Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Orinj | North Wales natives Ifan Rhys, Liam Trohear-Evans, and Tomos Walker joined forces in 2019 to jam. Jams quickly turned into songs and within a month they made their debut at the Curiad Bangor Pulse festival with singer Erwan Hughes. Hughes departed soon after their first gig. The original trio continued and released their first two singles in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic halted the fledgling band's progress playing live. In May of 2021 they came out with their first collection of songs, "How Do You See the World?". The band played live throughout 2021 through to 2023, most notably supporting Derrero on a short series of summer gigs. They come championed by David Fielding of the Chameleons and Mark Hoyle of Dub Sex.

Search | Add | 3 | Gospel Choirs United | Minneapolis, Minnesota Gospel Choirs United (GCU) is a giant gospel music icon in Minnesota. Organized in 1974 by Phyllis Williams and the late Sam Davis, the choir continues to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Over its 42-year history, the choir has electrified audiences with an unforgettable upbeat sound. Annual concerts are filled with traditional, contemporary and mainstream gospel selections that capture the essence of God's goodness. This choir has sung before sold-out audiences, from the local church to the Fitzgerald and Ordway theaters. This compelling choir is composed of the most talented singers in the Midwest. Not only is the choir fantastic but the band is terrific and sometimes, quite honestly, off the charts! With rhythmic grooves and intricate harmonies, the choir and band are an awesome combination. The choir has featured many national recording artists in concert such as Daryl Coley, Keith Pringle, Steven Roberts and Jeffrey LaValley, just to name a few. To it's credit, GCU has also been involved in theater. The choir continues to receive recognition for participation in the highly acclaimed run of "Gospel at Colonus," a Broadway Musical which has also had a run at Minneapolis' Guthrie Theatre. Other theater credentials include participation in the Christmas musical "Harlem Nutcracker" as the Northrop Auditorium, and participation in the Plymouth Music Series "Witness" production with James Earl Jones at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Search | Add | 3 | Ole Ivars Veteranene | Band that existed under this name from 1979-1982, made up of then former members of [a1059375]. During the 1970's, "Ole Ivars" went through many lineup changes, culminating with the 1978 departure of (among others) [a1059377] (the "Ole" in "Ole Ivars"). Shortly thereafter, [a1059377] and other former members of Ole Ivars got together and formed Ole Ivars Veteranene (The Ole Ivars Veterans). The two Ole Ivars bands co-existed for three years, until 1982 when the band then calling itself Ole Ivars retired and Ole Ivars Veteranene went back to using the name Ole Ivars. The lineup has since then remained relatively unchanged. They released two albums under the "Ole Ivars Veteranene" name.

He obtained the Licentiate of the Royal School of Music for piano performing when he was 18. In the ensuing years, he lived in the UK and USA to pursue further studies in Engineering under various scholarships, all the time continuing his music education through reading and listening to a wide repertory of music. In his time at Stanford University, he took up music composition lessons under Leland Smith. One of his many compositions during this creative and productive period was called 'Four Songs from Romantic Poets', which won him first prize at the Paul and Jean Hanna Music Competition in 1984. After his return to Singapore, he continued to pursue his interest in music despite his career in Engineering and later, in a pioneer Internet company in Singapore. Besides writing several works for orchestra, he worked on several pieces employing microtonal tunings for synthesizers and computer. He was one of the first Singapore compoers to explore computer-generated sounds and music using KYMA and other systems. A few of Tsao Chieh's experimental test pieces were eventually recorded. Plans were in place to write an opera based on the legend of Bukit Merah when Tsao Chieh was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away in 1996 and is survived by his wife.

Never willing to conform or compromise, they survived on their sole primal instinct of sleep, occasionally dreaming. Sadly, Dreklings met their demise in 2003 at the height of their evolution, having just grown tentacles and the developed the ability to emit a fear toxin from the slits in their wrists.

