Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Eurago Arktur | The four musicians from Eurago Arktur are not at all unknown faces in the regional metal scene. Peter Danilov (vocals), Kai Schmidt (guitar), Rico Bartels (bass) and René Kaminsky (drums) can look back on many years of band and stage experience. In 2018, the four met for the first time to bring their diverse musical roots together under a new banner. The result should be a fresh style of its own within the divergent genre of metal. Progressive metal coupled with classical elements meets jazzy chords, orchestral sounds and djent. Intricate guitar riffs blur with catchy melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. Eurago Arktur create an impressive overall picture from a musical mosaic. With their debut album "The Maze Of Faith" the four musicians are not going astray, no, they are lyrically and musically guiding the listener along the obscure path of a man tormented by fate. In seven heavy songs, the listener accompanies the protagonist on his search for redemption ...
Search | Add | 3 | Blvd Park | BLVD Park Info We are what we call a "Spaghetti Western Desert Folk" band, with roots in traditional bluegrass and country. But, there are a lot of us, with a whole lot of different ideas, resulting in an eclectic sound that is at times gypsy, gospel, swing, R&B, folk, blues and rock. We are in love with the artform of creating and performing music, and we want to take our show on the road, baby! Fortunately, a little ol' fair in Alaska has asked us to come on up to share our tunes with folks there. We're ECSTATIC to actually be getting to see this very big dream become reality! Five of us will be piling into one van, making stops all the way up the west coast, arriving in Seattle, where we will leave the van, hop on a plane to Juneau, and another plane (or possibly ferry), to take us to the remote destination of Haines, AK to play the Southeast Alaska State Fair! After that adventure, we'll be relocating to Seattle, WA indefinitely to work on recording our next album with Carla Torgerson of The Walkabouts and Subpop record label. Check out our show dates, drop us a line, and hopefully we'll see you in the future! Cheers! He was a Baptist minister, humorist, after-dinner speaker, husband, father, grandfather, and published poet. His two long-play humor records, "Smile, Southern Style" and "Seventh Sense" both went into at least four pressings. His poetry chapbook The Beginning Tree was published in 1971. Search | Add | 3 | Bendis | The band “Bendis” was a Niteroi Ska, Hardcore and Punk Rock band that emerged in 1995. Its last line-up included musicians Bruno GI Joe (vocals), João “PX” Pinaud (guitar and vocals), Lucas Benevides (guitar ), Maurício Machado (drums) and Ricardo Sá (bass and vocals), with Ricardo being the only remaining member of the original line-up. The band was named after a Portuguese version of the skate video “Ban This”, by Powell Peralta. “Bendis” began his work playing an unknown rhythm, Ska, in bars and parties in Niterói, São Gonçalo and Rio de Janeiro, and soon recorded his first demo tape on K7 called “O Início”. In 1999, Bendis played for the first time in another state, at the 4th Edition of the Goiânia Noise Festival. After that, he also played in São Paulo, Curitiba and Minas Gerais. In September 2001, the band entered the studio and recorded five songs from the EP “A Primeira Vez é Inesquecível” (2002), when bassist Ricardo became the official composer. At the end of the same year, the band Bendis made its second performance in São Paulo, including a debut at Hangar 110, a mandatory stage in the country's rock scene. He also began to frequent websites, magazines and newspapers. Still in 2001, guitarist Lucas joined the band to improve the rare solos in the middle of SKA's chords. In 2003, Bendis played in cities such as Araruama, Petrópolis and Rio Bonito. He also participated in a four-show tour in the interior of São Paulo and, in 2004, played at Bar do Blues, São Gonçalo; Bunker – RJ; Jet Club da Barra – RJ and in Araruama.

Search | Add | 3 | Delores Washington | Delores Washington-Green | Delores Washington was a member of the Gospel singing group [a1013997]. Her pure, silvery soprano was ‘always that sound that made The Caravans’ background so great. She was a trained operatic singer, having studied at a music conservatory. She joined [a1013997] in 1958. She became known as the Gospel Princess for her youthful vibrancy and trained soprano voice. Around that time, the lineup also included [a731527], [a573739], [a38202], and [a1089762]. [a2493510], who played piano with The Caravans and was Washington’s neighbor in Robins, Illinois and had recommended Dolores to Albertina Walker. Young Delores looked up to [a731527], a fellow Caravan who was considered one of the queens of gospel. Even as she developed a thriving solo career, Delores also remained a stalwart member of The Caravans. As she once put it in a filmed publicized interview, “They (singers) can come, and they can go, and they can come, and they can go, but I ain’t going nowhere.” In 1968, she ventured off with her solo career which started with [a1838019]. Her musical relationship with [a573738] opened the way for several solo albums accompanied by James on the Savoy Gospel Label. She also toured Europe singing with [a6850917]. She battled various forms of cancer several times throughout her life beginning in the 1970's. Mrs. Delores Washington-Green’s powerful singing continued even after treatment for cancer and in 2019, she received the Dr. Bobby Jones Legends honor at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Las Vegas. |

Search | Add | 3 | FugaSatanae | Dark ambient project from Russia. Alex Hedin (concept, music, artwork, mastermind of the project, from the beginning) Andres Westrvm (sampling, additional help, since 2007; appears on "the Heritage") It initially started by Alex Hedin with the idea of making a PC-game (Quest) along with his friend in 2000. He was really into occult stuff that time, so Lovecraft's stories got to be a reasonable choice for both of them... Alex Hedin took part in producing sounds and samples, being a concept-designer at the same time. Unfortunatelly, due to failure of a hard-drive on our PC, we've lost all the data, except musical score. We felt devastated, and finally decided to close the project in 2001... Coming back to what he had composed, Alex Hedin came up with the idea to explore the field he once discovered - to use the material he had and reproduce it into something personal, so that the music wouldn't touch its narrative side only (like it used to be in the game), but also showed his own feelings to it. Three years later... It's spring, 2004 and Alex Hedin got the first long-play record to the date - "The Descendant", a typical Dark Ambient with its strong feel of influence from Lustmord's early material (1982-84). Three more years left... FugaSatanae represente "The Heritage" CD with much better sound quality and more mature musical construction of each track on the album.

