Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Alain Demari | Yapo Adopo Alain De Marie | With his first hit, Alain Demari burst the screen. On radio and tabloids. The young prodigal of Akyé music seduces and wins the sympathy of music lovers. In particular the fairer sex. When he was born, Alain had given up by his father ... and that, at one point, disrupted his childhood. Fortunately, he will grow up in an environment of women, where he has received a lot of tenderness. His mother cradles little Alain and both form a "bond" until 2000, when Alain decides to go to France in order to embrace a real career as a musician. He has the support of his mother. But at the same time, she worries about the loneliness that she will have to do without her adored son. Alain, it must be emphasized, was his only son. He leaves donations. But whenever his mother had a problem, Alain immediately returned to his Ananguié village, to give his support to the one who has always guided his steps. One of his plans was to allow his mother to go to Paris. In 2001, she fell ill. This wish will not come true, because illness got the better of Mary (her mother) on June 12 of the same year. A real blow for Alain. The death of his mother affected him so much that he believed that his existence should end there ... He buried his mother with dignity. And, each time he is in possession of his guitar, the first note he "plucks" is a chorus in homage to Marie, his mother. |

Search | Add | 3 | Selma Shelley | Selma Shelley began her career in Christian music at the early age of three when her father took her to sing for the men in an Army camp during World War I. In their Christian home in North Dakota, Selma and the other children of the large family found in music their greatest recreation. Each child endeavored to become proficient in the playing of musical instruments and the family circle orchestra found great pleasure in playing the old hymns and classics. When Selma was nine she took the all-important step of making her profession of faith in Christ in an evangelistic meeting in the Baptist church which the family attended. A year later she began her formal study of music. She was frequently called upon to sing solos, and when she was fifteen she had become the regular church pianist. Moving to Seattle, Washington, and later in Washington, D. C., she became contralto soloist in a number of churches. In the nation's capital she was featured as soloist on a weekly concert program from WWDC. Back in Seattle, while working for the Navy Department at an Aircraft Company, she met her future husband, Bernard Shelley, who shared both her Christian faith and her devotion to Christian music. Their present home was built as a music center, with two complete studios for the recording of Christian music. Mrs. Shelley has been contralto soloist for nineteen years at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Seattle. On this church's own radio station, KTW, she was soloist for the "Light for Today" program. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Shelley have produced their own program, "Inspirational Melodies", from this same station. Meanwhile, Mrs. Shelley has been in constant demand to sing for the Christian Business Men's radio program, and on numerous other programs, and at notable events such as the Easter Sunrise services. An almost fatal illness in Mrs. Shelley's life proved to be an experience which brought her into a closer fellowship with God and a deeper dedication of herself to His service. As a result, she turned from open doors in the field of secular music and found what she believes to be God's perfect will for her life — singing His praises and in teaching others. One of Selma Shelley's finest contributions to Christian music was the organization of the Seattle Children's Choir which meets regularly in her home. Another group which has attained musical excellence through her guidance is the Octet, whose songs are presented in this album. The octet arrangements are all by Mrs. Shelley.

Search | Add | 3 | Soul Habitat | Soul Habitat is an independent deep house project with musical roots firmly attached to early garage house style. At the same time, it pays tribute to the artists, who were creating the genre and the scene in 80's and 90's. Raw drum sounds, sampled organs along with classic swing grooves - each of Soul Habitat tunes brings the essence of retrospective house music with a modern twist. Throughout the organic and dirty sound, the tracks at some point reflects human life lines - full of imperfections , jumps and sudden twists and turns, but still harmonious and resonant. You can find some melodic parts that are repeated throughout the song and those that only appear for a moment and never returns. All of the tracks are largely inspired by the life of big cities - New York, London, Paris along with many others. The musical flavor of the productions is a combination of sound experiences gained from traveling to those places and inspirations that have been collected by listening to various music genres over the years. Each of the pieces is very often associated to distinctive architecture, cultural heritage and regular way of life of the inhabitants of large cities. When it comes to mixing, Soul Habitat is no newcomer to the scene. More than 10 years of experience in the production (mostly bass music under the name “Ravager”) and DJ-ingdifferent genres helped to evolve a unique style of playing sets. Combiningraw bouncing beats and melancholic soulfultunes, the sets that Soul Habitat plays are the essence from the classic "golden era" style of house music. And they are 100% vinyl. Musical inspirationscomes primarily from artists based in U.S., UK and France - especially those, who promote classical deep house and garage sounds, f.e.: Bicep, Washerman, NY Stomp (Gerd), Kool Vibe, DJ Steaw, Detroit Swindle, Jeremy MLIU, Motor City Drum Ensemble, DJ Nav, Ringard, Squarehead, The Groove Victim, New Jack City, Brawther, Enrico Mantini, Sem & Mike Sharon Ultra Knites, Alex Agore, Steve Huerta and many others.