Search | Add | 3 | Ninón Sevilla | Emelia Pérez Castellanos | Cuban-Mexican film actress and dancer. Born November 10, 1921 in La Habana, Havana, Cuba. Died January 1, 2015 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Sevilla was active during the golden age of Mexican cinema. She was considered one of the greatest Cuban stars and the principal exponent of the Rumberas film. Sevilla adopted her stage name in tribute to the legendary French courtesan Ninon de Lenclos. As a youth, she felt the religious vocation, and thought about becoming a missionary nun, but after she started dancing with success in nightclubs and cabarets in Cuba, she opted for a career in show business. Later, she began working in the chorus of the Cuban comedians Mimí Cal (creator of “Nananina”) and Leopoldo Fernández (the famous “Tres Patines” of Cuban radio and television). Sevilla came to Mexico as part of a show starring Libertad Lamarque. Thanks to Sevilla and the musician Kiko Mendive, the musician Dámaso Pérez Prado also came to México and became the so-called “King of mambo”, a rhythm she helped to make popular. On one occasion, the producer Pedro Arturo Calderón saw Sevilla on stage and offered her a contract to work in the films. Her debut in cinema was in 1946 in Carita de Cielo with María Elena Marqués and Antonio Badú. From that moment, Sevilla became the exclusive star of Producciones Calderón. She had offers from studies such as the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia Pictures, but she refused for not being interested in work in Hollywood. Though from the beginning she was marked by the eccentricity of her hairdos and gowns, filmmaker Alberto Gout established her as one of the erotic figures of Mexican cinema. Sevilla was consecrated by Gout’s legendary films Aventurera (1949), Sensualidad (1950), Mujeres sacrificadas (1952) and Aventura en Río (1953). Besides her films with Gout, Ninón also worked with Emilio Fernández “El Indio,” who directed her in one of the best films of their careers, the classic Víctimas del Pecado (1951); Julio Bracho in Llévame en tus brazos (1954); Gilberto Martinez Solares in Mulata (1954) and the comedy Club de Señoritas (1956); and Alfredo B. Crevenna in Yambaó (1956). In the musical Rumberas film Sevilla internationalized the icon of the rumbera like no other of her peers: she was the perfect archetype in several films, in which a “fallen woman” was dignified through dance. She staged the many choreographies of her films, and was the first performer to introduce movements from Santeria rituals in her dances and to recognize the influence of Afro-Caribbean culture in the plots. When she was on top, she had the biggest forums, spectacular sets, dazzling costumes, first-rate technicians and alternated with great figures of Latin American cinema as Joaquín Pardavé, Andrea Palma, Fernando Soler, Pedro Armendáriz, Anita Blanch, Agustín Lara, Domingo Soler, David Silva, Rita Montaner, Ramón Gay, Tito Junco, Andrés Soler, Roberto Cañedo, Fanny Kauffman, René Cardona, Pedro Vargas, Toña la Negra, the trio Los Panchos, Mendive & Perez Prado. By 1950, Sevilla had consolidated her sex symbol status and was a superstar. Her success led to her being recognized in countries like Brazil and France. In 1955, when he wrote about film, the future great French director François Truffaut made a review of Llévame en tus brazos, in which he wrote: “Is Ninón dancing for glory? No way, never. It is quite clear Ninón is dancing for pleasure!”. With the decline of the golden age of Mexican cinema, Sevilla retired from the industry, but returned in 1981 by the hand of Mario Hernández, who directed her the 1984 film Noche de Carnaval, for which she received the Silver Ariel Award for Best Actress of the Year. Sevilla debuted on television in 1965 with a small role in the soap opera Juicio de almas, produced by Ernesto Alonso. After the revival of her career, she was invited in 1987 to appear in the telenovela Rosa salvaje, alongside Verónica Castro. She was cast in numerous supporting roles in several telenovelas, as Qué bonito amor (2012). In 2014, Sevilla was the subject of a tribute from the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences and the Cineteca of Mexico for her career and influence in the Cinema of Mexico. Sevilla had an relationship for several years with film producer Pedro Arturo Calderón. Eventually she married Cuban doctor José Gil, but she widowed soon after. Later she had another relationship, which produced her only son, the musician Genaro Lozano. |