Search | Add | 3 | Damn The Maps | The name, Damn the Maps, was derived from a philosophy shared by all three band members, that people should follow their own maps, their hearts, and not follow what society says is necessary to be accepted. Regardless of race, creed, political influence etc, the band believes that all people should be true to themselves and not true to the social map. And so the name was established. Singer/Songwriter/Bass Player Martin Green moved to Melbourne from Auckland, New Zealand, following shows there with a ‘kiwi’ line-up, including supports for some of New Zealand’s top bands including The Datsuns, Head Like A Hole, Stellar* and Tadpole. Upon his arrival in Australia in March 2003, Martin joined with Australians, Nicholas Riley (Guitar) and Mark Coats (Drums), to establish a new Damn the Maps’ line-up. Damn the Maps supported Evermore in Melbourne in September 2004 and again in the Victorian towns of Mildura, Belgrave and Mornington in April 2005 during the Evermore national tour. Many Victorian live shows ensued including festivals such as The Apollo Bay Music Festival, Need for Feed Festival, Venus Bay Festival, and the Maitreya Festival. The band’s two EP’s which were released in 2005 and 2006 respectively, received radio play in NZ, on Auckland stations BFM and The Rock, Hamilton’s The Generator, and in Australia, on stations such as Triple J, Triple R, and PBS. Television appearances have included TVNZ’s Good Morning New Zealand. Now as 2008 takes hold, the band has penned their debut album, much to the delight of an ever-increasing fanbase. ‘Input Output’ is released on VENT/Amphead and is also available digitally through Orchard worldwide, from 26 April 2008. The album is a showcase of the band’s diversity and of Martin Green’s obvious skill as a songwriter. The album ebbs and flows across the rock/pop genre with hints of influences such as Muse, Coldplay and Radiohead. Band Members: Martin 'The Moustache' Green (vocals, bass) Nick 'Not Entirely' Riley (guitar, vocals) Huw 'Mad Dog' Elias (drums) - SOURCE: music.net.nz

Search | Add | 3 | Negate Life | Negate Life | Negate Life is a hardcore/powerviolence band formed early in 2017 by four kids enraged by the flaws of the neo-liberal society. Drawing on the powerviolence sound forged by band such as Nails, Rotten Sound, Magrudergrind, Weekend Nachos and Sect as well as the Swedish death metal sound, especially the classic “Boss HM2” tone popularized by Entombed, Dismember, Grave and At The Gates, they top it off by adding a bit of Crust Punk and Black metal to the mix resulting in their latest EP, Falsehood, released in 2018. For us, hardcore music is a safe space for everyone who suffers, in any way, of marginalization. |

Search | Add | 3 | Electrotom | Electrotom is Simon Gag and Toby, both from Sweden. Electrotom came about in 1995-96… after about a year of production, the first release hit the unsuspecting world. Electrotom’s “Love Camp Electro” EP was released on Candy Cane Exploitations in 1997. The sound was metallic, twisted, evil and organic at the same time, always with erotic undertones… more vinyl was to follow with that distinct Electrotom sound… Electrotom took a break after the Swedish Erotica release from 1999, they had left their original sound on this release, giving room for a more polished release. Feeling that they had compromised their originality they decided to take a break from music production for a while… this was in the year 2000… Now they’re back and are working intensely on a new album, a 12″ is about to surface on the Candy Cane Exploitations label… this will uncompromisingly be in true Electrotom style… we’re back with a vengeance…

Search | Add | 3 | Denzil Naar | Denzil Naar | Famous Jamaican illustrator of posters for Dancehall events. His artwork can also be found on various Reggae album covers. Born: 1947 Died: July 2022 From reggaealbumcovers.com: Denzil “Sassafras” Naar is a legend in Dancehall history, who basically defined the way that dancehall events were marketed and promoted. Just like Wilfred Limonious pretty much defined the look and feel of 80s dancehall and reggae record sleeves, it was Sassafras who set the style and standard of the posters promoting dancehall events and sound systems. His work was so distinctive and ubiquitous in the 80s dancehall scene that the language and slang he often employed on his posters became adopted in the dancehalls and by Sound Systems. Denzil “Sassafras” Naar was born in 1947 and was nicknamed after a popular racehorse that used to run at Caymanas Park, Jamaica’s only racecourse, due to his love for horse-racing He started his career in design in 1975 when he started illustrating and creating hand-drawn posters to publicize the latest events, parties, and sound system clashes, for local promoters. He stumbled into poster design as a career when a friend asked Sassafras to design a poster for a dance he was holding, and Sassafras came up with a design that was unlike any others that were currently being made to promote events. His kinetic design style, distinctive lettering, and use of street slang was an instant hit and he quickly established himself as Jamaica’s premier designer for promoters and Sound Systems. At his peak, Sassafras has said that he was working 18 hours days and churning out 15 posters each week. His posters were soon seen all over the island, and his vast body of work is basically now serves as a catalog of artists, sound systems, and events that defined reggae and dancehall music through the 80s – each hand-drawn Sassafras poster was packed with information. The popularity of his posters soon earned him another nickname ‘The People’s Promoter’. Even if you have never heard of Sassafras, but have a working interest in reggae and dancehall music, then you will have seen his style, or at least seen other works that have been heavily influenced by the Sassafras. Sassafras has left his visual signature permanently on reggae and dancehall music. |