Search | Add | 3 | Holy Ghost Church Choir | Church choir from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The choir was organized early in the twentieth century during the pastorate of the late Reverend Aloysius Fretz. Father Fretz's love of music and his adherence to the best liturgical traditions inspired the choir in its beginning years. His successor, the late Monsignor Scott A. Fasig also took a keen interest in the choir. In 1933, faced with the task of finding a replacement for an organist and choir master, Monsignor Fasig turned to the youth of the Parish, in whom he was most interested. He selected [a=Francis L. Mies], a twenty-two year old protege of the first organist and choir master, Mr. Henry Rohs. Under the direction of Mr. Mies the choir expanded from a membership of twelve to forty-five. World War II left the choir with few young singers, but at the war's conclusion the choir was revitalized. The repertoire included liturgical music with Latin Masses by Perosi, Carnevali, Bach, and Stahle. English and German hymns and motets became the music characteristic of the Holy Ghost of the forties. In 1946, St. Bernard's R.C. Beneficial Society invited the Chorus to be the nucleus of the "Samaritan Glee Club." The purpose of this secular group was to entertain at social and civic functions. The Glee Club demonstrated its versatility in their renditions of light classicals by Beethoven and selections from operettas by Romberg and Friml. Other choices include American marches, patriotic tunes, rolling sea chanties, medleys of barbershop quartet music, Negro spirituals, and novelty songs. In 1961, Reverend Reginald S. Billinger, D.D. was named pastor of Holy Ghost Church. Father Billinger provided the choir with the same inspiration for "God's Glorification" as did his predecessors. The choir implemented the changes in the liturgy approved by the Second Vatican Council, and can be heard singing English Masses and other selections of English liturgical music. The choir was honored by being the first Lay Choir to sing a High Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The choir is the nucleus of the original Pageant Chorus which furnished the background music for the Lenten Pageant, "Behold the Man of Bethlehem," a production of Catholic Pageants, Inc.

The group plays acoustic chamber jazz and with tuba, saxophone and piano the trio creates a distinctive timbre expression. We meet three strong instrumentalists who gives us music that alternates between the extroverted frenetic and endlessly beautiful and contains simple, beautiful elements and the more "bizarre", complex and challenging. The trio composes and arranges all the music themselves. |

Search | Add | 3 | Aramansa Brew | Ginger Aramansa Brew | Ginger "Aramansa" Brew was born into a family of artist, her father was a writer and a poet and was also a diplomat (Ambassador of Ghana). Third out of three daughters, at the tender age of six months, she started traveling the world over with her parents on their mission representing Ghana from one country to the other (U.S.A., Great Britain, Mexico, Lebanon etc...) All of this not only served to enlighten her in her school education, but also taught her to embrace worlds of different races, cultures and traditions, which today has influenced her choice, tastes and love for music. Thanks to her parents she grew up listening jazz, soul, r&b, gospel and basically learned to sing way before she could talk. As a soloist she has recorded a number of singles for various recording studios both in and outside of Italy, where she resides. She has had the opportunity to work with several artists including Paolo Conte with whom she still collaborates and Mariah Carey doing tracking vocals. In this new project in collaboration with [a=Mahjong], she is expressing that part of her nature which is indeed multicultural, trying at the same time not to forget her roots. But feeling the need to add a pinch of jazz, a sprinkle of afro and a little bit of this, that and the other. |

Search | Add | 3 | FugaSatanae | Dark ambient project from Russia. Alex Hedin (concept, music, artwork, mastermind of the project, from the beginning) Andres Westrvm (sampling, additional help, since 2007; appears on "the Heritage") It initially started by Alex Hedin with the idea of making a PC-game (Quest) along with his friend in 2000. He was really into occult stuff that time, so Lovecraft's stories got to be a reasonable choice for both of them... Alex Hedin took part in producing sounds and samples, being a concept-designer at the same time. Unfortunatelly, due to failure of a hard-drive on our PC, we've lost all the data, except musical score. We felt devastated, and finally decided to close the project in 2001... Coming back to what he had composed, Alex Hedin came up with the idea to explore the field he once discovered - to use the material he had and reproduce it into something personal, so that the music wouldn't touch its narrative side only (like it used to be in the game), but also showed his own feelings to it. Three years later... It's spring, 2004 and Alex Hedin got the first long-play record to the date - "The Descendant", a typical Dark Ambient with its strong feel of influence from Lustmord's early material (1982-84). Three more years left... FugaSatanae represente "The Heritage" CD with much better sound quality and more mature musical construction of each track on the album.

Search | Add | 3 | Aural Exile | Aural Exile is a solo band of varying genres formed by Griimoiire in 2007. Chris Paul (who went on to form the post-punk band, Catholic Playground) played bass in the early lineup with several drummers under the project's original name, The Apparition. Griimoiire recorded the debut album, "Attrition" in the autumn of 2010 with engineer Vince Burke and session musician Jacob Berg. It was produced by Griimoiire the following winter and privately distributed. For the next five years, many demo tapes were recorded using an analog 4-track recorder, but none have been released to the public thus far (only "Dreadful Entrenchment" and "Nightmare Everlasting" are available to listen to). In 2015, Aural Exile finished recording the sophomore release, "Empathy and Misanthropy" at the now abandoned Abysmal Lair studio in Scott's Addition. It was released on vinyl in 2015.
