Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Guten Tag Czech alternative rock band. Guten Tag from Northern Bohemia became a club and cult legend at its time, and their only CD Maso (Flesh) is the time capsule of the era. Guten Tag clearly sprung from the best traditions of the Czech underground and (then) young musicians added unusual dose of flair and energy. Certain music journalist described the band as darker and more off-beat [a=Už jsme doma] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. We would describe them more as a crossover of [a=Dog Eat Dog] with original [a=Garáž] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. However, I just realized - where were Dog Eat Dog when Guten Tag were already blasting the music from the stage? Since the shows were a real musical assault, the CD was titled Maso (Flesh) with a subtitle “hudba/music” to eliminate any possibility that some dorks could confuse it with a product of meat industry. The cover was designed by now also legendary [a=Luboš Drtina]. Leader of the band [a=Petr Mikolášek] later performed under the name [a=Significant Brother], then also in project [a=Significant Other].

Search Add 3 Pridhvi Sunain Zoro With a background that spans creative storytelling, data-driven insight, and military discipline, Zoro crafts emotionally charged projects that confront modern disconnection and reawaken empathy in an age of automation. A graduate of UC Berkeley with honors and a member of the U.S. Air Force, Zoro's art explores identity, social systems, and the human condition — merging sound, visuals, and narrative with deep thematic intent. His debut concept album, MAHA (Make America Human Again), is a cinematic journey from systemic collapse and personal grief to collective redemption. Across ten tracks — from the defiant energy of “F$$king Dance” to the reflective soul-searching of “Live Beyond” — Zoro fuses electronic, pop rock, and orchestral textures with lyrical storytelling that questions capitalism, ego, and emotional alienation. Each work functions as both critique and cure — challenging listeners to confront the mechanical in themselves and rediscover what it means to be human again.

After winning the African Hip-Hop producer of the year, in 2004, at the tender age of 19, his influence in the South African Hip-Hop industry escalated to great heights, crafting 'classic' material for some of South Africa's top acts. Having worked with the likes of [a=Zubz], [a=Tumi], Optical Illusion, [a=Proverb], Prokid, [a=Rattex], [a=Damola], [a=Blaklez] and Ill-Literate-Skill just to name a few. He's also produced tracks for acts across the African Continent, and a host of international acts, including [a=Main Flow] from the legendary Cincinnati Hip Hop group [a=MOOD]. His strength lies in his ability to delve from genre to genre without losing the quality in music that he strongly stands for. In Addition to his commercial music production, he's also been known to score the occasional television add, with Castle Lager, and VW's City Golf as past clients.

Born Borgercompagnie (Veendam) September 26, 1879 – died Amersfoort February 27, 1972). He also used the alias: Jean Duverre. Van der Glas was educated in military music at the 1e Regiment Infanterie of Assen, by that time conducted by bandmaster Friedrich H.E. Bicknese. From 1905 to 1911 he was the conductor at Heerenveens Muziekcorps. In 1911 Van der Glas was appointed bandmaster at 3e Regiment Infanterie of Bergen op Zoom. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Muziekvereniging NEO Rucphen he wrote one of his most famous compositions, "De Feestmars", which has been published on gramophone records several times. As a result of severe cuts made to the military bands his Stafmuziek van het 3e Regiment Infanterie was phased out as well. Van der Glas was transferred to the [a8359971] of Amersfoort. Search Add 3 Ludwig Wittbrodt The Duo Ludwig Wittbrodt, that‘s Emily Wittbrodt on cello and Edis Ludwig on laptop and drums. The two develop a thicket of sounds and melodies that absorbs us in a completely unpretentious way and fills us with associations and warmth. Sometimes in the jungle, sometimes under water in the desert, we are reminded of the achievements of both Krautrock and Neue Musik, of early electronic music as well as Drone and Ambient. At first glance, Emily and Edis seem to be an unequal couple. She has an academic background as a cellist, he is self-taught with his main instrument being computer and programming. She is active in Free Jazz, he drums with the rock band Düsseldorf Düsterboys. On the other hand, both have been active in the Free Improv scene in the German Rhine-Ruhr region for years - for example in ensembles such as The Dorf or Hilde (Emily) and Nasssau or Transport (Edis).

