Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Feral is the Kid | Jake Zimkiewicz | On his debut album, Feral is the Kid confronts themes of darkness, grief, loss, and death - all themes that have surrounded the human condition in some way, shape, or form. Though an exaggeration of real life events, the record is rooted in realism in some way. The 48 minute concept record follows the likes of it's titular character, Kid Vicious. Real life situations inspired the 11 tracks on the record. From the death of family members to the loss of friendships. From the feeling of self hate to the confusion of religion and spiritualism. While the record might have an unfortunate ending, this is just the beginning of a story years in the making for Feral is the Kid. Born Jake Zimkiewicz in Massachusetts, Zimkiewicz wasn't brought into a musical family. It was only when he showed interest at a young age that he was placed in voice lessons from the local church choir director. After singing in church and seeming to grow musically, Zimkiewicz moved to Florida with his family. At the age of fourteen, he composed his own tracks in his bedroom. He created some of his first songs (some of which you may be able to find online still) and began what would eventually become the Feral is the Kid project. "Music is something I'll always have. It's always something I'll be involved in. Once I start, I can't stop. This is only the beginning." |

Search | Add | 4 | Darío González Moreira | Darío Moreira’s multicultural origins reflect a wide variety of influences in his compositions. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1962, into a family of Italian-Argentine and Portuguese-Galician emigrants, who returned to Galicia in 1964. He grew up in the town of O Porriño, in an “indianos” house run by his paternal grandmother. The rhythmic sound of the train, which crosses the town through the center, is part of his first sound memories. His mother, Lucía Moreira, a native of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), transmitted her culture to him through literature, gastronomy and music. Since he was a child he had contact with the tango of the Rio de la Plata and argentine folklore; He learned the generic “palos” of flamenco with the gypsy community, and participated in several popular music groups. He studied Classical Guitar with professors Javier Fernández Oria, Uxío Mayo and Tomás Camacho at the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Galicia), where he had the opportunity to receive master classes from maestro José Tomás, who highlighted his expressive strength. He also participated with teachers and students in jazz sessions, learning in a self-taught way. Within the folk music scene, he formed the group [a2451125], together with [a5146653], [a2525264], [a5146655] and [a5146654], performing a copious work as an arranger and composer on the traditional music repertoire of Galicia. They recorded 5 albums and performed at the main folk music festivals, being one of the Galician groups with more projection in the 80′s, and awarded with the Galician Critics Prize in 1989. Faced with the need to resolve the aftermath of a youthful fracture in his left arm, he started to use in an intuitive way technique similar to the renaissance “dedillo”, which consists of the alternate pulsation of the fingertip and fingernail. This allowed him to perform scales and melodic phrases at great speed, and also, to apply this resource on acoustic and electric guitar, getting the effect of the pick with the fingers. By observing this way of playing the string on many instruments from different times and cultures, he deepens the study of world music, applying innovative guitar techniques in his compositions and developing the capacity for improvisation, from a language full of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and timbre resources.

Search | Add | 4 | Phenris | Started as a raw Black Metal / Black 'n' Roll band named Hater, and changed name to Phenris in early 2001 when their style metamorphosed into their current sound with the inclusion of influences from several different Metal genres. Today the band is described as Avantgarde Black Metal musically. Lord J. H. Psycho is one of the founding members of Furor Italicus, an independent Italian underground network of metal musicians, promoters and fans. Halphas and Necrum are also regular active supporters of the circle. Supremacy was a raw black metal side project that some Phenris members founded and sporadically rehearsed as between late 2001 and Spring-Summer 2003; they only recorded a handful of rehearsal tapes (now lost by the band members themselves) that were given away to friends. Endymion is NOT the same keyboardist from Opus Maledicta and [A=Lord Vampyr]. Dario Stolfi was only a drummer for two rehearsals.

The orchestra made many recordings for Bavaria Film Studios in Geiselgasteig, which may explain the alternate name (and the anglicised form "Bavaria" in particular).

