Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | TRAFFIC A.M. | Michael Kissing: Music, Programming Stefan Gonser: Vocals, Lyrics, Programming Being involved in several projects, Michael Kissing and Stefan Gonser met 2007. Exchange of sound bits and points of view resulted in a common project early 2009. The concept was strangely clear from the beginning. The order was to reflect topics like flickering televisions, urban traffic pollution, disaffection, humdrum in everyday life, resulting in despair and a bit of confidence. Without being pathetic. It was no question how the music should sound. A hail to the past combined with a glimpse into the future, dominated by the situation of today. The time is Traffic A.M.

Search | Add | 6 | Aldo Palazzeschi | Aldo Giurlani | Aldo Palazzeschi. 2 February 1885 – 17 August 1974) was the pen name of Aldo Giurlani, an Italian novelist, poet, journalist and essayist. He was born in Florence to a well-off, bourgeois family, and studied accounting and acting before he published his first book of poetry, I cavalli bianchi (in English, The White Horses) in 1905, using his maternal grandmother's surname, Palazzeschi, as a pseudonym. After meeting Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, he became a fervent Futurist. However, he was never entirely ideologically aligned with the movement and had a falling out with the group over Italy's involvement in World War I, which he opposed. His "futurist period" (roughly the 1910s) was a very fecund time in which he published a series of works that cemented his reputation. Most notable of these is his novel Il codice di Perelà (translated into English as Man of Smoke) published in 1911. During the interwar era, his productivity lessened, as he became involved in journalism and other pursuits. Also during this time, he was a notable anti-Fascist. He returned with a series of novels in the late sixties and early seventies that resecured his place in the new, post-war avant-garde. He died in 1974 in his apartment in Rome. Today he is often considered an important influence on later Italian writers, especially those of the neoavanguardia in both prose and verse. His work is well noted by its "grotesque and fantastic elements" |

Ntropy are a Bristol-based duo formed by Carlo Angelucci and Thomas Brun who met in Bristol and decided to start this collaboration project in 2013. Ntropy's main purpose is to explore the darker side of drum and bass and, in order to let the audience familiarise themselves with their sound, the duo launched a series of events in different venues around Bristol (Queen's Head and Cosies) called "Bass Office". Their debut EP, "Trazodrone", was released on Modulate Recordings in 2015. In 2017 the duo played for several events around Europe spanning from Bristol's very own Noise Test nights at Blue Mountain to the stunning landscapes of La Cinta beach at Sun and Bass in Sardinia (Italy). After months locked in the studio working on many tracks, in 2018 the duo releases on Singularity Audio an EP first, "Unbroken", and just a few months later their debut LP, "Goram", which included "Get Dem Wise", a track written with the talented Italian producer Bayou. In 2019 Danger Chamber Digital released two different Ntropy's EPs: “Mydriasis” and "Antabuse", the latter a collaboration EP with Berlin-based amen butcher a.k.a. No_name. 2020 will see Ntropy launching their very own label, Disorder Media, with their first self-released single "Zenith/Nine Times", forthcoming on Bandcamp. |

Even the most casual baile funk fan could pick out his jackhammer electronic productions from a music genre that's often criticised for being rather one-dimensional in format. |

Search | Add | 6 | The Gentle Power Of Song | The Gentle Power of Song has its origins in the chapel choir of Caius College, Cambridge, and a vocal cabaret group Fab Cab in the period 1966 to 1969. The Gentle Power of Song went on to record to LPs and a single for Polydor and was on the artists on the first ever pop music show broadcast in colour nationwide across Britain. in June 1967 that Richard Hill saw Fab Cab and relayed his excitement to Clive Woods at Polydor. Richard Hill and John Hawkins were the composers and impresarios which made the Gabrieli Brass so well known and the stage show Canterbury Tales so successful). Richard could see the value of choral harmonies in a pop setting and he set about creating the concept of the Gentle Power of Song and booking recording studios in the summer for the six singers and the Gabrieli Brass as backing. The single and an album of carols (Peace, Polydor 583017) were both completed before the new term started in September. On November 17 1967 the single (Cat No 56211) was released, Constant Penelope, “based on a medieval poem with a full rhythm backing and swinging harp and brass” reported the Cambridge News. In the spring of 1968 Richard Hill had completed his arrangements of well known vocal pops songs and the boys were back into Chappells recording studio in London’s Mayfair (where Paul McCartney and John Lennon were in the neighbouring mixing studio and listened to the gentle Power of Song pop songs). The result was Circus, also on Polydor, catalogue number 583 034, featuring songs like Rag Doll, This is Dedicated to the One I Love, Till There Was You and a couple of originals by Hill and Hawkins (Jonathan Mortimer Brown and She’s a Lady). Pre-promotion for the June 1968 release included another nationwide TV appearance, on BBC 2 Late Night Line Up on February 22 1968, the first pop music show to be shown in colour.
