Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Cesare Ferioli | Cesare Ferioli | Cesare Ferioli aka Big Mojo, born in Bologna on 1967, made his debut appearance in 1981 playing drums with the then very young bolognese punk band Uxidi D.C. and Urban Fight, then he plays with the new wave/post punk band Tribal Noise during the first half of the eighties, and the rock'n'roll band Jack Daniel's Lovers during the late 80's. This led up to the album "Stay Out Of Jail" by J.D.L. (1988 - Lakota Records / Ricordi Italy), produced by Los Lobo's Steve Berlin, which took them on an extensive tour to perform on stages all over the country. From 1990 to 1996 he drummed with the rock/blues band Dirty Hands, issuing three records with them ("Dirty Hands" - 1992 S.D.R.Rec.; "XXX Hot Chilli" - 1993 Boots Rec.; "Four Cool Cats" - 1995 Boots Rec.) and playing on the European blues circuit and the southern and western American ones (New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Tuscon, Flagstaff, Los Angeles etc...). He has worked with many blues artists both in Italy and overseas (Andy J Forest Italian / American tour '92; Paul Orta and the King Pins American tour '93, J Monque'D Italian Tours '94/'95, Mark Hummel Italian Tour '95) with genres that range from surf music (X - Raymen '95/'97) to garage/punk (Sciacalli '98)...but never forgot blues. During the 2002 he becomes Big Mojo to produce its own music and create a fusion between electronica and roots like blues and funk. Like Big Mojo he has produced two albums and countless singles From 2008 to today he is drummer and producer for Wu Ming Contingent, the band of the Wu Ming collective |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Dorothy Heralds | Eclectic Rock? Progressive Art Rock? Electronica-Induced Power Pop? Attempts to categorize Madison-based The Dorothy Heralds seem intriguing at best. For, if you've seen this ensemble live, you know that the experience is one that defies conventional expectation. The Dorothy Heralds mesh Matt Nelson's quirky, experimental electric guitar parts with Kevin Lozada's keyboard lines that stretch anywhere from ambient and subtle to intensely melodic and driving. Put these parts on top of the pounce-like, athletic bass leanings of Gary Chin, and an intricate instrumental bed unfolds. Vocalist Katy Rykken rounds out the sound with her rich mezzo-soprano voice that flows easily from airy and ethereal to brassy and bold. Each with a diverse array of influences and experiences, members of The Dorothy Heralds come together to create lilting melodies that thread together their unique package of sound. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Under A Black Sun | Under a Black Sun is a dark, experimental musical project that came to fruition in the fall of 2005. "Descend as Wolves" was the first of several obscurely, self-released albums that have come into existence. While the music typically consists of incessant, repetitous guitar chords strummed amidst a wall of hauntically evocative noise-scapes, the lyrics deal with recurrent themes of existential darkness, contemplative nihilism/nihility, as well as a seemingly ever unfolding occult philosophy. Bordering somewhere between neo-folk, experimental ambient and ritual noise, Under a Black Sun still manages to stand alone as a pioneer of a uniquely dark, personal and uncompromising musical niche. | |

Boyz was among the best known bands of the Boston club circuit in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. They projected an androgynous Glam Rock image (ala Poison, Pretty Boy Floyd, Hanoi Rocks, etc.) complete with makeup and jewelry, cheesy stage names, dramatic hair coloring, tattoos, peircings, and leather clothing making them more closely resemble an act from Los Angeles than the more conservative Boston, MA. | Search | Add | 3 | 110% Pure | Matthew Bradley | Music Career 2004-2007: Early Career and 1st Placements In 1998 a young Pure came to a fork in the road of his life where he had to decide whether to continue down the path of destruction or try to do something positive. Pure took his last $800 and purchased an Ensoniq ASR-X, and started cranking out beat after beat. Over time his skills increased to the point where he finally gained the talent and confidence to shop his tracks to major recording artists. In 2004 Pure met Bump J, a Chicago recording artist signed to Atlantic Records through a mutual friend and producer Boogz. Bump made countless songs to Pure’s beats and featured two of them on his “Chicagorillas/Gangsta Grillz” mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. Pure was on track to have his 1st placements with Bump’s debut album on Atlantic, but the project ended up getting shelved. In 2006 he earned his 1st placement through Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam, for their artist "Shawnna." He went on to earn two more placements on that project with the help of "DJ Geno," an employee of "Hustle Period," Studio Coordinator and personal associate of "Shawnna." By now the word got out in the Chicago music scene about 110% Pure. Pure needed representation now that he was ready for the big leagues. So in mid 2006 he inked a deal with multi-platinum management company "Track Kingz." That same year the producer launced his own production company, "Point Blank Productions, Inc." He worked with countless artists in the industry and also appeared on B.E.T's "106 And Park" in February of 2007. 