Search | Add | 4 | The Gyrators | The Gyrators are a collective of musicians paying homage to the early Jamaican ska, reggae and roots scene. Their work is a loving tribute to the extraordinary musicianship of these early pioneers. The project was concieved by drummer and producer Joe Colfar; recruiting bassist Dan Walker, guitarist Stuart Andrews, and trumpeter Mike Murphy to record a version of Val Bennett's 'The Russians are Coming!' Endeavouring to stay true to the enchanting spirit and sound of the original, the four of them paid great attention to recapturing the roots of the record before adding their own splash of seasoning to it. With one track completed The Gyrators were born. Over the course of 2019 they chose more songs to recapture; from Lynn Taitt's stomping ska attack of "Storm Warning" to The Soul Vendors' hazy daydream of "Musical Science"; and recruited even more fantastic musicians to contribute to the authenticity of each track: Keys were provided by both Nic Dacre and Jamie Bullok, saxophone by Vanessa Humpreys, trombone by Ruben Durazo and addition trumpet by Glenn Holdaway. The result of this labour of love can be heard on The Gyrators' album 'Sounds From Another Dimension' out April 2020.

Search | Add | 4 | Rolf Langebartels | Rolf Langebartels, born 1941 in Mirow/Mecklenburg, lives in Berlin since 1961. He creates installations using light, sound and kinetic sculptures. Movement and sounds characterize Langebartels sound sculptures as event sculptures. Each of his sculptures has its own particular time structure, its own particular rhythm. Following this rhythm the sculpture moves or sounds or emits light. All sculptures are controlled automatically, most of them by a random time structure. Arranged together in a space they form an ensemble of events, that pulses in a complex rhythm with sequences and coincidences and pauses. Rolf Langebartels founded the non-profit gallery Galerie Giannozzo in 1978. Gianozzi played an important part in the early days of sound-art, presenting early exhibitions & performances by Rolf Julius, Christina Kubisch, Toine Horvers, Fritz Gilow, Raffael Rheinsberg, Takehisa Kosugi, Martin Riches, Philip Corner, Alvin Curran, Felix Hess, and many more. In 1986 the gallery was transformed into the art association Kunstverein Giannozzo.

Search | Add | 4 | Carl M Cox | Carl M Cox | Managing & Creative Director/ Writer & Producer at Prolific Music Entertainment. Carl M Cox is a media savvy writer, designer and record producer with a great entrepreneurial zeal, a shrewd eye for design and sharp ear for a great pop record! Originating from the city of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Central England, Carl masterminded Prolific Music Entertainment from being a simple college enterprise project in October 1995 to a burgeoning UK studio, where over the past twenty years clients have included Disney, Virgin, BBC, ITV, Tesco, Pete Waterman, Sony Music, Fox News, Warner Music and many others. In addition to being an A&R (artist and repertoire) executive for Prolific Music, he writes songs and produces music with several influential production partners. His prominence in the music industry began to steadily rise in 2005 following a year spent working for pop mogul Pete Waterman at PWL Radio. Carl also felt privileged to be given the opportunity to be mentored by top Birmingham based manager, John Mostyn. Inner City, The Beat, Fine Young Cannibals, Alison Moyet and Ocean Colour Scene are just a handful of artists whose careers John has guided. Carl has fulfilled several ambitions to work with some of his lifelong music idols. During the past ten years, he has co-written songs with German writer/producer, Frank Farian (Boney M), UK Hit Factory luminaries Phil Harding, Ian Curnow, Dave Ford and Pete Hammond and most recently had the delight to work with Motown genius, Lamont Dozier- America’s most successful songwriter ever! A perfectionist to even the most miniscule of detail, Carl places quality of service and quality of product at the heart of Prolific Music’s operations. His uncompromising stance towards ensuring that everything which bears the Prolific Music Entertainment name be of the utmost quality, resonates throughout everything that both he and his loyal team do. |
