Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Flock From Spokane | Flock From Spokane is a one-man recording project based out of Arizona. The music has been referred to as "post-rock", "psych-rock", "space rock" and "experimental". Flock From Spokane was formed in 2001 by Todd Stapleton while living in Knoxville, Tennessee. Numerous recordings were made over the years and unofficially circulated. In 2007, FFS released "The Cold Noise of Space EP", limited to only ten hand made editions. The "official" debut release was not until 2011 with "Clouds And Canyons, Vol.1", the first in a six-part series. The sound can range from abstract electronic dronescapes to sheer sonic walls of sound, and includes elements of free jazz, abstract psychedelia, avant-garde, and more. Flock From Spokane relocated to Arizona in 2008.

Search | Add | 3 | David Neuer | David Neuer | 1971 - 2007 (suicide). David Neuer's musical spectrum covers acoustic ballads, avant-blues twangin', psychedelic musique noir and undefinable semi-melodic no-fi weirdness. Neuer made eccentric cassette tape recordings since 1984. Later, he spent some time with a more crisp/clear/hi-fi sounding MiniDisc recorder as his alias, I.C. Cassiel. Other collaborations Neuer was involved in included West Cower Funtry and Los Flying Falafflers, and the more "serious" projects, Defenders of the 49th Parallel and Not Supposed To Drink It. In the early 1990s, Neuer played drums in a couple of bands with (Tender Prey's) Kenneth Larsen. As a poet, Neuer displayed his talents in the form of four Danish-language books, and participated on both of the BSBTA Talkathon Series releases with some poetry readings - with and without musical accompaniment. |

Search | Add | 3 | Dutch Falconi Orchestra | The Manhattan Transfer on Acid... That was probably the best of the many attempts to describe Dutch Falconi and his Twisted Orchestra. One of Sacramento's most successful and popular bands in the 1990s, DF offered a high-impact blend of Vegas style showmanship (Louis Prima was a favorite), Bertolt Brecht theatrics (Dutch's influence) and any fun wacky thing band members could throw in the mix (the Penis Guillotine was a fan favorite). The music was all over the map, but always unmistakably Dutch Falconi, with over a hundred original tunes and arrangements in the book when the band called it quits year 2000.

Search | Add | 3 | Cesare Ferioli | Cesare Ferioli | Cesare Ferioli aka Big Mojo, born in Bologna on 1967, made his debut appearance in 1981 playing drums with the then very young bolognese punk band Uxidi D.C. and Urban Fight, then he plays with the new wave/post punk band Tribal Noise during the first half of the eighties, and the rock'n'roll band Jack Daniel's Lovers during the late 80's. This led up to the album "Stay Out Of Jail" by J.D.L. (1988 - Lakota Records / Ricordi Italy), produced by Los Lobo's Steve Berlin, which took them on an extensive tour to perform on stages all over the country. From 1990 to 1996 he drummed with the rock/blues band Dirty Hands, issuing three records with them ("Dirty Hands" - 1992 S.D.R.Rec.; "XXX Hot Chilli" - 1993 Boots Rec.; "Four Cool Cats" - 1995 Boots Rec.) and playing on the European blues circuit and the southern and western American ones (New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Tuscon, Flagstaff, Los Angeles etc...). He has worked with many blues artists both in Italy and overseas (Andy J Forest Italian / American tour '92; Paul Orta and the King Pins American tour '93, J Monque'D Italian Tours '94/'95, Mark Hummel Italian Tour '95) with genres that range from surf music (X - Raymen '95/'97) to garage/punk (Sciacalli '98)...but never forgot blues. During the 2002 he becomes Big Mojo to produce its own music and create a fusion between electronica and roots like blues and funk. Like Big Mojo he has produced two albums and countless singles From 2008 to today he is drummer and producer for Wu Ming Contingent, the band of the Wu Ming collective |