Search | Add | 3 | Zaimie | Zaimie are Zaidi Kiggundu (aka Ziggy Funk) &Jamie McShane Zaidi Kiggundu aka Ziggy Funk Hailing from London, England, multi-instrumentalist Ziggy Funk has for many years been involved with music. He never had the stereotypical upbringing of a musical family; it was merely his curiosity which brought him to where he is today. Picking up and learning the guitar at a young age was his first taste of his journey, to which led him to play in numerous bands. This also allowed him to incorporate different styles from Funk, hip-hop, jazz, blues and world music in his repertoire. Ziggy’s Musical journey led towards Dance music, always loving the sound of house it was only till later in life Ziggy began to really settle and refine his skills as a producer and DJ. Playing at many great venues such the ‘Roundhouse’ in Camden, ‘Big chill’ festival, the Legendary Soul Heaven night and the well-known East Village club in London and as well as residency for Deep Into Soul which is one of the premiere House nights in London. In 2011 Ziggy released 'Everyday' with musical partner, Taliwa under the mighty Foliage label which received a great reception from the house community. The duo then went on and wrote another smash ‘What You Afraid’ which was released under the legendary DJ Spen’s label, Quantize recordings which also had support from one of the pioneers of house, Louie Vega. Ziggy has also released works under Defected, Soul Heaven,Tony records, Limestone recordings, Room Control records, Play It Down, MN2S and more. In 2014 Ziggy's started a new ventures with successful producer and DJ, Neil Pierce of Fanatix/Soul heaven which includes a label which is also named after their collaborative guise 'Rhemi'. The two have numerous original/remix work under the moniker working with the likes of Joey Negro, Louie Vega, Opolopo, Kele Le Roc and others. Never fully content, Ziggy is always pushing forward and trying to move the boundaries within himself. Yes, sure dance music is where he made a name for himself but he has always kept his fingers in other genres and tried to be free with musical expression. His ‘Red light Syndrome’ EP released in 2016 on BBE records showed his versatility and dynamic vibe. This was later followed by his debut album ‘Boxer’s Fracture’ that applied all his musical diversity in full for all to hear and to see where the future could take the sound for Ziggy. 2018 brought in a new era and the birth of ‘What Is Hip?’ Recordings. This label is a platform for Ziggy and other artists to explore sounds and have a place to be free with expression. Founded by Ziggy Funk himself, the label has a strong future and holds its own in a very busy music industry. All this energy and appreciation for music lives deep within Ziggy and you can always expect awesome quality from him be it through his production, DJ performances and the record label. Jamie McShane Jamie McShane (also known as Difusion)…. an artist and Dj and a huge connoisseur of black music. Jamie got into the music he loves when he was 10 yrs old.... He was visiting his sister…His sister was married to ‘Bluey’ the front man of Incognito. Bluey was playing guitar and Paul “Tubbs” Williams was playing bass in the living room, they were in the process of writing the first Incognito album (Jazz/Funk) He can remember sitting watching and listening thinking “What is this sound?” especially the sound Tubbs was making from the bass. He asked Bluey ‘What is this?’, ‘Slapping the bass' came the reply......... From then on Bluey would always take Jamie to the studio and as Jamie got older he would go on tour with them. Around about sixteen Bluey let Jamie hear The Headhunters album and that was it for Jamie! This album had it all for Jamie and really got him into Jazz/Funk. He also remembers going to Club 9 when he was 17 or 18yrs and hearing Yogi Haughton play some awesome shit but the track that got Jamie asking questions was Big Daddy Kane -“Warm it up Kane”, that was when he knew he was into hip hop because Hip Hop is basically Funk loops with someone rapping over them. People that influenced Jamie include- Bluey – he became like a father figure and would always take him to his recording sessions and Incognito tours. Colin ‘Sid’ Wilson – because of the time they spent together collecting records and building their first studio (The Sugar Shack) Yogi Haughton- He moved to Jamie’s home town Wishaw when he was about 19yrs, he was another one who took Jamie under his wing and let him hear more rare grooves and underground ‘Bizness’. Daniel Maunick, Jamies nephew but more like his older brother….. a Jedi of the game! When he was 21yrs old he became friends with Colin ‘Sid’ Wilson AKA ‘Sid The Funky Kid’ ….both of them bought Technics 1210’s, (still the best thing they ever bought) Jamie and Sid then built their first studio known as the infamous “Sugar Shack” in the mid 90’s... They bought studio gear and started making their own tunes along side Difusion member Daniel Maunick Aka “Dokta Venom” the released their first Difusion 12″ on their own label “Straight Talk Records” followed by two other 12′ on Far out Records and Solaria records (Bluey Sings on one track). Sid and Jamie became inseparable… every day was spent in the studio and every weekend they were off buying records to play or sample…two Beat junkies and great friends doing what they love!! Jamie has been producing and writing with some great artists including Garfield Fleming, Mark IV, Preacherman and co wrote/produced the track 'Illusions' on Daniel Maunicks fantastic album 'Persistence' as well as working closely with Ant Thomaz on their Hip Hop project ‘Lou Scot’ The vibe is always going to be to bring all the influences from all genres of music…wicked drums, killer basslines, funky keys and horns 2022 saw Jamie complete two Jazz/funk, Boogie albums, one due for vinyl release on 'Far Out' records in 2023 was co written and produced with Daniel Maunick and Zaidi Kiggundu. The other due for vinyl release also in 2023 under the Name ‘Zaimie’, titled 'Fortuitous' on 'Splash Music Production' was written and produced with Zaidi Kiggundu. All instruments for both albums were recorded at The Sugar Shack Studio in Carluke Scotland. ZAIMIE In the summer of 2016, two musical forces, Zaidi Kiggundu (Ziggy Funk) and Jamie Mcshane met at a music festival. Through a mutual friend and appreciation for Funk, Jazz and Soul music, the pair knew they would have to collaborate on a project together. Zaidi and Jamie both having music careers in their own right, colliding the two musical worlds would sure be interesting to hear. Jamie a DJ/Producer and Zaidi a Musician/Producer, both of them are well versed in the music industry. They have contributed a diverse catalogue to their individual scenes, as well as running music labels in their own right. In the first instance of a few demo sessions at Jamie’s studio in Scotland. The pair rustled up the bare bones of their debut album ‘Fortuitous’. A funked up Jazz, Soul album with modern day sensibility thrown in for good measure. The album also feels like an homage to the classic albums of the hay day, which the duo are passionate about. Although the Album took a while to make, due to scheduling issues and not to mention the dreaded covid disaster. The both of them never lost sight of finishing the project and held the helm to completion. With help of top class musicians on horns Ewan Mains, Konrad Wisniewski, James Steele. The ‘Fortuitus’ stands up to its mission of providing solid grooves and interesting arrangements for people to hear. So much so that the team at Splash Music Productions jumped at the project and now, what was a chance encounter many years ago with a few simple ideas. Is now ready to be released to the world for all to hear.

