Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Ronald Lloyd | He was born in London in 1929 and spent his childhood between India, Canada and England. He studied oboe and English horn at the "[l305416]", being at his 26 years soloist of both instruments in the "[a374006]" of Manchester, under the baton of [a561054]. He was a pioneer in the West composing serial and minimalist music, as well as inaugurating in 1965 one of the first private recording studios in his native London, where he composed experimental works for the [l1296998] ballet group. From that time he began to investigate music 1n arithmetic proportions, modal scales and enharmony, traveling through many countries of the East and residing in Greece, where I would study with an octogenarian [a102506], and in cities like Istanbul, Haifa and Bagdag where he would start building santures inspired by the Persian tetracordios of more than 2500 years old. In the mid 1970s he would return to Europe and in 1980 he would settle in Sitges, on the Mediterranean coast near Barcelona, where he founded in 1983 the "Camerata of Sitges". From that year he would meet the musician [a958259], who would have just founded his own label "[l193322]", with which he introduced new age music in Spain. Lloyd would participate as a guest in numerous concerts and recordings of Cazenave, at the same time to start producing most of the pieces together included in the album Parthenon finally published in 2004, in an attempt to achieve compositions and atmospheres of the ancient Mediterranean with the predominance of handcrafted instruments and tuned by Lloyd himself. Multi-instrumentalist, keyboardist, percussionist and all type the rare professional folk instruments player. Currently, Ronald Lloyd is currently retired in Surrey, in the south of England, writing his memoirs and a book on enharmonic music, which will include all his research and teachings.

Search | Add | 3 | Floy Webb Franks | January 18, 1930 - November 10, 2008 Floy was born in Roswell, N.M., to Loyd and Bertha Webb. Since she was 10 years old, winning cartons of RC Cola singing with brother Cloys Webb at the Paramount Theater in Amarillo, Texas, music had been a vital part of Floy's life. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948 and attended Amarillo College. At Amarillo High School, where she was voted Senior Favorite in 1948, she performed with a special quintet, Four Hits and a Miss, in addition to the choir. A year later, while being named Miss Amarillo College, she started singing as a soloist with several area big bands. Shortly after marrying Ray, she reached the final plateau of auditions on the famous Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts television show. As her family grew, she turned her talents to Amarillo's Sweet Adelines, where she was a charter member, and sang women's bass in a number of quartets. She also utilized her beautiful, God-given voice with the choir at Paramount Baptist Church, where she was a charter member. Until she was physically unable to perform with the choir, she often was called on to do solos in church services. In addition, she was involved in many evangelical crusades in the U.S. and around the world, singing for the Lord.

His father made whiskey and ran a bar in the hills of White County, Tennessee. “Uncle Bud” grew up in a poor family, one of thirteen children, and did not get an education. After his father’s death, his mother moved the family to Texas, where he fell into a wild life of drinking and gambling.

Search | Add | 3 | Day Felice | David Lindström | A romantic theatricality permeates Swedish artist Day Felice’s chamber/art pop. Rather than just a singer/songwriter, he’s an integral creator: His multi-layered lyrics can remind you of Rufus Wainwright; but his love for colorful, cinematic emotional contrasts reveals a wide range of influences stretching from dark cabaret to 2000s piano rock (Coldplay, Muse). After playing with various musical ensembles, Day Felice got signed to Rexius Records in the beginning of 2018 and released his debut single “Autumn” last summer. The track earned him a feature on prominent Swedish blog Popmuzik and a warm reception among European audiences. (Words from www.rexiusrecords.com) |

