Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | John Aidan | The Belgian Producer is known for his unique progressive trance sound. His slow type of trance is a laid-back atmosphere type, which can be relaxed to the listener. Still further, one can say that his music is a journey through the spheres and atmospheres of the melodies and sounds. But always with a penchant for melodic trance John creates it skillfully to connect the individual styles together. John Aidan was born in Seoul, South Korea on the 10th of September 1982. Coming from a family of singers and musicians his passion for music started at young age. In his youth lots of his pocket money was spent on records, from then on he was excited to know how tracks were made. Johns main interest was producing trance tracks on the first place, not mixing them. At the age of 16 he made his first studio debut with his cousin Owen Replay in Brussels(Ohm Studio). After a while John started to experiment with other music styles and came to the idea of merging them together. His great influences first came from local Belgian producers and later then from the greater world star producers. John made his own way to producing tracks, did a lot of research and once and while a good friend/producer gave him some useful tips to improve the quality of his tracks.

Search | Add | 9 | Plague Rat | PLAGUE RAT is a Dark Synth artist based in Arcata, California, US. PLAGUE RAT blends elements of the Occult and Electronic music. "Beyond the blasted mountain peaks of the Mountains Of Metal. Beyond the endless Seas of Kourg. Picking through the ruins of the once great ancient cities of the Neon Lords stalks a mysterious being. He is the sole servant of sickness. Called the PLAGUE RAT, he scurries among the Sonic Kingdoms leaving nothing but death behind him in his endless travels. Those who hear the siren's song of the PLAGUE RAT are at least offered the panacea of facing oblivion, after experiencing the true excess life can offer. Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends."

Search | Add | 9 | Sirr D'Kay | Salar Peyhani | Sirr born January 06, 1987 in Tehran, Iran is a Danish record producer, rapper and film photographer. He is the founder and current CEO of [l=Kbh All Stars] and [url=http://www.allstarstudio.dk]All Star Studio[/url]. Sirr started his music career at an early age of 13, writing & producing music in 2000, but wasn't active in the music business until 4 years later. Soon he teamed up with childhood friend [a4725991], and started a musical collaboration together. In 2003 they formed the hip hop group [a=Ripz], with friends from school/neighborhood and began writing and producing new experimental material. The group had 3 rappers and 2 singers, so they named their style/genre "Hip PoP", a mixture of 2 genres that represented their individual styles and roles in the group. In 2004 they released their debut album [r=7750732], recorded in only 2 weeks which included 10 new original songs and 9 remakes, remixes & skits from earlier demos. Performing was a big part of the group, so [a=Ripz] toured for a year, with singing/rapping and performed with multiple show-dancers. After the tour ended it, they decided to break up the group and end the collaboration. Sirr decided to retire as a rapper, and for the following 5 years he was only focused on producing, but in 2008, he started to manage & produce the artist Haider. He and the former [a=Ripz] member [a4725991] started writing again and produced Haider's 2nd debut single [r=6140251] together with [l744217], which had its release that same year. Meanwhile, the hit song [r=7751573] (testicles in Danish) was produced by Sirr and 3 friends from the music business, which formed the comedy-group "8Ball". The 4 members of the group (having 2 balls each), came up with the group name and produced the music video for the single, which had over a million hits on [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzKbAxOiofY]YouTube[/url] in just 2 months, without a label or any promotion. This was quite huge, considering that the population of Denmark only being 5 million people and music streaming on [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzKbAxOiofY]YouTube[/url] was still new in 2009, was pretty amazing. The group went on a club tour, performed together on stage as Ronnie Lennett the lead, David Bertelsen the rapper and Sirr as the DJ. After 8Ball's second single [r=7751699], Sirr left the group and began producing for multiple artists. Later, in 2011 he discovered the twin brothers "Mark & Tim". They formed the group [a4726108] together and began producing their first EP, which was released the following year, including a music video, that Sirr directed, produced and released through his record label [l=Kbh All Stars]. After the [a4726108] project ended, Sirr got more into the film industry and found his new passion: making music videos, through his new film company [url=http://www.seebra.dk]Seebra[/url]. |

Hegen [The Iron Man] (vocal, guitar, harmonica), Eric Zuidema [little Weazel] (guitar), Cynthio Ooms [STeady Rollin'] (bass), Will Drenth [Big Eyes] (drums) B.J.