Search | Add | 3 | Adrian Flux | Adrian Flux started Djing at Age 11 in 1991. He played his first gigs in 1994 when experiencing the beginning of the Rave-scene in Upperaustria, which was one of the first strongholds in electronic music at that time in Europe. In 1998 he organized his own Partys together with the guys of Visions of Pegasus; in this year he began to work on his own electronic music-compositions too. In 2000 he moved to Dubcity Vienna and brought his more hardedge styles to the urban public. He made his own Partys there, as there are "Klub Mukke" and the "Sternsofa" and in 2005 he became a member of the Houztekk-Crew which he still supports form his new Hometown Berlin were he went to in 2009; Berlin, the city he always dreamed of to live since he visited it first in 1995 for the Love Parade back then. He worked and is working for and together with several Radiostations in Austria as there are: Play.fm, E-Verteiler and Radio Ohm. In Berlin he is currently launching a eventmanaging/booking-agancy and still en route for Play.fm. Together with that he just finished his studies in Philosophy and concentrates on writing and arranging public readings called Die Lese. From 2001 on he had some releases of his own music on Streetforward, Gout Delicieux Records, Eigentum ist Diebstahl Records and 4Beat Records. He is a member of Usonia too, where he can fulfill his claim of making some live act-sounds. In the 18 years of Djing, 15 years of Club experience he got to know many different styles in electronic music; from Downbeat and Trip Hop, Nujazz and Broken Beats, Deep House, Chicago House and Technhouse, over Breaks and Uptempo-tracks, to Minimal, Techno and Electro. A "hobbyhorse" of his was always experimental-, electronica- and IDM-stuff; he is a quiet dynamic -playing Dj who likes to bring together different kinds of music - synthetic sounds with soul in it; the organic searched in the machine - brought to the dancefloor in a honest way; honest sounds for people that like to party hard honestly!

Search | Add | 3 | EvnaR | EvnaR was first concieved in the minds of blood brothers J.M (Between The Frost) and R.M (ex Between The Frost) in early 90s, their motivation made them join different bands on guitars and vocals. In late 1993 Between The Frost was formed with the two brothers as active members. In 2010, R.M (vocals) left the band, from that moment the brothers took up the legacy and feeling coming from early days and started to write new music. As soon as they decide to capture this work into a full length album, Slovenian drummer Robert Kovačič is recruited, an old friend and recognised extreme metal musician known for his work with bands such as Scaffold, Belphegor, Nothnegal... After two years and a great deal of work, eight tracks of Black Death Metal with no boundaries make up their first album entitled “E.V.N.A.R.”, mastered at Necromorbus Studio in Sweden by Tore Stjerna. The band´s logo is designed by American vocalist and visual artist Mike Hrubovcak from Visual Darkness. Members: R.M.-Vocals J.M.- Guitars Robert Kovačič- Drums

Search | Add | 3 | Neal Kay | British heavy metal/hard rock DJ, producer, live sound engineer and concert promoter (b. 10 February 1950). Neal Kay was one of the forefathers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement alongside [a=Tommy Vance] and [a=Geoff Barton]. From 1975 to 1980, Neal Kay, who has been DJ'ing at London youth clubs since the mid-sixties, managed a venue called "The Bandwagon Heavy Metal Soundhouse," originally in the back room of the Prince of Wales public house in Kingsbury, North London. With one of the city's loudest club PA sound systems (8 kW JBL/Martin speakers) and Kay's passion for hard-n-heavy music, the Bandwagon soon became the main center of attraction for metalheads. In August 1978, Neal Kay invited [a=Geoff Barton], a deputy editor of Sounds, England's leading music newspaper, to attend one of his Bandwagon nights. Barton was surprised to see a metal scene alive and blossoming in the era when punk seemingly dominated the mainstream. Sounds soon began publishing a weekly Heavy Metal chart, solely based on Kay's DJ requests at Bandwagon and featuring mainly pre-punk era bands: [a=UFO (5)], [a=Rush], [a=Scorpions], [a=Rainbow], etc. Other periodicals that covered the new underground movement included [l=Melody Maker]. In November '78, [a=Tommy Vance] launched his new radio program, "Friday Rock Show," on [l=BBC], also dedicated to heavy metal/hard-rock repertoire. In May 1979, Neal Kay organized a historical concert for [a=Angel Witch], [a=Iron Maiden], and [a=Samson (3)] at [l=The Music Machine] in London. Geoff Barton reviewed the event with a centerfold article in Sounds titled: "If You Want Blood (and Flashbombs and Dry Ice and Confetti) You Got It." Barton's boss and Sounds editor-in-chief, [a=Alan Lewis (2)], penned the ironic subtitle for the piece: "The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal: first in an occasional series by Deaf Barton;" and that's how a catchy NWOBHM term was born. With the media exposure and highly-publicized new "movement," Neal Kay became one of the UK's first high-caliber rock/metal DJs. He toured with [a=Black Sabbath], [a=Ronnie James Dio], [a=AC/DC], [a=Judas Priest], [a=Ted Nugent], [a=Motörhead] and other prominent acts, playing sets at venues from [l=Rainbow Theatre London] to [l=Hammersmith Odeon]. Kay participated in compiling and producing demo tapes for new unsigned bands at [l=Spaceward Studios] in Cambridge: [a=Saxon], [a=Praying Mantis (3)], Apocalypse and [a=Iron Maiden] (which soon landed a contract with [l=EMI], partially due to Neal Kay's efforts). In 1980, the label released [m=150039] LP compilation with an assortment of Soundhouse demos; Neal wrote liner notes and helped to compile the release. The same year, he appeared as an MC at the inaugural [l=Monsters Of Rock Festival]. During his Japanese tour with members of Praying Mantis, ex-Iron Maiden, and [a=The Sweet], Neal Kay arranged a collaboration with [l=Pony Canyon] label, resulting in the release of [r=13753360] CD compilation.

