Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Garen Markarian | Garen Markarian is an unsigned, Canadian independent singer-songwriter/producer, who performed his first recital on the violin at the age of 7. He picked up the guitar at age 14, and formed a variety of bands throughout his high school and university career. With the accentuated use of guitars and the economic application of world instruments, Garen has been intriguing audiences with his versatile singing and musicianship. This multi-instrumentalist continuously delivers an honest and sincere live performance, keeping the listeners refreshed with curiosity. His independently released E.P. "odd ones..." (2005) received critical acclaim at college radio stations across North America, and continues to garner respect amongst his counterparts in the industry. "Health Crisis"? is Garen's debut full-length album, an introduction to his brand of original music. Each song creates a unique landscape of melancholy nostalgia with the use of elegant melodies. With his ability to efficiently play numerous instruments, his travels and fascination for world cultures (South American, Reggae, European folk, etc.) have provided him with plenty of resources to apply to his beautifully crafted songs. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Checo Tohomaso | Checo Tohomaso's Bio Music Director, Checo Tohomaso, brings a wealth of musical experience to the Vancouver Outreach Community Sweet Soul Gospel Choir (VOC). Born in Florida, and raised in Hawaii as well as Okinawa Japan, he has entertained with many notable performers throughout his career. Checo was honoured to play keyboards, percussion and sing background vocals for the last European tour of Motown legend, Marvin Gaye. As a keyboard player and background vocalist for the Green Machine, the band providing the sound for The Commodores and Lionel Ritchie, he continued to tour the world extensively until Expo '86 brought Checo to Vancouver. Checo’s musical journey began in early childhood where his first performances were as a member of a church choir. The son of an African-American Christian mother and Peruvian/African-American Jewish father, Checo grew up surrounded by different styles of ethnic music. When asked how his passion for Gospel music began, Checo points out “ninety per cent of American Soul, R&B, and Jazz singers have their musical foundation singing Gospel music in the church and I was heavily influenced by those artists at a very early age”. Following Expo ’86, Checo toured the Canadian school system exposing youth to ethnic and soul music. In addition, he worked extensively with the First Nations population to provide positive motivation, from the perspective of a person of colour, and deliver messages of staying in school, staying off drugs, and racial tolerance. Checo’s current focus is to communicate the positive, healing qualities of soul music to as many people as possible. He notes, “at home, everyone sings Gospel and the spirit and culture are strong. People in Vancouver are longing for real music and my goal is to bring it!” In order to achieve his goal of "bringing soul to the city", Checo also coaches soul, R&B, gospel and light jazz-style vocals, and teaches both keyboards and bass to students from across the lower mainland. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Swansong for a Raven | Swansong for a Raven (SfaR) started during summer 2007, created by Julien on bass and Estelle on vocals. They wanted SfaR to have a very strong visual identity. In december 2008, the promo video for the song Baby Goth Metal was shot. It was a reference to all the styles which used to influence the band back then. The first autoproduced EP « Secret » has been released in february 2009 and was featuring this video. After that, SfaR started to forge its name on the local scene, and played with the Japanese band Anli Pollicino at the Grillen in Colmar, and also at the 2010 Artefacts festival which took place at La Laiterie in Strasbourg. On the 1st of July 2011, the band released their first album « Love, Darkness and Decadence » which will definitely pose the bases of their style. After numerous concerts and the release of the One more on the Road PV and single, most of the members of Swansong for a Raven decided to leave the band in July 2012. Julien and Estelle decided to take advantage of this change to give the band a new musical direction. The band has been on hiatus for almost a year before coming back in a new form. In summer 2013, seven years after the beginning of the band even tough it’s the same name Julien and Estelle come back with a whole new style. The new music is composed only of strong distorted bass guitar, drums and vocals for a whole new sound. After making 3 new videoclips (Youtube Channel here), the band went to Japan for 2 concerts, and after that, in december 2013, they joined the Japanese band Eat You Alive as opening band for their European Tour. | |