Arriving in a Slovakian commune in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 6, he worked hard to perfect his command of the English language. He began his radio career as a baritone singer, recording "Tancuj, Tancuj," a well-known Slovak folk song, in 1921. Two years later, he performed at Carnegie Hall with noted Australian composer Percy Grainger. He joined NBC in the year of its formation, 1926, as a baritone soloist and announcer. As a radio announcer, Havrilla was heard on NBC's "The Palmolive Hour" from 1927 to 1931, as well as on several other radio programs, including "The Jack Benny Program", CBS's "Strange As It Seems", and Paul Whiteman's radio program. Search | Add | 3 | A-Train Gang | Catch The Next Train! A lot of people equate Seattle with the typical imprints left by sports coverage and general media. These would include rain, coffee, salmon and large and diverse community rich with music history. These are NOT the characteristics that define the Seattle A-Train Gang grew up in. Much lesser known on a wide scale is the gritty, local detriment that was Holly Park. A crime riddled housing project that maintained a cluster of underprivileged families. Drugs flowed through the intertwining streets, graffiti tagged the fences, and hope lived on the other side of town. THIS was the 1980s scene that raised Train. When the ceiling is low, you tend to bump your head a lot. A-Train Gang was no stranger to mistakes and troubles that plague urban youth. With only alcoholics, gang members, and drug dealers/addicts as role models, if you're lucky enough to make it to 21, you will make it there the hard way. Train was no different as he saw his fair share of run-ins with the law coupled with the frequent loss of family and friends either to homicide, drug abuse, or the penal system. In 2004, after slamming into a few dead ends, Train decides to go full speed ahead into his rap career. He joined the super group Lac of Respect and became acquainted with Seattle's underground, independent rap scene. The following year, just as he was getting into the swing of things, Johnny Law slapped the cuffs on Train and shipped him off to fulfill a prison sentence of seven years. This didn't stop him from releasing his debut album “The Train Stops Here”. After his lengthy stay, in 2011 A-Train Gang hit the streets hard and began churning out tracks to piece together mix-tapes to be released in his own imprint: Gunclap Rap Enterprises. He dropped “Went Solo: Finally Buster Free” in the summer of 2013 and quickly followed up by releasing “Orange October” that same year. A-Train Gang maintains that working through his music has helped him to stay focused as he vents the frustration that he acquired in his childhood. We all can relate. Now, after a busy and productive 2014 arranging a network and strengthening contacts, Train is in a position to break into a larger scene with the necessary support and expand his audience. If you aren't competing to be the best, why are you in the game? Train hopes for stardom and his efforts and continued pursuit speak to this determination. As long as Superman doesn't show up, no one can stop this Train.

It has the distinction of being the only full-time regional professional orchestra in Canadian history. Conductor Klaro Mizerit led the orchestra from 1968–1977 and conductor Victor Yampolsky led the orchestra from 1977 until the orchestra's demise due to financial problems in 1983. Search | Add | 3 | The Dae-B-Four | West London mod group active in the mid sixties. Disbanded early 1967. The following info sourced from https://garagehangover.com/daebfour/ Brothers Rex and Brian Brayley had first come to prominence with Tony Liddle & the Lads, a Hounslow band formed in 1962. The band also comprised singer Tony Liddle, bass player Roger Sidey and drummer Yan Kuttlevasher. In mid-1964, Sheffield drummer Kenny Slade replaced Kuttlevasher after playing with Dave Berry & The Cruisers. When Tony Liddle left soon after, the group became The Dae-b-Four. Not long after the name change, the musicians were joined by new lead singer Jimmy Trimmer. Then in early 1965, Bob Carpenter took over from Kenny Slade on drums. Slade joined The Sheffields and later worked with Joe Cocker. Carpenter didn’t stay very long, however, and Bobby Dean from rival Hounslow band, The Stringbeats took over that spring. Dean introduced his friend, singer Iain Pitwell, who took over from Jimmy Trimmer when he departed. However, Dean left in August 1965 to work with another local group, The Valkeries. Malcolm Randall from Rey Anton & The Peppermint Men took his place briefly. The line-up remained steady until November 1965 when John Kerrison came in on drums after playing in Germany with The Horizons. Kerrison had previously been a member of Frankie Reid & The Casuals and The Rocking Eccentrics. Malcolm Randall later reunited with Pitwell in The All Night Workers in October 1967 after working as a freelance drummer and The Missing Links in the interim. The new line up lasted until about August 1966 when Kerrison departed and subsequently joined Mick Liddell & Gli Atomi in Rome, Italy. The band recorded the track “La Mia Inghilterra”, after which Kerrison returned to the UK. By February 1967, Kerrison had linked up with Johnny Kidd’s former band, The Pirates. He then played with Episode Six and The Beachcombers. The Dae-b-Four carried on with another drummer. In March 1967, Rex Brayley struck gold when he joined The Love Affair. Iain Pitwell meanwhile reunited with Malcolm Randall in The All Night Workers in October 1967.
