Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Juan Pablo Cobo | The art of quick and forceful verses is the talent of Juan Pablo Cobo, better known as Guanaco MC. The artist has 20 years of experience in rap and Ecuadorian hip-hop and is considered a benchmark of the urban genre. Its artistic name derives from the mammal of the páramo, what remembers in its name its place of birth, the Andean city of Ambato. And these are the scenarios that they like to promote in their videos. His last single The original was recorded on the slopes of Pichincha in the traditional neighborhood of La Primavera in Quito. For the rapper the music industry is difficult but he cares about art, what to say. "The driving force of my music is not commerce, but rather a search and a need. Many times what I do does not come from logic but from caprice. For example, vinyl was imported from France, but it could be easier to record it on a CD or upload it to streaming platforms. " | |

Connecting over a shared love of synths and the simple fact that they were the only two non-musicians in the room, Jones and Hook struck up a friendship. Nearly a decade after their first meeting, the two finally decided to get in the studio together, in late 2014. Guided by a simple premise—no judgement—and a whole lot of psychedelic adventuring, the pair went to work, letting their unconscious lead the way as they pieced together a complex suite of field recordings and modular synth transmissions.

| Search | Add | 2 | Shiny Jets | [a=Shiny Jets] is an experimental rock band formed in Chicago in 2004. The band began when drummer [a=Tucker Slough] encountered Singer/Guitarist [a=Shanté Clair] performing at a party thrown by a mutual friend in the Rogers Park area. The two struck up a friendship and began trying to incorporate Tucker's drumming into Shanté's existing solo project, [a=The Maybe]. Soon they began writing new songs and pushing their musical ideas further, incorporating looping pedals and other electronics until they had compiled a number of songs. Some time afterwards, Tucker moved back to his hometown of Kansas City and Shanté left Chicago to live in New York for a number of years. Around 2014, the two began working on new songs together, with Shanté writing songs that Tucker would then add drums parts to and send back via Dropbox. Within a short time the material they were creating began to take shape and discussions began about re-establishing the band. In March of 2015 Shanté packed up and moved to Kansas City to begin work on the project that would assume the moniker Shiny Jets. Incorporating songs written back in Chicago and those songs written long distance between New York and Kansas City, the two began adding layers of sampling and further experimentation with even more complex looping and arrangements. Currently Shiny Jets rehearses, performs and records based out of Kansas City. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Laura Beard | Laura Renee Beard | Laura Beard (6 October 1979, El Paso — 23 March 1997, Fabens, El Paso County, Texas) was an American bassist, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, best known as the co-founder of post-hardcore/emo/punk band [a=The Fall On Deaf Ears] in 1996 with [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala] of [a=At The Drive-In] and [a=Clint Newsom] (from [a=Rhythm Of Black Lines] and [a=The Hades Kick]). Laura extensively collaborated with her lifelong friend, [a=Sarah Reiser], who played guitar in the FODE. One of their earliest joint projects, Rope, became the first "all-women" band to reach acclaim on the predominantly male West Texas punk scene. Laura and Sarah played in other local bands and published a feminist "riot grrrl" zine, Femme Fatale, together. They died in a single car accident at only 17; Bixler and Newsom posthumously published surviving material and dedicated a few songs and records to them. Beard grew up in El Paso, where she began making music with her childhood friend, [a=Sarah Reiser], in the early teens. They co-founded "Rope" and joined "The Glitter Girls," an all-girl punk group formed by Laura's classmate, Kristin Woodward; she invited [a=Clint Newsom], whose cousin Amanda also joined this band, to one of the practices, where he met and befriended Laura and Sarah. As Rope began gaining traction on the local El Paso scene, two friends met [a=Cedric Bixler-Zavala], a prolific drummer and vocalist who co-founded several bands, such as Foss, the [a=Dregtones], and, most notably, [a=At The Drive-In]. Laura and Sarah contributed backing vocals on the ATDI's second 7" single, [m=333386], which came out on Cedric's label [l=Western Breed Records] in 1995 and soon began playing with him. Clint Newsom joined shortly after, and they established [a=The Fall On Deaf Ears]. The band only lasted for several months but was productive, extensively performing live; in May 1996, FODE recorded a five-song demo tape with [a=Mike Major] at [l=Rosewood Studios]. They disbanded amicably by the late Fall, playing the last show at The Rugburn in El Paso. In early 1997, Laura again started to make music with Sarah, singing and playing acoustic guitars. The newly-formed duo gave one concert, opening for [a=Long Hind Legs] and [a=Thrones]. They died in a car accident returning home from Austin to El Paso, rolling over and crashing in the ditch near Fabens, Texas — merely 20 miles away from their destination. (The third passenger in the car reportedly survived.) Buried at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, Laura Beard and Sarah Reiser lay under the same tombstone, decorated with a guitar and a ribbon that reads: "Best friends." The same year, Clint Newsom and Cedric Bixler released a commemorative [r=1342860] 7" split on Western Breed, featuring Rope and two FODE tracks on the B-side. The ATDI's third single, [m=45454], and the 7" split by [a=Ex Impetus] and Egon were both dedicated to Sarah and Laura. (Cedric Bixler later wrote the song about the tragic loss, "Napoleon Solo," on ATDI's second album, [m=45460].) In 2002, Newsom arranged a self-titled CD EP release by Fall on Deaf Ears, featuring the band's May 1996 demo, on [l=Post-Parlo Records] based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. |

Their debut album was released to critical acclaim two years later, but the band never truly overcame the prejudices prevailing in both alternative and more traditional rock circles - despite songwriting abilities and a small,, but devoted fan base. Singing Zoo broke up 1994.
