Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Han Epskamp | Han Epskamp | Life-work is a musical project founded by Dutch songwriter Han Epskamp, the name coming from songwriting being his life's work and also stating that the topics of the songs deal with life in general. When producer Tim Ellis asked him late 2009 if he could use some help on the production of his songs it resulted in the first recording, the ballad 'Wonder where you are' with soprano Karen Orchin. Han liked her voice so much that she recorded a second song: 'My heart', which was remixed by Pete Hammond and got to number 4 in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart in October 2010. Afterwards 'Wonder where you are' was also remixed by Pete Hammond in a dance version and got to number 2 in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart in February 2011. 'You won't see my tears' then was especially written for Karen's voice, reaching Music Week's Commercial Pop Club Chart at 25 in September 2011. The fourth single 'Lost in Time' followed and now the fifth production is ready: 'Woman of Secrets'. The Club Junkies Club Mix already entered the 21st position in the Euro-HiNRG Top 50 club chart even before it's release. Last year the reggae track 'Dolce Far Niente'was released. Currently Life-work is preparing an album. |

In "Absequence", Padoan's devastating Rhythmic Noise meets, merges and blends with Bellucci's polished IDM-Techno Ambient, giving life to nine tracks of pure electronic delirium. The album's target is to explore the possibilities offered by the meeting of two well-defined characters, who search for a communal code of expression, largely represented by intricate rhythmic textures and very refined and elaborate sounds. An extremely dangerous experience! |

Search | Add | 3 | Matt Mirenda | After six years as a DJ and four as a music producer, he decides to continue his artistic career as Matt Mirenda, stopping using [a=Matijay] as a pseudonym. Matt Mirenda leaves behind the techno and minimal sounds that For years they have accompanied them, keeping them as a memory among the most beautiful experiences that they have lived in the course of their career to this day, as well as the support that great artists have given them such as: Carl Cox, Dubfire, Joy Kitikonti, and so on. Not forgetting Richie Hawtin, that he has mixed in one of his live shows “Stefano Franca – Carousel (Matijay's Extreme Remix)“. The Argentine tour (September 2012 – March 2013) is definitely the main cause of the change. The influences of the progressive genre in an underground style, soon become a true philosophy of life for the artist. In search of the best arpeggio, ever more rolling grooves and melodies that leave listeners in a state of "mental trip", Matt Mirenda begins to live in a totally uncontrolled way. Together with an Argentine musician and composer friend, he works every night until lunchtime, resting during the day, during those moments when the frenzy of the world leaves no room for inspirations and the purest arts. Everything starts again at 9:00 p.m. :00 in the afternoon. The mates are too sugary, the alfajores, the invoices, the asado, the pizzas, the fernet and the bottles of beer are elements that are always present during this period of experimentation. The results arrive immediately, after returning to Europe, Matt Mirenda signs contracts with several record companies already dedicated to the world of progressive and deep house, such as: OLD SQL Recordings, Mistique Music, and several sub-labels of Proton Music. Now, the waves of the sea steal land from the sandy desert, and the strong ocher color leaves space for the green of the forests and orchards, but, like a rushing river, it follows inspiration.

Search | Add | 3 | Easy Morph | Born in Rouen, Normandy, the duo Easy Morph used to make people dance in clubs before they were even allowed to get in. Together since the age of 12, the duo experienced some emulation among themselves which led them to explore the genres of electronic music, and especially techno. The logical consequence was the creation of the duo a few years later in order to exploit this connection, at first for dj sets and then for production. In their sets as in their production, they like to hear the rolling sub and the kick on time, a powerful and compelling binary techno punctuated by dark soundscapes, sometimes melancholic accompanied by saturated synths brushing against acidity.

Search | Add | 3 | Attilio Poto | Clarinetist, conductor, and music educator (1915 - July 23, 2003). Attilio Poto was born in Boston in 1915 but moved with his family to Italy shortly thereafter, returning to Boston at the age of nine. As a very young man, he played clarinet in a Festival Band in Boston's North End, in a WPA orchestra, and in Boston's Youth Orchestra, conducted by Koussevitzky's nephew, Fabian Sevitzky. At 24, Poto went to New York City to play in the National Orchestral Association, a training orchestra, and to study conducting with its conductor, [a=Leon Barzin], who had played under Toscanini and absorbed Toscanini's baton technique. In 1939 Poto was solo clarinet with the [a=The Metropolitan Opera House Orchestra] for all the German repertory. Upon returning to Boston in 1940 he conducted the Massachusetts State Symphony in numerous concerts before enlisting in the Air Force in 1942. He played in the 628th Air Force Band until resuming civilian life in 1946. That same year he studied conducting with Koussevitzky at [l=Tanglewood (3)]. In 1949 he was engaged as second clarinet in the BSO under [a=Serge Koussevitzky] and, later, [a=Charles Munch]. As such, he participated in some of Koussevitzky's most memorable performances: the great Strauss Death and Transfiguration, the legendary Brahms First Piano Concerto with [a=Myra Hess] (both fortunately preserved as airchecks from the respective broadcasts), and various commercial recordings, including Don Juan, the Siegfried Idyll and the Brahms Fourth Symphony. In 1950 he began teaching clarinet and conducting at the Boston Conservatory, retiring in 1992, after 42 years. He died in Boston on July 23, 2003 at the age of 88.