Lee got his start in the early 60s playing country clubs and private parties, eventually recording two albums, the self-released Himself in 1970 and Leeway some time later (exact release date is unknown) for the Snyder Album Co. out of Winston Salem, NC. Both albums are showcases for the wide range of musical styles Lee performed (folk, rock, R&B, gospel, standards, and even calypso) and his choice of material gives a strong sense that Lee was as much an entertainer as he was a recording artist. Pervis Lee continued to perform around Charlotte in the decades that followed. He retired from his day job as a chauffeur in 1994 and performed live music as late as 2001. He passed away on July 4th 2015 at the age of 81.

Search | Add | 9 | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz is a DJ and producer whose work embraces atmospheric techno and deep, wide soundscapes with a sleek sense for the contemporary Zeitgeist. He is a resident DJ at Cologne's renowned Gewölbe Club since 2012. He has toured across Europe, South America and Asia. Following his first record in 2014, he has released several EP's, as well as radio mixes for the likes of well-known series like Ibiza Sonica, Moodmusic Radioshow, Underground Tel Aviv and others. Born in a rural area in the north of Portugal, Rafael Da Cruz grew up as a ‘90s kid near Cologne in Germany and has been dedicated to music ever since he was a teenager. He began working in music journalism as soon as he left school, then went on to make a name for himself as a DJ and producer. Hosting parties and his “Right To Love” night soon led to a residency at Gewölbe, where he has invited national and international friends to play ever since. An emblematic night might see him open with a gentle set, whose sound is incorporated in an organic base, before coming back to close the night with straight-up elements, rounded off with a sweeter vibe to the end. His 2014 release “Renaissance” on the legendary Bavarian imprint Compost Records was followed by “Rex” in 2015, which included an outstanding remix from André Lodemann. The next few years saw him extend his discography with labels including Moodmusic, ISOLATE, and Berlin-based DUATRECORDS. Recent tracks “Bes” and “Saqqara” are pared-down and nuanced, witnessing to the same deep reflection and careful attention to the sonic journey that he brings to his sets. Accustomed to the vibrant international club scene, Rafael Da Cruz has been using the lockdown to carve out more time for production and composing with different musicians, and for his latest collaborative project, “Ona Sonora” - a series of holistic travel experiences across Europe and North Africa combining electronic music, nature, and rituals. He is currently based in Berlin. |

Search | Add | 9 | Ingvar Ambjørnsen | Ingvar Ambjørnsen, born in 1956 in Tönsberg, Norway's most pub-rich town, grew up in the equally less exciting Larvik. He did not complete his gardener's apprenticeship and otherwise worked in various jobs in industry and psychiatry, as informal training for writers, so to speak. First book published in 1981: the untranslated documentary novel "23-salen". Lives in Hamburg since 1985. Married to [a=Gabriele Haefs]. (1956–) is considered one of the great storytellers of contemporary Norwegian literature. His books are characterised by powerful, realistic descriptions of the seamier side of life. The protagonists are often outsiders – described with sympathetic insight and warmth. Loneliness and friendship are expressed in a concise literary style. Since his literary début in 1981 Ambjørnsen has written 18 novels and three collections of short stories, as well as several books for children and youth. The author’s great breakthrough came in 1986 with the novel Hvite niggere (White Trash) – a crass exposure of the plight of that unfortunate soul seeking out an existence in sub-cultures. His most successful novels in recent years is the quartet about the odd-ball Elling; critically acclaimed and very well sold to Ambjørnsen’s wide audience. Ambjørnsen has introduced something entirely new with his books about Elling. His stories contain less external plot, but proportionately more crazy inventiveness and absurd humour. The entire Elling series has been made into three movies. The first one has been shown in many countries and was nominated to an Oscar for best foreign picture in 2001. The theatre play Elling has appeared on stage at several theatres around Europe.

