Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Hieronymus Bogs | Alexander Talavera | Hieronymus Bogs’s eclectic blend of orchestral folk, spoken word, and performance art nearly evades traditional classification altogether. During one of his intimate performances, you might find the bearded Bogs kneeling penitently, singing, “Lovers, don’t get trapped by illusion,” or someplace offstage beseeching his audience to enter “this half imagined portal.” It’s musical art that’s both unconventional and surprisingly embraceable. Evoking an ancient crooner, Bogs’s voice sits comfortably between Roy Orbison and Scott Walker, with hints of Antony and the Johnsons’s theatricality. Commandingly fusing mystically inspired lyricism and delicately stark instrumentation, his songs set emotions free in an almost hypnotic way. From optimism’s peaks to regret’s chilling depths, his music cycles through potent moods and descriptive imagery, conjuring cinematic landscapes where beggars are clothed, ruins are rebuilt, and beautiful losers waltz through existence. Bogs’s extensive catalog and tireless touring has popularized his unique songcraft and performance style throughout New York and its surrounding areas. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Bogs now resides in Truth or Consequences, NM, a fine muse for his spare poetic aesthetic. |

Search | Add | 6 | Carmy Love | Soul singer Carmy Love launched her solo career in 2021, with her debut 7” single on Big AC Records selling out prior to its official release and gaining praise from Craig Charles (6 Music), Huey Morgan (6 Music), Robert Elms (BBC London) and Norman Jay (Soho Radio) amongst many others. Carmy returns with two sensational new singles this Autumn '22, having once again teamed up with songwriter, Nick Corbin and producer, Mitch Ayling of The Milk. Born and raised in North West London, Carmy had a rich musical upbringing: Her Mother and Step-Father were DJs on several underground stations including Roots, Unique and Flava Radio. The likes of Janet Kay, Louisa Marks and Chaka Khan all featured heavily during her formative years, whilst an early grounding in Gospel singing developed her vocal style and stage craft. Having also sung with Cool Million, PM Warson, Charles and House Gospel Choir, Carmy was also an original member of New Street Adventure, making a major contribution to “No Hard Feelings” - NSA’s debut album on Acid Jazz - with her stunning backing vocals elevating the record to modern soul classic status.

Search | Add | 6 | Bakû Dub | French artist from Paris, active in music and artworks. "Bakû 獏 (dub) is dedicated to creating a universe in her image (cyb3rdub): ethereal, dark and unique, at the border of genres, constantly evolving according to her musical explorations and encounters (She regularly collaborates with Jael, Ramiya and Kodama, and has recently created the HAZE collective with Awoga, Hermit, Jael and Ramiya). Electronic sounds (techno, house, midtempo, cyberpunk, acid and bass music), all tinged with a melodic and dystopian dub, so many influences that allow her to push her limits and continue her contemplative journey in this unknown world." Search | Add | 6 | DJ Cam-One | Cameron Bolling | DJ Cam_One of Mystery Sound Recordings, Beat.Clause.It_Studios and Linden Tree Mastering. I am DJ Cam_One born Cameron Bolling and have been into music since an early age. I started singing in chorus and playing trumpet in elementary school and continued throughout middle school. At the age of 13 I started making mixtapes for friends using two cassette tape recorders. During this time my sister Rachel was dating DC radio and club Hip-Hop extraordinaire DJ Iran. Since then my life was never the same. In 1995, two years later I bought my first turntable from a pawnshop and paid with change. For the next three years I would practice my scratching, mixing and mixtapes skills. In 1998, I joined a Funk band called Bakufu using my turntables as added percussion to the group. Bakufu disbanded a few months later and I joined a DJ collective called Samsara Camp. This collective comprised of old and new friends from high school. Most of them had no experience with DJing and turntables, so I would teach them techniques that were learned and passed down to me. While with Samsara Camp I started playing Hip Hop at house parties and small venues throughout Maryland and Washington DC. Having the opportunity to open up for other locals at small venues was the stepping stone I needed to advance in my DJ career. After that I started giving private DJ lessons to friends and spoke with them about personal DJing experiences I had to help them with their DJ careers. That is just as important as technique. A short while later I joined another collective called Mantis Sound System and this is where my skills were honed and was able the play out more often. In 2001 I was contacted to play and teach Hip Hop DJing at Towson Universities Hip Hop week were I met an enormous amount of people and exhausted my resources. A few years later I found myself spinning regularly in Washington DC and Baltimore. While in Baltimore I opened up for and DJ’d along side such greats as: KRS-ONE, DJ Q-Bert and DJ Swamp among others at the popular club Sonar. While in Washington DC I opened up for and DJ’d along side such greats as: Cappadonna, Jurrasic 5, Mr.Len, Tame-One, Matisyahu among others at many popular clubs that hosted Hip Hop. In the summer of 2003 I had the opportunity to DJ before and after Dave Chappelle’s DC standup for both shows at the Warner Theater right after his first season debut of “Chappelle’s Show”. Soon thereafter I would find myself at Nissan Pavilion on the Code of the Cuts stage of the Vans Warped Tour. After those two amazing shows and the reception I received in DC and Baltimore I became a resident DJ for a legendary party called “Krunk” led by international DJ Jesse Tittsworth. During this time I would have shows at the world renowned Knitting Factory in New York and 9:30 Club in Washington DC and opening up for artists such as Jurassic 5 and Matisyahu. I have also judged the Guitar Center’s “Spin Off” DJ competition four times and was a judge at the International Turntable Federation (ITF) Mid Atlantic finals DJ competition. Presently I DJ for special occasions, but most of my time is now spent in my studio. |