2008-2011: Pitbull and Bad Boy Entertainment Management In 2008 Pure scored another placement on former TVT artist "Pitbull's" album "The Boatlift," entitled "Un Poquito" featuring "Yung Berg." That same year Pure inked a co-management deal with "Bad Boy Entertainment Group's" "Fran Spero," Senior Vice President Producer Management, Music Publishing and Special Projects. In 2010 Pure releases his new album "Pure Raw And Uncut," a compilation of songs featuring collaborations with both major and independent artists including: Shawnna, Brisco, GLC, Buk of Psychodrama and Bo Deal just to name a few. The album also features the smash hit single heard on the airwaves: “Boyshorts” featuring Co-Still. The same year, the record “Un Poquito,” featuring “Pitbull” and “Yung Berg” was featured in the 2010 film “Inhale” directed by “Baltasar Kormákur” starring “Dermot Mulroney”, “Diane Kruger” and “Rosanna Arquette.” 2011 was another good year as Pure produced the unofficial stripper anthem, “Big Booty Judy” featuring former DTP artist Shawnna and former Slip-And-Slide artist Trina. 2012-Present: An emerging Chicago Music Scene Pure took a brief hiatus from the music business to start his clothing line Grimey League, but was inspired by the young producers and artists that emerged in the Chicago music scene in 2012 and decided to get back in the game. Pure is currently working with Chicago artist Tree, who is from the infamous Cabrini Green Housing Projects and the creator of Soul Trap (an infusion of soul samples and trap drum sounds). They are working on an EP called “Trillin” which will be all original music produced entirely by Pure. The 1st single, “Karl Malone” has been well received by Internet blogs, record labels and tastemakers, locally and nationwide. The final project will be available for sale on iTunes the beginning of November 2012. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Arcane Saints | Arcane Saints | "Arcane Saints are one of the most exciting new rock bands to come out of Australia since Silverchair, Electric Mary, Midnight Oil, and INXS. Their latest EP, “In the Shade of The Juniper” continues the Aussie legacy of musically diverse, hard hitting rock and roll." - Brian McKinny, Senior Editor at Music Insider Magazine (USA) Arcane Saints is an Australian hard rock band formed by singer/guitarist Michael John. Born in the United Kingdom, Michael grew up in New Zealand before moving to Melbourne, Australia in search of a bigger rock music scene. After some line up changes Michael “Sheep” Gooding, who had recently relocated to Melbourne from the outback town of Darwin, joined the band as lead guitarist. Den Murray was then recruited on drums. Like Michael and Sheep, Den had also only recently moved to Melbourne, having moved from Sydney. Bassist Rory Wale, who is the only local Melbourne member, then completed the line up. Arcane Saints set out on a relentless touring schedule of Australia, Canada, China and New Zealand, releasing a single which gained the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Toby Wright (Metallica, Alice in Chains, Kiss, Korn.) Toby invited them to his home town of Nashville, USA to record their debut album Turning the Tide. Toby was a close friend of Layne Staley, late singer of Alice in Chains and delighted Michael by allowing him to use the custom made microphone Layne had used for the chart topping Alice in Chains EP “Jar of Flies.” Peter Keys, pianist from the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd, made a guest appearance on the album. The momentum continued with Arcane Saints receiving rave reviews for their performance at Australia’s prestigious Big Day Out Festival, headlined by Pearl Jam. Following a highly successful USA radio campaign, they were invited to join multi platinum selling rockers Trapt for a five week USA tour. The tour, which included a spot at Gig It Festival, headlined by Sevendust, was a massive success resulting in thousands of new fans for Arcane Saints. Whilst touring Arcane Saints noticed the audiences really connected with their new songs and decided to hit the studio again. With highly regarded Aussie producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Birds of Tokyo) at the helm, they recorded a new EP entitled "In the Shade of the Juniper". "In the Shade of the Juniper" boasts some of the heaviest songs the band has recorded as well as some more pop rock tracks. Arcane Saints consider it to be their best work to date. In August of 1993 they recorded their follow up, "Splintered Faith", which was finished and even had completed artwork. They also produced two small runs of BraneStem T-shirts, one with the "Killed by Fear!!" artwork and one with he "Splintered Faith" artwork. However the "Splintered Faith" demo would never actually get released and Chris Alexander leaving for college in November 1993 caused the band to split up that same month. Josh Walter went on to front Diskord in May 1995 and release their only demo later that year. Josh left the band in January of 1996 and Chris Alexander joined Diskord on bass and vocals until their breakup in April of the same year. | |

In 1948, Harlan Fingerhut and Joe Wankerl started playing with the Badger Valley Boys, a band that played for WWCF radio station out of Baraboo. Being of an innovative nature, these two musicians decided to form their own local band and soon, with several friends, they were beating out polkas, waltzes, and country western tunes. Harlan Fingerhut played the drums, Joe Wankerl the tuba, Kenneth Rieder the accordion, LeRoy Walters the trumpet, Dick Strait, vocals, guitar, or banjo, and Hank Dederick trumpet, tuba, or base guitar; a formidable group! Their most requested song, "E-I-O Polka," was recorded in 1967 and crossed the ocean to Bavaria. In 1971 (recorded in 1970), this outgoing group cut their first album, "Saturday Night with the Plain Hot Shots," at the Sauk City recording studio. The popularity of their infectious rhythm won wide recognition and soon they were taking in larger areas, traveling to La Crosse, Madison, and Waunakee. | |