Search | Add | 9 | Charles A. Glenn Jr. | Charles Alexander Glenn Jr. | At the age of 15, Charles Alexander Glenn, Jr. began carving out his part of Nashville music folklore. While still in high school, he played music at every opportunity as the bassist for a cover band called [a=The Endeavors]. When school was finished, the band decided to challenge the music scene in Los Angeles and try to get signed by a major recording company. Discouraged after two years with no recording deal, the members of the Endeavors went back to their roots in Nashville. Now that Charles had experienced the Los Angeles music scene, he felt sure that he had discovered the "recipe" that would work to land a recording contract. He wasted no time in bringing together all of his Nashville music friends. When the instrumental and vocal blend was absolutely perfect, they all 'knew'. This band could climb the mountain to stardom in LA. They would be called [a=Ozone (5)]. The new band was recognized by music icon [a=Billy Preston] who snatched them up to be his personal band. After touring over two years with Preston, they were signed to a recording contract by [l=Motown] Records where they created and released five Ozone albums and became the "house band" for several acts on the Motown roster. Ozone recorded and toured with [a=Teena Marie], [a=Debarge], [a=Sammy Davis, Jr.] and [a=Luther Vandross] among others. Being everybody's "house band" at Motown had its advantages, but it didn't focus on advancing Ozone's public recognition and definitely hindered the group from becoming a household name. Ozone had created the sound and magic for everybody else, while their careers were put on "back burner" status by the marketing machine at Motown. Without the company giving them radio and tour support, Ozone disbanded. Charles moved to Europe and immediately went to work touring and recording exclusively as the bassist for Billy Preston. Charles was also offered a position in [a=Little Richard]'s band and over two decades later, plays every show, recording date and television appearance with Little Richard. In between tours, Charles worked in his LA area studio, arranging and producing music for clients like Disney Records, for which he worked on "For Our Children", including artists [a=Paul McCartney], [a=Elton John] and [a=Paula Abdul]. Charles arranged, played the instruments and produced the hit single "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on that album for his long-time mentor, Little Richard. These days, Charles is up to another project altogether: The first in a series of Charles Glenn albums was released in late August 2007 (The Bass King). This music is a "compilation of a lifetime of experiences and styles". A second album has been scheduled to be released early in 2008 to coincide with tours with an all-star band. Charles has never lost his passion for live performance. |

Search | Add | 9 | Helaku | Once upon a time a child was born. He was a kind, loving child always wearing a smile. All over people were amazed at how relaxed and positive someone can be. But when he was on the steps of growing up he found an apple, which everyone said he shouldn’t bite. He was also inquisitive and curious, so he had to taste it. The apple was so sweet, that it made him do foul things for a long time. After years of adventures, wondering and rebelling he found himself stuck suffering at the flames of hell (sink). Most of his friends were ruined or dead. The apple wasn’t so good anymore and he was lost like a snowman in Jamaica. But then one day he got pieces of paper which he ate. It was no normal paper, for it was magical mind altering paper. He had tasted it before, but only had small glimpses of the universe and how it worked. This time it was different, for he had learnt enough during his travels to step further forward. An ancient wise spirit of an indian appeared from the sun. It put a hand on the child’s head and said: “Rise dear child. For you have a destiny to fulfill.” The child was amazed and couldn’t say anything. The indian continued: “I will resurrect you from here to a new dawn, but you must promise me something.” The child nodded his head on agreement. “First you will move where you humans belong, in the middle of nature.” it said. “Second, you will plant shaman seeds for all mankind with love, kindness, knowledge and rhythms.” The child answered: “I will do what you say, please get me out of this misery.” The indian had a sad look: “No, Helaku. You will find your own way out of it, I’m here only to give you a new chance, a new beginning.” The child tried to talk “but how can I…”, but the indian interrupted. “You will find the answers if you just follow what the king, the sun tells you. Follow your instincts, love the world and the universe. It will show you the way. Be true to yourself and others.” “I will do that, I promise.” the boy muttered. “Then there is the third part of trinity which you must fulfill to succeed. It’s probably the most important thing. You must find your soul mate. Together you will rise to new heights of being, which will give you the biggest cosmic energy there is. And with the power of that energy you will be able to do amazing things and help the whole planet. It needs your help.” “True love?” the boy asked. The indian smiled: “Yes my son, you have knowledge of it already. Now you just have to dare.” “But how can I trust anyone after all these heartbreaks and sneaky women I’ve met?” The boy said. “Get a grip of yourself, you will know when the time is right. It will come if you just follow the sun.” The boy nodded. “I will give you new life and you will be reborn. And you will grow beautiful new life all over the universe. Now rise, Helaku my son.” There was a bright flash of the clearest white light there is and it bathed on the boy and the indian disappeared. And so the boy was reborn as Helaku, which is an indian name meaning full of sun. The rest is future or his-tory, possibly her-story, which you will learn some day. Be kind, be love. Be metta. Love life and it will love you back.

