Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He also assisted on the 'Secret Agent X-9' comic. Lehti eventually moved to comic book art and joined the staff of National Periodicals (the future DC Comics). There, he worked on features like 'The Crimson Avenger', 'Sgt. O'Malley of the Redcoat Patrol', 'Steve Conrad, Adventurer' and 'Cotton Carver'. In the spring of 1946, Lehti sold his comic strip 'Tommy of the Big Top' to King Features, which ran until 1950. With the strip's demise, he returned to DC to draw 'Big Town' and 'Tarzan'. In the early 1950s, Lehti switched to Western, where he illustrated stories with 'Lassie', 'Tom Corbet, Space Cadet' and 'Flash Gordon'. Lehti sold 'Tales from the Great Book' to Publishers Syndicate in 1954. It became a Sunday feature for many newspapers and ran until 1972. John Lehti returned to DC once again and worked on 'Sgt. Rock' and 'The Losers' in the mid-1970s. He retired in the 1980s.

In fact, AROCK has recently worked behind the scenes in the studio as an aspiring but ambitious music producer, all while continuing to cultivate his existing businesses, which are currently expanding, outward from San Diego and into the Los Angeles area. Search Add 4 Lyr-x-ist In 2003 Kalo/Are-tistik returned to Saskatoon to form the group Lyr-x-st with Atrium and Aposle. It happened on David Knight Cresent, outside of Atriums house, near his cucumber fields. Lyr-x-ist released it first cd entitled Lyriks Exist in November 2003, creating a buzz around the city for its unique sound. Lyr-x-ist headlined various events and venues around Saskatoon such as the Odeon Events Centre and the Jazz Basement. Lyr-x-ist first public performance was headlining a fashion show. In August 2004, Lyr-x-ist released its first professionally pressed sophomore album entitled The Krossing. Lyr-x-ist released the album to a capacity crowd at the Odeon Events Centre in March 2005. Opening for Lyr-X-ist was ‘Dro’ of Canadian rap group ‘Rezofficial’. To date this show remains one of the largest local talent hiphop shows in Saskatchewan history, and made the Odeon a respectable hiphop venue. In the summer of 2005, Are-tis-tik, Atrium and Aposle, moved to Calgary to record their third studio album. Within 30 days they had recorded 32 songs. In August 2005, they released half of these songs on Chapter one: Riders of the North. This album received critical acclaim and international recognition in German magazines, being compared to fellow Canadian recording artists Swollen Members. Lyr-x-ist performed several shows in Saskatoon to promote the album at the Odeon Events Centre and Jazz Basement. Chapter 2 was released digitally. The Final Chapter is completed and we hope to release it sometime.

Search Add 4 Los Jemax Los Jemax Albert Puig, Andreu Ferreres, Joan Pujol, Miquel Griño and Xavier Amela, five friends from Barcelona, shared their talent to create Los Jemax in the mid-sixties. They played their own songs and covers of the bands they listened to the international radio stations, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, The Animals, Wilson Pickett… Their gigs in clubs and discotheques (San Carlos Club, Gogo, Peter’s Club…) were amazing and full of energy. They became a very popular band in their city, specially when they were the winners of a contest hosted by Radio Barcelona. The prize was a contract with Columbia to release two singles. They recorded four songs under the direction of José María Solá, the musical boss of the label. There were published three postcards to promote the upcoming 7”s. But all of them were never released because of intern changes in Columbia. Los Jemax played alongside Los Canarios, Lone Star, Los Sirex, Tete Montoliu, Palito Ortega, Micky y los Tonis… and in several TV commercials. With a repertoire of almost 100 songs that they recorded in the rehearsals at the attic of Joan’s family house, the tapes have been ketp in a drawer for 50 years.
