Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Burn Inside Based in the west coast of Tuscany BURN INSIDE is active since 2005 with the first lineup already formed by Tommi (bass), Federico (drums) and Roberto (guitar). After the release of two Ep between 2008 and 2009 the band recruited Marco on second guitar and Gigi Lopre on vocals, to replace the departure of Ale. Burn Inside began work on the new songs that are recorded in the third Ep “Primordial State” in the summer of 2010. The true musical identity came out and sound became more mature, aggressive and louder than past, strongly inspired by many of the American metal band of the last 20 years. What comes out is a no-frills, powerful, restless, furious metal, able to involve the audience in live sets full of rage and passion. Right now the band is working on new songs for the first studio album planned for summer 2012.

Search Add 2 Dietmar Grieser Dietmar Grieser, * March 9, 1934 Hanover, writer, journalist. Dietmar Grieser grew up with two older brothers in Upper Silesia and the Saar Palatinate. After finishing school and the early death of his father († 1952), he studied journalism and social sciences at the universities of Münster, Munich and Vienna. Grieser has lived in Vienna since 1957 and became an Austrian citizen in 1979. Grieser initially worked as a journalist, but soon emerged as a writer. In his 50 or so books, Grieser deals extensively with biographical and topographical issues in Austrian and world literature. His first work published as a paperback, “Vom Schloß Gripsholm zum River Kwai” (1973), brought him significant success. In it, he traced the locations of the plots of famous novels. This was followed in 1974 by the literary travel guide “Schauplätze österreichischer Dichtung” and in 1976 by the sequel “Schauplätze der Weltliteratur”. In 1978 he published “Piroschka, Sorbas & Co”, a book about the archetypes of literary figures, and in 1980 “Irdische Götter”, in which modern idols and the cult surrounding them are portrayed. From then on, he continued to publish texts on literary characters and setting research at short intervals. The author's deep attachment to his adopted home is expressed in book titles such as “Eine Liebe in Wien” (1989), “Alle Wege führen nach Wien” (1997) and the autobiographical “Das gibt's nur in Wien” (2012). In “Geliebtes Geschöpf. Animals that made history” (2016), he dealt with celebrities and their animals or prominent animals, in ”Was bleibt, ist die Liebe. From Beethoven's mother to Kafka's bride” (2018), he explored different types of love using the example of well-known personalities. In 2022, he published the anthology “Beloved Ukraine”, a very personal homage to a country he traveled to in the 1970s. Most recently, he published “Es muss was Wunderbares sein ... Das Salzkammergut und seine Künstler”. Dietmar Grieser has also worked for radio and television, for example for the television series “Schauplätze der Weltliteratur” and “Köpfe”, the first part of which was broadcast in 1991. In 1993, together with Dietmar Grieser, the Vienna City Hall Library presented the exhibition “Am Ort der Handlung. Locations of World Literature” at Palais Palffy. In 2004, Dietmar Grieser's literary estate was acquired by the Austrian National Library.

Search Add 2 Flygvapnets Musikkår I Stockholm Swedish military band, Flygvapnets musikkår i Stockholm, originally Kungliga Svea flygflottiljs musikkår, operated in various forms between 1943 and 1961. The band was founded in 1943 as the band at the Svea Air Force (F 8) in Barkarby and after only a few years became the only air force band in the Stockholm area. In connection with the 1956 music organization, the band was reorganized into the Swedish Air Force Band in Stockholm under the Air Force Band, and in the next reform that came into effect in 1961, the band was de-prioritized and closed down. During most of the band's existence, 1943-1958, it was led by music director Bertil Wiklander.