Search | Add | 9 | John Luttrell | John Luttrell | John Luttrell is a composer, producer, singer-songwriter, and performer. His music spans genres including solo works on guitar and piano, ambient and progressive rock, as well as scores for media and films. A true "citizen of the world" John was born in Venezuela in 1957 where he lived until his family moved to the US, the first of many cultural influences that appear in his music. Luttrell began his musical journey playing piano when his family moved from the US to Tripoli, Libya. After a few disappointing lessons, self-inspired, John played by ear, teaching himself piano and mandolin. In the 70s the influence of Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and finally Led Zeppelin fueled John's desire to get his first guitar. His family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where he was influenced by the Afrobeat rhythms of musicians like King Sunny Ade, which you can hear in his compositions today (Earth Dance). At 14, he attended The American School in Switzerland which became his opportunity test his wings. During the years there he jammed with roommate and future bandmate, Dave Veirs (Interstellar Dust) and became immersed in the music of progressive rock groups such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Moody Blues, and Mike Oldfield. At the height of the 70s British rock explosion John moved to London and joined a band called Chillum, playing both guitar and organ. Luttrell went from London to Phoenix, Arizona where he studied electronics engineering, to explore his interest in synthesizers and electronic music. In the 80s John played guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based prog rock trio Helios with boarding school friend Dave Veirs on keyboard and guitar, and Tony Betino on drums, playing numerous gigs in the LA area. John established his own indie label "OtterSong Records" and production company “BasisMedia Communication” in Southern California in the 90's while playing numerous gigs around LA. 2000 saw the release of Underwater Flying Lessons, which was primarily new age piano, with guitar and ambient textures. This was followed up by A Sense of Impending Levitation, which gained popularity with the track “Journey to Farpoint” on college radio stations, especially KSBR in Mission Viejo, California, on the Morning Breeze with host Donna Jo “DJ” Thornton. John was a regular on KSBR’s Morning Breeze Cruise on the Ocean Institute’s Sea Explorer in Dana Point, California, playing his music live on the open sea to dolphins, whales, enthralling the lucky listeners aboard. During this time, he performed at other venues in Southern California, often collaborating with artists such as Dov, Kori Linae Carothers, Jeff Oster and others. In 2005 John collaborated with Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev on the ambient rock project Garden Hose Universe, releasing the EP Falling. In 2007 Luttrell released The Corridors of Time, which originated as the score for the short film The Box, by Steve Deeble, eventually became an official album release. The 2014 release from John is The Dream Exchange, which features John prominently on guitar with acoustic and electric ambient instrumental tracks that follow the theme of the album – the exchange of dreams. The pronunciation of Luttrell is LUTtrell (British) rather than lutTRELL (French). The accent is on LUT, which rhymes with "NUT" and ends the same as "electrical". |

All members, including De Groot, have since worked together in partial formations. As a collective they created Nasmak PM (PlusMinus) in 2018. PM mainly stands for PlusMinus, to indicate that the line-up is variable and it is not just about the old Nasmak: members have left, or are sometimes unavailable, and there is also a desire to be able to work with guests. Nasmak PM started 40 years after the founding of Nasmak by Joop, Henk and Toon. PM1 Perpetuum Moblie: “[m=3384664]” (2023) is the first album of this renewed collaboration. It is called Perpetuum Mobile, because the 9 tracks on it are related to material from the early Nasmak days.