Search | Add | 3 | Schwarz Of Galiorka | Formed weeks after the Gags' breakup, Glezos and Paolo M. start SCHWARZ OF GALIORKA. Somehow influenced by post-psychedelic weirdness (Alice Cooper, Sparks, Arthur Brown) and proto-punk bands (Doctors Of Madness, Punishment Of Luxury), the group is actually a studio project, with Glezos overdubbing all instruments bar the drums, courtesy of Paolo M.: a forced choice, since the recruitment of other members proved beyond any hope. The duo with the strange monicker (a weird, selfmade german-russian combination, which tentatively means 'The People In Black In The Balcony') go through a heavy schedule of demos recorded at Palmito Studios, a 8-track semi-professional studio in S. Giuliano Milanese (Milan). SOG's intention was to release a self-produced mini-album titled 'Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!', which in the duo's intentions would include 6 tracks on a one-sided, 12" lp. In the meantime, Vidocq and Top Hat joined respectively as artwork designer and manager. SOG kept writing and recording, but after a long and heated internal debate the mini-album is cancelled, as the duo embarked in a series of acoustic demos recorded at Radio Popolare in Milan. In October 1983 Kindergarten Records in Florence offers a deal, but after beginning pre-production at the label’s recording facilities the duo declines. In January 1984 SOG released the rare, promo-only 12" Goatsucker/Voilà Hack'n'Slash on their Gates Of Heaven label (200 copies are pressed). After disappointing rehearsals with a number of guitar and keyboard players, SOG break up in spring 1984. In 2010 Hate Records releases ‘Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!’ (vinyl only, 50 copies in blood red pressing), the projected-then-withdrawn 1983 album. 'Tapes Of Mystery And Imagination', a CD released in 1996 by El Passerotto, includes all the studio recordings of the most adventutous Italian post-punk group.

Forte Ruin was originally founded in 2011 under a different name. After couple years of songwriting and countless rehearsals, the band finally formed its current line-up in the spring of 2014. Handful of shows were played with the new line-up in the fall of 2014. During the long and cold winter, there was plenty of time to record the first release "Forte Ruin EP." The record saw daylight in the spring of 2015 and it has gained interest and positive feedback. Members: Arttu Ruusunen - lead vocals Saku Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Samu Aaltonen - guitars & backing vocals Arto Viitanen - bass & backing vocals Jere Aaltonen - drums Veli-Matti Kyllönen - keyboards

Search | Add | 3 | Siegelord | Epic metal from Cincinnati After years of silence and slumber, something stirs. Darkness looms over worlds untold as the fetus of a savage new god kicks. Pantheons crumble and the faithful weep as the cosmos gives birth to a new dark conqueror. Four brothers, black of armor and void of soul, roar in adoration and corrupt praise. The Fallen rises, accompanied by hymns that drone like sanity's funeral dirge... Siegelord captures the essence of this morbid tale, presenting it to you with musicianship both dark and powerful. Hope shall be forfeit when such soundscapes of war echo through forgotten lands... and when the last cry for battle has left our lungs you shall know the Fallen has ascended.