Search | Add | 6 | Frank Virtuoso | Francis F. Virtuoso | Born on January 21, 1923. He played the violin as a child and took up the guitar and the double bass as a teenager. He continued with the latter as a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and studied orchestration at Temple University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and became bandleader of the Regular Navy Dance Band in Bainbridge, Maryland. He was discharged in 1946 because his father, who had been diagnosed with cancer, could no longer support his family. Virtue considered putting together a big band but, due to financial constraints, assembled an amplified trio instead, with Ralph Frederico on the piano and Steve Rossi on the guitar. Virtue named the band the Virtuoso Trio after their formation in 1947. The Virtuoso Trio toured the regional club circuit for the better part of a decade, playing as far as Canada and making regular appearances on Philadelphia radio and television. They appear to have been the house band at Chubby's Cafe in West Collingswood, New Jersey in 1949 and 1950. They performed as a backup ensemble for Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Dick Haymes, June Christy, and others. When local Pennsylvanians Bill Haley & the Comets hit big in the mid-1950s, Virtue found a receptive audience in the teenagers who loved the nascent rock & roll craze. By this time, the group's lineup had expanded, with Virtue on the bass, John Renner on the saxophone, Jimmy Bruno on the guitar, Joe Vespe on the drums, and Dave Kaplin as an occasional vocalist. Under the name the Virtues, they released a rock reworking of Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith's country hit "Guitar Boogie" in 1958 under the title "Guitar Boogie Shuffle", on the Hunt label. The instrumental became a major hit in the U.S., peaking at #27 on the Black Singles chart and #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. The single also became a sheet music smash, selling well worldwide. Several singles followed – "Flippin", "Boogie Woogie", "Vaya con Dios" – but none of them succeeded; the group was signed by ABC-Paramount, but their only return to the charts was with the 1962 release "Guitar Boogie Shuffle Twist" which reached #95 in the United States pop charts. Towards the end of 1962, Virtue disbanded the group and primarily pursued a career as a record producer and recording engineer. His original studio, in the basement of his house on Fayette Street, was where "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" was originally recorded. He opened a new business, [l368463], located at 1618 N. Broad St., which became one of the top studios in Philadelphia for a number of years until closing in the early 1980s. He produced and mixed (with his wife Mary Anne Virtue) groups such as "Society's Child", a top 40 band from the Wilmington, Delaware area. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, among others, produced records at Virtue's studio before moving on to [l264049]. The song "Hey There, Lonely Girl" by Eddie Holman was produced at the studio, as were "That's Life" and "Who Stole the Keeshka?" by Gabriel & the Angels. In later years Virtue Studios was the home of a number of rap groups, including Dr. Roxx & Co. Collectables Records released a collection of Virtues instrumentals in 1993 as Guitar in Orbit.. |

Search | Add | 6 | Ricky Zaziky + Die Holidays | Novelty and parody project by [a=Mathias Bozó], starting in 1993 with the song "Du hast noch Sperma in den Haaren", that in the subsequent years was accomplished with a bunch of similar songs. In order to mark the project as a parody and to separate it from his other projects, the artist created the fictional character [a=Ricky Zaziky]. The early demos were produced and recorded by Mathias Bozó himself in Heidelberg. After sending a demo tape to german TV station VIVA in 1997, the artist appeared on [a=Stefan Raab]'s Vivasion TV show with the Sperma song (and a fake playback band). 1998 four tracks from the repertoire were released on a music cassette (later available as free mp3 download on ponkoff-music.de) with all music played by the artist. 2002 the artist appeared on british Channel 4, once again with the Sperma song. After moving to Lüneburg in 2002, Mathias renewed the concept, the songs and the stage show for his Ricky Zaziky appearances. He formed a live band (The Holidays) and recorded new versions of the old songs and some new novelty songs. In 2008 he published a Promo EP with four songs, followed by a full album, recorded with his band and a couple of guest musicians. Anyway, the concept of the project and the musicians had aged in between, so shortly after the album release Mathias Bozó ended the project, seeing the 2008 album as a gift for all fans who had been waiting for the album for nearly 15 years.
