. Dealing in instrument sales and rentals, as well as recording and releasing private press singles and albums, Fiddlers closed its doors in 1980. Gary Praeg founded his own facility, Cloudborn Studios, in the mid-’70s and recorded light-rock and jazz-influenced albums as Shivers and Dove Grey. Ron Koss’s next band, the heavier Savage Grace, reached the U.S. Billboard Top 200 in 1970 with the single “Come on Down” issued on the Reprise label. The Fiddlers label/studios hosted many session during its 10 year tenure: one of those bands was the Happy Dragon projected fronted by Tommy Court, who designed Fiddlers recording studios. Tom Carson appeared as a studio musician on many of those recordings.