Search | Add | 3 | Mieczyslaw Kolinski | Mieczyslaw Kolinski (5th Sept 1901, Warsaw — 7th May 1981, Toronto) was a Polish-Canadian ethnomusicologist and composer. He became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1974. Kolinski received his education in Berlin, where he studied piano and composition with [a6828211] and [a906989] at the Hochschule für Musik (1923-'26). The scholar then pursued musicology at the Berlin University under [a1325982], [a8222219], [a3549142], and [a2529657], granted a PhD in 1930. As Hornbostel's assistant at the Berlin Staatliches Phonogramm-Archiv (1926 to 1933), Kolinski made several field trips to Bavarian Alps and Sudeten. He spent the mid-'30s transcribing Surinamese, Dahoman, Togonese, Ashanti, Haitian, and Kwakiutl Indian music for [l441870] and [l203349]. From 1938 till 1951, Mieczyslaw Kolinski resided in Brussels, Belgium. In 1951, Kolinski traveled to the United States and spent fifteen years in New York. He worked as [l594706]'s editor and a music therapist at several hospitals and co-founded the [l996649] (serving as president in 1958-'59). Since 1966, Mieczyslaw Kolinski lived in Canada. He taught ethnomusicology at [l947487] (1966-'76), becoming the university's first Scholar Emeritus upon retirement. Some of his pupils include [a2640311], [a1038461], [a291715], and [a950315]. Kolinski was also an associate composer at the [l75747]. Among Kolinski's primary research interests was establishing the scientific basis of harmony and melody. One of his early monographs, Konsonanz als Grundlage einer neuen Akkordlehre ("Consonance as the basis of a new chord theory") published in 1936, anticipated a few of [a=Paul Hindemith]'s theories. In ethnomusicology, Kolinski is most notable for developing cross-cultural analytical methods for studying the human acoustic perception that would apply to an overarching variety and diversity of the world's music genres and styles. Rather than focusing on contrasting differences between European and non-European musical cultures like most scholars did, Kolinski instead highlighted existing parallels, suggesting there are "basic similarities in the psycho-physical constitution of mankind." In the absence of such a universally recognized "objective" comparative framework in ethnomusicology today, most contemporary scientists, including [a=Bruno Nettl], routinely mentioned Kolinski's findings, alongside [a304968]'s and his teacher Hornbostel's writings, as most notable attempts to create one. As a composer, Mieczyslaw Kolinski often employed elements of modernism and wrote in a wide range of styles. His compositions include at least one work for an orchestra, many chamber pieces for small ensembles, duos for piano with violin or oboe, and solo piano pieces. Kolinski authored settings and arrangements of numerous carols and German, Dutch, Slovak, French, American, Canadian, Yiddish, Sephardic, Hebrew folksongs.