Search Add 3 A. F. Thaviu Tevye Feiman American conductor (1876-1945) based in Chicago. Alexander Francis Thaviu was director of an early 20th century concert band that was described as “International” or a “world famed Russian band.” Indeed, many of his recordings from the late 1910s were marketed to Czech, Italian, Polish, and Swedish audiences, but others were military marches and patriotic (American) tunes. “Thaviu” was born Tevye Feiman to Abraham and Rachel Feiman in Zvenigorodka, a town south of Kiev, Ukraine in 1876. The family, which included six children, emigrated to the United States around 1890, and by the 1900s had settled in Canton, OH. Within a few years, Thaviu, a cornet player, found himself in Chicago leading a popular band and “company of Russian singers and dancers,” and became prominent on the Chautauqua Circuit, a kind of ‘adult education’ alternative to vaudeville, popular in the first half of the 20th century. At the time, a newspaper described Thaviu as “that little bundle of nerves, energy and genius.” His son, Samuel Thaviu, was born in Chicago, and became an acclaimed violinist, concert master and music professor at Northwestern University. In the early 1920s, the family returned to Canton for a few years, where Samuel passed his early high school years, and a newspaper referred to Tevye as “Prof. Thaviu Feiman.” Samuel eventually became concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and in November of 1945, A. F. Thaviu passed away while visiting his son there. Thaviu and his wife, Ida, are buried in Canton.

The idea was to make some more progressive rock music than his former band, Gas Giant. He brought together Thomas the bass player form Gas Giant, Magnus (of the space rock band Mantric Muse), Icelandic drummer Helge and vocalist extraordinaire Mickael, who came from the Copenhagen singer-songwriter scene. The mixture proved to be a powerful mix of heavy rock with a progressive rock element mixed with formidable vocals. The album was recorded at the Black Tornado, Area22 and The Famous Putting shop studios in Copenhagen in 2009. It was mixed at the Elberlab Studio by David Elberling and Stefan Krey. All the music was written and arranged by Stefan Krey and the lyrics by Mickael Petersen. Being born in Berlin, vctr (acronym for both "Victor" and "vicious trax") has been influenced since his early youth by the dark sides, diverse lifestyles and subcultures of his hometown. vctr began producing in the early 2000s, under the name "p0lytox" and was mostly into producing Hip-Hop instrumentals and Psytrance for a long period of time before discovering his love for Techno. His music is characterized by its hard-hitting rhythms and psychedelic soundscapes and can be considered as a reflection of his creative vision and his approach in producing, which he sums up with: "I want to produce music I'd like to dance to myself." The tracks often feature elements of hip hop and psychedelic trance, which gives them a unique edge while he is always exploring new worlds of sound and trying to push his boundaries. His love for many different styles of music is the reason to release under a multitude of aliasses (some are:vicioustrax, vlrk, vctr, louis kay, Papy Louis, p0lytox). In all the years producing, he has honed his craft and developed a unique style that has won him a following among a small loyal circle of technoheads from his hometown Berlin. - For booking requests please write an e-mail to: bookingsvctracks@gmail.com

Search Add 3 Leikfélag MH Leikfélag MH This production of The Rocky Horror Show was put on by a group of college students at Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð ("MH") in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1991. The entirety of the album is in Icelandic, translated by Veturliði Guðnason. Four years later another production would be put on in Reykjavík, this time by a professional theatre company at Flugfélagið Loftur Theatre. Almost all of the same translations would be used though, with the singular exception of "Laugardagskvöld" (Hot Patootie) which was completely reimagined as an ode to death metal instead. The 1991 version is more traditional, with Eddie playing his "saxófónninn" and really loving that "rokk og ról". The 1995 Icelandic cast put out a cast album also. Search Add 3 Andy Scott Rosen Andrew Scott Rosen A New York-based jazz-influenced singer-songwriter crooner and multi-talented guitarist/pianist, Andy has a touch for writing a fine melody and composing songs with an infectious rhythm. His father was former major league baseball star [a5205013]. Although this singer-songwriter had early pop success under the stage name "Goat" when his 1996 single "Great Life" landed in a feature film, enjoying the financial rewards that come with being on a major label, his fame was fleeting. He now tends to hang out with jazz musicians, as most of the players on his more recent CDs have significant jazz credentials. He often shares the stage, performing with jazz singer/musician [a397911]. Andy's style of jazz material is fairly lighthearted and easy-going swing, with songs that sometimes echo jazz standards, and singing them in a voice that is not exactly operatic in quality.