Instrumentation runs a spectrum from flutes, saxophones, bass clarinet and recorders to the yidaki (Australian aboriginal didjeridu), shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), and kangling or Tibetan thighbone trumpet. Harmonium, bowed psaltery, percussion, and digital/analog electronic elements further enrich the palette.\\ \\ Ferrara Brain Pan's checkered musical career includes early collaborations with noise music pioneer Boyd Rice aka NON (1970s), the mercifully short-lived goth-damage fiasco Bad Alchemy (80s), ambient dub project 23 Degrees (early 90s), and a fortuitous uncredited appearance on 1994's Rien by Krautrock legends Faust (produced by Jim O'Rourke). In 1998, Ferrara Brain Pan was co-founder of dark ambient duo Darmstadt Pharmacy, and more recently has again joined forces with Ure Thrall (and local SF Bay Area DJ/musician Mr Hate) in a new project called Death Of The West.\\ \\ https://web.archive.org/web/20080703213412/http://formsofthingsunknown.com/index2.html |

Search | Add | 9 | Ken Kobold | Ken Kobold of Ottawa, Illinois was a recording engineer who has been recording Drum Corps on reel-to-reel tape. He was active in the 1970s and 1980s. Back in the 1970s, if you wanted to find a recording of a corps dating back to the 1950s, there was only one man who could possibly help you -- Ken Kobold. Kobold was the only person who had quality sound recordings of hundreds of corps dating back to the early 1950s. After years of doing it himself for posterity purposes, [l153566] asked for his help. From 1971 to 1982, Kobold was the only recording engineer for DCI. Because of his love for the activity, he gave his services to the young organization and made master recordings of all the DCI Championships. This effort made it possible for DCI to produce albums and cassettes to sell to fans across the continent and world. By selling these recordings, [l153566] was able to survive those beginning years. The records were the organization's only fundraiser and enabled the DCI board of directors to hire a full time executive director. From there, the organization grew, but not without Kobold's continued help. In addition, he was in sole possession of a historical library made up of professional drum corps recordings dating from the 1950s to 1987, when he retired. He nurtured that collection through the years to not only include the "big" corps but also the hometown units as well. [a8440542], former executive director of DCI, explained, "Through all the years of helping DCI grow, Ken's only request was to have a place where he could set up his equipment to do his job. He was the ultimate volunteer." Ken also started the Marquette Crusaders in Ottawa, IL in 1954. It was first started at Marquette HS, the only Catholic high school in town. Within the first few years they changed the name to allow any kids in Ottawa and surrounding towns to join. Ken was inducted into the DCI Hall of Fame in 1989. He passed away in 1992.

From his early youth, Atanas had the opportunity to observe and participate in the dances of Serbians, Albanians, and Gypsies who live in the Skopje area. He performed with the amateur group, Koko Racin. After World War II, he danced for two years with the Yugoslavian Army Ensemble. With the ensemble he was able to travel all over Yugoslavia, studying and learning regional dances and dance styles of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and the two atonomies, Banat and Kosmet, whose cultures are completely different from the other six republics. He was asked to help form Tanec, the Macedonian State Folk Ensemble, where he remained for 19 years as artistic director, choreographer, and lead solo dancer, traveling the world for 16 of those years. Atanas became a famed researcher, choreographer, consultant, and program director for many performing ensembles, such as Koko Racin, The Army Ensemble, Tanec, Ensemble Karpuc Pionerski, Blagoj Sosolcef, and Vlado Tasievski. Atanas Kolarovski Atanas Kolarovski on a button He has researched and collected dances and folk music from the different areas of southern Yugoslavia, including Macedonia, south Serbia, and Shiptar-Albania. In 1964, Atanas made his first teaching tour of the United States, Belgium, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland, awakening interest in Macedonian dance and music around the country and becoming known as "the man with the golden legs." After the second tour, he was reviewed as "the untiring teacher, researcher, chroeographer, consultant . . . a leading ambassador of Macedonia." Since then, besides having taught at all major folk dance camps throughout north America, he has also taught extensively in Europe and east Asia. A great musician, Atanas plays the accordion, the tupan, the kaval, the zurla, and drums. Since the 1970s, he, along with his wife, Ljupka (who was also a lead dancer with Tanec), and daughter has made his home in Seattle, Washington, where, for a while, he operated a successful ethnic restaurant, "Yugoslavia," featuring old-country style cuisine. He still tries to return to his home in Macedonia yearly and still organizes and conducts tours to his native country. Atanas has taught Macedonian and Serbian dances in Bangkok, Holland, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the United States.
